| 1 | Divergent Projection Patterns Revealed by Reconstruction of Individual Neurons in Orbitofrontal Cortex显示文摘The orbitofrontal cortex(OFC)is involved in diverse brain functions via its extensive projections to multiple target regions.There is a growing understanding of the overall outputs of the OFC at the population level,but reports of the projection patterns of individual OFC neurons across different cortical layers remain rare.Here,by combining neuronal sparse and bright labeling with a whole-brain florescence imaging system(fMOST),we obtained an uninterrupted three-dimensional whole-brain dataset and achieved the full morphological reconstruction of 25 OFC pyramidal neurons.We compared the wholebrain projection targets of these individual OFC neurons in different cortical layers as well as in the same cortical layer.We found cortical layer-dependent projections characterized by divergent patterns for information delivery.Our study not only provides a structural basis for understanding the principles of laminar organizations in the OFC,but also provides clues for future functional and behavioral studies on OFC pyramidal neurons. | Junjun Wang Pei Sun Xiaohua Lv Sen Jin Anan Li Jianxia Kuang Ning Li Yadong Gang Rui Guo Shaoqun Zeng Fuqiang Xu Yu-Hui Zhang | 2021 | Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,4: | 5 |
| 2 | Structural and magnetic properties of Sm_2Fe_(17-x)Nb_x (x = 0-4) alloys prepared by HDDR processes and their nitrides显示文摘Sm2Fe17-xNbxNy (x = 0-4) powder was synthesized by HDDR treatment and nitrogenation. The effects of partial Nb substitution for Fe on the structural and magnetic properties of Sm2Fe17?xNbx alloys and their nitrides were investigated. It was seen that Sm2(Fe,Nb)17 phase exists in both annealed and HDDR-treated Sm2Fe17?xNbx alloys. However, its content is decreased with the increase in Nb substitution. In annealed alloys, Sm2(Fe,Nb)17 phase becomes unstable and will dissociate into SmFe2 and Fe-rich phases when x > 1.5. With HDDR-treatment, the Nb concentration in recombined Sm2(Fe,Nb)17 phase is decreased, and the content of Fe-rich phases is increased. Sm2Fe17?xNbx powder exhibits dendritic cracks and fine particles with a size of less than 300 nm. In nitrogenated alloys, N atoms mainly enter 2:17-type phase to form Sm2(Fe,Nb)17Ny. Partial Nb atoms in Sm2(Fe,Nb)17Ny phase will be released or excluded by nitrogen atoms. Fe-rich phases increase, and are followed by the amorphous Sm2(Fe,Nb)17Ny phase. Nb substitution for Fe with x = 0.5 and 1.0 in Sm2Fe17?xNbxNy powders increases the coercivity and remanence. | 3 | Alterations of peripheral CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)T regulatory cells in mice with STZ-induced diabetes显示文摘Complications arising from abnormal immune responses are the major causes of mortality and morbidity in diabetic patients.CD4^(+)CD25^(+)T regulatory cells(Tregs)play pivotal roles in controlling immune homeostasis,immunity and tolerance.The effect of hyperglycemia on CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Tregs has not yet been addressed.Here we used streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic mice to study the effects of long-term hyperglycemia on CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Tregs in vivo.Four months after the onset of diabetes,the frequency of CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)T regulatory cells was significantly elevated in the spleen,peripheral blood lymphocytes(PBLs),peripheral lymph nodes(pLNs)and mesenteric LNs(mLNs).CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Tregs obtained from mice with diabetes displayed defective immunosuppressive functions and an activated/memory phenotype.Insulin administration rescued these changes in the CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Tregs of diabetic mice.The percentage of thymic CD4^(+)CD25^(+)naturally occurring Tregs(nTregs)and peripheral CD41Helios1Foxp31 nTregs were markedly enhanced in diabetic mice,indicating that thymic output contributed to the increased frequency of peripheral CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Tregs in diabetic mice.In an in vitro assay in which Tregs were induced fromCD4^(+)CD25^(+)T cells by transforming growth factor(TGF)-b,high glucose enhanced the efficiency of CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)T inducible Tregs(iTregs)induction.In addition,CD4^(+)CD25^(+)T cells from diabetic mice were more susceptible to CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)TiTreg differentiation than those cells from control mice.These data,together with the enhanced frequency of CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)T iTregs in the periphery of mice with diabetes,indicate that enhanced CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)T iTreg induction also contributes to a peripheral increase in CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Tregs in diabetic mice.Our data show that hyperglycemia may alter the frequency of CD4^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)T Tregs in mice,which may result in late-state immune dysfunction in patients with diabetes. | Yu Zhen Lina Sun He Liu Kaizhong Duan Chun Zeng Lianjun Zhang Di Jin Jianxia Peng Wenjun Ding Yong Zhao | 2012 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2012,9,1: | 4 |

