1The temporal-spatial distribution and changes of dissolved oxygen in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters for the last 50 a显示文摘The Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters form one of the most important estuarine and coastal areas in China. Multi source and long-term data are assembled to examine the temporal-spatial distribution features of dissolved oxygen(DO) in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters for the past 50 a. The results show that the DO concentration in the surface of different seasons generally stays stable, while the DO concentration in winter displays a slight increase for the last 50 a. The DO average concentration in winter and spring varies from 7to 11 mg/L, and in summer and autumn from 6 to 8 mg/L. Hypoxic values first appear in May, and low DO value plume can be observed on the bottom in spring along coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian Provinces, China. In summer, the plume advances northward, and the hypoxic intensity of northern transects is much higher than southern transects. Until autumn, hypoxia areas fade away little by little, and completely disappear in winter.Within last 50 a, hypoxia in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters starts to appear in the 1980 s. Since2000, the degree of hypoxia has increased seriously and the distribution depth has become smaller. 2Elemental Content in Brown Rice by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy Reveals the Evolution of Asian Cultivated Rice显示文摘The phylogenetic relationship for classification traits and eight mineral elements in brown rice(Oryza sativa L.) from Yunnan Province in China was carried out using microwave assisted digestion followed by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy,and the analytical procedures were carefully controlled and validated.In general,the results show that the mean levels of K,Ca,Mg,Fe and Cu in brown rice for 789 accessions of rice landraces was distinctly lower than that of improved cultivars.They further demonstrate that Ca plays an important role in the differentiation of subspecies indica-japonica,especially to enhance adaptation of cold stress,and that five mineral elements in brown rice enhance the eurytopicity from landrace to improved cultivar.Hierarchical cluster analysis,using average linkage from SPSS software based on eight mineral elements in brown rice,showed that Yunnan rice could be grouped into rice landrace and improved cultivar,with the rice landrace being further clustered into five subgroups,and that,interestingly,purple rice does not cluster with either of the groups.Our present data confirm that indica is the closest relative of late rice and white rice,and that they constitute rice landraces together,whereas japonica is the closest relatives of non-nuda,early-mid and glutinous rice.It is further shown that japonica,non-nuda,early-mid,glutinous,white and red rice might be more primitive than indica,nuda,late,non-glutinous and purple rice,respectively.Yawen Zeng Luxiang Wang Juan Du Jiafu Liu Shuming Yang Xiaoying Pu Fenghui Xiao 2009Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2009,51,5:4

4Selection and identification of a novel ssDNA aptamer targeting human skeletal muscle显示文摘Skeletal muscle disorders have posed great threats to health.Selective delivery of drugs and oligonucleotides to skeletal muscle is challenging.Aptamers can improve targeting efficacy.In this study,for the first time,the human skeletal muscle-specific ssDNA aptamers(HSM01,etc.)were selected and identified with Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment(SELEX).The HSM01 ssDNA aptamer preferentially interacted with human skeletal muscle cells in vitro.The in vivo study using tree shrews showed that the HSM01 ssDNA aptamer specifically targeted human skeletal muscle cells.Furthermore,the ability of HSM01 ssDNA aptamer to target skeletal muscle cells was not affected by the formation of a disulfide bond with nanoliposomes in vitro or in vivo,suggesting a potential new approach for targeted drug delivery to skeletal muscles via liposomes.Therefore,this newly identified ssDNA aptamer and nanoliposome modification could be used for the treatment of human skeletal muscle diseases.Shuming Sun Han Liu Yan Hu Yanpeng Wang Mingri Zhao Yijun Yuan Yafei Han Yingying Jing Jin Cui Xiaoxiang Ren Xiao Chen Jiacan Su 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,2:3
5A Novel Routing Strategy to Provide Source Location Privacy in Wireless Sensor Networks显示文摘In order to secure the source location privacy when information is sent back to the base station in wireless sensor network, we propose a novel routing strategy which routes the packets to the base station through three stages: directional random routing, h-hop routing in the annular region and the shortest path routing. These stages provide two fold protections to prevent the source location from being tracked down by the adversary. 6Compositional dependence of hydrogenation performance of Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb high-entropy alloys for hydrogen/tritium storage显示文摘A series of Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb high-entropy alloys with different Mo concentrations were developed as candidate materials for hydrogen/tritium storage in solid phase.The crystal structures and hydrogenation properties of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry techniques.All the alloys have a body-centred cubic single phase structure.The results demonstrate that the cell volume of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb hydride decreases with increasing Mo concentration,which reduces their thermal stability.The theoretical calculation proposes that the lower binding energy of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb hydride decreases the thermal stability of Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys with higher Mo content.The great hydrogenation performance for all the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys is owing to their reversible single-phase transformation during the hydrogen absorption-desorption cycle,which would be bene ficial to improving the hydrogen recycling rate and preventing the disproportionation.The compositional dependence of the hydrogenation performance of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys was established and will be useful in designing novel hydrogen/tritium storage materials to satisfy the requirements of diffe rent application fields in hydrogen,solar thermal and nuclear energy.Huahai Shen Jutao Hu Pengcheng Li Gang Huang Jianwei Zhang Jinchao Zhang Yiwu Mao Haiyan Xiao Xiaosong Zhou Xiaotao Zu Xinggui Long Shuming Peng 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,20:2
7Human mobility data in the COVID-19 pandemic:characteristics,applications,and challenges显示文摘The COVID-19 pandemic poses unprecedented challenges around the world.Many studies have applied mobility data to explore spatiotemporal trends over time,investigate associations with other variables,and predict or simulate the spread of COVID-19.Our objective was to provide a comprehensive overview of human mobility open data to guide researchers and policymakers in conducting data-driven evaluations and decision-making for the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious disease outbreaks.We summarized the mobility data usage in COVID-19 studies by reviewing recent publications on COVID-19 and human mobility from a data-oriented perspective.We identified three major sources of mobility data:public transit systems,mobile operators,and mobile phone applications.Four approaches have been commonly used to estimate human mobility:public transit-based flow,social activity patterns,index-based mobility data,and social media-derived mobility data.We compared mobility datasets’characteristics by assessing data privacy,quality,space–time coverage,high-performance data storage and processing,and accessibility.We also present challenges and future directions of using mobility data.This review makes a pivotal contribution to understanding the use of and access to human mobility data in the COVID-19 pandemic and future disease outbreaks.Tao Hu Siqin Wang Bing She Mengxi Zhang Xiao Huang Yunhe Cui Jacob Khuri Yaxin Hu Xiaokang Fu Xiaoyue Wang Peixiao Wang Xinyan Zhu Shuming Bao Wendy Guan Zhenlong Li 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,9:1
8Design of process parameters for direct squeeze casting显示文摘On the basis of the analysis of solidification interval and temperature distribution of components manufactured by the squeeze casting method,formulas for calculating the solidification interval and compaction pressure were deduced according to the principal request that the compaction pressure should be equal to or greater than the plastic deformation resistance of the forming component when solidification ended.The solidification interval was proven to be associated with many factors,such as weight of the component,specific heat of the alloy,latent heat,pouring temperature,component temperature at the end of solidification and heat-transfer coefficients.The compaction pressure was related to the strain rate,deformation temperature,and dimension of the de- forming component.The solidification interval and compaction pressure calculated by the formulas deduced in this article were adopted in the production of 45 steel bidirectional chapiter valves,and components with excellent performance were manufactured.Milan Zhang Shuming Xing Liming Xiao Peiwei Bao Wen Liu Qiao Xin 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,3:1

