| 1 | Super enhancer inhibitors suppress MYC driven transcriptional amplification and tumor progression in osteosarcoma显示文摘Osteosarcoma is the most common primary bone sarcoma that mostly occurs in young adults. The causes of osteosarcoma are heterogeneous and still not fully understood. Identification of novel, important oncogenic factors in osteosarcoma and development of better, effective therapeutic approaches are in urgent need for better treatment of osteosarcoma patients. In this study, we uncovered that the oncogene MYC is significantly upregulated in metastastic osteosarcoma samples. In addition, high MYC expression is associated with poor survival of osteosarcoma patients. Analysis of MYC targets in osteosarcoma revealed that most of the osteosarcoma super enhancer genes are bound by MYC. Treatment of osteosarcoma cells with super enhancer inhibitors THZ1 and JQ1 effectively suppresses the proliferation, migration, and invasion of osteosarcoma cells. Mechanistically,THZ1 treatment suppresses a large group of super enhancer containing MYC target genes including CDK6 and TGFB2. | 3 | Rapid and selective uranium extraction from aqueous solution under visible light in the absence of solid photocatalyst显示文摘Extraction of uranium from radioactive waste-water is of significant importance for environmental protection and the recovery of uranium resource.Different from the previous reports to use the solid absorbent/photocatalyst for U(VI)removal,herein,we proposed a new eco-friendly method for the rapid and selective extraction of uranium from aqueous solutions under visible light without solid materials.At optimal pH value and in the presence of organics like alcohols,the U(VI)could be extracted efficiently to form brown uranium solid over wide uranium concentrations under anaerobic condition and visible light,by utilizing the excitation of the given U(VI)species.With comprehensive modelling of the electronic ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)properties,it is proved that pH adjusting towards U(VI)could induce efficient ligand-to-metal-charge-transfer(LMCT)within the uranyl complex under visible light and the reduction of U(VI)to form U(V),which can be transformed into U(IV)via disproportionation reaction.The resulting U(IV)in solid phase makes the extraction much more convenient in operation.More importantly,the excellent selectivity for uranium extraction over interfering alkali metal ions,transition metal ions and the lanthanide metal ions shows a powerful application potential. | Shaojun Li Yezi Hu Zewen Shen Yawen Cai Zhuoyu Ji Xiaoli Tan Zhixin Liu Guixia Zhao Shuxian Hu Xiangke Wang | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,8: | 2 |

| 6 | Environmental heterogeneity and productivity drive the assemblage of benthic diatom:a case study of the Three Gorges Reservoir显示文摘Dam construction has a critical effect on river ecosystems in the world,resulting in a rapid decline in biodiversity and ecosystem health.However,the effect of dam construction on the assemblage pattern of benthic diatoms remains unclear.The benthic diatoms assemblages in the tributary backwater area of the Three Gorges Reservoir(TGR)were investigated under low water level(LWL)and high water level(HWL)conditions.Results show that Discostella stelligera,Nitzschia palea,and Craticula subminuscula were dominant species in LWL,while Achnanthidium minutissimum and Nitzschia dissipata were dominant in HWL.Furthermore,environmental variables,productivity parameters,diversity indices,and community similarity were found significantly different between LWL and HWL periods.The Mantel test indicated that both environmental and spatial factors had significant effects on diatom communities in backwater area,while productivity was also a key driving force in LWL.The variation partitioning analysis(VPA)further demonstrated that environment factors could explain the largest variance of diatom assemblages in HWL(9%)and LWL(11%),followed by spatial factors.The relative importance of productivity to diatom community was significantly enhanced in LWL,but only a slight effect was found in HWL.These results indicate that the diatom assemblages were shaped by both environmental filtering and spatial factors.The relative importance of spatial factors depended on the degree of productivity.Therefore,the homogenization of diatom communities due to environmental disturbance,e.g.eutrophication and dam building,is the underlying mechanism in assembling the benthic diatoms. | Songqi YANG Tian OUYANG Shaojun XU Lu ZHAO Lulu JI Junqiong SHI Zhongxing WU | 2023 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,3: | 0 |
