3Evaluating effective swath width and droplet distribution of aerial spraying systems on M-18B and Thrush 510G airplanes显示文摘Aerial spraying plays an important role in promoting agricultural production and protecting the biological environment due to its flexibility,high effectiveness,and large operational area per unit of time.In order to evaluate the performance parameters of the spraying systems on two fixed wing airplanes M-18B and Thrush 510G,the effective swath width and uniformity of droplet deposition under headwind flight were tested while the planes operated at the altitudes of 5 m and 4 m.The results showed that although wind velocities varied from 0.9 m/s to 4.6 m/s,and the directions of the atomizer switched upward and downward in eight flights,the effective swath widths were kept approximately at 27 m and 15 m for the M-18B and Thrush 510G,respectively,and the latter was more stable.In addition,through analyzing the coefficients of variation(CVs)of droplet distribution,it was found that the CVs of the M-18B were 39.57%,33.54%,47.95%,and 59.04% at wind velocities of 0.9,1.1,1.4 and 4.6 m/s,respectively,gradually enhancing with the increasing of wind speed;the CVs of Thrush 510G were 79.12%,46.19%,14.90%,and 48.69% at wind velocities of 1.3,2.3,3.0 and 3.4 m/s,respectively,which displayed the irregularity maybe due to change of instantaneous wind direction.Moreover,in terms of the CVs and features of droplet distribution uniformity for both airplanes in the spray swath,choosing smaller CV(20%-45%)as the standard of estimation,it was found that the Thrush 510G had a better uniform droplet distribution than the M-18B.The results provide a research foundation for promoting the development of aerial spraying in China.Zhang Dongyan Chen Liping Zhang Ruirui Xu Gang Lan Yubin Wesley Clint Hoffmann Wang Xiu Xu Min 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,2:18
4Droplets movement and deposition of an eight-rotor agricultural UAV in downwash flow field显示文摘The movement and deposition of the droplets sprayed by agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)are influenced by the complex downwash flow field of the rotors.Instead of conducting field experiment,a high speed particle image velocimetry(PIV)method was used to measure the movement and deposition of the droplets at different rotating speeds of rotors(1000-3000 r/min)or at different transverse injecting points(20-50 cm away from its nearby rotors)in the downwash flow field of an agricultural UAV with eight rotors and conical nozzles.The maximum speed and size of the high speed zone of the droplets were found greatly influenced by the downwash velocity.The initial spray angle of the nozzle declined with the increase of downwash flow speed.It was found that the downwash velocity could not only change the deposition zone of the droplets,but also influence their distribution.The increase of the downwash velocity would increase the deposition uniformity of the droplets.The nozzle position in the downwash flow field could also influence the deposition of the droplets.When the transverse distance between the nozzle and its nearby rotors increased,the relative deposition near the downwash flow of the rotors increased simultaneously.However,the distance between the deposition peak and the nozzle stayed constant.The initial spray angle of the nozzle was not influenced by the transverse distance between the nozzle and its nearby rotors.The research results could provide a theoretical basis and reference for the optimization of the spray application of multi-rotor UAV to minimize droplets deposition uncertainty.Tang Qing Zhang Ruirui Chen Liping Xu Min Yi Tongchuan Zhang Bin 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,3:13
5A survey on numerical simulations of drag and heat reduction mechanism in supersonic/hypersonic flows显示文摘Along with the survey on experimental investigations drawing attention to the drag and heat reduction mechanism, the authors simultaneously focus on the recent advances of numerical simulations on the schemes applied to supersonic/hypersonic vehicles. The CFD study has evolved as an irreplaceable method in scheme evaluation and aircraft optimization. Similar to our previous experimental survey, the advances in drag and heat reduction schemes are reviewed by similar kinds of mechanism in this article, namely the forward-facing cavity, the opposing jet, the aerospike, the energy deposition and their combinational configurations. This review article puts an emphatic eye on the flow conditions, numerical methods, novel schemes and analytical conclusions given in the simulations. 6The synthesis of 6-(tert-butyl)-8-fluoro-2,3-dimethylquinoline carbonate derivatives and their antifungal activity against Pyricularia oryzae显示文摘A series of novel 6-(/er/-butyl)-8-fluoro-2,3- dimethylquinoline carbonate derivatives were designed and synthesized. Bioassay results showed that some of them exhibited good activity against Pyricularia oryzae (P. oryzae). It was found that the compound 5q (benzyl (6-(tert-butyl)-8-fluoro-2,3-dimethylquinolin-4-yl) carbonate) possessed good activity against P. oryzae whatever protective activity (10 mg·L^-1) or curative activity (25 mg·L^-1), which was better than that of control tebufloquin. 