11Energy Dissipation and Apparent Viscosity of Semi-solid Metal during Rheological Processes PartⅠ: Energy Dissipation显示文摘The energy dissipation caused by the viscous force has great effects on the flow property of semi-solid metal during rheological processes such as slurry preparing, delivering and cavity filling. Experimental results in this paper indicate that the viscous friction between semi-solid metal and pipe wall, the collisions among the solid particles, and the liquid flow around particles are the three main types of energy dissipation. On the basis of the hydromechanics, the energy dissipation calculation model is built. 12A GIS-based analytical framework for evaluating the effect of COVID-19 on the restaurant industry with big data显示文摘COVID-19 cripples the restaurant industry as a crucial socioeconomic sector that contributes immensely to the global economy.However,what the current literature less explored is to quantify the effect of COVID-19 on restaurant visitation and revenue at different spatial scales,as well as its relationship with the neighborhood character-istics of customers’origins.Based on the Point of Interest(POI)measures derived from SafeGraph data providing mobility records of 45 million cell phone users in the US,our study takes Lower Manhattan,New York City,as the pilot study,and aims to examine 1)the change of restaurant visitations and revenue in the period prior to and after the COVID-19 outbreak,2)the areas where restaurant customers live,and 3)the association between the neighborhood characteristics of these areas and lost customers.By doing so,we provide a geographic information system-based analytical frame-work integrating the big data mining,web crawling techniques,and spatial-economic modelling.Our analytical framework can be implemented to estimate the broader effect of COVID-19 on other industries and can be augmented in a financially monitoring manner in response to future pandemics or public emergencies.Siqin Wang Ruomei Wang Xiao Huang Zhenlong Li Shuming Bao 2023Big Earth Data2023,7,1:1

16Effect of dissolved components of malachite and calcite on surface properties and flotation behavior显示文摘In general,malachite is recovered via sulfidization–xanthate flotation,although many unsatisfactory flotation indexes are frequently obtained as a result of the presence of associated calcite.This phenomenon occurs because the dissolved components of malachite and calcite affect the flotation behavior of both minerals.In this study,the effect of the dissolved components derived from malachite and calcite on the flotation behavior and surface characteristics of both minerals was investigated.Flotation tests indicated that malachite recovery decreased when the calcite supernatant was introduced,while the presence of the malachite supernatant increased the recovery of calcite.Dissolution and adsorption tests,along with zeta potential measurements,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectrometry,and timeof-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry demonstrated that the Ca species in the calcite supernatant were adsorbed on the malachite surface,which hindered the interaction of Na2S with malachite,thereby resulting in the insufficient adsorption of sodium isoamyl xanthate(NaIX)on the surface of malachite.By contrast,the Cu species in the malachite supernatant were adsorbed on the calcite surface,and they provided active sites for the subsequent adsorption of Na_(2)S and NaIX.Zhihao Shen Shuming Wen Han Wang Yongchao Miao Xiao Wang Shengbing Meng Qicheng Feng 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,7:0
17Competition of surface reactions of tritium release from irradiated Li_4SiO_4 pebbles显示文摘Out-of-pile tritium release experiments were performed on Li4 Si O4 pebbles produced from lithium hydroxide under various compositions of sweep gas(He, 1.1% H2/He) and environmental moisture conditions. The experimental results indicate that tritium gas can be released directly from 'dry' Li4 Si O4 under pure He gas. This phenomenon did not happen on 'wet' samples, which means that the chemical form of released tritium is sensitive to moisture. Adding H2 to sweep gas may increase the overall desorption rate of tritium gas through H2 isotope exchange reaction, which occurs at a lower temperature than those of directly released tritium gas. Yet, the threshold of the H2 isotope exchange reaction is higher than the desorption reaction of tritiated water.