| 5 | Optimal four-impulse rendezvous between coplanar elliptical orbits显示文摘Rendezvous in circular or near circular orbits has been investigated in great detail,while rendezvous in arbitrary eccentricity elliptical orbits is not sufficiently explored.Among the various optimization methods proposed for fuel optimal orbital rendezvous,Lawden's primer vector theory is favored by many researchers with its clear physical concept and simplicity in solution.Prussing has applied the primer vector optimization theory to minimum-fuel,multiple-impulse,time-fixed orbital rendezvous in a near circular orbit and achieved great success.Extending Prussing's work,this paper will employ the primer vector theory to study trajectory optimization problems of arbitrary eccentricity elliptical orbit rendezvous.Based on linearized equations of relative motion on elliptical reference orbit (referred to as T-H equations),the primer vector theory is used to deal with time-fixed multiple-impulse optimal rendezvous between two coplanar,coaxial elliptical orbits with arbitrary large eccentricity.A parameter adjustment method is developed for the prime vector to satisfy the Lawden's necessary condition for the optimal solution.Finally,the optimal multiple-impulse rendezvous solution including the time,direction and magnitudes of the impulse is obtained by solving the two-point boundary value problem.The rendezvous error of the linearized equation is also analyzed.The simulation results confirmed the analyzed results that the rendezvous error is small for the small eccentricity case and is large for the higher eccentricity.For better rendezvous accuracy of high eccentricity orbits,a combined method of multiplier penalty function with the simplex search method is used for local optimization.The simplex search method is sensitive to the initial values of optimization variables,but the simulation results show that initial values with the primer vector theory,and the local optimization algorithm can improve the rendezvous accuracy effectively with fast convergence,because the optimal results obtained by the primer vector theory are already very close to the actual optimal solution.If the initial values are taken randomly,it is difficult to converge to the optimal solution. | WANG JianXia BAOYIN HeXi LI JunFeng SUN FuChun | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,4: | 3 |

| 9 | Multi-Wavelength Ultra-Weak Fiber Bragg Grating Arrays for Long-Distance Quasi-Distributed Sensing显示文摘Fiber Bragg grating(FBG)array,consisting of a number of sensing units in a single optical fiber,can be practically applied in quasi-distributed sensing networks.Serious signal crosstalk occurring between large-serial of identical FBGs,however,has limited the further increase in the number of sensing units,thus restricting applications only for short-distance sensing networks.To reduce the signal crosstalk,we design two novel types of 10-kilometer-long FBG arrays with 10000 equally spaced gratings,written on-line using a customized grating inscription system,which is affiliated to a drawing tower.Main factors causing signal crosstalk,such as spectral shadowing and multiple reflections,are firstly investigated in theory.Consistent with the theoretical findings,experimental results are proving that ultra-weak(the reflectivity of—40 dB)and multi-wavelength gratings of a number more than 10000 can be readily identified,with satisfied low crosstalk.The maximum attenuation of grating signal and minimum signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)in a single-wavelength array are 10.69 dB and 5.62 dB,respectively.As a comparison,by increasing the number of central wavelengths to three,the attenuation can be effectively reduced to 5.54dB and the minimum SNR has been improved to 8.14 dB.The current study significantly enhances the multiplexing capacity of FBG arrays and demonstrates promising potentials for establishing large-capacity quasi-distributed sensing networks. | Wenjing GAO Jianxia LIU Huiyong GUO Xin JIANG Shaofa SUN Haihu YU | 2022 | Photonic Sensors2022,12,2: | 1 |

| 18 | Synthesis of ultra-narrow PbTe nanorods with extremely strong quantum confinement显示文摘Monodisperse, high-quality, ultra-narrow PbTe nanorods were synthesized for the first time in a one-pot, hot-injection reaction using trans-2-decenoic acid as the agents for lead precursors and tris(diethylamino)phosphine telluride together with free tris(diethylamino)phosphine as the telluride precursors. High monomer reactivity, rapid nucleation and fast growth rate derived from the new precursors led to the anisotropic growth of PbTe nanocrystals at low reaction temperatures(<150℃). In addition, the aspect ratio of PbTe nanorods could be largely adjusted from 4 to 15 by tuning the Pb to Te precursor molar ratio and reaction temperatures. Moreover, the synthesized ultra-narrow PbTe nanorods exhibited extremely strong quantum confinement and presented unique optical properties. | 19 | Controlling molecular weight of naphthalenediimide-based polymer acceptor P(NDI2OD-T2)for high performance all-polymer solar cells显示文摘A widely-used naphthalenediimide(NDI) based electron acceptor P(NDI2OD-T2) with different numberaverage molecular weight(M_n) of 38(N2200_L), 56(N2200_M), 102(N2200_H) kD a were successfully prepared.The effect of molecular-weight on the performance of all-polymer solar cells based on Poly(5-(5-(4,8-bis(5-decylthiophen-2-yl)-6-methylbenzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithophen-2-yl)thiophen-2-yl)-6,7-difluoro-8-(5-methylthiophen-2-yl)-2,3-bis(3-(octyloxy)phenyl)quinoxaline)(P2F-DE):N2200 was systematically investigated. The results reveal that N2200 with increased Mn show enhanced intermolecular interactions, resulting in improved light absorption and electron mobility. However, the strong aggregation trend of N2200_H can cause unfavorable morphology for exciton dissociation and carrier transport. The blend film using N2200 with moderate Mn actually develops more ideal phase segregation for efficient charge separation and transport, leading to balanced electron/hole mobility and less carrier recombination. Consequently, all-polymer solar cells employing P2F-DE as the electron donor and N2200_M as the electron acceptor show the highest efficiency of 4.81%, outperforming those using N2200_L(3.07%)and N2200_H(3.92%).
