1Comparison of dust emissions, transport, and deposition between the Taklimakan Desert and Gobi Desert from 2007 to 2011显示文摘The Taklimakan Desert(TD) and Gobi Desert(GD) are two of the most important dust sources in East Asia, and have important impact on energy budgets, ecosystems and water cycles at regional and even global scales. To investigate the contribution of the TD and the GD to dust concentrations in East Asia as a whole, dust emissions, transport, and deposition over the TD and the GD in different seasons from 2007 to 2011 were systematically compared, based on the Weather Research and Forecasting model coupled with Chemistry(WRF-Chem). Dust emissions, uplift, and long-range transport related to these two dust source regions were markedly different due to differences in topography, elevation, thermal conditions, and atmospheric circulation. Specifically,the topography of the GD is relatively flat, and at a high elevation, and the area is under the influence of two jet streams at high altitudes, resulting in high wind speeds in the upper atmosphere. Deep convective mixing enables the descending branch of jet streams to continuously transport momentum downward to the mid-troposphere, leading to enhanced wind speeds in the lower troposphere over the GD which favors the vertical uplift of the GD dust particles. Therefore, the GD dust was very likely to be transported under the effect of strong westerly jets, and thus played the most important role in contributing to dust concentrations in East Asia. Approximately 35% and 31% of dust emitted from the GD transported to remote areas in East Asia in spring and summer, respectively. The TD has the highest dust emission capabilities in East Asia, with emissions of about 70.54 Tg yr.1 in spring, accounting for 42% of the total dust emissions in East Asia. However, the TD is located in the Tarim Basin and surrounded by mountains on three sides. Furthermore, the dominant surface wind direction is eastward and the average wind speed at high altitudes is relatively small over the TD. As a result, the TD dust particles are not easily transported outside the Tarim Basin, such that most of the dust particles are re-deposited after uplift, at a total deposition rate of about 40 g m.2. It is only when the TD dust particles are uplifted above 4 km, and entrained in westerlies that they begin to undergo a long-range transport. Therefore,the contribution of the TD dust to East Asian dust concentrations was relatively small. 3An Overview of Mineral Dust Modeling over East Asia显示文摘East Asian dust(EAD) exerts considerable impacts on the energy balance and climate/climate change of the earth system through its influence on solar and terrestrial radiation, cloud properties, and precipitation efficiency. Providing an accurate description of the life cycle and climate effects of EAD is therefore critical to better understanding of climate change and socioeconomic development in East Asia and even worldwide. Dust modeling has undergone substantial development since the late 1990 s, associated with improved understanding of the role of EAD in the earth system. Here, we review the achievements and progress made in recent decades in terms of dust modeling research,including dust emissions, long-range transport, radiative forcing(RF), and climate effects of dust particles over East Asia. Numerous efforts in dust/EAD modeling have been directed towards furnishing more sophisticated physical and chemical processes into the models on higher spatial resolutions. Meanwhile, more systematic observations and more advanced retrieval methods for instruments that address EAD related science issues have made it possible to evaluate model results and quantify the role of EAD in the earth system, and to further reduce the uncertainties in EAD simulations. Though much progress has been made, large discrepancies and knowledge gaps still exist among EAD simulations. 4Analysis of the Oldest Carbonate Gas Reservoir in China——New Geological Significance of the Dengying Gas Reservoir in the Weiyuan Structure, Sichuan Basin显示文摘The Weiyuan Structure is the largest surface structure in the Sichuan Basin. However, the abundance of the Dengying Formation gas reservoir in the Weiyuan Structure is low. The height of the gas column is 244 m, but the integrated abundance is only 26.4%. After nearly 40 years of exploration, the Gaoshi1 Well and Moxi8 Well yielded gas flows that marked an important exploration success after the discovery of the Sinian Dengying Formation gas reservoir in the Weiyuan Structure, Sichuan Basin, Lower-Paleozoic in 1964. Combined with research examples of oil and gas migration and gas chimneys around the world, the authors used comprehensive geological-geophysical-geochemical research methods to provide a reasonable explanation of the low abundance of the gas reservoir in the Weiyuan Structure based on the surface and subsurface data. The latest research results show that(1) currently, the Weiyuan Structure is the apex of the Dengying Formation in the Mid-Sichuan Basin. The Guang'an, Longnüsi, Gaoshiti-Moxi, and Weiyuan structures are a series of traps in the Dengying Formation with gradual uplifting spill and closure points during the regional uplift of the Himalayan period. The natural gas of the Dengying Formation accumulated in different ways over a wide range and long distance in the Sichuan Basin.