1Microstructure and formation mechanism of titanium matrix composites coating on Ti-6Al-4V by laser cladding显示文摘Laser cladding experiments were done on a 5-kW continuous wave CO2 laser to synthesize TiC and TiB rein- forced titanium matrix composite coatings on Ti-6Al-4V alloy with a mixture of Ti and B4C precursor powder. The ther- modynamics of the reactions were calculated and analyzed. The microstructure and phase evolution of TiB and TiC com- posites were investigated. The results showed that the chemical reaction between Ti and B4C would release much heat, and these compounds, TiC, TiB, and small amount of TiB2, can be formed on the surface of Ti-6Al-4V alloy if the supplied en- ergy is sufficient to excite the reaction among the initial products. A good metallurgical bond between the coating and the substrate can be achieved. 2Essential roles of exosome and circRNA_101093 on ferroptosis desensitization in lung adenocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Resistance to ferroptosis,a regulated cell death caused by irondependent excessive accumulation of lipid peroxides,has recently been linked to lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD).Intracellular antioxidant systems are required for protection against ferroptosis.The purpose of the present studywas to investigate whether and how extracellular system desensitizes LUAD cells to ferroptosis.Methods:Established human lung fibroblasts MRC-5,WI38,and human LUAD H1650,PC9,H1975,H358,A549,and H1299 cell lines,tumor and matched normal adjacent tissues of LUAD,and plasma from healthy individuals and LUAD patients were used in this study.Immunohistochemistry and immunoblotting were used to analyze protein expression,and quantitative reverse transcription-PCR was used to analyze mRNA expression.Cell viability,cell death,and the lipid reactive oxygen species generationwere measured to evaluate the responses to ferroptosis.Exosomes were observed using transmission electron microscope.The localization of arachidonic acid(AA)was detected using click chemistry labeling followed by confocal microscopy.Interactions between RNAs and proteins were detected using RNA pull-down,RNA immunoprecipitation and photoactivatable ribonucleoside-enhanced crosslinking and immunoprecipitation methods.Proteomic analysis was used to investigate RNA-regulated proteins,and metabolomic analysis was performed to analyze metabolites.Cellderived xenograft,patient-derived xenograft,cell-implanted intrapulmonary LUAD mouse models and plasma/tissue specimens from LUAD patients were used to validate the molecular mechanism.Results:Plasma exosome from LUAD patients specifically reduced lipid peroxidation and desensitized LUAD cells to ferroptosis.A potential explanation is that exosomal circRNA_101093(cir93)maintained an elevation in intracellular cir93 in LUAD to modulate AA,a poly-unsaturated fatty acid critical for ferroptosisassociated increased peroxidation in the plasma membrane.Mechanistically,cir93 interacted with and increased fatty acid-binding protein 3(FABP3),which transported AA and facilitated its reaction with taurine.Thus,global AA was reduced,whereas N-arachidonoyl taurine(NAT,the product of AA and taurine)was induced.Notably,the role of NAT in suppressing AA incorporation into the plasma membrane was also revealed.In pre-clinical in vivo models,reducing exosome improved ferroptosis-based treatment.Conclusion:Exosome and cir93 are essential for desensitizing LUAD cells to ferroptosis,and blocking exosome may be helpful for future LUAD treatment.Xiao Zhang Yunhua Xu Lifang Ma Keke Yu Yongjie Niu Xin Xu Yi Shi Susu Guo Xiangfei Xue Yikun Wang Shiyu Qiu Jiangtao Cui Hong Wang Xiaoting Tian Yayou Miao Fanyu Meng Yongxia Qiao Yongchun Yu Jiayi Wang 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,4:10

