| 1 | Adsorptive property of Cu^(2+)-loaded montmorillonite clays for Escherichia coli K_(88) in vitro显示文摘The adsorption properties of Cu 2+ -loaded montmorillonite clays (MMT-Cu) for Escherichia coli K 88 as a function of time,bacteria concentrations,pH,ionic strength and temperature were investigated.The results showed that the bacteria adsorption onto MMT-Cu surface reached equilibrium after 90 min.The percentages of E.coli K 88 adsorbed onto the surfaces of MMT-Cu and montmorillonite clays (MMT) at equilibrium were 88.9% and 56.5%,respectively.Scanning electron microscopy revealed that a lot of E.coli K 88 adhered to the surface of MMT-Cu.The zeta potential of MMT-Cu was relatively high as compared to that of MMT.The adsorptive ability of MMT-Cu for E.coli K 88 was higher than that of MMT (P < 0.05).Moreover,pH,ionic strength and temperature produced a strong influence on the extent of E.coli K 88 adsorption to surface of MMT-Cu and MMT.The mechanism of adsorption of E.coli onto MMT-Cu may involve electrostatic attraction and physiochemical properties of bacterial cell walls and minerals surfaces. | Tong Guo Shoujun Cao Rui Su Zhiqiang Li Ping Hu Zirong Xu | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11: | 7 |

| 3 | Nonvolatile reconfigurable dynamic Janus metasurfaces in the terahertz regime显示文摘Metasurfaces,especially tunable ones,have played a major role in controlling the amplitude,phase,and polarization of electromagnetic waves and attracted growing interest,with a view toward a new generation of miniaturized devices.However,to date,most existing reconfigurable devices are bounded in volatile nature with sustained external energy to maintain and single functionality,which restrict their further applications.Here,we demonstrate for the first time,to our knowledge,nonvolatile,reconfigurable,and dynamic Janus metasurfaces by incorporating phase-change material Ge_(2)Se_(2)Te_(5)(GST)in the terahertz(THz)regime.First,we experimentally show the reversible switching characteristic of GST on large areas by applying a single nanosecond laser pulse,which exhibits excellent contrast of THz properties in both states.Then,we present a multiplex metasurface scheme.In each metasurface,three sets of structures are adopted,in which two sets integrate GST.The effective structures can be reversely modulated by the amorphization and crystallization of GST.As a proof of concept,the dynamic beam splitter,bifocal metalens,dual-mode focusing optical vortex generators,and switchable metalens/focusing optical vortex generators are designed,fabricated,and experimentally characterized,and can be switched reversibly and repeatedly with the help of optical and thermal stimuli.Our scheme will pave the way toward the development of multifunctional and compact THz devices and may find use for applications in THz imaging,sensing,and communications. | SHOUJUN ZHANG XIEYU CHEN KUAN LIU HAIYANG LI YUEHONG XU XIAOHAN JIANG YIHAN XU QINGWEI WANG TUN CAO ZHEN TIAN | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,7: | 2 |

| 15 | Time effects of rice straw and engineered bacteria on reduction of exogenous Cu mobility in three typical Chinese soils显示文摘Globally,copper(Cu)accumulation in soils is a major environmental concern.Agricultural organic waste and some bacterial species can readily absorb metals in an eco-friendly manner,and thus are commonly used in metal-contaminated soil remediation.This study investigates the change in Cu fractions during the aging process and the time effects of rice straw(RS)and engineered bacteria(EB)(Pseudomonas putida X4/pIME)on reduction of Cu mobility.Three typical Chinese soils(red,cinnamon,and black soils)were incubated with RS or RS+EB in the presence of exogenous Cu for 24 months.The soil physicochemical properties,reactive soil components,Cu fractions,and Cu mobility were determined over time.The Cu mobility factor(MF)values were the lowest in the black soil(6.4-9.2)because of its high organic carbon and clay contents.The additions of both RS and RS+EB accelerated Cu stabilization during the aging process in all three soils.The Cu MF values decreased with time during the initial 20 months;however,the MF values increased thereafter in all soils,which might be due to the reduction of humic substances and amorphous