1Antidepressant-Like Action of Single Facial Injection of Botulinum Neurotoxin A is Associated with Augmented 5-HT Levels and BDNF/ERK/CREB Pathways in Mouse Brain显示文摘The present study was designed to examine the therapeutic effects of Botulinum neurotoxin A(BoNT/A)on depression-like behaviors in mice and to explore the potential mechanisms.These results revealed that a single facial injection of BoNT/A induced a rapid and prolonged improvement of depression-like behaviors in naive and space-restriction-stressed(SRS)mice,reflected by a decreased duration of immobility in behavioral despair tests.BoNT/A significantly increased the 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)levels in several brain regions,including the hippocampus and hypothalamus,in SRS mice.BoNT/A increased the expression of the N-methyl-Daspartate receptor subunits NR1 and NR2 B in the hippocampus,which were significantly decreased in SRS mice.Furthermore,BoNT/A significantly increased the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)in the hippocampus,hypothalamus,prefrontal cortex,and amygdala,which were decreased in SRS mice.Finally,BoNT/A transiently increased the levels of phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase(p-ERK)and cAMPresponse element binding protein(p-CREB),which were suppressed in the hippocampus of SRS mice.Collectively,these results demonstrated that BoNT/A treatment has antidepressant-like activity in mice,and this is associated with increased 5-HT levels and the activation of BDNF/ERK/CREB pathways in the hippocampus,supporting further investigation of BoNT/A therapy in depression.Yang Li Jing Liu Xu Liu Cun-Jin Su Qi-Lin Zhang Zhi-Hong Wang Lei-Fang Cao Xue-Yan Guo Ya Huang Weifeng Luo Tong Liu 2019Neuroscience Bulletin2019,35,4:10
2Influence of particle composition on thorium scavenging in the marginal China seas显示文摘Thorium-234 and particle composition (organic matter, biogenic silica, carbonate and lithogenic component) were examined in the East China Sea (ECS) and the northern South China Sea (NSCS) in order to constrain the particle types scavenging thorium isotopes. Good positive correlations be-tween particulate organic matter (POM) or carbonate and thorium-234 in suspended particulate matter (SPM) indicates that POM and carbonate are efficient to scavenge thorium-234. No relation-ship between biogenic silica and thorium-234 suggests that geochemical behavior of thorium-234 may be not influenced by biogenic silica. A simple model was used to evaluate the affinity of thorium-234 to different particle components. The results show that POM is the most efficient scavenger for thorium-234 in the ECS and the NSCS, followed by carbonate. The authors’ re-sults lend support to the utility of thorium-234 as a proxy of POC and carbonate in the upper layer. 3De-Noising Stochastic Noise in FOG Based on Second-Generation DB4 Wavelet and SURE-Threshold显示文摘An effective de-noising method for fiber optic gyroscopes (FOGs) is proposed. This method is based on second-generation Daubechies D4 (DB4) wavelet transform (WT) and level-dependent threshold estimator called Stein's unbiased risk estimator (SURE). The whole approach consists of three critical parts: wavelet decomposition module, parameters estimation module and SURE de-noising module. First, DB4 wavelet is selected as lifting base of the second-generation wavelet in the decomposition module. Second, in the parameters estimation module, maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) is used for stochastic noise parameters estimation. Third, combined with soft threshold de-noising technique, the SURE de-noising module is designed. For comparison, both the traditional universal threshold wavelet and the second-generation Harr wavelet method are also investigated. The experiment results show that the computation cost is 40% less than that of the traditional wavelet method. 4High Efficient Enrichment and Activated Dissolution of Refractory Low Grade Rh-containing Material显示文摘Aiming to the low-grade rhodium-containing waste materials, a new process was proposed to enrich and activate rhodium by smelting using iron oxide as a trapping agent and activator. A rhodium concentrate was obtained by the separation of base metals and precious metals. The concentrate was reacted with dilute aqua regia to obtain rhodium solution. The factors influencing the enrichment and activation effects were discussed in this paper. The results showed that the dissolution rate is greater than 99% under the optimum conditions. In this process, the activation of rhodium was finished in the enrichment process. 