3Effect of different concentrations of surfactant on the wettability of coal by molecular dynamics simulation显示文摘Anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS)at varying concentrations was selected to investigate the influence on the wettability of Zhaozhuang Coal by molecular dynamics simulation.Six groups of water/surfactant/coal systems with different concentrations were constructed.The influence of surfactant with different concentrations on the wettability of coal was concluded by analyzing various properties from the energetic behaviors to the dynamic characteristics.The results show that the interfacial tension decreases sharply and then rises slowly with the increase of SDBS surfactant concentration,obtaining that surfactants can obviously reduce the interfacial tension.The surfactant molecules could be detected at the water/coal interface through analyzing the system’s relative concentration distribution.In addition,the difference in the wettability of surfactants on coal surfaces is caused by the spatial distribution differences of alkyl chains and the benzene ring of the surfactant molecules.And the negative interaction energy between SDBS and the coal surface indicates that adsorption process is spontaneous.Furthermore,it is of great practical significance for improving the dust reduction effect and reducing the disaster of coal dust by exploring the effects of surfactant molecules on the wettability of coal.Junqing Meng Feifei Yin Shichao Li Ruquan Zhong Zeyuan Sheng Baisheng Nie 2019International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2019,29,4:20
4On comparison of modified ADRCs for nonlinear uncertain systems with time delay显示文摘To tackle systems with both uncertainties and time delays, several modified active disturbance rejection control(ADRC) methods, including delayed designed ADRC(DD-ADRC), polynomial based predictive ADRC(PP-ADRC), Smith predictor based ADRC(SP-ADRC) and predictor observer based ADRC(PO-ADRC), have been proposed in the past years. This paper is aimed at rigorously investigating the performance of these modified ADRCs, such that the improvements of each method can be demonstrated.The capability to tackle time delay, the necessity of stable open loop and the performance of rejecting uncertainties for these methods are fully studied and compared. It is proven that large time delay cannot be tolerated for the stability of the closed-loop systems based on DD-ADRC and PP-ADRC. Moreover, stable open loop is shown to be necessary for stabilizing the closed-loop systems based on SP-ADRC. Furthermore,the performance of rejecting the 'total disturbance' at low frequency for these modified ADRCs is evaluated and quantitatively discussed. 6MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF FINE PITCH DEVICES SOLDERED JOINTS BASED ON CREEP MODEL显示文摘Nonlinear analyses of quad flat package (QFP) on printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies subjected to thermal cycling conditions are presented.Two different solders are considered,namely, Sn37Pb and Sn3.5Ag.The stress and strain response of fine pitch devices soldered joints was investigated by using finite element method based on Garofalo-Arrheninus model.The simulated results indicate creep distribution of soldered joints is not uniform,the heel and toe of soldered joints, the area between soldered joints and leads are the creep concentrated sites.The similar phenomena of stress curves simulated based on Garofalo-Arrhenlnus model and Anand equations is confirmed,and the creep strain value of Sn3.5Ag soldered joints is lower than that of Sn37Pb soldered joints. Thermal cycling results show that Sn3.5Ag strongly outperforms Sn37Pb for QFP devices under the studied test condition.This is well matched with the experimental outcome analyzed.In addition,the soldered devices were tested by micro-joints tester,the tensile strength of Sn3.5Ag soldered joints is found to be higher than that of Sn37Pb soldered joints.By analyzing the fracture microstructure of soldered joints,it is found that fracture mechanism of Sn3.5Ag soldered joints is toughness fracture, while fracture mechanism of Sn37Pb soldered joints includes brittle fracture and toughness fracture. 7How Work Organization Affects the Prevalence of WMSDs: A Case-control Study显示文摘Objective In this study, we aimed at exploring the association between work-related musculoskeletal disorders(WMSDs) and work organization based on a case-control study. Methods A total of 1938 workers who claimed to suffer from WMSDs were selected from Beijing, Henan, Hubei, and the Guangdong province. The control group consisted of 2009 workers employed in similar industries without severe disease or musculoskeletal discomforts. We used a modified version of the questionnaire developed by the NMQ and the DMQ to investigate individual and work-related factors. Results A total of 13 variables(P<0.1) were selected by the chi-square test and finally, 7 variables entered into the equation, with 6 variables reaching statistical significance(P<0.05). The odds ratios(OR) of ‘work changing with season' and ‘sufficient rest time' did not reach 1(0.749 and 0.441, respectively). In addition, ‘sufficient rest time' seemed to be the stronger protective factor according to its higher standardized coefficient. And ‘repetitive work every minute', ‘constantly repetitive work'(every day), ‘shortage of site personnel', and ‘often switching shifts with others' seemed to be the risk factors. Conclusion Work organization may have comprehensive effects on the occurrence of WMSDs. 