(2) At approximately 40 Ma, the Weiyuan area started to uplift and form the present structure, and it is the only outcropped area with the Triassic Jialingjiang Formation and Leikoupo Formation in the surface of the Sichuan Basin(except the steep structural belt in East Sichuan). Caused by the uplift and denudation, the core of the Weiyuan Structure has formed an escaping 'skylight' for natural gas. The evidence of a gas chimney includes(1) the component percentage of non-hydrocarbon gas, which decreased from the bottom to the top,(2) the pressure coefficient is normal because the gas reservoir from the Upper Sinian to the Lower Permian commonly have a normal pressure coefficient(an average of 1.0), and(3) the isotope geochemistry of the argon mostly represents abiogenic characteristics of a deep source, and the 40 Ar/36 Ar ratio is as high as 2 855–5 222 in the Upper Permian. All of these characteristics provide sufficient evidence for a gas chimney effect. 5Porous LaFeO3 nanofiber with oxygen vacancies as an efficient electrocatalyst for N2 conversion to NH3 under ambient conditions显示文摘Electrocatalytic N2 reduction to NH3 under ambient conditions is an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to the traditional Haber-Bosch process. However, inhibited by the high activation barrier of N2, this process needs efficient electrocatalysts to adsorb and activate the N2, enabling the N2 reduction reaction(NRR). Herein, we report that porous LaFeO3 nanofiber with oxygen vacancies acts as an efficient NRR electrocatalyst with abundant active sites to enhance the adsorption and activation of N2. When tested in 0.1 M HCl, such electrocatalyst achieves a high Faradaic efficiency of 8.77% and a large NH3 yield rate of 18.59 μg h–1 mgcat–1.at-0.55 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode. This catalyst also shows high long-term electrochemical stability and excellent selectivity for NH3 formation. 6Fe5C2 nanoparticles as low-cost HER electrocatalyst:the importance of Co substitution显示文摘Constructing and understanding the doping effect of secondary metal in transition metal carbide(TMC)catalysts is pivotal for the design of low-cost hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) electrocatalysts. In this work, we developed a wet-chemistry strategy for synthesizing Co-modified Fe_5C_2 nanoparticles((Fe_(1-x)Cox)_5C_2 NPs) as highly active HER electrocatalysts in basic solution. The structure of(Fe_(1-x)Cox)_5C_2 NPs was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectra(EXAFS) and scanning/transmission electron microscopy(S/TEM), indicating that the isomorphous substitution of cobalt in the lattice of Fe_5C_2.(Fe_(0.75) Co_(0.25))_5C_2 exhibited the best HER activity(174 mV for j = -10 mA/cm^2). Computational calculation results indicate that Co provides the most active site for HER. X-ray adsorption spectra(XAS) studies further suggested that the electron transfer in Fe–C bonds are enhanced by the substitution of Co, which modulates the hydrogen adsorption on the adjacent electronic-enriched carbon, and therefore promotes HER activity. 7DICER1 mutations in twelve Chinese patients with pleuropulmonary blastoma显示文摘Our aim is to examine the impact of DICER1 mutations on the pathogenesis of pleuropulmonary blastoma(PPB) by evaluating the mutation frequency and investigating the family history of Chinese patients with PPB. The family histories of 12 children with PPB recruited consecutively were surveyed. Blood samples from patients and their first-degree relatives were tested for DICER1 mutations. Whole-genome sequencing of blood samples and formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded(FFPE) tumor tissue was performed in one family with twins. Twelve patients with PPB included six type II and six type III cases. Seven of the12 patients harbored DICER1 mutations, six of which were frameshift or nonsense mutations. Another case carried a germline DICER1 mutation affecting the splice site. FFPE sample had a nonsense mutation in TDG and missense mutations in DICER1.In addition, two cases with DICER1 mutations were found to have lung cysts preceding the diagnosis of PPB. Furthermore, one patient had a family history remarkable for thyroid diseases. Our results indicate that the germline mutation frequency in Chinese patients with PPB is similar to the ones reported for patients from USA, UK, and Japan. 