| Kairui Mao Shuzhen Chen Mingkuan Chen Yonglei Ma Yan Wang Bo Huang Zhengyu He Yan Zeng Yu Htl Shuhui Sun Jing Li Xiaodong Wu Xiangrui Wang Warren Strober Chang Chen Guangxun Meng Bing Sun | 2013 | Cell Research2013,23,2: | 59
Chemical characteristics of fine particles and their impact on visibility impairment in Shanghai based on a 1-year period observation显示文摘In this work, a one-year observation focusing on high time resolution characteristics of components in fine particles was conducted at an urban site in Shanghai. Contributions of different components on visibility impairment were also studied. Our research indicates that the major components of PM_(2.5) in Shanghai are water-soluble inorganic ions and carbonaceous aerosol, accounting for about 60% and 30% respectively. Higher concentrations of sulfate(SO42-) and organic carbon(OC) in PM_(2.5) occurred in fall and summer, while higher concentrations of nitrate(NO_3^-) were observed in winter and spring. The mass concentrations of Cl^- and K^+ were higher in winter. Moreover, NO_3^- increased significantly during PM_(2.5) pollution episodes. The high values observed for the sulfate oxidizing rate(SOR), nitrate oxidizing rate(NOR) and secondary organic carbon(SOC) in OC indicate that photochemical reactions were quite active in Shanghai. The IMPROVE(Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments) formula was used in this study to investigate the contributions of individual PM_(2.5) chemical components to the light extinction efficient in Shanghai. Both NH_4NO_3 and(NH_4)_2SO_4 had close relationships with visibility impairment in Shanghai. Our results show that the reduction of anthropogenic SO_2, NO_x and NH_3 would have a significant effect on the improvement of air quality and visibility in Shanghai. | Min Zhou Liping Qiao Shuhui Zhu Li Li Shengrong Lou Hongli Wang Qian Wang Shikang Tao Cheng Huang Changhong Chen | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,10: | 22
Single-cell transcriptomic atlas of primate cardiopulmonary aging显示文摘Aging is a major risk factor for many diseases, especially in highly prevalent cardiopulmonary comorbidities and infectious diseases including Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19).Resolving cellular and molecular mechanisms associated with aging in higher mammals is therefore urgently needed. Here,we created young and old non-human primate single-nucleus/cell transcriptomic atlases of lung, heart and artery, the top tissues targeted by SARS-CoV-2.Analysis of cell type-specific aging-associated transcriptional changes revealed increased systemic inflammation and compromised virus defense as a hallmark of cardiopulmonary aging. With age, expression of the SARS-CoV-2 receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)was increased in the pulmonary alveolar epithelial barrier, cardiomyocytes, and vascular endothelial cells. We found that interleukin 7(IL7)accumulated in aged cardiopulmonary tissues and induced ACE2 expression in human vascular endothelial cells in an NF-κB-dependent manner.Furthermore, treatment with vitamin C blocked IL7-induced ACE2 expression.Altogether, our findings depict the first transcriptomic atlas of the aged primate cardiopulmonary system and provide vital insights into age-linked susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2,suggesting that geroprotective strategies may reduce COVID-19 severity in the elderly. | Shuai Ma Shuhui Sun Jiaming Li Yanling Fan Jing Qu Liang Sun Si Wang Yiyuan Zhang Shanshan Yang Zunpeng Liu Zeming Wu Sheng Zhang Qiaoran Wang Aihua Zheng Shuguang Duo Yang Yu Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte Piu Chan Qi Zhou Moshi Song Weiqi Zhang Guang-Hui Liu | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,4: | 10
Development and validation of an endoscopic images-based deep learning model for detection with nasopharyngeal malignancies显示文摘Background:Due to the occult anatomic location of the nasopharynx and frequent presence of adenoid hyperpla-sia,the positive rate for malignancy identification during biopsy is low, thus leading to delayed or missed diagnosis for nasopharyngeal malignancies upon initial attempt. Here,we aimed to develop an artificial intelligence tool to detect nasopharyngeal malignancies under endoscopic examination based on deep learning. Methods:An endoscopic images-based nasopharyngeal malignancy detection model(eNPM-DM)consisting of a fully convolutional network based on the inception architecture was developed and fine-tuned using separate training and validation sets for both classification and segmentation.Briefly,a total of 28,966 qualified images were collected.Among these images,27,536 biopsy-proven images from 7951 