| 2 | Kinetic hydrate inhibitor performance of new copolymer poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone-co-2-vinyl pyridine)s with TBAB显示文摘In oil and gas field, the application of kinetic hydrate inhibitors (KHIs) independently has remained problematic in high subcooling and high water-cut situation. One feasible method to resolve this problem is the combined use of KHIs and some synergists, which would enhance KHIs’ inhibitory effect on both hydrate nucleation and hydrate crystal growth. In this study, a novel kind of KHI copolymer poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone-co-2-vinyl pyridine)s (HGs) is used in conjunction with TBAB to show its high performance on hydrate inhibition. The performance of HGs with different monomer ratios in structure II tetrahydrofuran (THF) hydrate is investigated using kinetic hydrate inhibitor evaluation apparatus by step-cooling method and isothermal cooling method. With the combined gas hydrate inhibitor at the concentration of 1.0 wt%, the induction time of 19 wt% THF solution could be prolonged to 8.5 h at a high subcooling of 6℃. | 3 | Brain-wide Mapping of Mono-synaptic Afferents to Different Cell Types in the Laterodorsal Tegmentum显示文摘The laterodorsal tegmentum(LDT) is a brain structure involved in distinct behaviors including arousal,reward, and innate fear. How environmental stimuli and top-down control from high-order sensory and limbic cortical areas converge and coordinate in this region to modulate diverse behavioral outputs remains unclear.Using a modified rabies virus, we applied monosynaptic retrograde tracing to the whole brain to examine the LDT cell type specific upstream nuclei. The LDT received very strong midbrain and hindbrain afferents and moderate cortical and hypothalamic innervation but weak connections to the thalamus. The main projection neurons from cortical areas were restricted to the limbic lobe, including the ventral orbital cortex(VO), prelimbic, and cingulate cortices. Although different cell populations received qualitatively similar inputs, primarily via afferents from the periaqueductal gray area, superior colliculus, and the LDT itself, parvalbumin-positive(PV?) GABAergic cells received preferential projections from local LDT neurons.With regard to the different subtypes of GABAergic cells, aconsiderable number of nuclei, including those of the ventral tegmental area, central amygdaloid nucleus, and VO, made significantly greater inputs to somatostatinpositive cells than to PV?cells. | 5 | Palmprint Phenotype Feature Extraction and Classification Based on Deep Learning显示文摘Palmprints are of long practical and cultural interest.Palmprint principal lines,also called primary palmar lines,are one of the most dominant palmprint features and do not change over the lifespan.The existing methods utilize filters and edge detection operators to get the principal lines from the palm region of interest(ROI),but can not distinguish the principal lines from fine wrinkles.This paper proposes a novel deep-learning architecture to extract palmprint principal lines,which could greatly reduce the influence of fine wrinkles,and classify palmprint phenotypes further from 2D palmprint images.This architecture includes three modules,ROI extraction module(REM)using pre-trained hand key point location model,principal line extraction module(PLEM)using deep edge detection model,and phenotype classifier(PC)based on ResNet34 network.Compared with the current ROI extraction method,our extraction is competitive with a success rate of 95.2%.For principal line extraction,the similarity score between our extracted lines and ground truth palmprint lines achieves 0.813.And the proposed architecture achieves a phenotype classification accuracy of 95.7%based on our self-built palmprint dataset CAS_Palm. | Fan Jinxi Li Shaoying Song Haiguo Zhang Sijia Wang Guangtao Zhai | 2022 | Phenomics2022,2,4: | 1 |

| 9 | Jieduquyuziyin Prescription Suppresses the Inflammatory Activity of Macrophages via NOTCH1/NF-κB Pathway显示文摘Background:Jieduquyuziyin prescription(JP)is a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula,which has been applied to the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)for decades,and its efficacy and safety have been confirmed in clinical practice.However,little is known about its molecular mechanism.Objective:To explore the effects of JP on macrophages’inflammatory activity and NOTCH1/NF-κB pathway.Methods:The JP-treated serum was prepared to determine its optimal concentration.Given the fact that active components in rats’serum might affect the results,control serum without JP components was prepared simul-taneously.Lipopolysaccharide(LPS)was used to activate RAW264.7,and the cells were interfered with DAPT(NOTCH1 blocker),control serum,and JP-treated serum,respectively.After the above intervention,the expres-sion of NOTCH1 and RBPJ,the nuclear translocation of NF-κB,and the extracellular release of IL6,TNF��,and NO,was evaluated by real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),western blotting(WB),enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and Griess method.Results:Both DAPT and JP-treated serum could significantly suppress the expression of NOTCH1 and RBPJ induced by LPS,as well as the nuclear translocation of NF-κB,leading to the decreased release of IL6,TNF��,and NO,while control serum had little effect on macrophage activity and NOTCH1/NF-κB pathway.Conclusion:These results demonstrated the effects of JP on macrophage activation and pro-inflammatory response and suggested that the molecular mechanism of JP might attribute to the inhibition of the NOTCH1/NF-κB path-way.Besides,previous studies suggested that paeoniflorin and ferulic acid are two major effective components in JP.In subsequent experiments,we would further explore the effects of these two components on MRL/lpr mice and macrophage activity. | Sijia Fang Lina Ji Shan Wu Xiaoxuan Yang Kepeng Yang Yongsheng Fan | 2022 | Clinical Complementary Medicine and Pharmacology2022,2,3: | 0 |

| 13 | Protective mechanism of Paeoniae Radix Alba against chemical liver injury based on network pharmacology,molecular docking,and in vitro experiments显示文摘Objective:To explore and validate the potential targets of Paeoniae Radix Alba(P.Radix,Bai Shao)in protecting against chemical liver injury through network pharmacology,molecular docking technology,and in vitro cell experiments.Methods:Network pharmacology was used to identify the common potential targets of P.Radix and chemical liver injury.Molecular docking was used to fit the components,which were subsequently verified in vitro.A cell model of hepatic fibrosis was established by activating hepatic stellate cell(HSC)-LX2 cells with 10 ng/mL transforming growth factor-β1.The cells were exposed to different concentrations of total glucosides of paeony(TGP),the active substance of P.Radix,and then evaluated using the cell counting kit-8 assay,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,and western blot.Results:Analysis through network pharmacology revealed 13 key compounds of P.Radix,and the potential targets for preventing chemical liver injury were IL-6,AKT serine/threonine kinase 1,jun protooncogene,heat shock protein 90 alpha family class A member 1(HSP90AA1),peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma(PPARG),PTGS2,and CASP3.Gene Ontology(GO)enrichment analysis indicated the involvement of response to drugs,membrane rafts,and peptide binding.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analysis revealed that the main pathways involved lipid and atherosclerosis and chemical carcinogenesis-receptor activation.Paeoniflorin and albiflorin exhibited strong affinity for HSP90AA1,PTGS2,PPARG,and CASP3.Different concentrations of TGP can inhibit the expression of COL-I,COL-III,IL-6,TNF-a,IL-1β,HSP-90a,and PTGS2 while increasing the expression of PPAR-γand CASP3 in activated HSC-LX2 cells.Conclusion:P.Radix primarily can regulate targets such as HSP90AA1,PTGS2,PPARG,CASP3.TGP,the main active compound of P.Radix,protects against chemical liver injury by reducing the inflammatory response,activating apoptotic proteins,and promoting the apoptosis of activated HSCs. | Shuangqiao Liu Xin Liu Sijia Jiang Min Fu Jinxi Hu Jiaqi Liu Xiaoxu Fan Yingtong Feng Shujing Zhang Jingxia Wang | 2024 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2024,11,1: | 0 |
