1Rational design of phosphorus-doped cobalt sulfides electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution显示文摘Moderate anionic doping is an effective approach to improve the performance of electrocatalysts toward hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)since it can adjust the electronic structure,activesite,and phase.The reported studies mainly focus on designing P doped C0S2,while otherphases of cobalt sulfide,such as Co1-xS and Co9S8 doped with P are rarely investigated for HER electrocatalysts.Herein,various cobalt sulfides(including CoSg/Co1-xS,Co1-xS,and Co9S8)doped with P are anchored on carbon cloth through a facile hydrothermal method.Among tested electrocatalysts,P doped Co1-xS exhibits excellent electrocatalytic performance with an overpotential of 110 and 165 mV(vs.RHE)for currentdensities of 10 and 100 mA·cm^-2,respectively.Density functional theory calculations reveal that P doped Co1-xS possesses a smaller bandgapand more optimal hydrogen adsorption sites than pristine Co1-xS.This work initially investigates various cobalt sulfides doped with P and furthergets in sight into the activity improvement mechanism of P dopi ng,which could guide the desig n of earth-abunda nt HER electrocatalysts for the'hydrogen economy'.Guoxing Qu Tianli Wu Yanan Yu Zekang Wang Yang Zhou Zhendong Tang Qin Yue 2019Nano Research2019,12,12:5
2Subwavelength imaging and detection using adjustable and movable droplet microlenses显示文摘We developed adjustable and movable droplet microlenses consisting of a liquid with a high refractive index.The microlenses were prepared via ultrasonic shaking in deionized water,and the diameter of the microlenses ranged from 1 to 50μm.By stretching the microlenses,the focal length can be adjusted from 13 to 25μm.With the assistance of an optical tweezer,controllable assembly and movement of microlens arrays were also realized.The results showed that an imaging system combined with droplet microlenses could image 80 nm beads under white light illumination.Using the droplet microlenses,fluorescence emission at 550 nm from Cd Se@Zn S quantum dots was efficiently excited and collected.Moreover,Raman scattering signals from a silicon wafer were enhanced by^19 times.The presented droplet microlenses may offer new opportunities for flexible liquid devices in subwavelength imaging and detection.XIXI CHEN TIANLI WU ZHIYONG GONG YUCHAO LI YAO ZHANG BAOJUN LI 2020Photonics Research2020,8,3:5
3Late Holocene hydroclimatic variations and possible forcing mechanisms over the eastern Central Asia显示文摘Hydroclimatic variations over the eastern Central Asia are highly sensitive to changes in hemispheric-scale atmospheric circulation systems. To fully understand the long-term variability and relationship between hydroclimate and atmospheric circulation system, we present a high-resolution lascustrine record of late Holocene hydroclimate from Lake Sayram, Central Tianshan Mountains, China, based on the total organic carbon, total nitrogen, and carbonate contents, carbon/nitrogen ratios, and grain size. Our results reveal four periods of substantially increased precipitation at the interval of 4000–3780, 3590–3210, 2800–2160, and 890–280 cal yr BP, and one period of slightly increased precipitation from 1700–1370 cal yr BP. These wetter periods broadly coincide with those identified in other records from the mid-latitude Westerlies-dominated eastern Central Asia, including the northern Tibetan Plateau. As such, a similar hydroclimatic pattern existed over this entire region during the late Holocene. Based on a close similarity of our record with reconstruction of North Atlantic Oscillation indices and solar irradiance, we propose that decreased solar irradiance and southern migration of the entire circum-North Atlantic circulation system, particularly the main pathway of the mid-latitude Westerlies, significantly influenced hydroclimate in eastern Central Asia during the late Holocene. 