individuals obtained from January 1st,2008,to December 31st,2016,were split into the training, validation and test sets at a ratio of 7:1:2 using simple randomiza-tion.Additionally,1430 images obtained from January 1st,2017,to March 31st,2017,were used as a prospective test set to compare the performance of the established model against oncologist evaluation. The dice similarity coef-ficient(DSC)was used to evaluate the efficiency of eNPM-DM in automatic segmentation of malignant area from the background of nasopharyngeal endoscopic images,by comparing automatic segmentation with manual segmenta-tion performed by the experts. Results:All images were histopathologically confirmed, and included 5713(19.7%)normal control,19,107(66.0%)nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),335(1.2%)NPC and 3811(13.2%)benign diseases. The eNPM-DM attained an overall accuracy of 88.7%(95%confidence interval(CI)87.8%-89.5%)in detecting malignancies in the test set.In the prospective comparison phase,eNPM-DM outperformed the experts:the overall accuracy was 88.0%(95%CI 86.1%-89.6%)vs.80.5%(95%CI 77.0%-84.0%).The eNPM-DM required less time(40 s vs.110.0±5.8 min)and exhibited encouraging performance in automatic segmentation of nasopharyngeal malignant area from the background, with an average DSC of 0.78±0.24 and 0.75±0.26 in the test and prospective test sets, respectively. Conclusions:The eNPM-DM outperformed oncologist evaluation in diagnostic classification of nasopharyngeal mass into benign versus malignant, and realized automatic segmentation of malignant area from the background of nasopharyngeal endoscopic images. | Chaofeng Li Bingzhong Jing Liangru Ke Bin Li Weixiong Xia Caisheng He Chaonan Qian Chong Zhao Haiqiang Mai Mingyuan Chen Kajia Cao Haoyuan Mo Ling Guo Qiuyan Chen Linquan Tang Wenze Qiu Yahui Yu Hu Liang Xinjun Huang Guoying Liu Wangzhong Li Lin Wang Rui Sun Xiong Zou Shanshan Guo Peiyu Huang Donghua Luo Fang Qiu Yishan Wu Yijun Hua Kuiyuan Liu Shuhui Lv Jingjing Miao Yanqun Xiang Ying Sun Xiang Guo Xing Lv | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 9
Namib desert beetle inspired special patterned fabric with programmable and gradient wettability for efficient fog harvesting显示文摘Efficient collection of water from fog provides a potential solution to solve the global freshwater shortage problem, particularly in the desert or arid regions. In this work, a flexible and highly efficient fog collector was prepared by mimicking the back exoskeleton structure of the Namib desert beetle. The improved fog collector was constructed by a superhydrophobic-superhydrophilic patterned fabric via a simple weaving method, followed by in-situ deposition of copper particles. Compared with the conventional fog collector with a plane structure, the fabric has shown a higher water-harvesting rate at 1432.7 mg/h/cm2,owing to the biomimetic three-dimensional structure, its enhanced condensation performance enabled by the copper coating and the rational distribution of wetting units. The device construction makes use of the widely available textile materials through mature manufacturing technology, which makes it highly suitable for large-scale industrial production. | Zhihua Yu Huimei Zhang Jianying Huang Shuhui Li Songnan Zhang Yan Cheng Jiajun Mao Xiuli Dong Shouwei Gao Shanchi Wang Zhong Chen Yaoxing Jiang Yuekun Lai | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,2: | 5
Single-nucleus transcriptomic landscape of primate hippocampal aging显示文摘The hippocampus plays a crucial role in learning and memory, and its progressive deterioration with age is functionally linked to a variety of human neurodegenerative diseases.Yet a systematic profiling of the aging effects on various hippocampal cell types in primates is still missing. Here,we reported a variety of new aging-associated phenotypic changes of the primate hippocampus. These include,in particular, increased DNA damage and heterochromatin erosion with time, alongside loss of proteostasis and elevated inflammation. To understand their cellular and molecular causes,we established the first single-nucleus transcriptomic atlas of primate hippocampal aging.Among the 12 identified cell types, neural transiently amplifying progenitor cell(TAPC)and microglia were most affected by aging.In-depth dissection of gene-expression dynamics revealed impaired TAPC division and compromised neuronal function along the neurogenesis trajectory;additionally elevated pro-inflammatory responses in the aged microglia and oligodendrocyte,as well as dysregulated coagulation pathways in the aged endothelial cells may contribute to a hostile microenvironment for neurogenesis. This rich resource for understanding primate hippocampal aging may provide potential diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic interventions against age-related neurodegenerative diseases. | Hui Zhang Jiaming Li Jie Ren Shuhui Sun Shuai Ma Weiqi Zhang Yang Yu Yusheng Cai Kaowen Yan Wei Li Baoyang Hu Piu Chan Guo-Guang Zhao Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte Qi Zhou Jing Qu Si Wang Guang-Hui Liu | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,9: | 5