9Differential mRNA expression profiling of oral squamous cell carcinoma by high-throughput RNA sequencing显示文摘Differentially expressed genes are thought to regulate the development and progression of oral squamous cell carcinomas(OSCC).The purpose of this study was to screen differentially expressed mRNAs in OSCC and matched paraneoplastic normal tissues,and to explore the intrinsic mechanism of OSCC development and progression.We obtained the differentially expressed mRNA expression profiles in 10 pairs of fresh-frozen OSCC tissue specimens and matched paraneoplastic normal tissue specimens by high-throughput RNA sequencing.By using Gene Ontology enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment analyses,the functional significance of the differentially expressed genes were analyzed.We identified 1,120 significantly up-regulated mRNAs and 178 significantly down-regulated mRNAs in OSCC,compared to normal tissue.The differentially expressed mRNAs were involved in 20 biological processes and 68 signal pathways.Compared to adjacent normal tissue,the expression of MAGEA11 was up-regulated;TCHH was down-regulated.These findings were verified by real-time PCR.These differentially expressed mRNAs may function as oncogenes or tumor suppressors in the development and progression of OSCC.This study provides novel insights into OSCC.However,further work is needed to determine if these differentially expressed mRNAs have potential roles as diagnostic biomarkers and candidate therapeutic targets for OSCC.Liangyu Ge Siyu Liu Long Xie Lei Sang Changyan Ma Hongwei Li 2015The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,5:4
10A state-of-the-art review of asphalt pavement surface texture and its measurement techniques显示文摘To understand the research status of asphalt pavement texture,the related achievements and progress of pavement surface texture were systematically sorted out from three aspects:the characterization of pavement surface texture,the texture measurement and evaluation,and the relationship between texture and the skid resistance.Based on the statistical geometric characteristics,the spectral characteristics,the fractal characteristics and the multifractal characteristics,the characteristics of pavement texture were discussed.The test methods of pavement texture were divided into two categories:direct measurement methods and indirect measurement methods.The advantages and disadvantages of each measurement method were summarized.The effects of macro-texture and micro-texture on asphalt pavement were discussed,respectively.The relationship between texture and skid resistance was studied.This review shows that multifractal theory should be further studied from the aspect of road engineering.High-precision non-contact integrated detection technology should be further studied to meet the needs of complex testing environments.The method of finite element numerical simulation has potential for the analysis of pavement skid resistance.In addition,methods such as big data analysis,neural network,and deep learning should be studied to achieve the intelligent perception and management of the whole state of skid resistance prediction.Siyu Chen Xiyin Liu Haoyuan Luo Jiangmiao Yu Fuda Chen Yang Zhang Tao Ma Xiaoming Huang 2022Journal of Road Engineering2022,2,2:3
11An adaptive integration surface for predicting transonic rotor noise in hovering and forward flights显示文摘In this paper, a new permeable adaptive integration surface is developed in order to evaluate transonic rotor noise in accordance with FW-H_pds equations(Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings equations with penetrable data surface). Firstly, a nonlinear near-field solution is computed on the basis of Navier-Stokes equations, which is developed on moving-embedded grid methodology.The solution calculated through the present CFD method is used as the input for acoustic calculations by FW-H_pds equations. Then, two criteria for constructing integration surfaces are established based on the analysis of the quadrupole source strength and the nonlinear characteristic.A new surface is determined adaptively by the pressure gradient or density in a given flowfield,eschewing the uncertainties associated with determining cylinder-shaped integration surfaces. For varying hover cases, transonic noises are simulated with new integration surfaces for a UH-1 model rotor. Furthermore, numerical results of the new integration surface derived from the density perturbation value conform better to experimental data than results derived from the pressure gradient.Finally, the integration surface given by jrqj being 0.1, which is an applicable criterion obtained from hover cases, is used to predict transonic rotor noise in forward flight. 