8Osteoarthritis:pathogenic signaling pathways and therapeutic targets显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA)is a chronic degenerative joint disorder that leads to disability and affects more than 500 million population worldwide.OA was believed to be caused by the wearing and tearing of articular cartilage,but it is now more commonly referred to as a chronic whole-joint disorder that is initiated with biochemical and cellular alterations in the synovial joint tissues,which leads to the histological and structural changes of the joint and ends up with the whole tissue dysfunction.Currently,there is no cure for OA,partly due to a lack of comprehensive understanding of the pathological mechanism of the initiation and progression of the disease.Therefore,a better understanding of pathological signaling pathways and key molecules involved in OA pathogenesis is crucial for therapeutic target design and drug development.In this review,we first summarize the epidemiology of OA,including its prevalence,incidence and burdens,and OA risk factors.We then focus on the roles and regulation of the pathological signaling pathways,such as Wnt/β-catenin,NF-κB,focal adhesion,HIFs,TGFβ/ΒΜP and FGF signaling pathways,and key regulators AMPK,mTOR,and RUNX2 in the onset and development of OA.In addition,the roles of factors associated with OA,including MMPs,ADAMTS/ADAMs,and PRG4,are discussed in detail.Finally,we provide updates on the current clinical therapies and clinical trials of biological treatments and drugs for OA.Research advances in basic knowledge of articular cartilage biology and OA pathogenesis will have a significant impact and translational value in developing OA therapeutic strategies.Qing Yao Xiaohao Wu Chu Tao Weiyuan Gong Mingjue Chen Minghao Qu Yiming Zhong Tailin He Sheng Chen Guozhi Xiao 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,3:11
9An experimental and thermodynamic equilibrium investigation of the Pb,Zn,Cr,Cu,Mn and Ni partitioning during sewage sludge incineration显示文摘The effects of different chlorides and operational conditions on the distribution and speciation of six heavy metals(Pb, Zn, Cr, Cu, Mn and Ni) during sludge incineration were investigated using a simulated laboratory tubular-furnace reactor. A thermodynamic equilibrium investigation using the Fact Sage software was performed to compare the experimental results. The results indicate that the volatility of the target metals was enhanced as the chlorine concentration increased. Inorganic-Cl influenced the volatilization of heavy metals in the order of Pb > Zn > Cr > Cu > Mn > Ni. However, the effects of organic-Cl on the volatility of Mn, Pb and Cu were greater than the effects on Zn, Cr and Ni.With increasing combustion temperature, the presence of organic-Cl(PVC) and inorganic-Cl(NaCl) improved the transfer of Pb and Zn from bottom ash to fly ash or fuse gas. However,the presence of chloride had no obvious influence on Mn, Cu and Ni. Increased retention time could increase the volatilization rate of heavy metals; however, this effect was insignificant. During the incineration process, Pb readily formed Pb SiO4 and remained in the bottom ash. 10Selective tropism of liver stem cells to hepatocellular carcinoma in vivo显示文摘AIM: To investigate the selective tropism of liver stem cells to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in an animal model and its feasibility as a vector to deliver therapeutic genes for targeted therapy of HCC. METHODS: WB-F344, a kind of rat liver stem cell, was infected with recombinant virus to establish a cell line with stable, high-level expressing enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP). An animal model of HCC in Wistar rats was established by implanting HCC cells (CBRH7919) combined with an immunosuppressive drug. EGFP labeled liver stem cells were injected into caudal veins of the animals and distribution was observed at different time points after injection. SDF-1 and c-kit expression in non-tumor liver and tumor tissue were analysed by immunohistochemistry for the relationshiop between the expression and migration of liver stem cells. Furthermore, hepatic stem cells were injected via the portal vein, hepatic artery, caudal vein, or directly into the pericancerous liver tissue, respectively, and