2Froth flotation of refuse coal fines and process optimization using 2D surface plots显示文摘Refuse coal fines of size <500 μm was collected from a metallurgical coal preparation plant located in the eastern coalfield region of India. The coal was beneficiated using froth flotation technique to recover clean coal with ash content of about 20% with the highest possible yield. Diesel oil as collector and pine oil as frother were used. Box-Behnken statistical design was followed for analyzing the performance at varying pulp density, collector and frother dosage. Results were discussed using 2D surface plots. Response function predictions determined by the regression analysis show coefficient of correlation(R^2) for yield and the ash content as 0.72 and 0.86, respectively. The highest yield of 45.79% is obtained at pulp density 10%, collector dose 2 kg/t and frother dose 1.5 kg/t. 3Association of endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene T-786C promoter polymorphism with gastric cancer显示文摘AIM: To investigate the role of endothelial nitric oxide synthase-786 T > C promoter polymorphism in the etiology of gastric cancer(GC). METHODS: A total of 150 GC patients and 150 control subjects were included in the study. The information on demographic features was elicited with an informed consent from all the patients and control subjects using a structured questionnaire. Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infectivity status was tested in antral biopsies from all the subjects by rapid urease test following the method of Vaira et al. Genomic DNA was isolated from whole blood samples following the salting out method of Lahiri et al. Genotype analysis of the rs2070744 polymorphism was carried out by allele-specific polymerase chain reaction method. The genotypes were determined based on the appearance of bands on an agarose gel stained with ethidium bromide under ultraviolet gel documentation with the help of 100 bp ladder. Odds ratios and corresponding 95%CIs were determined using java stat online software. RESULTS: There was a significant difference in the distribution of C allele(C vs T; P = 0.000, OR = 5.038) in patient group compared to the control subjects exhibiting a fivefold increased risk for GC. When the T/T and C/C genotypes were compared, there was an enhanced GC risk for individuals with C/C genotype(T/T vs C/C; P = 0.000). Among the demographic factors, smoking and alcoholism were the common risk factors in patients compared to the control subjects(P < 0.05). Patients with smoking and alcoholism developed cancer even in heterozygous T/C condition(smoking: P = 0.020 and alcoholism: P = 0.005). Individuals with H. pylori infection showed seven fold increased risk for cancer. All the patients with C/C genotype revealed a significant association between H. pylori infection and GC. Among the patients 2.4% of them revealed familial incidence of GC. 11Performance analysis of jig for coal cleaning using 3D response surface methodology显示文摘Beneficiation of coal of -4.76 mm + 3 mm size fraction was investigated in a laboratory model Denver jig.Process variables were studied to analyze their effect on the performance of jig in terms of yield and ash content of clean coal. Three-factor three-level Box-Behnken design of experiments with response surface methodology(RSM) was employed to understand the performance behavior of jig. From the study, the bed height was found to be the most significant parameter affecting the yield and ash content of clean coal. It was possible to reduce the ash content from 24.32% in feed to an ash content of 16.55% in clean coal at 2 L/min water flow rate and 10 min jigging time. Influence of operating variables of the jig on responses was presented and discussed in 3D surface plots. 13Optimal finite-dimensional spectral densities for the identification of continuous-time MIMO systems显示文摘This paper presents a method for designing in puts to identify linear con tinuous-time multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. The goal here is to design a T-optimal band-limited spectrum satisfying certain input/output power constraints. The input power spectral density matrix is parametrized as the productφu(jω)= 1/2H(jω)H^H(jω),where H(jω) is a matrix polynomial. This parametrization transforms the T-optimal cost function and the constraints into a quadratically constrained quadratic program (QCQP). The QCQP turns out to be a non-convex semidefinite program with a rank one constraint. A convex relaxation of the problem is first solved. A rank one solution is constructed from the solution to the relaxed problem. This relaxation admits no gap between its solution and the original non-convex QCQP problem. The constructed rank one solution leads to a spectrum that is optimal. The proposed input design methodology is experimentally validated on a cantilever beam bonded with piezoelectric plates for sensing and actuation. 19Metaheuristics with Vector Quantization Enabled Codebook Compression Model for Secure Industrial Embedded Environment显示文摘At the present time,the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)has swiftly evolved and emerged,and picture data that is collected by terminal devices or IoT nodes are tied to the user's private data.The use of image sensors as an automa-tion tool for the IIoT is increasingly becoming more common.Due to the fact that this organisation transfers an enormous number of photographs at any one time,one of the most significant issues that it has is reducing the total quantity of data that is sent and,as a result,the available bandwidth,without compromising the image quality.Image compression in the sensor,on the other hand,expedites the transfer of data while simultaneously reducing bandwidth use.The traditional method of protecting sensitive data is rendered less effective in an environment dominated by IoT owing to the involvement of third parties.The image encryp-tion model provides a safe and adaptable method to protect the confidentiality of picture transformation and storage inside an IIoT system.This helps to ensure that image datasets are kept safe.The Linde–Buzo–Gray(LBG)methodology is an example of a vector quantization algorithm that is extensively used and a rela-tively new form of picture reduction known as vector quantization(VQ).As a result,the purpose of this research is to create an artificial humming bird optimi-zation approach that combines LBG-enabled codebook creation and encryption(AHBO-LBGCCE)for use in an IIoT setting.In the beginning,the AHBO-LBGCCE method used the LBG model in conjunction with the AHBO algorithm in order to construct the VQ.The Burrows-Wheeler Transform(BWT)model is used in order to accomplish codebook compression.In addition,the Blowfish algorithm is used in order to carry out the encryption procedure so that security may be attained.A comprehensive experimental investigation is carried out in order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in comparison to other algorithms.The experimental values ensure that the suggested approach and the outcomes are examined in a variety of different perspectives in order to further enhance them.Adepu Shravan Kumar S.Srinivasan 2023Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing2023,,6:0
20Vibration Control of Vertical Turbine Pump by Optimization of Vane Pitch Tolerances of an Impeller Using Statistical Techniques显示文摘The objective of the study is to find the tolerance on vane pitch dimensions of a Vertical Turbine(VT)pump impeller.For this purpose,the study is divided into two parts viz.to find the critical hydraulic eccentricity of a VT pump impeller by way of numerical simulations and design of experiments to find the vane pitch tolerance using critical hydraulic eccentricity.The effect of impeller vane pitch deviations on hydraulic unbalance is examined for a vertical turbine pump using Design of Experiments(DOE).A suitable orthogonal matrix has been selected with vane pitch at different axial locations of an impeller as the control factors.Hydraulic eccentricity,which is the output of the DOE experiments is analyzed using S/N ratio,ANOM and regression analysis to find the significant control factor effecting the hydraulic unbalance and hence vibrations.The vane pitch deviation at outlet and inlet of impeller shroud geometry are found to be the most critical factor affecting the pump vibrations.Ravindra Birajdar Appasaheb Keste Shravan Gawande 2021Sound & Vibration2021,55,4:0
