1Quantitative computed tomography analysis for stratifying the severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019显示文摘To examine the feasibility of using a computer tool for stratifying the severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)based on computed tomography(CT)images.We retrospectively examined 44 confirmed COVID-19 cases.All cases were evaluated separately by radiologists(visually)and through an in-house computer software.The degree of lesions was visually scored by the radiologist,as follows,for each of the 5 lung lobes:0,no lesion present;1,<1/3 involvement;2,>1/3 and<2/3 involvement;and 3,>2/3 involvement.Lesion density was assessed based on the proportion of ground-glass opacity(GGO),consolidation and fibrosis of the lesions.The parameters obtained using the computer tool included lung volume(mL),lesion volume(mL),lesion percentage(%),and mean lesion density(HU)of the whole lung,right lung,left lung,and each lobe.The scores obtained by the radiologists and quantitative results generated by the computer software were tested for correlation.A Chi-square test was used to test the consistency of radiologist-and computer-derived lesion percentage in the right/left lung,upper/lower lobe,and each of the 5 lobes.The results showed a strong to moderate correlation between lesion percentage scores obtained by radiologists and the computer software(r ranged from 0.7679 to 0.8373,P<0.05),and a moderate correlation between the proportion of GGO and mean lesion density(r=-0.5894,P<0.05),and proportion of consolidation and mean lesion density(r=0.6282,P<0.05).Computer-aided quantification showed a statistical significant higher lesion percentage for lower lobes than that assessed by the radiologists(x^2=8.160,P=0.004).Our experiments demonstrated that the computer tool could reliably and accurately assess the severity and distribution of pneumonia on CT scans.Cong Shen Nan Yu Shubo Cai Jie Zhou Jiexin Sheng Kang Liu Heping Zhou Youmin Guo Gang Niu 2020Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,2:13
2Rapid removal of bisphenol A on highly ordered mesoporous carbon显示文摘Bisphenol A (BPA) is of global concern due to its disruption of endocrine systems and ubiquity in the aquatic environment.It is important,therefore,that efforts are made to remove it from the aqueous phase.A novel adsorbent,mesoporous carbon CMK-3,prepared from hexagonal SBA-15 mesoporous silica was studied for BPA removal from aqueous phase,and compared with conventional powdered activated carbon (PAC).Characterization of CMK-3 by transmission electron microscopy (TEM),X-ray diffraction,and nitrogen adsorption indicated that prepared CMK-3 had an ordered mesoporous structure with a high specific surface area of 920 m 2 /g and a pore-size of about 4.9 nm.The adsorption of BPA on CMK-3 followed a pseudo second-order kinetic model.The kinetic constant was 0.00049 g/(mg·min),much higher than the adsorption of BPA on PAC.The adsorption isotherm fitted slightly better with the Freundlich model than the Langmuir model,and adsorption capacity decreased as temperature increased from 10 to 40°C.No significant influence of pH on adsorption was observed at pH 3 to 9;however,adsorption capacity decreased dramatically from pH 9 to 13.Qian Sui Jun Huang Yousong Liu Xiaofeng Chang Guangbin Ji Shubo Deng Tao Xie Gang Yu 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2:8
3Effect of microstructure evolution on mechanical property of extruded Mg-12Gd-2Er-1Zn-0.6Zr alloys显示文摘The microstructure evolution of as-cast,as-extruded and peak-aged Mg-12Gd-2Er-1Zn-0.6Zr alloys were investigated by Optical Microscope(OM),X-ray Diffraction(XRD),Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM)and Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM).The mechanical performance was also tested by tensile test at room temperature in the present study.The results indicated that the lamellar 14H-LPSO structure formed during the solid solution process at 793 K for 24 h,and also existed after hot extrusion process.The dynamic recrystallization(DRX)occurred during hot extrusion.The DRXed fine grain size was∼5μm.Meanwhile,some un-DRXed grains contained LPSO structure had a roughly orientation along the extrusion direction.The tensile test result showed that the as-extruded alloy had a better elongation of 14%due to fine DRXed grain and fiber-like un-DRXed with LPSO structure attributed to the high elongation.Because of the precipitation of theβ′-phase,the ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and yield tensile strength(YTS)increased up to 415 MPa(UTS)and 374 MPa(YTS),respectively.Kai Wen Ke Liu Zhaohui Wang Shubo Li Wenbo Du 2015Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2015,3,1:7