5Accumulation of freshwater in the permanent ice zone of the Canada Basin during summer 2008显示文摘A combination of δ^(18)O and salinity data was employed to explore the freshwater balance in the Canada Basin in summer 2008.The Arctic river water and Pacific river water were quantitatively distinguished by using different saline end-members.The fractions of total river water,including the Arctic and Pacific river water,were high in the upper 50 m and decreased with depth as well as increasing latitude.In contrast,the fraction of Pacific river water increased gradually with depth but decreased toward north.The inventory of total river water in the Canada Basin was higher than other arctic seas,indicating that Canada Basin was a main storage region for river water in the Arctic Ocean.The fraction of Arctic river water was higher than Pacific river water in the upper 50 m while the opposite was true below 50 m.As a result,the inventories of Pacific river water were higher than those of Arctic river water,demonstrating that the Pacific inflow through the Bering Strait is the main source of freshwater in the Canada Basin.Both the river water and sea-ice melted water in the permanent ice zone were more abundant than those in the region with sea-ice just melted.The fractions of total river water,Arctic river water,Pacific river water increased northward to the north of 82°N,indicating an additional source of river water in the permanent ice zone of the northern Canada Basin.A possible reason for the extra river water in the permanent ice zone is the lateral advection of shelf waters by the Trans-Polar Drift.The penetration depth of sea-ice melted waters was less than 30 m in the southern Canada Basin,while it extended to 125 m in the northern Canada Basin.The inventory of seaice melted water suggested that sea-ice melted waters were also accumulated in the permanent ice zone,attributing to the trap of earlier melted waters in the permanent ice zone via the Beaufort Gyre.TONG Jinlu CHEN Min1 YANG Weifeng ZHANG Run PAN Hong ZHENG Minfang QIU Yusheng HU Wangjiang ZENG Jian 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,8:1

7腹腔化疗或联合其他方法综合治疗晚期原发性肝癌72例的疗效观察(英文)显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the effect of intraperitoneal chemotherapy or in combination with other therapies in pa- tients with advanced primary liver cancer. Methods: 72 patients with advanced primary liver cancer with no indication for surgery received intraperitoneal chemotherapy in combination with other therapies including transcatheter arterial chemoem- bolization (TACE), radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA), percutaneous ethanol injection therapy (PEIT) and radiotherapy. Of them, 29 cases were complicated with hilar or retroperitoneal multiple lymph node metastases, 14 with portal vein em- bolus, 15 with intraperitoneal and diaphragmatic metastases, 6 with chylous ascites, one with cancerous ascites, and 7 with suspected cancerous ascites (referring to large amounts of ascites without hypoproteinemia while exfoliative cytology of the ascites was positive). The mean maximum tumor size was 8.2 cm in diameter. Liver function at the initial treatment was Child A in 53 cases, and Child B in 19 cases. Intraperitoneal chemotherapy was performed in all these patients. The intraperitoneal chemotherapy protocols included: 5-FU 0.5-0.75 g/d for 10-15 consecutive days, with a total dosage of 5-12.5 g, and at the last day of chemotherapy 10 mg mitomycin (MMC) or 100 mg carboplatin was injected. For 7 cases of cholangiocarcinoma, Gemzar 800-1000 mg was administered additionally. A majority of all these patients received another one or two therapy methods followed by intraperitoneal chemotherapy. TACE was performed in the patients with multiple tumors or nodule more than 5 cm in diameter in the liver, RFA or PEIT with nodule fewer than 4 in number and 5 cm or less than 5 cm in diameter and radiotherapy, only for metastases, with metastatic lymph nodes, localized metastasis within the abdominal cavity or portal vein embolus. Interval time between two methods was one month or so. Two months after the sequential therapy, repeated treatment would be given if general medical condition and liver function were perfect at that time. Results: The median sur- vival time of the group was 13.97 ± 6.27 months. The 1- and 2-year survival rates were 59.7% and 30.6% respectively. The mean survival time of the patients with liver function Child A was 15.91 ± 5.49 months, and that of the patients with Child B was 8.55 ± 5.09 months. