1Spatial-temporal Pattern and Population Driving Force of Land Use Change in Liupan Mountains Region, Southern Ningxia, China显示文摘The Liupan Mountains is located in the southern Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China, which forms an important dividing line between landforms and bio-geographic regions. The populated part of the Liupan Mountains region has suffered tremendous ecological damages over time due to population pressure, excessive demand and inappropriate use of agricultural land resources. In this paper, datasets of land use between 1990 and 2000 were obtained from Landsat TM imagery, and then spatial models were used to characterize landscape conditions. Also, the relationship between the population density and land use/cover change (LUCC) was analyzed. Results indicate that cropland, forestland, and urban areas have increased by 44,186ha, 9001ha and 1550ha, respectively while the grassland area has appreciably decreased by 54,025ha in the study period. The decrease in grassland was most notable. Of the grassland lost, 49.4% was converted into cropland. The largest annual land conversion rate in the study area was less than 2%. These changes are attributed to industrial and agricultural development and population growth. 2Wind tunnel test on the effect of metal net fences on sand flux in a Gobi Desert, China显示文摘The Lanzhou-Xinjiang High-speed Railway runs through an expansive windy area in a Gobi Desert, and sand-blocking fences were built to protect the railway from destruction by wind-blown sand. However, the shielding effect of the sand-blocking fence is below the expectation. In this study, effects of metal net fences with porosities of 0.5 and 0.7 were tested in a wind tunnel to determine the effectiveness of the employed two kinds of fences in reducing wind velocity and restraining wind-blown sand. Specifically, the horizontal wind velocities and sediment flux densities above the gravel surface were measured under different free-stream wind velocities for the following conditions: no fence at all, single fence with a porosity of 0.5, single fence with a porosity of 0.7, double fences with a porosity of 0.5, and double fences with a porosity of 0.7. Experimental results showed that the horizontal wind velocity was more significantly decreased by the fence with a porosity of 0.5, especially for the double fences. The horizontal wind velocity decreased approximately 65% at a distance of 3.25 m(i.e., 13 H, where H denotes the fence height) downwind the double fences, and no reverse flow or vortex was observed on the leeward side. The sediment flux density decreased exponentially with height above the gravel surface downwind in all tested fences. The reduction percentage of total sediment flux density was higher for the fence with a porosity of 0.5 than for the fence with a porosity of 0.7, especially for the double fences. Furthermore, the decreasing percentage of total sediment flux density decreased with increasing free-stream wind velocity. 4Co-seismic Faults and Geological Hazards and Incidence of Active Fault of Wenchuan Ms 8.0 Earthquake,Sichuan,China显示文摘There are two co-seismic faults which developed when the Wenchuan earthquake happened. One occurred along the active fault zone in the central Longmen Mts.and the other in the front of Longmen Mts.The length of which is more than 270 km and about 80 km respectively.The co-seismic fault shows a reverse flexure belt with strike of N45°-60°E in the ground,which caused uplift at its northwest side and subsidence at the southeast.The fault face dips to the northwest with a dip angle ranging from 50°to 60°.The vertical offset of the co-seismic fault ranges 2.5-3.0 m along the Yingxiu-Beichuan co-seismic fault,and 1.5-1.1 m along the Doujiangyan-Hanwang fault.Movement of the coseismic fault presents obvious segmented features along the active fault zone in central Longmen Mts. 6Electrical transport properties of Fe Se single crystal under high magnetic field显示文摘Understanding the normal electronic state is crucial for unveiling the mechanism of unconventional superconductivity(SC). In this paper, by applying a magnetic field of up to 37T on FeSe single crystals, we could reveal the normal-state transport properties after SC was completely suppressed. The normal-state resistivity exhibited a Fermi liquid behavior at low temperatures. Large orbital magnetoresistance(MR) was observed in the nematic state with H//c, whereas MR was negligible with H//ab. The magnitude of the orbital MR showed an unusual reduction, and Kohler’s rule was severely violated below 10-25 K;these were attributable to spin fluctuations. 7Experimental study of mode distortion induced by stimulated Raman scattering in high-power fiber amplifiers显示文摘The experimental investigation of mode distortion induced by stimulated Raman scattering(SRS)in a high-power fiber amplifier,which includes the evolutions of optical spectra,spatial beam profiles,and time-frequency characteristics,has been carried out in detail.Temporal-frequency characteristics have been studied for the first time,to the best of our knowledge,by using a low-speed camera and high-speed photodiode traces,which revealed that temporal-frequency characteristics of SRS-induced mode distortion are different from traditional dynamic mode instability(MI).The experimental results show that the output beam profile remains stable before the mode distortion occurs and fluctuates obviously after the onset of SRS-induced MI but on a time scale of seconds,which is much lower than that of Yb-gain-induced