1A Novel Coronavirus Genome Identified in a Cluster of Pneumonia Cases--Wuhan,China 2019−2020显示文摘Emerging and re-emerging pathogens are great challenges to the public health(1).A cluster of pneumonia cases with an unknown cause occurred in Wuhan starting on December 21,2019.As of January 20,2020,a total of 201 cases of pneumonia in China have been confirmed.A team of professionals from the National Health Commission and China CDC conducted epidemiological and etiological investigations.On January 3,2020,the first complete genome of the novelβgenus coronaviruses(2019-nCoVs)was identified in samples of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)from a patient from Wuhan by scientists of the National Institute of Viral Disease Control and Prevention(IVDC)through a combination of Sanger sequencing,Illumina sequencing,and nanopore sequencing.Three distinct strains have been identified,the virus has been designated as 2019-nCoV,and the disease has been subsequently named novel coronavirus-infected pneumonia(NCIP).Wenjie Tan Xiang Zhao Xuejun Ma Wenling Wang Peihua Niu Wenbo Xu George F.Gao Guizhen Wu 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,4:95
2Rainfall interception by sand-stabilizing shrubs related to crown structure显示文摘On the edge of the Tengger Desert in northern China,revegetation has changed the landscape from moving dunes to stabilized dunes covered by shrubs,which further modifies the pattern of rainfall redistribution.To study rainfall interception loss by shrubs and its relationship to rainfall properties and crown structure,throughfalls passing through crowns of Artemisia ordosica Krash.and Caragana korshinskii Kom.were measured using nine PVC cups under the canopy of each of the two shrubs during 73 rain events over a three-year period,with total rainfall of 260.9 mm.Interception losses of gross rainfall by A.ordosica and C.korshinskii account for 15% and 27% of the total on a crown area basis,and 6% and 11% on a ground area basis,respectively.Individual throughfall(T) and interception(I) were significantly related to rainfall amount(Pg),duration(D),and intensity(R).Ratios of throughfall to rainfall(T/Pg) and interception to rainfall(I/Pg) were not only significantly related to Pg,D,and R,but also to shrub species,and interactions of species with crown volume(CV) and leaf area index(LAI).Under most rain events,interceptions by C.korshinskii with greater CV and LAI were significantly higher than those by A.ordosica,and more rainfall interception occurred at locations closer to the stems of the two shrubs.For C.korshinskii,I/Pg had a significant positive linear relation with CV and LAI,while T/Pg had a significant negative linear relation with them.CV has a greater influence on T/Pg and I/Pg than does LAI.Using a regression method,canopy water storage capacities are estimated to be 0.52 and 0.68 mm,and free throughfall coefficient to be 0.62 and 0.47 for A.ordosica and C.korshinskii,respectively.ZhiShan Zhang 1*,XinRong Li 1,XueJun Dong 2,XiaoHong Jia 1,MingZhu He 1,HuiJuan Tan 1 1.Shapotou Desert Research and Experiment Station,Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Lanzhou,Gansu 730000,China.2.Central Grasslands Research Extension Center,North Dakota State University,Streeter,ND 58483,USA. 2009Research in Cold and Arid Regions2009,1,2:9
3A Streptococcus suis serotype 2 caused streptococcal toxic shock syndrome(STSS) in a patient显示文摘Streptococcus suis(S.suis)is a Gram-positive,facultatively anaerobic coccus that has been implicated as the cause of a wide range of clinical disease syndromes in swine and other domestic animals.S.suis has also been implicated in disease in humans,especially among abattoir workers,swine and pork handlers.Here we report a case of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome(STSS)caused by S.suis in a 59-year-old man.Despite of intensive treatment,the patient died of shock with multiple organ failure 14 h after admission.One bacterial isolate obtained from blood culture was identified to the species level by biochemical tests and serological tests as S.suis serotype 2.Identification was confirmed by PCR amplification of genes encoding 16sRNA of S.suis and the capsule of S.suis serotype 2(cps 2J).Genes encoding virulence factors were also detected.An investigation to identify the source of S.suis revealed that several days before admission the affected man had been handling sick pigs or their meat.Transmission may occur through breaks in the skin of feet with tinea due to that no measures for personal protection was taken.This case should highten awareness of the potential for occupational exposure and human infection with S.suis.Yefei Zhu Zhongmin Tan Lingyang Zhu Hongxing Pan Xuejun Zhang Lei Xu Huimin Qian Ling Gu Xun Ye Chen Dong Changjun Bao Rongqiang Zhu Fengcai Zhu Hua Wang 2008Journal of Nanjing Medical University2008,22,5:3
4Near-field surface deformation during the April 20,2013,Ms7.0 Lushan earthquake measured by 1-Hz GNSS显示文摘The April 20,2013,Ms7.0 Lushan earthquake was successfully recorded by closely spaced Continuous Global Positioning System (CGPS) stations owned by the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China (CMONC).The 1-Hz GNSS data from eight CGPS stations,which are located between 30 km and 200 km from the hypocenter,were processed within quasi-real-time.The near-field surface deformation indicated the following characteristics:the near-field movements were limited to several centimeters;the peak of the deformation wave was significantly larger than the static permanent offset;at the beginning of the event,the north wall of the fault moved to the southeast as the south wall moved to the southwest;station SCTQ,which was the closest station to the hypocenter at 30 km,had the largest static permanent displacement of 2 cm;the peaks of the deformation waves were 1.5 cm,5 cm and 3 cm,to the east,the south and vertically upward,respectively;and the peaks of velocity and acceleration,derived from the deformation,were 3.4 cm/s and 5.3 cm/s2,respectively.Liu Gang Zhao Bin Zhang Rui Huang Yong Wang Jun Nie Zhaosheng Qiao Xuejun Tan Kai 2013Geodesy and Geodynamics2013,4,2:3