5Evolutionary ciphers against differential power analysis and differential fault analysis显示文摘Side channel analysis(SCA) focuses on attacking cryptographic algorithm implementations by collecting leaked information and analyzing the correlation between the leaked and key information in the cryptographic system.Currently,SCA is the main threat to cryptographic implementations,with DPA(differential power analysis) and DFA(differential fault analysis) being two of the most threatening types of SCA.However,the existing countermeasures against DPA and DFA have shortcomings and can hardly protect cipher designs perfectly.Based on a comprehensive analysis of DPA and DFA,this paper proposes a new idea of using an evolutionary cipher(EVOC) against DPAs based on the model proposed by Kocher,and several different new types of DFAs.In fact,an EVOC is a kind of dynamic cipher designing method.Moreover,combined with intelligent searching algorithms and cryptography design policies,EVOCs utilize the dynamic and unpredictable properties of TRNG(a truly random number generator) to ensure cipher design at a high level of security.Therefore,with an EVOC we could design cryptography algorithms with high security to resist mathematical analysis as well as DPAs and DFAs.This paper analyzes and proves the security,efficiency,cost,and original features of EVOCs against DPA and DFA both theoretically and experimentally.Compared with existing countermeasures against SCAs,EVOCs use dynamic non-linear operations to destroy the bases of DPA and DFA.At the algorithm level,EVOCs are more efficient than other resistance methods.Based on the theory and experiments,this paper proposes certain modifications to the EVOC in the AES(advanced encryption standard) algorithm,which can be referenced by other dynamic designs of cryptographic algorithms.TANG Ming QIU ZhenLong YANG Min CHENG PingPan GAO Si LIU ShuBo MENG QinShu 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,11:5
6Release Connection Fingerprints in Social Networks Using Personalized Differential Privacy显示文摘In social networks, different users may have different privacy preferences and there are many users with public identities. Most work on differentially private social network data publication neglects this fact. We aim to release the number of public users that a private user connects to within n hops, called n-range Connection fingerprints(CFPs), under user-level personalized privacy preferences. We proposed two schemes, Distance-based exponential budget absorption(DEBA) and Distancebased uniformly budget absorption using Ladder function(DUBA-LF), for privacy-preserving publication of the CFPs based on Personalized differential privacy(PDP),and we conducted a theoretical analysis of the privacy guarantees provided within the proposed schemes. 7Differentially Private Spatial Decompositions for Geospatial Point Data显示文摘Technological advancements in data analysis and data releasing have put forward higher security requirements, such as privacy guarantee and strictly provable security, this new area of research is called differential privacy. As for geospatial point data, the exiting methods use the tree structure to split the data space to enhance the data utility and usually adopt uniform budgeting method. Different from this, we propose a novel non-uniform allocation scheme for privacy budget which is a parameter to specify the degree of privacy guarantee. Firstly, the spatial data is indexed by quadtree, then, different privacy budget is allocated to each layer of quadtree using Fibonacci series features, and we designate this budgeting method as Fibonacci allocation. Experimental results show that Fibonacci allocation is significantly more accurate in data queries than the state-of-the-art methods under the same privacy guarantee level and fits for arbitrary range queries. 8Privacy-preserving Distributed Location Proof Generating System显示文摘The rapid development of location-based service(LBS) drives one special kind of LBS, in which the service provider verifies user location before providing services. In distributed location proof generating schemes, preventing users from colluding with each other to create fake location proofs and protecting user's location privacy at the same time, are the main technical challenges to bring this kind of LBS into practical. Existing solutions tackle these challenges with low collusion-detecting efficiency and defected collusion-detecting method. We proposed two novel location proof generating schemes, which inversely utilized a secure secret-sharing scheme and a pseudonym scheme to settle these shortcomings. Our proposed solution resists and detects user collusion attacks in a more efficient and correct way. Meanwhile, we achieve a higher level of location privacy than that of previous work. 9Activation of transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase DDR1-STAT3 cascade by extracellular matrix remodeling promotes liver metastatic colonization in uveal melanoma显示文摘Colonization is believed a rate-limiting step of metastasis cascade.However,its underlying mechanism is not well understood.Uveal melanoma(UM),which is featured with single organ liver metastasis,may provide a simplified model for realizing the complicated colonization process.Because DDR1 was identified to be overexpressed in UM cell lines and specimens,and abundant pathological deposition of extracellular matrix collagen,a type of DDR1 ligand,was noted in the microenvironment of liver in metastatic patients with UM,we postulated the hypothesis that DDR1 and its ligand might ignite the interaction between UM cells and their surrounding niche of liver thereby conferring strengthened survival,proliferation,sternness and eventually promoting metastatic colonization in liver.We tested this hypothesis and found that DDR1 promoted these malignant cellular phenotypes and facilitated metastatic colonization of UM in