effects on migration, localization, and proliferation of the hepatic stem cells within the tumor tissue were observed and analyzed. RESULTS: Recombinant adenovirus could deliver the EGFP gene to hepatic stem cells. A new stem cell line, named WB-EGFP, was established that stably expressed EGFP. WB-EGFP cells still showed selective tropism towards HCC and EGFP expression was stable in vivo. According to immunohistochemistry results, SDF-1 may not be related to the mechanisms of tropism of hepatic stem cells. Different application sites affected the distribution of liver stem cells. Injection via the portalvein was superior with regard to selective migration, localization, and proliferation of the hepatic stem cells within the tumor tissue. CONCLUSION: Liver stem cells have the biological behavior of selective migration to HCC in vivo and they could localize and proliferate within HCC tissue stably expressing the target gene. 11The Development of A Fluorescence Polarization Immunoassay for Aflatoxin Detection显示文摘A fluorescence polarization immunoassay(FPIA)was developed for the analysis ofaflatoxins(AFs)using an anti-aflatoxin B1(AFB1)monoclonal antibody and a novel fluorescein-labeled AFB1tracer.The FPIA showed an IC50 value of 23.33ng/mL with a limit of detection of 13.12 ng/mL for AFB1.The cross-reactivities of AFB1,AFB2,AFG1,AFG2,AFM1,and AFM2 with the antibody were100%,65.7%,143%,23.5%,111.4%,and 2%,respectively.The group-specificity of anti-AFB1mAb indicated that the FPIA could potentially be used in a screening method for the detection of total AFs,albeit not AFG2 and AFM2.The total time required for analyzing 96 samples in one microplate was less than 5 min.This study demonstrates the potential usefulness of the FPIA as a rapid and simple technique for monitoring AFs.SHENG Ya Jie EREMIN Sergei MI Tie Jun ZHANG Su Xia SHEN Jian Zhong WANG Zhan Hui 2014Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2014,27,2:10

13Optimization of the Assembly Efficiency for Lidamycin Chromophore Bound to its Apoprotein:A Case Study using Orthogonal Array显示文摘Objective Lidamycin (LDM) can be dissociated to an apoprotein (LDP) and an active enediyne chromophore (AE).The detached AE can reassemble with its LDP‐containing fusion protein to endow the latter with potent antitumor activity.However,the reassembly of AE with LDP is affected by several factors.Our aim was to optimize the assembly efficiency of the AE with a LDP‐containing fusion protein and investigate the influence of several factors on the assembly efficacy.Methods A method based on RP‐HPLC was developed to analyze the assembly rate,and an orthogonal experimental design L9 (3 4 ) was used to investigate the effects of temperature,assembly time,pH and molecular ratio of LDP‐containing fusion protein to AE on the assembly rate.Furthermore,the determined optimum conditions for the assembly rate of the LDP‐containing fusion protein with AE were applied and evaluated.Results A calibration curve based on the LDM micromolar concentration against the peak‐area of AE by HPLC was obtained.The order in which individual factors in the orthogonal experiment affected the assembly rate were temperature>time>pH>molar ratio of AE to protein and all were statistically significant (P<0.01).The optimal assembly conditions were temperature at 10°C,time of 12 h,pH 7.0,and the molar ratio of AE: protein of 5:1.The assembly rate of AE with a LDP‐containing fusion protein was improved by 23% after condition optimization.Conclusion The assembly rate of chromophore of lidamycin with its LDP‐containing fusion protein was improved after condition optimization by orthogonal design,and the optimal conditions described herein should prove useful for the development of this type of LDP‐containing fusion protein.ZHONG Gen Shen GUO Xiao Fang ZHANG Sheng Hua ZHEN Yong Su 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,6:9

15Risk analysis for the highly pathogenic avian influenza in China's Mainland using meta-modeling显示文摘A logistic model was employed to correlate the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) with related environmental factors and the migration of birds. Based on MODIS data of the normalized difference vegetation index, environmental factors were considered in generating a probability map with the aid of logistic regression. A Bayesian maximum entropy model was employed to explore the spatial and temporal correlations of HPAI incidence. The results show that proximity to water bodies and national highways was statistically relevant to the occurrence of HPAI. Migratory birds, mainly waterfowl, were important infection sources in HPAI transmission. In addition, the HPAI outbreaks had high spatiotemporal autocorrelation. This epidemic spatial range fluctuated 45 km owing to different distribution patterns of cities and water bodies. Furthermore, two outbreaks were likely to occur with a period of 22 d. 17Olivine-norite