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Intraperitoneal chemotherapy or in combination with other therapies in patients with advanced primary liver cancer with metastases to abdominal cavity is an effective method. 8Adsorption behavior of activated carbon for the elimination of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil显示文摘Zearalenone is a mycotoxin produced by Fusarium species.It frequently contaminates cereals used for foods or animal feeds,especially deposited in crude corn oil.Certain amounts of zearalenone can be removed during refining processes.In this study,we studied the influence of activated carbon and six industial absorbents(zeolite,diatomite,attapulgite,perlite,montmorillonite and activated clay)on the elimination of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil and explored the absorption mechanism of activated carbon.Results showed that activated carbon had an excellent adsorption capacity of zearalenone compared with the other six industrial adsorbents.For activated carbon,a high removal rate of zearalenone(exceeding 83%)from heavily zearalenone-polluted corn oil was achieved and the removal rate of zearalenone was kept above 60%after five regeneration cycles.The research on the adsorption mechanism of activated carbon showed that Freundlich adsorption isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model could well described the adsorption process.The thermodynamic study demonstrated that adsorption process was spontaneous and exothermic.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy further revealed that activated carbon was effectively combined with zearalenone viaπ-πinteraction.Thus,activated carbon is an efficient and suitable adsorbent to control the levels of zearalenone during bleaching process of corn oil.This study not only proposed a systematic research scheme for the mechanism study of activated carbon for the elimination of zearalenone in corn oil,but also provided the scientific basis for developing effective methods to eliminate zearalenone in refined vegetable oils.Yuyuan Hu Chuanguo Ma Weifeng Huang Shujing Guo Tong Wang Jun Liu 2023Grain & Oil Science and Technology2023,6,1:1

12Electrolyte induced synergistic construction of cathode electrolyte interphase and capture of reactive free radicals for safer high energy density lithium-ion battery显示文摘As the energy density of battery increases rapidly,lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are facing serious safety issue with thermal runaway,which largely limits the large-scale applications of high-energy-density LIBs.It is generally agreed that the chemical crosstalk between the cathode and anode leads to thermal runaway of LIBs.Herein,a multifunctional high safety electrolyte is designed with synergistic construction of cathode electrolyte interphase and capture of reactive free radicals to limit the intrinsic pathway of thermal runaway.The cathode electrolyte interphase not only resists the gas attack from the anode but suppresses the parasitic side reactions induced by electrolyte.And the function of free radical capture has the ability of reducing heat release from thermal runaway of battery.The dual strategy improves the intrinsic safety of battery prominently that the triggering temperature of thermal runaway is increased by 24.4℃and the maximum temperature is reduced by 177.7℃.Simultaneously,the thermal runaway propagation in module can be self-quenched.Moreover,the electrolyte design balances the trade-off of electrochemical and safety performance of high-energy batteries.The capacity retention of LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)|graphite pouch cell has been significantly increased from 53.85%to 97.05%with higher coulombic efficiency of 99.94%at operating voltage extended up to 4.5 V for 200 cycles.Therefore,this work suggests a feasible strategy to mitigate the safety risk of high-energy-density LIBs without sacrificing electrochemical performances.Mengfei Ding Xuning Feng Yong Peng Jing Jing Tong Bowen Hou Yalan Xing Weifeng Zhang Li Wang Yu Wu Jiabin Lv Chunyan Luo Dejun Xiong Shichao Zhang Minggao Ouyang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,12:0