MI featuring millisecond-level beam profile fluctuation.It also shows that the mode distortion became measurable in company with the onset of inter-mode four-wave mixing(IM-FWM)when the ratio of Raman light reaches 3%;further,the beam quality factor M2degrades gradually from 1.4 to 2.1 as the ratio of Raman light increases.The mode distortion is accompanied by an obvious temperature increase of the output passive fiber,which further confirms that the mode distortion originates from SRS.The cause of the mode distortion induced by SRS has been explained in the context of core-pumped SRS effect,and the investigation on the accompanying IM-FWM effect indicates that the main content of the SRSinduced high-order mode is the LP21 mode.QIUHUI CHU QIANG SHU ZENG CHEN FENGYUN LI DONGLIN YAN CHAO GUO HONGHUAN LIN JIANJUN WANG FENG JING CHUANXIANG TANG RUMAO TAO 2020Photonics Research2020,8,4:6
8Epidemiology of urticaria in China:a population-based study显示文摘Background:Urticaria is a common skin disease characterized by episodes of wheals,and it has a negative effect on patients’quality of life.Large-scale population-based epidemiological studies of urticaria are scarce in China.The aim of this survey was to determine the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria in the Chinese population.Methods:This survey was conducted in 35 cities from 31 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities of China.Two to three communities in each city were selected in this investigation.Participants completed questionnaires and received dermatological examinations.We analyzed the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria.Results:In total,44,875 questionnaires were distributed and 41,041 valid questionnaires were collected(17,563 male and 23,478 female participants).The lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%,with 8.26%in female and 6.34%in male individuals(P<0.05).The point prevalence of urticaria was 0.75%,with 0.79%in female and 0.71%in male individuals(P<0.05).Concomitant angioedema was found in 6.16%of patients.Adults had a higher prevalence of urticaria than adolescents and children.Living in urban areas,exposure to pollutants,an anxious or depressed psychological status,a personal and family history of allergy,thyroid diseases,and Helicobacter pylori infection were associated with a higher prevalence of urticaria.Smoking was correlated with a reduced risk of urticaria.Conclusion:This study demonstrated that the lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%and the point prevalence was 0.75%in the Chinese population;women had a higher prevalence of urticaria than men.Various factors were correlated with urticaria.Jiaqing Li Dandan Mao Shuoshuo Liu Ping Liu Jing Tian Chenhong Xue Xiaojing Liu Ruiqun Qi Bingxue Bai Jianjun Nie Siqi Ye Yu Wang Yuye Li Qing Sun Juan Tao Shuping Guo Hong Fang Jianqin Wang Qiri Mu Quanzhong Liu Yan Ding Jianzhong Zhang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11:6
9Fouling community characteristics in subtropical coastal waters of the southwestern East China Sea显示文摘A fouling study was conducted in coastal waters southwest of the East China Sea between December 2013 and November 2014. A total of 84 species of fouling organisms belonging to 69 genera, 49 families, and 10 phyla were recorded over the entire year. The community composition was dominated by coastal warm-water species belonging to typical subtropical inner bay communities. The prosperous stage of settlement lasted from April to September, and the adhesion strength of the fouling organisms was the highest in summer. Sessile suspension feeders constituted the main core of settlement for the fouling community. Amphibalanus reticulatus was the most dominant and representative species of fouling organism, and other dominant species included Caprella equilibra, Ectopleura crocea, Anthopleura nigrescens, Stylochus ijimai, Spirobranchus kraussii, Crassostrea angulata, Perna viridis, Jassa falcata, Stenothoe valida, Sphaerozius nitidus, and Biflustra grandicella. The individuals in the fouling community showed a mutual dependence or constraint relationship due to competition for settlement space and food, and they exhibited a particular spatiotemporal distribution in accordance with adaptation to environmental factors. Temperature was the most important environmental factor determining the geographic distribution of fouling organisms. The temperature characteristics of species essentially reflect the differences in the fouling community composition in various climate zones. The species number, settlement stage, and settlement rate of fouling organisms are closely related to water temperature. 10A novel approach to melt purification of magnesium alloys显示文摘A novel low-cost method for melt purification of magnesium alloys,the melt self-purifying technology(MSPT),has been developed successfully based on a low temperature melt treatment(LTMT)without adding any fluxes.The iron solubility in the molten liquid of magnesium and its alloys,and the settlement velocity of iron particles were calculated.It is shown that the low temperature melt treatment is an effective method to decrease the impurity Fe content in magnesium and its alloys.Without any additions,the Fe content in the AZ31 alloy was reduced to 15 ppm from the initial 65 ppm,and the Fe content in the AZ61 melt was decreased to 20 ppm from the initial 150 ppm after the low temperature melt treatment.The results also showed that the Fe content in AM60 and AM50 dropped to 15 and 18 ppm,respectively,from the initial 150 ppm after the low temperature melt treatment.For ZK 60,the Fe content in the melt down to less than 5 ppm was achieved.After the low temperature melt treatment,the Si content in the above alloys was also decreased obviously.Fusheng Pan Xianhua Chen Tao Yan Tingting Liu Jianjun Mao Wei Luo Qin Wang Jian Peng Aitao Tang Bin Jiang 2016Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2016,4,1:5