Whole Genome Analyses of Chinese Population and De Novo Assembly of A Northern Han Genome显示文摘To unravel the genetic mechanisms of disease and physiological traits,it requires comprehensive sequencing analysis of large sample size in Chinese populations. Here,we report the primary results of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Precision Medicine Initiative(CASPMI)project launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including the de novo assembly of a northern Han reference genome(NH1.0)and whole genome analyses of 597 healthy people coming from most areas in China.Given the two existing reference genomes for Han Chinese(YH and HX1)were both from the south,we constructed NH1.0,a new reference genome from a northern individual,by combining the sequencing strategies of PacBio,10×Genomics,and Bionano mapping.Using this integrated approach,we obtained an N50 scaffold size of 46.63 Mb for the NH1.0 genome and performed a comparative genome analysis of NH1.0 with YH and HX1.In order to generate a genomic variation map of Chinese populations,we performed the whole-genome sequencing of 597 participants and identified 24.85 million(M)single nucleotide variants(SNVs),3.85 M small indels, and 106,382 structural variations. In the association analysis with collected phenotypes,we found that the T allele of rs1549293 in KAT8 significantly correlated with the waist circumference in northern Han males. Moreover, significant genetic diversity in MTHFR,TCN2,FADS1,and FADS2,which associate with circulating folate, vitamin B12,or lipid metabolism, was observed between northerners and southerners.Especially, for the homocysteine-increasing allele of rs1801133(MTHFR 677T),we hypothesize that there exists a “comfort”zone for a high frequency of 677T between latitudes of 35–45 degree North.Taken together, our results provide a high-quality northern Han reference genome and novel population-specific data sets of genetic variants for use in the personalized and precision medicine. | Zhenglin Du Liang Ma Hongzhu Qu Wei Chen Bing Zhang Xi Lu Weibo Zhai Xin Sheng Yongqiao Sun Wenjie Li Meng Lei Qiuhui Qi Na Yuan Shuo Shi Jingyao Zeng Jinyue Wang Yadong Yang Qi Liu Yaqiang Hong Lili Dong Zhewen Zhang Dong Zou Yanqing Wang Shuhui Song Fan Liu Xiangdong Fang Hua Chen Xin Liu Jingfa Xiao Changqing Zeng | 2019 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2019,17,3: | 4
Effects of samarium content on microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg–0.5Zn–0.5Zr alloy显示文摘Effects of samarium (Sm) content (0, 2.0, 3.5, 5.0, 6.5 wt%) on microstructure and mechanical proper-ties of Mg-0.5Zn-0.5 Zr alloy under as-cast and as-extruded states were thoroughly investigated. Results indicate that grains of the as-cast alloys are gradually refined as Sm content increases. The dominant intermetallic ph^se changes from Mg3Sm to Mg4iSm5 till Sm content exceeds 5.0 wt%. The dynami-cally precipitated intermetallic phase during hot-extrusion in dll Sm-containing alloys is Mg3Sm. The intermetallic particles induced by Sm addition could act as heterogeneous nucleation sites for dynamic recrystallization during hot extrusion. They promoted dynamic recrystallization via the particle stim-ulated nucleation mechanism, and resulted in weakening the basal texture in the as-extruded alloys. Sm addition can significantly enhance the strength of the as-extruded Mg-0.5Zn-0.5Zr alloy at room temperature, with the optimal dosage of 3.5 wt%. The optimal yield strength (YS) and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) are 368 MPa and 383 MPa, which were enhanced by approximately 23.1% and 20.8% com-pared with the Sm-free alloy, respectively. Based on microstructural analysis, the dominant strengthening mechanisms are revealed to be grain boundary strengthening and dispersion strengthening. | Kai Guan Fanzhi Meng Pengfei Qin Qiang Yang Dongdong Zhang Baishun Li Wei Sun Shuhui Lv Yuanding Huang Norbert Hort Jian Meng | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,7: | 4