7Lingguizhugan Decoction, a Chinese herbal formula, improves insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: a translational approach显示文摘Lingguizhugan Decoction(LGZG)has been investigated in basic studies,with satisfactory effects on insulin resistance in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).This translational approach aimed to explore the effect and underlying mechanism of LGZG in clinical setting.A randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled trial was performed.A total of 243 eligible participants with NAFLD were equally allocated to receive LGZG(two groups:standard dose and low dose)or placebo for 12 weeks on the basis of lifestyle modifications.The primary efficacy variable was homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR).Analyses were performed in two populations in accordance with body mass index(BMI;overweight/obese,BMI 24 kg/m^(2);lean,BMI<24 kg/m^(2)).For overweight/obese participants,low-dose LGZG significantly decreased their HOMA-IR level compared with placebo(0.19(1.47)versus 0.08(1.99),P=0.038).For lean subjects,neither dose of LGZG showed a superior effect compared with placebo.Methylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing and real-time qPCR found that the DNA N6-methyladenine modification levels of protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 3A(PPP1R3A)and autophagy related 3(ATG3)significantly increased after LGZG intervention in overweight/obese population.Low-dose LGZG effectively improved insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with NAFLD.The underlying mechanism may be related to the regulation of DNA N6-methyladenine modification of PPP1R3A and ATG3.Lean subjects may not be a targeted population for LGZG.Liang Dai Jingjuan Xu Baocheng Liu Yanqi Dang Ruirui Wang Lijie Zhuang Dong Li Lulu Jiao Jianying Wang Lei Zhang Linda LDZhong Wenjun Zhou Guang Ji 2022Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,5:7
8The involvement of wheat U-box E3 ubiquitin ligase TaPUB1 in salt stress tolerance显示文摘U-box E3 ubiquitin ligases play important roles in the ubiquitin/26 S proteasome machinery and in abiotic stress responses. Ta PUB1-overexpressing wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) were generated to evaluate its function in salt tolerance. These plants had more salt stress tolerance during seedling and flowering stages, whereas the Ta PUB1-RNA interference(RNAi)-mediated knock-down transgenic wheat showed more salt stress sensitivity than the wild type(WT). Ta PUB1 overexpression upregulated the expression of genes related to ion channels and increased the net root Na+efflux, but decreased the net K+efflux and H+influx, thereby maintaining a low cytosolic Na+/K+ratio, compared with the WT. However,RNAi-mediated knock-down plants showed the opposite response to salt stress. Ta PUB1 could induce the expression of some genes that improved the antioxidant capacity of plants under salt stress. Ta PUB1 also interacted with Ta MP(Triticum aestivum α-mannosidase protein), a regulator playing an important role in salt response in yeast and in plants. Thus, low cytosolic Na+/K+ratios and better antioxidant enzyme activities could be maintained in wheat with overexpression of Ta PUB1 under salt stress. 10Redox dual-stimuli responsive drug delivery systems for improving tumor-targeting ability and reducing adverse side effects显示文摘Cancer is a big challenge that has plagued the human beings for ages and one of the most effective treatments is chemotherapy. However, the low tumor-targeting ability limits the wide clinical application of chemotherapy. The microenvironment plays a critical role in many aspects of tumor genesis. It generates the tumor vasculature and it is highly implicated in the progression to metastasis. To maintain a suitable environment for tumor progression, there are special microenvironment in tumor cell, such as low pH, high level of glutathione(GSH) and reactive oxygen species(ROS), and more special enzymes, which is different to normal cell. Microenvironment-targeted therapy strategy could create new opportunities for therapeutic targeting. Compared to other targeting strategies, microenvironment-targeted therapy strategy will control the drug release into tumor cells more accurately. Redox responsive drug delivery systems(DDSs) are developed based on the high level of GSH in tumor cells. However, there are also GSH in normal cell though its level is lower. In order to control the release of drugs more accurately and reduce side effects, other drug release stimuli have been introduced to redox responsive DDSs. Under the synergistic reaction of two stimuli, redox dual-stimuli responsive DDSs will control the release of drugs more accurately and quickly and even increase the accumulation. This review summarizes strategies of redox dual-stimuli responsive DDSs such as pH, light, enzyme, ROS, and magnetic guide to delivery chemotherapeutic agents more accurately, aiming at providing new ideas for further promoting the drug release,enhancing tumor-targeting and improving anticancer effects. 