13Improving antibody affinity through in vitro mutagenesis in complementarity determining regions显示文摘High-affinity antibodies are widely used in diagnostics and for the treatment of human diseases.However,most antibodies are isolated from semi-synthetic libraries by phage display and do not possess in vivo affinity maturation,which is triggered by antigen immunization.It is therefore necessary to engineer the affinity of these antibodies by way of in vitro assaying.In this study,we optimized the affinity of two human monoclonal antibodies which were isolated by phage display in a previous related study.For the 42A1 antibody,which targets the liver cancer antigen glypican-3,the variant T57H in the second complementarity-determining region of the heavy chain(CDR-H2)exhibited a 2.6-fold improvement in affinity,as well as enhanced cell-binding activity.For the I4A3 antibody to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2,beneficial single mutations in CDR-H2 and CDR-H3 were randomly combined to select the best synergistic mutations.Among these,the mutation S53P-S98T improved binding affinity(about 3.7 fold)and the neutralizing activity(about 12 fold)compared to the parent antibody.Taken together,single mutations of key residues in antibody CDRs were enough to increase binding affinity with improved antibody functions.The mutagenic combination of key residues in different CDRs creates additive enhancements.Therefore,this study provides a safe and effective in vitro strategy for optimizing antibody affinity.Wei Ye Xiaoyu Liu Ruiting He Liming Gou Ming Lu Gang Yang Jiaqi Wen Xufei Wang Fang Liu Sujuan Ma Weifeng Qian Shaochang Jia Tong Ding Luan Sun Wei Gao 2022The Journal of Biomedical Research2022,36,3:0
14Tuning bandstructure of folded MoS_(2) through fluid dynamics显示文摘The variation of interlayer coupling can greatly affect the bandstructure of few layered transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),for instance,transition of indirect-to-direct bandgap and vice versa,which is correlated with the charge carrier and optical density.However,methods that can modulate the coupling strength in a controllable way are still lacking.Here,we report a fluidic dynamic strategy to tune the interlayer coupling of folded bi-layer MoS_(2).By controlling the flow direction and particle size of the fluid,mono-layer MoS_(2)can be folded into bi-layer with a controlled folding direction for designated twist angles as well as tunable interlayer coupling.Compared with normally folded bi-layer MoS_(2),the photoluminescence(PL)peak of the direct-bandgap transition for folded bi-layer MoS_(2)by fluid flow is weakened accompanied with the re-appearance of indirect-bandgap transition peak.Besides,the fluid flow creates a clear trajectory on the folded MoS_(2),exhibiting various degrees of interlayer coupling along it.Field-effect transistors(FETs)were further fabricated on tunably coupled folded-bi-layers,proving that the bandstructure and electrical property is strongly correlated with the degree of interlayer coupling.This fluidic dynamic strategy can be extended to other TMDs on any substrate,and together with its excellent capability in controlled interlayer coupling,it will provide a new way for the development of TMDs optoelectronics.Zihan Zhao Weifeng Zhang Yan Zhang He Hao Shishu Zhang Lianming Tong Banghua Peng Nan Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:0

16Application of Dopplerlet matching pursuit to estimate the range and speed of a moving vessel显示文摘This paper presents a new method to estimate the range and the speed of a moving vessel by the features of line spectrum. Dopplerlet matching pursuit are used to estimate range and speed. The line spectrums of moving vessel radiated-noises show some time-frequency features. The features of line spectrum reflect the variation of moving state of the vessel. The computer simulation shows the method is practicable and effective. 17Research on Experimental and Application for the High Efficient Enrichment of the Low-grade Precious Metal Materials显示文摘On the basis of reviewing the progress in the high efficient enrichment from secondary resources of low grade precious metals at home and abroad, a process route of the high efficient enrichment precious metals from secondary resources of low-grade metals by adding iron oxide as the trapping agent, reducing agent, additive, mixing uniformly and grinding, pelletizing, reduction, grinding and separation, and selectively acid leaching iron has been put forward in this paper. The experiments of reduction, grinding and separation, and selectively acid leaching iron were carried out mainly. Under the decided experiment parameters and conditions, iron generated during the reduction can trap precious metals during reduction, high active alloy powders were obtained from the reduced products by grinding and separation, the concentration of precious metals was obtained by acid leaching high active alloy powders. The better enrichment effect was obtained by adopting the technical route of processing. Other low grade noble metal materials and enrichment ratio of precious metals from the materials to acid products was high through acid leaching. 