iron oxides and the increase in iron oxides complexed on the organic matter.The reduction rates of Cu MF were similar after 16,24,and more than 24 months in the red,cinnamon,and black soils,respectively,indicating that RS and RS+EB could limit Cu mobility at different times in various soils.The RS treatment showed the greatest efficiency in reducing Cu mobility in the red,cinnamon,and black soils after 12,12,and 8 months of incubation,respectively.The RS+EB treatment was more efficient than the RS treatment in the red soil during the initial 8 months of the incubation period.Our study provides theoretical support for Cu risk assessments and RS supplementation for Cu remediation in different soils. | Hanzhi SHI Dian WEN Yongdong HUANG Shoujun XU Tenghaobo DENG Furong LI Zhichao WU Xu WANG Peihua ZHAO Fuhua WANG Ruiying DU | 2022 | Pedosphere2022,32,5: | 0 |
| 16 | Nonvolatile chirality switching in terahertz chalcogenide metasurfaces显示文摘Actively controlling the polarization states of terahertz(THz)waves is essential for polarization-sensitive spectroscopy,which has various applications in anisotropy imaging,noncontact Hall measurement,and vibrational circular dichroism.In the THz regime,the lack of a polarization modulator hinders the development of this spectroscopy.We theoretically and experimentally demonstrate that conjugated bilayer chiral metamaterials(CMMs)integrated with Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Te_(5)(GST225)active components can achieve nonvolatile and continuously tunable optical activity in the THz region.A THz time-domain spectroscopic system was used to characterize the device,showing a tunable ellipticity(from‒36°to 0°)and rotation of the plane polarization(from 32°to 0°)at approximately 0.73 THz by varying the GST225 state from amorphous(AM)to crystalline(CR).Moreover,a continuously tunable chiroptical response was experimentally observed by partially crystallizing the GST225,which can create intermediate states,having regions of both AM and CR states.Note that the GST225 has an advantage of nonvolatility over the other active elements and does not require any energy to retain its structural state.Our work allows the development of THz metadevices capable of actively manipulating the polarization of THz waves and may find applications for dynamically tunable THz circular polarizers and polarization modulators for THz emissions. | Jiaxin Bao Xieyu Chen Kuan Liu Yu Zhan Haiyang Li Shoujun Zhang Yihan Xu Zhen Tian Tun Cao | 2022 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,5: | 0 |
| 17 | Heteroatomic Modification of Solid-Waste-Based Mesoporous Carbon for Volatile Organic Compound Adsorption显示文摘Solid-waste-based activated carbon(AC)was utilized as a carbon source to synthesize a series of carbon-based functional material RAC-X(X=P and S,where P and S denote phosphoric and sulfuric acids,respectively).The toluene adsorption capacities of the regeneration AC(RAC)samples can be significantly improved by adopting the heteroatomic modification strategy.RAC-P and RAC-S have the same specific surface area(1156 m^(2)/g)and similar porous structures.However,they have different toluene adsorption capacities,with 316.22 mg/g for RAC-P and 460.12 mg/g for RAC-S,which are 1.6 and 2.4 times greater than that for RAC.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements showed that the increase in the amount ofπ–π^(2)chemical bond over the AC surface results in the improvement of the toluene adsorption performance.The density functional theory results showed that the S-containing functional groups loaded near the defect sites of RAC-S promote toluene adsorption.Moreover,reusability tests showed that RAC-S still retains 86%of its adsorption activity after four consecutive adsorption–desorption experiments.This indicates that the heteroatomic modification method affords excellent toluene adsorption performance and recycling practicability,which not only is beneficial for achieving the rational utilization of solid waste resources but also provides a practical method for the efficient elimination of volatile organic compounds. | Liu Jun Li Zhi Xu Ke Zhang Xinyang Li Yunpeng Wang Ya Zhang Yongfa Yang Song Liu Shoujun Li Junhua | 2023 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2023,25,1: | 0 |