Genome and transcriptome of Papaver somniferum Chinese landrace CHM indicates that massive genome expansion contributes to high benzylisoquinoline alkaloid biosynthesis显示文摘Opium poppy(Papaver somniferum)is a source of morphine, codeine, and semisynthetic derivatives, including oxycodone and naltrexone. Here,we report the de novo assembly and genomic analysis of P.somniferum traditional landrace‘Chinese Herbal Medicine’.Variations between the 2.62 Gb CHM genome and that of the previously sequenced high noscapine 1(HN1)variety were also explored.Among 79,668 protein-coding genes,we functionally annotated 88.9%,compared to 68.8%reported in the HN1 genome.Gene family and 4DTv comparative analyses with three other Papaveraceae species revealed that opium poppy underwent two whole-genome duplication(WGD)events. The first of these,in ancestral Ranunculales, expanded gene families related to characteristic secondary metabolite production and disease resistance. The more recent species-specific WGD mediated by transposable elements resulted in massive genome expansion.Genes carrying structural variations and large-effect variants associated with agronomically different phenotypes between CHM and HN1 that were identified through our transcriptomic comparison of multiple organs and developmental stages can enable the development of new varieties. These genomic and transcriptomic analyses will provide a valuable resource that informs future basic and agricultural studies of the opium poppy. | Li Pei Baishi Wang Jian Ye Xiaodi Hu Lihong Fu Kui Li Zhiyu Ni Zhenlong Wang Yujie Wei Luye Shi Ying Zhang Xue Bai Mengwan Jiang Shuhui Wang Chunling Ma Shujin Li Kaihui Liu Wanshui Li Bin Cong | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 4
Pre-aging on early-age behavior and bake hardening response of an Al-0.90Mg-0.80Si-0.64Zn-0.23Cu alloy显示文摘Pre-aging on early-age behavior and bake hardening response of an Al-0.90Mg-0.80Si-0.64 Zn alloy was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM), 3-dimensional atom probe(3DAP), Erichsen test and tensile test. The results indicated that pre-aged alloy exhibited excellent formability and bake-hardening response, while bake hardening response was poor in samples with natural aging. Clustering behavior during natural aging was inhibited by pre-aging. Numerous GP zones formed in pre-aged samples. GP zones were the nuclei of β′′ precipitates or directly transformed β′′ phases during paint baking process. A large number of β′′ phases were observed in pre-aged samples after paint bake treatment. There was no sign to indicate that β′′phase precipitated in natural aged samples after bake hardening treatment. | Lizhen Yan Zhihui Li Yong-an Zhang Baiqing Xiong Xiwu Li Hongwei Liu Shuhui Huang Hongwei Yan | 2016 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2016,26,4: | 4
Mobility in China,2020:a tale of four phases显示文摘2020 was an unprecedented year;with rapid and drastic changes in human mobility due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To understand the variation in commuting patterns among the Chinese population across stable and unstable periods,we used nationwide mobility data from 318 million mobile phone users in China to examine the extreme fluctuations of population movements in 2020,ranging from the Lunar New Year travel season(chunyun),to the exceptional calm of COVID-19 lockdown, and then to the recovery period. We observed that cross-city movements;which increased substantially in chunyun and then dropped sharply during the lockdown, are primarily dependent on travel distance and the socio-economic development of cities.Following the Lunar New Year holiday, national mobility remained low until mid-February,and COVID-19 interventions delayed more than 72.89 million people returning to large cities.Mobility network analysis revealed clusters of highly connected cities, conforming to the social-economic division of urban agglomerations in China. While the mass migration back to large cities was delayed, smaller cities connected more densely to form new clusters.During the recovery period after travel restrictions were lifted, the netflows of over 55%city pairs reversed in direction compared to before the lockdown. These findings offer the most comprehensive picture of Chinese mobility at fine resolution across various scenarios in China and are of critical importance for decision making regarding future public-health-emergency response, transportation planning and regional economic development, among others. | Suoyi Tan Shengjie Lai Fan Fang Ziqiang Cao Bin Sai Bing Song Bitao Dai Shuhui Guo Chuchu Liu Mengsi Cai Tong Wang Mengning Wang Jiaxu Li Saran Chen Shuo Qin Jessica R.Floyd Zhidong Cao Jing Tan Xin Sun Tao Zhou Wei Zhang Andrew J.Tatem Petter Holme Xiaohong Chen Xin Lu | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,11: | 3