13Evaluation of Climatic Comfort of Living Environment based on Age Differentials in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area显示文摘Somatosensory comfort is mainly determined by the Temperature and Humidity Index(THI)with Wind Efficiency Index(WEI),but this conventional usage of these indicators does not capture the age-related differentials.Here we resolved this gap with a modification of the climatic comfort definition and method in a national standard,denoted as the Relative Climate Sensitive Index(RCSI),which incorporated the age-related vulnerability scores determined through online questionnaires with a scoring method,for each of the age-related and adaptive climatic comfort responses to changes in residence with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH)region as an example.First,the result showed that the human comfort of living environment decreased with age in the BTH region,implicating age obviously impacted comfort,and weak adaptability made the elderly the relatively most high-risk group-their suitable region was less than a quarter of the whole study region.Second the adverse effects of persistent hot weather on comfort,indicating global warming as the leading driver of dwindling comfort over recent years.As the warming was more significant in the southeastern part,all these forces combined had there a hotspot,appealing for extra attention.Last this improved evaluation accorded with actual situation to captured high-risk groups with their distributions.Siyu Liu Buju Long Zhihua Pan Fei Lun Yu Song Weiying Yuan Na Huang Ziyuan Zhang Shangqian Ma 2020Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2020,6,1:1
14Dynamic changes of renal cortical blood perfusion before and after percutaneous transluminal renal artery stenting in patients with severe atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis显示文摘Background:This study aims to observe the dynamic changes of renal artery(RA)disease and cortical blood perfusion(CBP)evaluated by contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)after percutaneous transluminal renal artery stenting(PTRAS)in patients with severe atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis(ARAS)and to analyze the relationship between CBP and prognosis.Methods:This was a single-center retrospective cohort study.A total of 98 patients with unilateral severe ARAS after successful PTRAS in Beijing Hospital from September 2017 to September 2020 were included.According to renal glomerular filtration rate(GFR)detected by radionuclide imaging at 12 months after PTRAS,all patients were divided into the poor prognosis group(n=21,GFR decreased by≥20%compared with baseline)and the control group(n=77,GFR decreased by<20%or improved compared with baseline).Renal artery stenosis was diagnosed by digital subtraction angiography,and renal CBP was evaluated by CEUS using TomTec Imaging Systems(Germany)before PTRAS,at 6 months and 12 months after discharge.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve with area under the curve(AUC)was used to analyze the predictive value of CBP parameters,including area under ascending curve(AUC1),area under the descending curve(AUC2),rising time(RT),time to peak intensity(TTP),maximum intensity(IMAX),and mean transit time(MTT)for poor prognosis.Results:Among the 98 patients,there were 52 males(53.1%),aged 55–74 years old,with an average age of 62.1±8.7 years,and an average artery stenosis of 82.3±12.9%.The poor prognosis group was associated with significantly increased incidence of diabetes(76.2%vs.41.6%),and lower levels of GFR of the stenotic kidney(21.8 mL/min vs.25.0 mL/min)and total GFR(57.6 mL/min vs.63.7 mL/min)(all P<0.05),compared with the control group(P<0.05).In addition,the rate of RA restenosis was significantly higher in the poor prognosis group than in the control group(9.5%vs.0,χ^(2)=9.462,P=0.002).Compared with the control group,the poor prognosis group was associated with significantly decreased baseline AUC1 and AUC2,and extended duration of TTP and MTT(P<0.05).At 6 months and 12 months of follow-up,patients in the control group were associated with markedly increased AUC1,AUC2,and IMAX,and shorter duration of RT and MTT(P<0.05).The ROC curve showed that the predictive values of AUC1,AUC2,RT,TTP,IMAX,and MTT for poor prognosis were 0.812(95%CI:0.698–0.945),0.752(95%CI:0.591–0.957),0.724(95%CI:0.569–0.961),0.720(95%CI:0.522–0.993),0.693(95%CI:0.507–0.947),and 0.786(95%CI:0.631–0.979),respectively.Conclusions:Preoperative renal CBP in severe ARAS patients with poor prognosis is significantly reduced,and does not show significant improvement after stent treatment over the first year of follow-up.The parameter AUC1 may be a good predictor for renal dysfunction after PTRAS in severe ARAS patients.Trial Registration:ChiCTR.org.cn,ChiCTR1800016252.Na Ma Yan Li Siyu Wang Mengpu Li Yongjun Li Hu Ai Hui Zhu Yang Wang Fajin Guo Junhong Ren 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,13:1