rock detected by the lunar rover Yutu-2 likely crystallized from the SPA-impact melt pool显示文摘Chang’E-4 landed in the South Pole-Aitken(SPA)basin,providing a unique chance to probe the composition of the lunar interior.Its landing site is located on ejecta strips in Von Karm´an crater that´possibly originate from the neighboring Finsen crater.A surface rock and the lunar regolith at 10 sites along the rover Yutu-2 track were measured by the onboard Visible and Near-Infrared Imaging Spectrometer in the first three lunar days of mission operations.In situ spectra of the regolith have peak band positions at 1 and 2μm,similar to the spectral data of Finsen ejecta from the Moon Mineralogy Mapper,which confirms that the regolith’s composition of the landing area is mostly similar to that of Finsen ejecta.The rock spectrum shows similar band peak positions,but stronger absorptions,suggesting relatively fresh exposure.The rock may consist of 38.1±5.4%low-Ca pyroxene,13.9±5.1%olivine and 48.0±3.1%plagioclase,referred to as olivine-norite.The plagioclase-abundant and olivine-poor modal composition of the rock is inconsistent with the origin of the mantle,but representative of the lunar lower crust.Alternatively,the rock crystallized from the impact-derived melt pool formed by the SPA-impact event via mixing the lunar crust and mantle materials.This scenario is consistent with fast-cooling thermal conditions of a shallow melt pool,indicated by the fine to medium-sized texture(<3 mm)of the rock and the SPA-impact melting model[Icarus 2012;220:730–43].Honglei Lin Zhiping He Wei Yang Yangting Lin Rui Xu Chi Zhang Meng-Hua Zhu Rui Chang Jinhai Zhang Chunlai Li Hongyu Lin Yang Liu Sheng Gou Yong Wei Sen Hu Changbin Xue Jianfeng Yang Jie Zhong Xiaohui Fu Weixing Wan Yongliao Zou 2020National Science Review2020,7,5:9
18Histone deacetylase 6 delays motor neuron degeneration by ameliorating the autophagic flux defect in a transgenic mouse model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis显示文摘Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS) is a fatal neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the selective loss of motor neurons. Abnormal protein aggregation and impaired protein degradation are believed to contribute to the pathogenesis of this disease. Our previous studies showed that an autophagic flux defect is involved in motor neuron degeneration in the SOD1G93 A mouse model of ALS. Histone deacetylase 6(HDAC6) is a class II deacetylase that promotes autophagy by inducing the fusion of autophagosomes to lysosomes. In the present study, we showed that HDAC6 expression was decreased at the onset of disease and became extremely low at the late stage in ALS mice. Using lentivirus-HDAC6 gene injection, we found that HDAC6 overexpression prolonged the lifespan and delayed the motor neuron degeneration in ALS mice. Moreover, HDAC6 induced the formation of autolysosomes and accelerated the degradation of SOD1 protein aggregates in the motor neurons of ALS mice. 19A parameter formula connecting PID and ADRC显示文摘This paper presents a parameter formula connecting the well-known proportional-integralderivative(PID)control and the active disturbance rejection control(ADRC).On the one hand,this formula gives a quantitative lower bound to the bandwidth of the extended state observer(ESO)used in ADRC,implying that the ESO is not necessarily of high gain.On the other hand,enlightened by the design of ADRC,a new PID tuning rule is provided,which can guarantee both strong robustness and nice tracking performance of the closed-loop systems under the PID control.Moreover,it is proved that the ESO can be rewritten as a suitable linear combination of the three terms in PID,which can give a better estimate for the system uncertainty than the single integral term in the PID controller.Theoretical results are verified also by simulations in the paper.Sheng ZHONG Yi HUANG Lei GUO 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,9:9
20Recent Progress in CRISPR/Cas9 Technology显示文摘The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/Cas9 system, a simple and efficient tool for genome editing, has experienced rapid progress in its technology and applicability in the past two years. Here, we review the recent advances in CRISPR/Cas9 technology and the ways that have been adopted to expand our capacity for precise genome manipulation. First, we introduce the mechanism of CRISPR/Cas9, including its biochemical and structural implications. Second, we highlight the latest improvements in the CRISPR/Cas9 system, especially Cas9 protein modifications for customization. Third, we review its current applications, in which the versatile CRISPR/Cas9 system was employed to edit the genome, epigenome, or RNA of various organisms. Although CRISPR/Cas9 allows convenient genome editing accompanied by many benefits, we should not ignore the significant ethical and biosafety concerns that it raises.