Deficient Rnf43 potentiates hyperactive Kras-mediated pancreatic preneoplasia initiation and malignant transformation显示文摘Background:Largely due to incidental detection, asymptomatic pancreatic cystic le-sions(PCLs)have become prevalent in recent years.Among them, intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm(IPMN)infrequently advances to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC).Conservative surveillance versus surgical intervention is a difficult clinical decision for both caregivers and PCL patients.Because RNF43 loss-of-function mutations and KRAS gain-of-function mutations concur in a subset of IPMN and PDAC,their biological significance and therapeutic potential should be elucidated. Methods:Pancreatic Rnf43 knockout and Kras activated mice(Rnf43^(−/−);Kras^(G12D))were generated to evaluate their clinical significance in pancreatic pre-neoplastic initiation and malignant transformation. Results:Loss of Rnf43 potentiated the occurrence and severity of IPMN and PDAC in oncogenic Kras mice. The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway was activated in pan-creatic Kras^(G12D)and Rnf43 knockout mice and the PORCN inhibitor LGK974 blocked pancreatic IPMN initiation and progression to PDAC accordingly.Conclusions:Rnf43 is a tumor suppressor in the prevention of pancreatic malignant transformation. This genetically reconstituted autochthonous pancreatic Rnf43^(−/−);Kras^(G12D)preclinical cancer model recapitulates the pathological process from pancreatic cyst to cancer in humans and can be treated with inhibitors of Wnt/β-catenin signaling.Since the presence of RNF43 and KRAS mutations in IPMNs predicts future development of advanced neoplasia from PCLs,patients with these genetic anomalies warrant surveillance,surgery,and/or targeted therapeutics such as Wnt/β-catenin inhibitors. | Xian Zhou Zhichao Sun Mengdi Zhang Xiaoyu Qu Shuhui Yang Lianmei Wang Yanling Jing Li Li Weiwei Deng Fangming Liu Jin Di Jie Chen Jian Wu Hongbing Zhang | 2022 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,1: | 3
The surface velocity feature of Glacier No.1 at the headwater of Urumqi River,Tianshan Mountain显示文摘The movement of a glacier can redistribute glacier mass balance and change water and thermal conditions of the glacier. Thus, the glacier can maintain its dynamic balance.Surface velocity of a glacier is a basic feature of glacier movement. With successive monthly observations from 2006 to 2008,we obtained spatial and temporal variations for surface velocity of Glacier No.1 at the headwater of Urumqi River,Tianshan Mountain.Dynamic simulation was used to verify the findings. Results show that altitudinal distribution of glacier velocity was influenced by synthetic effects such as glacier thickness, slope, and bedrock morphology. However, seasonal variation was influenced by changing glacier thickness. | ZaiMing Zhou ZheFan Jing ShuHui Zhao TianDing Han ZhongQin Li | 2009 | Research in Cold and Arid Regions2009,1,6: | 3
Growth kinetics of hydrate formation from water–hydrocarbon system显示文摘Gas hydrates have drawn global attentions in the past decades as potential energy resources. It should be noted that there are a variety of possible applications of hydrate-based technologies, including natural gas storage, gas transportation, separation of gas mixture, and seawater desalination. These applications have been critically challenged by insufficient understanding of hydrate formation kinetics. In this work, the literatures on growth kinetic behaviors of hydrate formation from water-hydrocarbon were systematically reviewed. The hydrate crystal growth, hydrate film growth and macroscopic hydrate formation in water system were reviewed, respectively.Firstly, the hydrate crystal growth was analyzed with respect to different positions, such as gas/liquid interface, liquid–liquid interface and gas–liquid–liquid system.Secondly, experimental and modeling studies on the growth of hydrate film at the interfaces between guest phase and water phase were categorized into two groups of lateral growth and thickening growth considering the differences in growth rates.Thirdly,we summarized the promoters and inhibitors reported(biological or chemical, liquid or solid and hydrophobic or hydrophilic)and analyzed the mechanisms affecting hydrate formation in bulk water system.Knowledge gaps and suggestions for further studies on hydrate formation kinetic behaviors are presented. | Youhong Sun Shuhui Jiang Shengli Li Guobiao Zhang Wei Guo | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,9: | 3