15Structural modification of BODIPY: Improve its applicability显示文摘BODIPY has been considered a potential scaffold because of their neutral total charge, sharp absorption,and emission with high fluorescence quantum yield. However, the drawback of emission wavelength at less than 600 nm and hydrophobicity limit its application. One of the extremely interesting properties of BODIPY is that small modifications to their structures could be able to tune their properties, mainly including the absorption/emission wavelength and the hydrophilicity. 16Study on New Urbanization and Urban Ecological Security Assessment显示文摘Taking the relationship between new urbanization and urban ecological security protection as research object,based on pressure- status- response model,taking Gaochun( Gucheng Lake basin) and Zhangjiakou( Guanting Reservoir basin) as the examples,basin ecological security in its new urbanization process was evaluated. Based on the principle of comprehensiveness,representativeness and data availability,evaluation indexes were selected,and index system was established. Mathematical function of evaluation indexes was established,and security index of each evaluation indicator in index layer was determined. Using weighted average method,ecological security indexes in the two areas were obtained. 183D bioprinting of cell-laden nano-attapulgite/gelatin methacrylate composite hydrogel scaffolds for bone tissue repair显示文摘Bone tissue engineering(BTE)has proven to be a promising strategy for bone defect repair.Due to its excellent biological properties,gelatin methacrylate(GelMA)hydrogels have been used as bioinks for 3D bioprinting in some BTE studies to produce scaffolds for bone regeneration.However,applications for load-bearing defects are limited by poor mechanical properties and a lack of bioactivity.In this study,3D printing technology was used to create nano-attapulgite(nano-ATP)/GelMA composite hydrogels loaded into mouse bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)and mouse umbilical vein endothelial cells(MUVECs).The bioprintability,physicochemical properties,and mechanical properties were all thoroughly evaluated.Our findings showed that nano-ATP groups outperform the control group in terms of printability,indicating that nano-ATP is beneficial for printability.Additionally,after incorporation with nano-ATP,the mechanical strength of the composite hydrogels was significantly improved,resulting in adequate mechanical properties for bone regeneration.The presence of nano-ATP in the scaffolds has also been stud-ied for cell-material interactions.The findings show that cells within the scaffold not only have high viability but also a clear proclivity to promote osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs.Besides,the MUVECs-loaded composite hydrogels demonstrated increased angiogenic activity.A cranial defect model was also developed to evaluate the bone repair capability of scaffolds loaded with rat BMSCs.According to histo-logical analysis,cell-laden nano-ATP composite hydrogels can effectively im prove bone regeneration and promote angiogenesis.This study demonstrated the potential of nano-ATP for bone tissue engineering,which should also increase the clinical practicality of nano-ATP.Chun Liu Ting Dai Xiaoyu Wu Jiayi Ma Jun Liu Siyu Wu Lei Yang Hongbin Zhao 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,4:1
19Cu_(2)Sb decorated Cu nanowire arrays for selective electrocatalytic CO_(2)to CO conversion显示文摘The advancement of cost-effective and selective electrocatalyst towards CO_(2) to CO conversion is crucial for renewable energy conversion and storage,thus to achieve carbon-neutral cycle in a sustainable manner.In this communication,we report that CujSb decorated Cu nanowire arrays on Cu foil act as a highly active and selective electrocatalyst for CO_(2) to CO conversion.In CO_(2)-saturated 0.1 M KHCO_(3),it achieves a high Faraday efficiency(FE)of 86.5%for CO,at-0.90 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).The H_(2)/CO ratio is tunable from 0.08:1 to 5.9:1 by adjusting the potential.It is worth noting that HCOO-product was totally suppressed on such catalyst,compared with Sb counterpart.The improving selectivity for CO could be attributed to the bimetallic effect and nanowire arrays structure.Shiyong Mou Yonghao Li Luchao Yue Jie Liang Yonglan Luo Qian Liu Tingshuai Li Siyu Lu Abdullah M.Asiri Xiaoli Xiong Dongwei Ma Xuping Sun 2021Nano Research2021,14,8:1
