| 5 | Multi-Wavelength Ultra-Weak Fiber Bragg Grating Arrays for Long-Distance Quasi-Distributed Sensing显示文摘Fiber Bragg grating(FBG)array,consisting of a number of sensing units in a single optical fiber,can be practically applied in quasi-distributed sensing networks.Serious signal crosstalk occurring between large-serial of identical FBGs,however,has limited the further increase in the number of sensing units,thus restricting applications only for short-distance sensing networks.To reduce the signal crosstalk,we design two novel types of 10-kilometer-long FBG arrays with 10000 equally spaced gratings,written on-line using a customized grating inscription system,which is affiliated to a drawing tower.Main factors causing signal crosstalk,such as spectral shadowing and multiple reflections,are firstly investigated in theory.Consistent with the theoretical findings,experimental results are proving that ultra-weak(the reflectivity of—40 dB)and multi-wavelength gratings of a number more than 10000 can be readily identified,with satisfied low crosstalk.The maximum attenuation of grating signal and minimum signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)in a single-wavelength array are 10.69 dB and 5.62 dB,respectively.As a comparison,by increasing the number of central wavelengths to three,the attenuation can be effectively reduced to 5.54dB and the minimum SNR has been improved to 8.14 dB.The current study significantly enhances the multiplexing capacity of FBG arrays and demonstrates promising potentials for establishing large-capacity quasi-distributed sensing networks. | Wenjing GAO Jianxia LIU Huiyong GUO Xin JIANG Shaofa SUN Haihu YU | 2022 | Photonic Sensors2022,12,2: | 1 |

| 12 | Surgical treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma with cirrhotic esophageal varices and hypersplenism: a 184 case report显示文摘In treating hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients with advanced cirrhosis,one of the most difficult problems is concomitant esophageal varices and hypersplenism.Whether these conditions should be treated surgically in association with HCC resection is still in debate.To elucidate whether esophageal devascularization or splenectomy is beneficial when simultaneously performed with liver resection in HCC patients with both varices and hypersplenism,HCC patients(n=184)with esophageal varices and hypersplenism received one of the three treatments:simultaneous liver resection and esophageal devascularization(Group I,n=41);simultaneous liver resection and splenectomy(Group II,n=61);liver resection only(Group III,n=82).The incidences of postoperative complications of the three groups were 31.7%,29.5%and 24.4%,respectively,with no significant difference among them.The 5-year tumor-free survival rates for the group I,group II and group III were 34.1%,36.1%and 37.8%,respectively.Variceal bleeding caused death by only 4.2%in group I,but by 14.3%in group II and 23.2%in group III.The survival rates in the group I and the group II were comparable to those in the group III,however,the recurrences of postoperative fatal variceal bleeding in group I and group II were significantly lower than those in group III.The results suggest that HCC patients with esophageal varices and hypersplenism should undergo hepatic resection plus esophageal devascularization or splenectomy if radical resection of HCC can be expected. | JIANG Bin CHEN Xiaoping HUANG Zhiyong ZHANG Zhiwei HE Songqing WANG Shaofa WU Zaide QIU Fazu | 2007 | Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,1: | 0 |
| 13 | Structure-activity relationship of pyrazol-4-ylpyridine derivatives and identification of a radiofluorinated probe for imaging the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M4显示文摘There is an accumulating body of evidence implicating the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor4(M4)in schizophrenia and dementia with Lewy bodies,however,a clinically validated M4positron emission tomography(PET)radioligand is currently lacking.As such,the aim of this study was to develop a suitable M4PET ligand that allows the non-invasive visualization of M4in the brain.Structure-activity relationship studies of pyrazol-4-yl-pyridine derivates led to the discovery of target compound 12—a subtype-selective positive allosteric modulator(PAM).The radiofluorinated analogue,[18F]12,was synthesized in 28±10%radiochemical yield,>37 GBq/μmol and an excellent radiochemical purity>99%.Initial in vitro autoradiograms on rodent brain sections were performed in the absence of carbachol and showed moderate specificity as well as a low selectivity of[18F]12 for the M4-rich striatum.However,in the presence of carbachol,a significant increase in tracer binding was observed in the rat striatum,which was reduced by>60%under blocking conditions,thus indicating that orthosteric ligand interaction is required for efficient binding o f[18F]12 to the allosteric site.Remarkably,however,the presence of carbachol was not required for high specific binding in the non-human primate(NHP)and human striatum,and did not further improve the specificity and selectivity of[18F]12 in higher species.These results pointed towards significant species-differences and paved the way for a preliminary PET study in NHP,where peak brain uptake of[18F]12 was found in the putamen and temporal cortex.In conclusion,we report on the identification and preclinical development of the first radiofluorinated M4PET radioligand with promising attributes.The availability of a clinically validated M4PET radioligand harbors potential to facilitate drug development and provide a useful diagnostic tool for non-invasive imaging. | Ahmed Haider Xiaoyun Deng Olivia Mastromihalis Stefanie K.Pfister Troels E.Jeppesen Zhiwei Xiao Vi Pham Shaofa Sun Jian Rong Chunyu Zhao Jiahui Chen Yinlong Li Theresa R.Connors April T.Davenport James B.Daunais Vahid Hosseini Wenqing Ran Arthur Christopoulos Lu Wang Celine Valant Steven H.Liang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,1: | 0 |