11Solving resource availability cost problem in project scheduling by pseudo particle swarm optimization显示文摘This paper considers a project scheduling problem with the objective of minimizing resource availability costs appealed to finish all activities before the deadline. There are finishstart type precedence relations among the activities which require some kinds of renewable resources. We predigest the process of solving the resource availability cost problem(RACP) by using start time of each activity to code the schedule. Then, a novel heuristic algorithm is proposed to make the process of looking for the best solution efficiently. And then pseudo particle swarm optimization(PPSO) combined with PSO and path relinking procedure is presented to solve the RACP. 12Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 13A proposed direct measurement of cross section at Gamow window for key reaction 19F(p,α) 16O in Asymptotic Giant Branch stars with a planned accelerator in CJPL显示文摘In 2014, the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) approved the Jinping Underground Nuclear Astrophysics laboratory(JUNA) project, which aims at direct cross-section measurements of four key stellar nuclear reactions right down to the Gamow windows. In order to solve the observed fluorine overabundances in Asymptotic Giant Branch(AGB) stars, measuring the key ^(19)F( p,α)^(16)O reaction at effective burning energies(i.e., at Gamow window) is established as one of the scientific research sub-projects. 14Modeling the Roles of Precipitation Increasing in Glacier Systems Responding to Climate Warming—Taking Xinjiang Glaciated Region as Example显示文摘The studies on prediction of climate in Xinjiang almost show that the precipitation would increase in the coming 50 years, although there were surely some uncertainties in precipitation predictions. On the basis of the structure of glacier system and nature of equilibrium line altitude at steady state (ELA0), a functional model of the glacier system responding to climate changes was established, and itsimultaneously involved the rising of summer mean temperature and increasing of mean precipitation. The results from the functional model under the climatic scenarios with temperature increasing rates of 0.01, 0.03 and 0.05 K/year indicated that the precipitation increasing would play an evident role in glacier system responding to climate change: if temperature become 1℃ higher, the precipitation would be increased by 10 %, which can slow down the glaciers retreating rate in the area by 4 %, accelerate runoff increasing rate by 8 % and depress the ELA0rising gradient by 24 m in northern Xinjiang glacier system where semi-continental glaciers dominate, while it has corresponding values of only 1 %, 5 % and 18m respectively in southern Xinjiang glacier system, where extremely continental glaciers dominate.WANG Xin XIE Zichu LIU Shiyin TAO Jianjun HAN Yongshun YANG Yuelong 2005Journal of Mountain Science2005,2,4:3

18Carboniferous Highly Fractionated I-type Granites from the Kalamaili Fault Zone, Eastern Xinjiang, NW China: Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications显示文摘Carboniferous magmatism is one of the most important tectonothermal events in the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB). However, the final closure time of the Kalamaili Ocean between East Junggar and Harlik Mountain is still debated. Early Carboniferous(332 Ma) and late Carboniferous(307-298 Ma) granitic magmatism from Kalamaili fault zone have been recognized by LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating. They are both metaluminous highly fractionated I-type and belong to the high-K calc-alkaline. The granitoids for early Carboniferous have zircon εHf(t) values of-5.1 to +8.5 with Hf model ages(TDM2) of 1.78-0.83 Ga, suggesting a mixed magma source of juvenile material with old continental crust. Furthermore, those for late Carboniferous have much younger heterogeneous zircon εHf(t) values(+5.1 to +13.6) with Hf model ages(TDM2=1.03-0.45 Ga) that are also indicative of juvenile components with a small involvement of old continental crust. Based on whole-rock geochemical and zircon isotopic features, these high-K granitoids were derived from melting of heterogeneous crustal sources or through mixing of old continental crust with juvenile components and minor AFC(assimilation and fractional crystallization). The juvenile components probably originated from underplated basaltic magmas in response to asthenospheric upwelling. These Carboniferous highly fractionated granites in the Kalamaili fault zone were probably emplaced in a post-collisional extensional setting and suggested vertical continental crustal growth in the southern CAOB, which is the same or like most granitoids in CAOB. This study provides new evidence for determining the post-accretionary evolution of the southern CAOB. The design of main magnet and the result of beam dynamics in the cyclotron will be described in this paper, including the choice of main parameters of magnet, the method of shimming isochronous field in the compact cyclotron and optimization of the magnetic field in central region.