13Temporal–spatial distribution and diastereoisomer pattern of hexabromocyclododecane in the vicinity of a chemical plant显示文摘Hexabromocyclododecane(HBCD) is an effective brominated flame-retardant additive, which is mainly produced in the coastal area of China. This study collected soil samples from a HBCD production plant and its surrounding area in Weifang, Shandong Province, China, and analyzed the temporal–spatial distribution of HBCD and its diastereoisomers in soil. The analysis results showed that the concentration of HBCD in soil near the plant was much higher than normal values, with an annual average concentration reaching 5405 ng/g. Soils 1,2 and 4 km away from the plant were also analyzed, showing that the concentration of HBCD in soil decreased accordingly with the distance from the pollution sources. In order to investigate the effect of the season on HBCD content, the soil samples were collected in all four seasons of the year 2017–2018. According to variations in the wind direction, the concentration of HBCD in soil was also changed. The distribution trend showed that the concentration of HBCD in soil in the downwind direction of the prevailing wind was higher than that in the upwind direction. In addition, this work analyzed the distribution of HBCD in vertical soil sections. It was found that the concentration of HBCD decreased with depth in the soil vertical profile. 14Nest-like multilevel structured graphene oxide-on-polyacrylonitrile membranes for highly efficient filtration of ultrafine particles显示文摘Developing filtration media for particulate matter(PM)removal has been proven to be extremely challenging.Here,we report a facile and scalable strategy to fabricate a multi-level structured polyacrylonitrile/graphene oxide(PAN/GO)air filtration membrane to remove ultrafine particles in air by combining multi-jet electrospinning and physical bonding.Our approach allows the thin PAN nanofibers and two-dimensional GO nanosheets to form interpenetrating bonding structures on non-woven fabric and to assemble into stable filtration media.The resultant composite membranes can filtrate 300 nm particles with a high removal efficiency of 98.8%,a low pressure drop of 55 Pa,and a desirable quality factor of 0.34 Pa^(-1).This multi-level PAN/GO filter is expected to have wider applications not only for the ultrafine particle filtration and separation but also for the design of three-dimensional functional structures in the future.Jing Li Danzhen Zhang Xin Jiang Xuanliang Zhao Ruirui Hu Yujia Zhong Hongwei Zhu 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,3:4
15Energy-level dependent H_2_O_2 production on metal-free,carbon-content tunable carbon nitride photocatalysts显示文摘Light-driven production of H_2O_2 from water and molecular oxygen could be a promising way for obtaining both solar fuels and fundamental chemicals. During that process, the H_2O_2 yield is strongly dependent on the reaction pathway associated with two-electron reduction of dioxygen by the photo-generated electrons. Herein, we synthesized a series of metal-free, carbon-content tunable carbon nitride photocatalysts(named C_3N_4-Carbon) by a facile hydrothermal reaction and subsequent thermal treatment at appropriate temperatures. The energy levels of the C_3N_4-Carbon catalysts vary with the carbon doping level, which is conveniently tuned by changing the initial glucose concentration during the hydrothermal reaction. The surface carbon species evolve with the carbon content and the nitrogen atoms in the structure of carbon nitride are partially substituted by foreign carbon atoms based on XPS measurements. The optimal catalyst leads to the highest H_2O_2 yield of 1271 μmol L^(-1) in an acidic aqueous solution(pH 3) after a reaction period of 4 h, twice higher than the pristine C_3N_4. In addition, the largest formation rate constant and the smallest decomposition rate constant of H_2O_2 are obtained on the optimal one according to the kinetics analyses. The decomposition tests of H_2O_2 indicate that the formation rate could be a dominant factor impacting the H_2O_2 yield. The conduction band position of the optimal catalyst is positively shifted to 0.06 V versus RHE, which is more favorable to the reduction of dioxygen to H_2O_2(O2/H_2O_2 at 0.69 V versus RHE). 16TBM penetration rate prediction based on the long short-term memory neural network显示文摘Tunnel boring machines(TBMs)are widely used in tunnel engineering because of their safety and efficiency.The TBM penetration rate(PR)is crucial,as its real-time prediction can reflect the adaptation of a TBM under current geological conditions and assist the adjustment of operating parameters.In this study,deep learning technology is applied to TBM performance prediction,and a PR prediction model based on a long short-term memory(LSTM)neuron network is proposed.To verify the performance of the proposed model,the machine parameters,rock mass parameters,and geological survey data from the water conveyance tunnel of the Hangzhou Second Water Source project were collected to form a dataset.Furthermore,2313 excavation cycles were randomly composed of training datasets to train the LSTM-based model,and 257 excavation cycles were used as a testing dataset to test the performance.The root mean square error and the mean absolute error of the proposed model are 4.733 and 3.204,respectively.Compared with Recurrent neuron network(RNN)based model and traditional time-series prediction model autoregressive integrated moving average with explanation variables(ARIMAX),the overall performance on proposed model is better.Moreover,in the rapidly increasing period of the PR,the error of the LSTM-based model prediction curve is significantly smaller than those of the other two models.The prediction results indicate that the LSTM-based model proposed herein is relatively accurate,thereby providing guidance for the excavation process of TBMs and offering practical application value.Boyang Gao RuiRui Wang Chunjin Lin Xu Guo Bin Liu Wengang Zhang 2021Underground Space2021,6,6:4