liver.Mechanistically,UM cells secreted TGF-β1 which induced quiescent hepatic stellate cells(qHSCs)into activated HSCs(aHSCs)which secreted collagen type I.Such a remodeling of extracellular matrix,in turn,activated DDR1,strengthening survival through upregulating STAT3-dependent Mcl-1 expression,enhancing sternness via upregulating STAT3-dependent S0X2,and promoting clonogenicity in cancer cells.Targeting DDR1 by using 7rh,a specific inhibitor,repressed proliferation and survival in vitro and in vivo outgrowth.More importantly,targeting cancer cells by pharmacological inactivation of DDR1 or targeting microenvironmental TGF-β1-collagen I loop exhibited a prominent anti-metastasis effect in mice.In conclusion,targeting DDR1 signaling and TGF-β1 signaling may be a novel approach to diminish hepatic metastasis in UM.Wei Dai Shenglan Liu Shubo Wang Li Zhao Xiao Yang Jingfeng Zhou Yun Wang Jing Zhang Ping Zhang Ke Ding Yangqiu Li Jingxuan Pan 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6:3

11Quantifying 3D cell-matrix interactions during mitosis and the effect of anticancer drugs on the interactions显示文摘The mechanical force between cells and the extracellular microenvironment is crucial to many physiological processes such as cancer metastasis and stem cell differentiation. Mitosis plays an essential role in all these processes and thus an in-depth understanding of forces during mitosis gains insight into disease diagnosis and disease treatment. Here, we develop a traction force microscope method based on monolayer fluorescent beads for measuring the weak traction force (tens of Pa) of mitotic cells in three dimensions. We quantify traction forces of human ovarian granulosa (KGN) cells exerted on the extracellular matrix throughout the entire cell cycle in three dimensions. Our measurements reveal how forces vary during the cell cycle, especially during cell division. Furthermore, we study the effect of paclitaxel (PTX) and nocodazole (NDZ) on mitotic KGN cells through the measurement of traction forces. Our results show that mitotic cells with high concentrations of PTX exert a larger force than those with high concentrations of NDZ, which proved to be caused by changes in the structure and number of microtubules. These findings reveal the key functions of microtubule in generating traction forces during cell mitosis and explain how dividing cells regulate themselves in response to anti-mitosis drugs. 14High performance perovskite solar cells using TiO2 nanospindles as ultrathin mesoporous layer显示文摘Single crystal anatase TiO_2 nanospindles(NSs) with highly exposed {101} facets were synthesized and employed as electron transport materials(ETMs) in perovskite solar cells(PSCs). Time-resolved photoluminescence(TRPL) spectra revealed that the TiO_2 NSs are more effective than TiO_2 nanoparticles in accepting electrons from perovskite. Moreover, the TiO_2 nanospindles further endowed the PSCs with good reproducibility and suppressed hysteresis. 15Single-atom Sn-Zn pairs in CuO catalyst promote dimethyldichlorosilane synthesis显示文摘Single-atom catalysts are of great interest because they can maximize the atom-utilization efficiency and generate unique catalytic properties;however,much attention has been paid to single-site active components,rarely to catalyst promoters.Promoters can significantly affect the activity and selectivity of a catalyst,even at their low concentrations in catalysts.In this work,we designed and synthesized CuO catalysts with atomically dispersed co-promoters of Sn and Zn.When used as the catalyst in the Rochow reaction for the synthesis of dimethyldichlorosilane,this catalyst exhibited much-enhanced activity,selectivity and stability compared with the conventional CuO catalysts with promoters in the form of nanoparticles.Density functional theory calculations demonstrate that single-atomic Sn substitution in the CuO surface can enrich surface Cu vacancies and promote dispersion of Zn to its atomic levels.Sn and Zn single sites as the co-promoters cooperatively generate electronic interaction with the CuO support,which further facilitates the adsorption of the reactant molecules on the surface,thereby leading to the superior catalytic performance.Qi Shi Yongjun Ji Wenxin Chen Yongxia Zhu Jing Li Hezhi Liu Zhi Li Shubo Tian Ligen Wang Ziyi Zhong Limin Wang Jianmin Ma Yadong Li Fabing Su 2020National Science Review2020,7,3:2
16Reverse Engineering Analysis Based on Differential Fault Analysis Against Secret S- boxes显示文摘To evaluate the security of cipher algorithms with secret operations, we built a new reverse engineering analysis based on Differential Fault Analysis (DFA) to recover the secret S-boxes in Secret Private Network (SPN) and Feistel structures, which are two of the most typical structures in block ciphers. This paper gives the general definitions of these two structures and proposes the reverse engineering analysis of each structure. Furthermore, we evaluate the complexity of the proposed reverse analyses and theoretically prove the effectiveness of the reverse method. For the Twofish-like and AES-like algorithms, the experimental results verify the correctness and efficiency of the reverse analysis. The proposed reverse analysis can efficiently recover the secret S-boxes in the encryption algorithms with SPN and Feistel structures.