19Liver kinase B1 attenuates liver ischemia/reperfusion injury via inhibiting the NLRP3 inflammasome显示文摘Liver ischemia/reperfusion injury(IRI),a serious inflammatory response driven by innate immunity,occurs in liver surgeries such as liver resection and liver transplantation,leading to liver dysfunction,liver failure,and even rejection after transplantation.Liver kinase B1(LKB1)plays a pivotal anti-inflammatory role in IRI.One of the most important factors involved in liver IRI is the aberrant activation of the nucleotide binding oligomerization domain like receptor(NLR)family,pyrin domain-containing 3(NLRP3)inflammasome in Kupffer cells.However,the mechanisms underlying the effect of LKB1 on the NLRP3 inflammasome in liver IRI remain elusive.In this study,we found that the expression of LKB1 was decreased in liver IRI,while the NLRP3 inflammasome level was increased as shown,as revealed by RT-qPCR and western blot analysis.Furthermore,upregulation of LKB1 abrogated the expression of the NLRP3 inflammasome,which improved liver function and liver pathology in the liver IRI model in vivo.In vitro,overexpression of LKB1 inhibited the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and nuclear factor-κB,while the inhibitory effect was reversed by silencing the expression of the forkhead box protein O1 in the RAW264.7 macrophage hypoxia/reoxygenation model.In conclusion,our results suggest that LKB1 exerts a protective effect against liver IRI by downregulating the NLRP3 inflammasome.Jiangwen Dai Qingsong Chen Weifeng Huang Kun Shi Yuke Zhang Tingting Li Tong Mou Zuotian Huang Zhongjun Wu 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5:0
20Successive treatment with naltrexone induces epithelial–mesenchymal transition and facilitates the malignant biological behaviors of bladder cancer cells显示文摘Naltrexone is widely used for alleviating opioid-related side effects in cancer patients.However,the effects of naltrexone on cancer progression are controversial in the literature.The present study was carried out to investigate the effects of successive treatment with clinically relevant doses of naltrexone on the malignant biological behaviors of bladder cancer cells.The human bladder cancer T24 cells and mouse bladder cancer MB49 cells were treated with naltrexone.Cell proliferation,migration,and invasion abilities were analyzed.Morphological changes of the cells were confirmed by F-actin immunofluorescence staining.Epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT)-related markers and transcriptional factors,as well as activation of the phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase(PI3K)/AKT signaling pathway,were analyzed.Results showed that,compared with the control group,successive treatment with naltrexone significantly promoted the proliferation and decreased the apoptosis of bladder cancer cells,together with increase in cell migration and invasion ability.Continuous treatment with naltrexone also significantly reduced the expression of epithelial markers(E-cadherin and cytokeratin 19),increased the expression of mesenchymal markers(N-cadherin and vimentin)and EMT-inducing transcription factors(Snail and Slug),and further shifted the morphological phenotype of bladder cancer cells to a mesenchymal phenotype.The PI3K/AKT signaling pathway was activated by successive treatment with naltrexone.Notably,incubation with the specific PI3K inhibitor LY294002 together with naltrexone reversed the naltrexone-induced EMT progression.In conclusion,successive treatment with naltrexone may be favorable for the progression of bladder tumors by activating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and inducing EMT.Long-term exposure to naltrexone should be used cautiously in patients with bladder cancer.Xiaoqiang Wang Ruirui Zhang Tong Wu Yumiao Shi Xiao Zhou Dan Tang Weifeng Yu Edmund Cheung So Xiaodan Wu Zhiying Pan Jie Tian 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,2:0
