| 1 | In vivo theranostics with near-infraredemitting carbon dots—highly efficient photothermal therapy based on passive targeting after intravenous administration显示文摘Carbon dots that exhibit near-infrared fluorescence(NIR CDs)are considered emerging nanomaterials for advanced biomedical applications with low toxicity and superior photostability and targeting compared to currently used photoluminescence agents.Despite progress in the synthesis of NIR CDs,there remains a key obstacle to using them as an in vivo theranostic agent.This work demonstrates that the newly developed sulfur and nitrogen codoped NIR CDs are highly efficient in photothermal therapy(PTT)in mouse models(conversion efficiency of 59%)and can be readily visualized by photoluminescence and photoacoustic imaging.The real theranostic potential of NIR CDs is enhanced by their unique biodistribution and targeting.Contrary to all other nanomaterials that have been tested in biomedicine,they are excreted through the body’s renal filtration system.Moreover,after intravenous injection,NIR CDs are accumulated in tumor tissue via passive targeting,without any active species such as antibodies.Due to their accumulation in tumor tissue without the need for intratumor injection,high photothermal conversion,excellent optical and photoacoustic imaging performance,and renal excretion,the developed CDs are suitable for transfer to clinical biomedical practice. | Xin Bao Ye Yuan Jingqin Chen Bohan Zhang Di Li Ding Zhou Pengtao Jing Guiying Xu Yingli Wang Kateřina Holá Dezhen Shen Changfeng Wu Liang Song Chengbo Liu Radek Zbořil Songnan Qu | 2018 | Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1: | 13 |
| 2 | Namib desert beetle inspired special patterned fabric with programmable and gradient wettability for efficient fog harvesting显示文摘Efficient collection of water from fog provides a potential solution to solve the global freshwater shortage problem, particularly in the desert or arid regions. In this work, a flexible and highly efficient fog collector was prepared by mimicking the back exoskeleton structure of the Namib desert beetle. The improved fog collector was constructed by a superhydrophobic-superhydrophilic patterned fabric via a simple weaving method, followed by in-situ deposition of copper particles. Compared with the conventional fog collector with a plane structure, the fabric has shown a higher water-harvesting rate at 1432.7 mg/h/cm2,owing to the biomimetic three-dimensional structure, its enhanced condensation performance enabled by the copper coating and the rational distribution of wetting units. | 3 | Ultra-strong phosphorescence with 48% quantum yield from grinding treated thermal annealed carbon dots and boric acid composite显示文摘Metal-free room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP)materials are of great significance for many applications;however,they usually exhibit low efficiency and weak intensity.This article reports a new strategy for the preparation of a high-efficiency and strong RTP materials from crystalline thermal-annealed carbon dots(CDs)and boric acid(BA)composite(g-t-CD@BA)through grinding-induced amorphous to crystallization transition.Amorphous thermal-annealed CDs and BA composite(t-CD@BA)is prepared following a thermal melting and super-cooling route,where the CDs are fully dispersed in molten BA liquid and uniformly frozen in an amorphous thermal annealed BA matrix after super-cooling to room temperature.Upon grinding treatment,the fracture and fragmentation caused by grinding promote the transformation of the high-energy amorphous state to the lower energy crystalline counterparts.As a result,the CDs are uniformly in situ embedded in the BA crystal matrix.This method affords maximum uniform embedding of the CDs in the BA crystals,decreases nonradiative decay,and promotes intersystem crossing by restraining the free vibration of the CDs,thus producing strong RTP materials with the highest reported phosphorescence quantum yield(48%).Remarkably,RTP from g-t-CD@BA powder is strong enough to illuminate items with a delay time exceeding 9 s. | Qijun Li Zhenxiao Zhao Shuai Meng Yuchen Li Yunyang Zhao Bohan Zhang Zikang Tang Jing Tan Songnan Qu | 2022 | SmartMat2022,3,2: | 2 |

| 8 | Assessing 10 Satellite Precipitation Products in Capturing the July 2021 Extreme Heavy Rain in Henan, China显示文摘On 20 July 2021,a sudden rainstorm happened in central and northern Henan Province,China,killing at least 302people.This extreme precipitation event incurred substantial socioeconomic impacts and resulted in serious losses.Accurate monitoring of such rainstorm events is crucial.In this study,qualitative and quantitative methods are used to comprehensively evaluate the abilities of 10 high-resolution satellite precipitation products[CMORPH-Raw(Climate Prediction Center morphing technique),CMORPH-RT,PERSIANN-CCS(Precipitation Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information Using Artificial Neural Networks),GPM IMERG-Early(Integrated Multisatellite Retrievals for Global Precipitation Measurement),GPM IMERG-Late,GSMaP-Now(Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation),GSMaP-NRT,FY-2F,FY-2G,and FY-2H]in capturing this extreme rainstorm event,as well as their performances in monitoring different precipitation intensities.The results show that these satellite precipitation products are able to capture the spatial distributions of the rainstorm(e.g.,its location in central and northern Henan),but all products have underestimated the amount of precipitation in the rainstorm center.With the increase in precipitation intensity,the hit rate decreases,the threat score decreases,and the false alarm rate increases.CMORPH-RT is better at capturing the rainstorm than CMORPH-Raw,and it depictes the rainstorm process well;GPM IMERG-Late is more accurate than GPM IMERG-Early;GSMaP-NRT has performed better than GSMaP-Now;and PERSIANNCCS and FY-2F perform poorly.Among the products,CMORPH-RT performs the best,which has accurately captured the center of the rainstorm,and is also the closest to the station-based observations.In general,the satellite precipitation products that integrate infrared and passive microwave data are found to be better than those that only make use of infrared data.The satellite precipitation retrieval algorithm and the amount of passive microwave data have a relatively greater impact on the accuracy of satellite precipitation products. | Songnan LIU Jun WANG Huijun WANG | 2022 | Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,5: | 1 |