Natural variations of ZmSRO1d modulate the trade-off between drought resistance and yield by affecting ZmRBOHC-mediated stomatal ROS production in maize显示文摘While crop yields have historically increased, drought resistance has become a major concern in the context of global climate change. The trade-off between crop yield and drought resistance is a common phenomenon;however, the underlying molecular modulators remain undetermined.Through genome-wide association study,we revealed that three non-synonymous variants in a drought-resistant allele of ZmSRO1d-R resulted in plasma membrane localization and enhanced mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity of ZmSRO1d toward ZmRBOHC,which increased reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels in guard cells and promoted stomatal closure.ZmSRO1d-R enhanced plant drought resilience and protected grain yields under drought conditions, but it led to yield drag under favorable conditions. In contrast,loss-of-function mutants of ZmRBOHC showed remarkably increased yields under well-watered conditions, whereas they showed compromised drought resistance.Interestingly,by analyzing 189 teosinte accessions,we found that the ZmSRO1d-R allele was present in teosinte but was selected against during maize domestication and modern breeding.Collectively, our work suggests that the allele frequency reduction of ZmSRO1d-R in breeding programs may have compromised maize drought resistance while increased yields. Therefore, introduction of the ZmSRO1d-R allele into modern maize cultivars would contribute to food security under drought stress caused by global climate change. | Huajian Gao Junjun Cui Shengxue Liu Shuhui Wang Yongyan Lian Yunting Bai Tengfei Zhu Haohao Wu Yijie Wang Shiping Yang Xuefeng Li Junhong Zhuang Limei Chen Zhizhong Gong Feng Qin | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,10: | 2
Seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infections among children visiting a hospital显示文摘Importance:In this study,we retrospectively investigated the seroprevalence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)antibodies within serum samples from children in Beijing,China. These findings provide preliminary guidance regarding population susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2,which will aid in establishing policy toward coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)prevention and control. Objective:To understand the seropositivity of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM/IgG antibodies among children in Beijing,China, evaluate the susceptibility of children in Beijing to SARS-CoV-2,and provide prima facie evidence to guide SARS-CoV-2 prevention and control.Methods:IgM/IgG antibody kits(colloidal gold)were used to conduct preliminary screening of SARS-CoV-2 IgM/IgG antibodies in serum samples of children who presented to Beijing Children’s Hospital,Capital Medical University, having fever or requiring hospitalization, from March 2020 to August 2020.Statistical analysis of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody seropositivity was performed according to the children’s general demographic characteristics, timing of admission to hospital, presence of pneumonia, and viral nucleic acid test results. Results:The study included 19797 children with both IgM and IgG antibody results.Twenty-four children had anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM-positive results(positive rate of 1.2‰),twelve children had anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG-positive results(positive rate of 0.6‰).Viral nucleic acid test results were negative for the above-mentioned children with positive antibody findings;during the study, two children exhibited positive viral nucleic acid test results, but their anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM/IgG antibody results were negative.Anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM antibody seropositivity was higher in the<1-year-old group than in the≥6-year-old group. The rates of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM seropositivity was highest in August from March to August;IgG results did not significantly differ over time. The rates of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM or IgG seropositivity among children with and without suspected pneumonia did not significantly differ between groups.Interpretation:During the study period, the rates of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM/IgG antibody seropositivity were low among children who presented to Beijing Children’s Hospital,Capital Medical University. The findings suggest that children in Beijing are generally susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 infection;COVID-19 prevention and control measures should be strengthened to prevent disease in children. | Ran Wang Fang Jin Shuhui Cao Hong Yuan Jingchen Qu Jiaqi Zhang Yuxuan Li Xiangpeng Chen Wenqi Song Zhengde Xie | 2020 | Pediatric Investigation2020,4,4: | 2