4CoB and BN composites enabling integrated adsorption/catalysis to polysulfides for inhibiting shuttle-effect in Li-S batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are hampered by the infamous shuttle effect and slow redox kinetics,resulting in rapid capacity decay.Herein,a bifunctional catalysis CoB/BN@rGO with integrated structure and synergy effect between adsorption and catalysis is proposed to solve the above problems.The integrated CoB and BN are simultaneously and uniformly introduced on the rGO substrate through a one-step calcination strategy,applied to modify the cathode side of PP separator.The transition metal borides can catalyze the conversion of lithium polysulfides(Li_(2)Sn,n≥4),whereas the bond of B-S is too weak to absorb LPS.Thus BN introduced can effectively restrict the diffusion of polysulfides via strong chemisorption with LiSnLi+…N,while the rGO substrate ensures smooth electron transfer for redox reaction.Therefore,through the integrated adsorption/catalysis,the shuttle effect is suppressed,the kinetics of redox reaction is enhanced,and the capacity decay is reduced.Using CoB/BN@rGO modified PP separator,the Li-S batteries with high initial capacity(1450 mAh g^(-1)at 0.35 mA cm^(-2))and long-cycle stability(700 cycles at 1.74 mA cm^(-2)with a decay rate of 0.032%per cycle)are achieved.This work provides a novel insight for the preparation of bifunctional catalysis with integrated structure for long-life Li-S batteries.Tianli Wu Ting Yang Jizong Zhang Xuewen Zheng Kunlin Liu Chengyang Wang Mingming Chen 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8:1

8Impacts of fire severity and post-fire reforestation on carbon pools in boreal larch forests in Northeast China显示文摘Aims Boreal larch(Larix gmelinii)forests in Northeast China have been widely disturbed since the 1987 conflagration;however,its long-term effects on the forest carbon(C)cycling have not been explored.The objective of this study thus was to quantify the effects of fire severity and post-fire reforestation on C pools and the changes of these forests.Methods Sixteen permanent plots have been set in two types of larch stands(L.gmelinii-grass,LG;and L.gmelinii-Rhododendron dahurica,LR)with three levels of fire severity(unburned,low-severity and high-severity but replanted),at 1987 burned sites in Daxing’anling,northeastern China,to repeatedly measure ecosystem C pools in 1998 and 2014.C components were partitioned into vegetation(foliage,branch,stem and roots),soil and detritus(standing and fallen woody debris and litter).The fire effects on post-fire C dynamics were examined by comparing the differences of C pools and changes between the two field investigations caused by fire severity.Important Findings During the study period,unburned mature stands were C sinks(105 g C m^(−2) year^(−1) for LG,and 190 g C m^(−2) year^(−1) for LR),whereas the low-severity stands were C-neutral(−4 and 15 g C m^(−2) year^(−1) for LG and LR,respectively).The high-severity burned but reforested stands were C sinks,among which,however,magnitudes(88 and 16 g C m^(−2) year^(−1) for LG and LR,respectively)were smaller than those of the two unburned stands.Detritus C pools decreased significantly(with a loss ranging from 26 to 38 g C m^(−2) year^(−1))in the burned stands during recent restoration.Soil organic C pools increased slightly in the unmanaged stands(unburned and lowseverity,with accumulation rates ranging from 4 to 35 g C m^(−2) year^(−1)),but decreased for the high-severity replanted stands(loss rates of 28 and 36 g C m^(−2) year^(−1) for LG and LR,respectively).These results indicate that fire severity has a dynamic post-fire effect on both C pools and distributions of the boreal larch forests,and that effective reforestation practice accelerates forest C sequestration.Xueyang Hu Jianxiao Zhu Chuankuan Wang Tianli Zheng Qiqian Wu Hui Yao Jingyun Fang 2016Journal of Plant Ecology2016,9,1:1

