| 2 | Research on crystal growth and properties of a new nonlinear optical crystal:Bismuth borate BiB_3O_6显示文摘BiB3O6 (BIBO) single crystals with sizes of 44 mm × 24 mm × 10 mm and weight of 24.7 g have been successfully grown by the top-seeded method. In this note, the preparation of seed, the growth of crystal and some problems encountered are reported. The lattice parameters of BIBO are a =7.1203(7)A, b = 4.9948(7)A, c = 6.5077(7)A, β= 105.586(8) ', V=222.93(5)A3, which were determined by BRUKER-P4 four-circle diffractometer. BIBO is biaxial crystal and the relative orientation of (X, Y, Z) with regard to (a, b, c) is: X|| b, (Y, c) =47.2°, (Z, a) = 31.6°, determined by the X-ray analysis combined with polarized microscopy. The second-harmonic-generation (SHG) conversion efficiency of the sample for 1.064 μm light is up to 67.7%. We have also obtained the third harmonic generation (THG) of 1.064 μm, namely, 1.064 μm + 0.532 μn →0.355 μm. | 3 | NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF TURBULENT FREE SURFACE FLOW OVER OBSTRUCTION显示文摘A two-dimensional hybrid numerical model, FEM-LES-VOF, for free surface flows is proposed in this study, which is a combination of three-step Taylor-Galerkin finite element method, large eddy simulation with the Smagorinsky sub-grid model and Computational Lagrangian-Eulerian Advection Remap Volume of Fluid (CLEAR-VOF) method. The present FEM-LES-VOF model allows the fluid flows involving violent free surface and turbulence subject to complex boundary configuration to be simulated in a straightforward manner with unstructured grids in the context of finite element method. Numerical simulation of a benchmark problem of dam breaking is conducted to verify the present model. Comparisons with experimental data show that the proposed model works well and is capable of producing reliable predictions for free surface flows. Using the FEM-LES-VOF model, the free surface flow over a semi-circular obstruction is investigated. The simulation results are compared with available experimental and numerical results. Good performance of the FEM-LES-VOF model is demonstrated again. | 6 | Effects of Passes on Microstructure Evolution and Mechanical Properties of Mg–Gd–Y–Zn–Zr Alloy During Multidirectional Forging显示文摘The multidirectional forging(MDF) process was conducted at temperature of 753 K to optimize the mechanical properties of as-homogenized Mg–13 Gd–4 Y–2 Zn–0.6 Zr alloy containing long-period stacking ordered phase. The effects of MDF passes on microstructure evolution and mechanical properties were also investigated. The results show that both the volume fraction of dynamic recrystallization(DRX) grains and mechanical properties of the deformed alloy enhanced with MDF passes increasing till seven passes. The average grain size decreased from 76 to 2.24 lm after seven passes, while the average grain size increased to 7.12 lm after nine passes. The microstructure after seven passes demonstrated randomly oriented fine DRX grains and larger basal(0001)\11'20[ Schmid factor of 0.31. The superior mechanical properties at room temperature(RT) with ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of 416 MPa and fracture elongation of 4.12% can be obtained after seven passes. The mechanical properties at RT after nine passes are inferior to those after seven passes due to the coarsening of DRX grains, which can be ascribed to the static recovery resulting from the repeated heating at the interval of MDF passes. The elevated temperature mechanical properties of the deformed alloy after seven passes and nine passes were investigated. | 8 | Structural impairment patterns in peripapillary retinal fiber layer and retinal ganglion cell layer in mitochondrial optic neuropathies显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the structural injure patterns in peripapillary retinal fiber layer (pRNFL), retinal ganglion cell layer (RGCL) and their correlations to visual function in various mitochondrial optic neuropathies (MON) to offer help to their differential diagnosis.METHODS:Totally 32 MON patients (60 eyes) were recruited within 6mo after clinical onsets, including 20 Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) patients (37eyes), 12 ethambutol-induced optic neuropathy (EON)patients (23 eyes), and 41 age-gender matched healthy controls (HC, 82 eyes). All subjects had pRNFL and RGCL examinations with optic coherence tomography (OCT) and visual function tests.RESULTS:In the early stages of MON, the temporal pRNFL thickness decreased (66.09±22.57μm), but increased in other quadrants, compared to HC (76.95±14.81μm). The other quadrants remaining stable for LHON and EON patients besides the second hour sector of pRNFL thickness reduced and the temporal pRNFL decreased (56.78±15.87μm) for EON. Total macular thickness in MON reduced remarkably(279.25±18.90μm; P=0.015), which mainly occurring in the inner circle (3 mm diameter of circle) and the nasal temporal sectors in the outer circle (5.5 mm diameter of circle), in contrast to those in HC. RGCL thickness reduced in each sector of the macula (61.90±8.73μm; P≤0.001). It strongly showed the correlationship of best corrected visual acuity (R=0.50, P=0.0003) and visual field injury (R=0.54,P=0.0002) in MON patients.CONCLUSION:OCT is a potential tool for detecting structural alterations in the optic nerves of various MON. Firstly,the dynamic equations and kinematic equations of spacecraft are given. For the dynamic mode of spacecraft in faulty case,a fault diagnosis component is used for fault detection and estimation by using a nonlinear observer. According to the fault estimation information obtained during the fault diagnosis,the fault tolerant control scheme is developed by adopting the backstepping sliding mode control technique. Meanwhile,the Lyapunov theory is used to analyze the stability of the closed-loop attitude systems. | 13 | Associations between serum uric acid and hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer:A cohort study显示文摘BACKGROUND Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism.Previous studies have found that serum uric acid(SUA)levels are associated with the total cancer risk.However,due to the dual effect of uric acid on cancer,the relationship between the SUA levels and most specific-site cancer remains unclear.AIM To investigate the associations between the SUA levels and incidence of hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer.METHODS In this prospective cohort study,444462 participants free of cancer from the UK Biobank were included.The SUA levels were measured at baseline,and the incidence of hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer was determined by contacting the cancer registry.The hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)between the SUA levels and hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer were investigated using multiple adjusted Cox regression models adjusted for potential confounders.RESULTS In total,920 participants developed liver,gallbladder,biliary tract or pancreatic cancer during a median of 6.6 yrs of follow-up.We found that the HR of pancreatic cancer in the highest SUA group was 1.77(95%CI:1.29-2.42)compared with that in the lowest group.After stratifying by gender,we further found that SUA was associated with an increased risk of pancreatic cancer only among the females(highest quartile vs lowest quartile HR 2.04,95%CI:1.35-3.08).Among the males,the SUA levels were positively associated with the gallbladder cancer risk(highest quartile vs lowest quartile HR 3.09,95%CI:1.28-7.46),but a U-shaped association with the liver cancer risk was observed(P-nonlinear=0.03).CONCLUSION SUA is likely to have gender-specific effects on hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer.High SUA levels are a risk factor for pancreatic cancer in females and gallbladder cancer in males.A U-shaped association with the liver cancer risk was identified. | Chong-Fei Huang Jun-Jun Huang Ning-Ning Mi Yan-Yan Lin Qiang-Sheng He Ya-Wen Lu Ping Yue Bing Bai Jin-Duo Zhang Chao Zhang Teng Cai Wen-Kang Fu Long Gao Xun Li Jin-Qiu Yuan Wen-Bo Meng | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,44: | 2 |

| 18 | Effects of Heat-treatment Temperature on Eu^(3+) and Li^+ Co-doped ZnO Photoluminescence by Sol-gel Process显示文摘The photoluminescence(PL)characteristics of Eu^(3+) and Li^+ co-doped ZnO PL materials against heat-treatment temperature were discussed.The PL xerogel and powder samples were prepared by sol- gel process.The emission spectra of all samples showed two broad bands peaking at 590 nm and 620 nm under UV-Vis excitation.But the relative intensity of red PL(620 nm)was much greater than that of green PL(590 nm)of the same sample,that s to say,the red color was the main luminescence.With beat-treatment temperature increase,the two kinds of colors PL intensity decreased,and both the red and green PL intensity of the xerogel samples was much greater than those of powder samples respectively.The XRD patterns revealed that Eu^(3+) ions were successfully incorporated in ZnO crystals in xerogel samples.When heat-treatment temperature reached 350℃,the Eu^(3+) began to separate out of the ZnO crystals and Eu_2O_3 crystals came into being.When the powder sample was subjected to UV-Vis excitation,the energy transfered from the host ZnO emission to Eu^(3+) became weaker than the xerogel sample. | 卢忠远 HE Fangfang 许丕池 TENG Yuancheng WANG Bing | 2008 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2008,23,1: | 1 |