17Application of zeolite adsorption and biological anaerobic digestion technology on hydrothermal liquefaction wastewater显示文摘The post-hydrothermal liquefaction wastewater(PHWW)was obtained from a conversion process of Spirulina sp.to bio-crude oil via hydrothermal liquefaction(HTL)technology that was rich in organic matter and toxicant.In this study,zeolite was applied to overcome the inhibitions and improve anaerobic digestion(AD)efficiency.Three zeolite adding ways were evaluated:PHWW pretreated with zeolite for 5 h with/without solid-liquid separation before AD process and zeolite added to PHWW AD process directly,in order to find the most ideal way to add zeolite.Results indicated that zeolite had a positive effect on the AD process of the PHWW.The gas potential of PHWW after adding zeolite,as well as the chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal rate,was much higher than those of its initial state.Especially when the PHWW was pretreated by zeolite for 5 h without separation,the biogas yield increased by 73.96%(6170μmol/g CODremoved)compared with the initial PHWW(3546.7μmol/g CODremoved).Li Ruirui Ran Xia Duan Na Yuanhui Zhang Liu Zhidan Lu Haifeng 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,1:3
18Porous Carbon Architecture Assembled by Cross-Linked Carbon Leaves with Implanted Atomic Cobalt for High-Performance Li-S Batteries显示文摘The practical application of lithium-sulfur batteries is severely hampered by the poor conductivity,polysulfide shuttle effect and sluggish reaction kinetics of sulfur cathodes.Herein,a hierarchi-cally porous three-dimension(3D)carbon architecture assembled by cross-linked carbon leaves with implanted atomic Co-N4 has been deli-cately developed as an advanced sulfur host through a SiO_(2)-mediated zeolitic imidazolate framework-L(ZIF-L)strategy.The unique 3D architectures not only provide a highly conductive network for fast electron transfer and buffer the volume change upon lithiation-delithi-ation process but also endow rich interface with full exposure of Co-N4 active sites to boost the lithium polysulfides adsorption and conversion.Owing to the accelerated kinetics and suppressed shuttle effect,the as-prepared sulfur cathode exhibits a superior electrochemical perfor-mance with a high reversible specific capacity of 695 mAh g^(−1) at 5 C and a low capacity fading rate of 0.053%per cycle over 500 cycles at 1 C.This work may provide a promising solution for the design of an advanced sulfur-based cathode toward high-performance Li-S batteries.Ruirui Wang Renbing Wu Chaofan Ding Ziliang Chen Hongbin Xu Yongfeng Liu Jichao Zhang Yuan Ha Ben Fei Hongge Pan 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,10:3

20Copy number alteration profiling facilitates differential diagnosis between ossifying fibroma and fibrous dysplasia of the jaws显示文摘Ossifying fibroma(OF)and fibrous dysplasia(FD)are two fibro-osseous lesions with overlapping clinicopathological features,making diagnosis challenging.In this study,we applied a whole-genome shallow sequencing approach to facilitate differential diagnosis via precise profiling of copy number alterations(CNAs)using minute amounts of DNA extracted from morphologically correlated microdissected tissue samples.Freshly frozen tissue specimens from OF(n=29)and FD(n=28)patients were obtained for analysis.Lesion fibrous tissues and surrounding normal tissues were obtained by laser capture microdissection(LCM),with~30–50 cells(5000–10000µm2)per sample.We found that the rate of recurrent CNAs in OF cases was much higher(44.8%,13 of 29)than that in FD cases(3.6%,1 of 28).Sixty-nine percent(9 of 13)of the CNA-containing OF cases involved segmental amplifications and deletions on Chrs 7 and 12.We also identified eight CNA-associated genes(HILPDA,CALD1,C1GALT1,MICALL2,PHF14,AIMP2,MDM2,and CDK4)with amplified expression,which was consistent with the copy number changes.We further confirmed a jaw lesion with a previous uncertain diagnosis due to its ambiguous morphological features and the absence of GNAS mutation as OF based on the typical Chr 12 amplification pattern in its CNA profile.Moreover,analysis of a set of longitudinal samples collected from an individual with a cellular lesion in suspicion of OF at the first surgery,recurrence and the latest malignant transformation revealed identical CNA patterns at the three time points,suggesting that copy number profiling can be used as an important tool to identify borderline lesions or lesions with malignant potential.Overall,CNA profiling of fibro-osseous lesions can greatly improve differential diagnosis between OF and FD and help predict disease progression.Ming Ma Lu Liu Ruirui Shi Jianyun Zhang Xiaotian Li Xuefen Li Jiaying Bai Jianbin Wang Yanyi Huang Tiejun Li 2021International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,2:3
