| 1 | Innovative endoscopic enucleations of the prostate--Xie’s Prostate Enucleations显示文摘In the past 2 decades,endoscopic enucleation of the prostate has become a safe and effective surgical treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH),with comparable outcomes to traditional surgeries.Transurethral vapor enucleation and resection of the prostate(TVERP),transurethral vapor enucleation of the prostate(TVEP),and ultrasound-navigated TVEP(US-TVEP)are new,innovative endoscopic enucleation procedures.These procedures are named Xie’s Prostate Enucleations(Xie’s Procedures for short).Current clinical data indicate that Xie’s Procedures are safe and effective treatment options for patients with BPH,especially for patients with larger prostates.Further prospective,randomized clinical trials compared with traditional transurethral resection of prostate(TURP)are still needed. | Liping Xie Xiao Wang Hong Chen Xiangyi Zheng Ben Liu Shiqi Li Yeqing Mao Qiqi Mao Song Wang Jiangfeng Li Tillmann Loch | 2018 | Asian Journal of Urology2018,5,1: | 6 |

| 4 | Surface engineering of carbon dots for highly sensitive α-glucosidase assay and inhibition evaluation显示文摘Monitoringα-glucosidase(α-Glu)activity is of great significance for the early diagnosis of typeⅡdiabetes.Here the blue fluorescent carbon dots(CDs)were integrated with two different recognizing molecules,β-cyclodextrin and phenylboronic acid,for assembling a multifunctional CDs(mCDs)nanoplatform for sensitively analyzingα-Glu and its inhibitors.The hydrolyzed product of 4-nitrophenyl-α-D-glucopyranoside(α-Glu substrate),p-nitrophenol,could efficiently quench the fluorescence of mCDs due to its cooperative molecular recognition withβ-cyclodextrin and phenylboronic acid.The mCDs could be utilized for the detection ofα-Glu activity with the limit of detection of 0.030 U/L.Moreover,the presentα-Glu detection platform revealed a high selectivity,and other natural enzymes showed scarcely any effect on the present mCDs system.The proposed method could be facilely used to screenα-Glu inhibitors with satisfying performance.The rational mCDs is expected to supplement more comprehensive biosensing platforms for highly sensitive and specific recognition of disease-relevant biomarkers with clinical importance. | Meijuan Liang Gege Song Yeqing Wan Yingying Chen Fuan Wang Xiaoqing Liu | 2024 | Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,3: | 0 |

| 6 | Edible mushrooms as a potent therapeutics of subclinical thyroid dysfunction among adults,especially in obese individuals:a prospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Mushrooms are a good source of many nutrients which are potentially beneficial for chronic diseases.We speculated that due to its abundant nutrients edible mushrooms might have a beneficial effect on the prevention of subclinical thyroid dysfunction(SCTD).Therefore,we designed a large-scale cohort study to examine whether mushrooms consumption is a protective factor for SCTD in adults.Methods:This prospective cohort study investigated 6631 participants(mean age:(45.0±10.2)years;55.1%men).Edible mushrooms consumption was measured at baseline using a validated food frequency questionnaire.SCTD was defined as abnormal serum thyroid-stimulating hormone levels and normal free thyroxine.Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to examine the association of edible mushrooms consumption with incident SCTD.Results:During follow-up period,a total of 262 new cases of SCTD were identified,the incidence rate of subclinical hypothyroidism was 8.9/1000 person-years and subclinical hyperthyroidism was 7.2/1000 person-years.After adjusting potential confounding factors,the multivariable hazard ratios(95%confidence intervals)for subclinical hypothyroidism were 1.00(reference)for almost never,0.53(0.29,0.97)for 1-3 times/week and 0.30(0.10,0.87)for≥4 times/week(P for trend=0.02).It also showed edible mushrooms consumption was inversely associated with subclinical hypothyroidism in obese individuals but not non-obese individuals,the final hazard ratios(95%confidence intervals)were 0.14(0.03,0.73)(P for trend<0.01).Conclusions:This population-based prospective cohort study has firstly demonstrated that higher edible mushrooms consumption was significantly associated with lower incidence of subclinical hypothyroidism among general adult population,especially in obese individuals. | Juanjuan Zhang Sabina Rayamajhi Amrish Thapa Ge Meng Qing Zhang Li Liu Hongmei Wu Yeqing Gu Shunming Zhang Tingjing Zhang Xuena Wang Zhixia Cao Jun Dong Xiaoxi Zheng Xu Zhang Xinrong Dong Xing Wang Shaomei Sun Ming Zhou Qiyu Jia Kun Song Kaijun Niu | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,1: | 0 |