4Glycerol aerobic oxidation to glyceric acid over Pt/hydrotalcite catalysts at room temperature显示文摘Glycerol(GLY) aerobic oxidation in an aqueous solution is one of the most prospective pathways in biomass transformation, where the supported catalysts based on noble metals(mainly Au, Pd, Pt) are most commonly employed. Herein, Pt nanoparticles supported on rehydrated MgxAl1-hydrotalcite(denoted as re-MgxAl1-LDH-Pt) were prepared via impregnation-reduction method followed by an in situ rehydration process, which showed high activity and selectivity towards GLY oxidation to produce glyceric acid(GLYA) at room temperature. The metal-support interfacial structure and catalyst basicity were modulated by changing the Mg/Al molar ratio of the hydrotalcite precursor, and the optimal performance was achieved on re-Mg6Al1-LDH-Pt with a GLY conversion of 87.6% and a GLYA yield of 58.6%, which exceeded the traditional activated carbon and oxide supports. A combinative study on structural characterizations(XANES, CO-FTIR spectra, and benzoic acid titration) proves that a higher Mg/Al molar ratio promotes the formation of positively charged Ptd+species at metal-support interface, which accelerates bond cleavage of a-C–H and improves catalytic activity. Moreover, a higher Mg/Al molar ratio provides a stronger basicity of support that contributes to the oxidation of terminal-hydroxyl and thus enhances the selectivity of GLYA. 5Color-tunable ultralong organic phosphorescence materials for visual UV-light detection显示文摘Ultralong organic phosphorescence(UOP)materials have roused considerable attention in the field of photonics and optoelectronics owing to the feature of long-lived emission lifetimes.However,to develop UOP materials with color-tunability is still a formidable challenge.Here,we report a class of UOP materials containing carbonyl,amino or amide groups,exhibiting colortunable persistent luminescence ranging from blue(458 nm)to yellow-green(508 nm)under different UV wavelength excitation.Taken theoretical and experimental results together,we conclude that the excitation dependent color-tunable UOP emission is ascribed to multiple emission centers from single molecular and aggregated states in crystal.Given color-tunable UOP feature,these materials are used to successfully realize visual UV-light detection.This finding not only provides a strategy to design new organic phosphorescent molecules with colorful emission,but also extends the scope of the applications of purely organic phosphorescent materials.Lifang Bian Huili Ma Wenpeng Ye Anqi Lv He Wang Wenyong Jia Long Gu Huifang Shi Zhongfu An Wei Huang 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,10:3
6Research on development of in situ titanium matrix composites and in situ reaction thermodynamics of the reaction systems显示文摘The in situ synthesis method for titanium matrix composites (TMCs) has obvious technical and economical advantages over other traditional methods. Ultrafine reinforcement particles were formed in situ by chemical reaction between elements or between elements and compounds. Using the approach, contamination at the composite matrix/reinforcement particle interface did not occur,interface bonding was good, and the reinforcement particle was the rmodynamically stable. 16F-Actin reassembly during focal adhesion impacts single cell mechanics and nanoscale membrane structure显示文摘Focal adhesions play an important role in cell spreading,migration,and overall mechanical integrity.The relationship of cell structural and mechanical properties was investigated in the context of focal adhesion processes.Combined atomic force microscopy(AFM) and laser scanning confocal microscopy(LSCM) was utilized to measure single cell mechanics,in correlation with cellular morphology and membrane structures at a nanometer scale.Characteristic stages of focal adhesion were verified via confocal fluorescent studies,which confirmed three representative F-actin assemblies,actin dot,filaments network,and long and aligned fibrous bundles at cytoskeleton.Force-deformation profiles of living cells were measured at the single cell level,and displayed as a function of height deformation,relative height deformation and relative volume deformation.As focal adhesion progresses,single cell compression profiles indicate that both membrane and cytoskeleton stiffen,while spreading increases especially from focal complex to focal adhesion.Correspondingly,AFM imaging reveals morphological geometries of spherical cap,spreading with polygon boundaries,and elongated or polarized spreading.Membrane features are dominated by protrusions of 41-207 nm tall,short rods with 1-6 μm in length and 10.2-80.0 nm in height,and long fibrous features of 31-246 nm tall,respectively.The protrusion is attributed to local membrane folding,and the rod and fibrous features are consistent with bilayer decorating over the F-actin assemblies.Taken collectively,the reassembly of F-actin during focal adhesion formation is most likely responsible for the changes in cellular mechanics,spreading morphology,and membrane structural features.ZIMMER Christopher C SHI LiFang SHIH YiPing LI JieRen JIN LeeWay LO SuHao LIU GangYu 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,9:1