10LiPAA with Short-chain Anion Facilitating Li_(2)S_(x)(x≤4)Reduction in Lean-electrolyte Lithium–sulfur Battery显示文摘Lean electrolyte usage in lithium–sulfur battery(LSB)meets the demand of the high energy density.However,lean condition makes the electrolyte-related interface discrete,leading to retardation of ion transfer that depends on interfaces.Consequently,electrochemical reactions face restraint.Herein,lithium polyacrylate acid(LiPAA)with short-chain anions(molecular weight of 2000)is introduced into the cathode.Because of the polysulfide(PS)-philic instinct of the short-chain PAA anions,short-chain PS is captured inside of the cathode.In addition,LiPAA supplies Li^(+)to the short-chain PS captured.The strong interaction between Li_(2)S_(4)and LiPAA effectively decreases Li_(2)S_(4)migration to the anode during discharging.In a sense,the ion mass transfer pattern is thus changed comparing to traditional long-way mode between cathode and anode.Galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)proves that the interfacial reaction resistance is greatly decreased in the region where Li_(2)S_(x)(x≤4)reduction contributes most.In the same time,the reversibility of electrochemical reduction/oxidation is improved.Owing to the accelerated Li_(2)S_(x)(x≤4)reduction,Li implanting of only 0.3 wt.%plus O introduction up to 1.4 wt.%enables the LSB perform well even with 1/4 of regular electrolyte dosage(5μL mg^(-1))and high-sulfur loading(4.2 mg cm^(-2)),increasing its rate capacity C_(0.8/0.5)from 52.6%(without the LiPAA)to 92.3%(with the LiP AA)as well as a capacity of 518.7 mAh g^(-1)after 400 cycles at 0.8 mA cm^(-2).Jizong Zhang Mingming Chen Yu Si Jian Guo Tianli Wu Chengyang Wang Xiaolei Wang 2022Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,3:0
11Lipid droplets as endogenous intracellular microlenses显示文摘Using a single biological element as a photonic component with well-defined features has become a new intriguing paradigm in biophotonics.Here we show that endogenous lipid droplets in the mature adipose cells can behave as fully biocompatible microlenses to strengthen the ability of microscopic imaging as well as detecting intra-and extracellular signals.By the assistance of biolenses made of the lipid droplets,enhanced fluorescence imaging of cytoskeleton,lysosomes,and adenoviruses has been achieved.At the same time,we demonstrated that the required excitation power can be reduced by up to 73%.The lipidic microlenses are finely manipulated by optical tweezers in order to address targets and perform their real-time imaging inside the cells.An efficient detecting of fluorescence signal of cancer cells in extracellular fluid was accomplished due to the focusing effect of incident light by the lipid droplets.The lipid droplets acting as endogenous intracellular microlenses open the intriguing route for a multifunctional biocompatible optics tool for biosensing,endoscopic imaging,and single-cell diagnosis.Xixi Chen Tianli Wu Zhiyong Gong Jinghui Guo Xiaoshuai Liu Yao Zhang Yuchao Li Pietro Ferraro Baojun Li 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,12:0
12Adenosine cyclic phosphate with ultrasonic-assisted pectinase extraction alleviated allergic reactions in RBL-2H3 through inhibiting the influx of intracellular Ca^(2+)显示文摘Jujube contains abundant cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)and the ultrasonic-assisted pectinase extraction(UAPE)conditions for obtaining the maximum cAMP yield from jujube were optimized.Orthogonal array design was applied to evaluate the effects of 4 variables by UAPE on cAMP yield.The results showed that the optimal cAMP yield(783.0μg/g)was derived at ratio of liquid to solid 5 mL/g,ratio of pectinase to raw material 1.5%,time 60 min and temperature 40℃.Moreover,the effect of cAMP on the anti-allergic function of action induced by immunoglobulin E(IgE)and its meschanism was investigated through establishing the sensitized cell model in rat basophilic leukemia(RBL-2 H3)cells using dinitrophenylated(DNP)-bovine serum albumin(BSA)-IgE.The results showed that cAMP interfered with sensitized cells,effectively inhibited the occurrence of basophil degranulation in dose dependence,and significantly reduced the activity ofβ-hexosamindase(β-hex),at the optimal concentration of 50μg/mL.The level of anti-inflammatory factor interleukin-10(IL-10)was promoted and the content of pro-inflammatory factor tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)was suppressed by cAMP.In addition,influx of intracellular Ca^(2+) was repressed effectively.Our results demonstrate that jujube cAMP regulated the cytokine balance in the allergy pathway through blocking the influx of extracellular Ca^(2+),with the prevention of allergy symptoms.Qiao Bai Xiaoping Feng Yu Wang Chunyu Wu Ye Liu Jiao Sun Tianli Yue Fangyu Long 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,3:0