17In/ex-situ Raman spectra combined with EIS for observing interface reactions between Ni-rich layered oxide cathode and sulfide electrolyte显示文摘The interfacial instability between Ni-rich layered oxide cathodes and sulfide electrolytes is a serious problem,leading to poor electrochemical properties of all-solid-state lithium batteries(ASSLB).The chemical/electrochemical side reactions are considered to be the origin of the interfacial deterioration.However,the influence of chemical and electrochemical side reactions on the interfacial deterioration is rarely studied specifically.In this work,the deterioration mechanism of the interface between LiNi0.85-xCo0.15AlxO2 and Li10GeP2S12 is investigated in detail by combining in/ex-situ Raman spectra and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS).It can be determined that chemical side reaction between LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 and Li10GeP2S12 will occur immediately once contacted,and the interfacial deterioration becomes more serious after charge-discharge process under the dual effects of chemical and electrochemical side reactions.Moreover,our research reveals that the interfacial stability and the cycle performance of ASSLB can be greatly enhanced by increasing Al-substitution for Ni in LiNi0.85-xCo0.15AlxO2.In particular,the capacity retention of LiNi0.6Co0.15Al0.25O2 cathode after 200 cycles can reach 81.9%,much higher than that of LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 cathode(12.5%@200 cycles).This work gives an insight to study the interfacial issues between Ni-rich layered oxide cathode and sulfide electrolyte for ASSLBs.Xuelei Li Huilan Guan Zhijie Ma Ming Liang Dawei Song Hongzhou Zhang Xixi Shi Chunliang Li Lifang Jiao Lianqi Zhang 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:1

19Advanced duodenal carcinoma:Chemotherapy efficacy and analysis of prognostic factors显示文摘Objective This study aimed to determine the efficacy of chemotherapy and to identify potential chemotherapy agents to treat advanced primary duodenal carcinoma(PDC). Methods Seventy-three patients with advanced PDC were included in the study. Response rate(RR), disease control rate(DCR), progression-free survival(PFS), overall survival(OS) and prognosis were compared among patients using the Cox proportional hazards model. Results The overall RR and DCR of 52 patients were 21.15% and 69.23%, respectively. The median PFS and OS times were 4.51 and 11.47 months, respectively. Palliative chemotherapy improved the OS of patients with advanced PDC compared with patients who did not receive chemotherapy(14.28 months vs. 5.20 months, HR = 0.205, 95% CI: 0.077 to 0.547, P = 0.0016). Multivariate analysis indicated mucinous histology and liver metastasis as factors predictive of poor prognosis in patients with advanced PDC. Conclusion Palliative chemotherapy may improve the OS of patients with advanced PDC. 20Risk-stratification model to select conversion surgery for advanced gastric cancer patients显示文摘Objective: Conversion surgery is a surgery with a purpose of R0 resection in primary advanced gastric cancer(GC) that responded well to systemic chemotherapy. This study aimed to explore the efficacy of conversion surgery for advanced GC.Methods: A total of 618 advanced GC patients receiving systemic chemotherapy were stratified into low-,moderate-and high-risk groups based on a nomogram-predicted probability of overall survival. The survival of conversion surgery and chemotherapy alone groups was compared using the log-rank test and Cox regression analysis after propensity score matching(PSM).Results: A nomogram with good discrimination(concordance index: 0.65) and accurate calibration was constructed. After PSM, the median survival time(MST) of conversion surgery was 26.80 months, compared with16.60 months of chemotherapy alone(P<0.001).