5Multiplicity of solutions to geophysical inversion reflected by rupture slip distribution of the 2015 Nepal earthquake显示文摘The equivalence of geophysical fields,the finiteness of measurements and the measurement errors make the result of geophysical inversion non-unique.For example,the measurements and inversion method used,the priori rupture model determined and the slip distribution smoothing factor selected will have significant influences on the earthquake rupture slip distribution.Using different data and methods,different authors have given different rupture slip distribution models of the 2015 Mw7.9 Nepal earthquake,with the maximum slip ranging from 3.0 m to 6.8 m.In this paper,geometry parameters of the single rectangular fault model in elastic half-space were inferred constraining with the Global Positioning System(GPS) and Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(InSAR) coseismic deformations and bounding the slip with approximate average value;and then,the single rectangular fault was divided into multiple sub-faults,and the final slip smoothing factor,the final slip distribution and the maximum slip were determined with the misfit-roughness tradeoff curve,the cross-validation sum of squares(CVSS) and the third-party observation data or indexes being comprehensively taken into account.The results show that,the rupture of the Nepal earthquake extended by over 100 km east by south.The maximum slip of the earthquake was about 6.5-6.7 m,and most of the slip is confined at depths of 8-20 km,consistent with the depth distribution of aftershocks.The method for reducing the multiplicity of solutions to rupture slip distribution in this paper was ever used in inversion of rupture slip distribution for the 2008 Wenchuan and 2013 Lushan earthquakes,and the third-party measurement-surface dislocation has very large effect on reducing the multiplicity of solutions to inversion of the Wenchuan earthquake.Other priori information or indicators,such as fault strike,dip,earthquake magnitude,seismic activity,Coulomb stress,and seismic period,can be used for beneficial validation of and comparison with inversion results.Kai Tan Caihong Zhang Bin Zhao Qi Wang Ruilin Du Rui Zhang Xuejun Qiao Yong Huang 2017Geodesy and Geodynamics2017,8,1:2
6Genomic Surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 Variants of Concern from Imported COVID-19 Cases-the Mainland of China,2021显示文摘Introduction:After the epidemic in Wuhan City was brought under control in 2020,local outbreaks of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)in the mainland of China were mainly due to imported COVID-19 cases.The ongoing evolution of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has continued to generate new variants.Some have been designated as variants of concern(VOCs)by the World Health Organization(WHO).To better assess the role of imported SARS-CoV-2 surveillance and the prevalence of VOCs in 2021,the genomic surveillance data of SARS-CoV-2 from imported COVID-19 cases of 2021 in the mainland of China were analyzed.Methods:The analyses included the number of sequence submissions,time of sequence deposition,and time of detection of the VOCs in order to determine the timeliness and sensitivity of the surveillance.The proportions of VOCs were analyzed and compared with data from the Global Initiative of Sharing All Influenza Data(GISAID).Results:A total of 3,355 sequences of imported cases were submitted from 29 provincial-level administrative divisions,with differences in the number of sequence submissions and median time of sequence deposition.A total of 2,388 sequences with more than 90%genomic coverage were used for lineage analysis.The epidemic trend from Alpha to Delta to Omicron in imported cases was consistent with that in the GISAID.In addition,VOCs from imported cases were usually identified after WHO designation and before causing local outbreaks.Conclusions:The global distribution of SARSCoV-2 VOCs changed rapidly in 2021.Robust genomic surveillance of the imported SARS-CoV-2 in the mainland of China is of great significance.Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),the etiological agent of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),is constantly mutating under the different circumstances of global transmission(1).The emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants may have potential adverse impacts on epidemic traits and severity.To some extent,it is also capable of escaping natural and vaccine-induced immunity(2–3).Some of them were designated as variants of concern(VOCs)by the World Health Organization(WHO)(4).Therefore,robust surveillance is essential to assess the evolution of viruses in real time.After the epidemic in Wuhan City was brought under control in 2020,several COVID-19 outbreaks in the mainland of China have been proven to relate to SARS-CoV-2 contaminated cold-chain products(5–7),while most were caused by transmission through imported cases on flights,at isolation facilities,or in designated hospitals(8–9).Therefore,genomic surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 from imported cases is of great significance for monitoring the risk of different variants that were imported into the mainland of China,assessing the risk of importation-associated domestic spread,and helping guide public health interventions.On March 17,2020,the China CDC released a notice and launched genomic surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 from imported COVID-19 cases nationwide.The laboratories of provincial CDCs were required to conduct SARS-CoV-2 whole-genome sequencing for samples from imported cases and submit the genomic sequences to the China CDC in time.This study includes the analysis of genomic surveillance data of imported SARS-CoV-2 cases of 2021 from the mainland of China.Yenan Feng Xiang Zhao Zhixiao Chen Kai Nie Zeyuan Yin Ying Xia Ji Wang Peihua Niu Ruhan A Lili Li Dayan Wang Wenjie Tan Xuejun Ma Shiwen Wang Huanyu Wang George F.Gao Cao Chen Wenbo Xu 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,31:1

8Optimization of digital multi-beamforming for space-based ADS-B using distributed cooperative coevolution with an adaptive grouping strategy显示文摘Space-based Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast(ADS-B)technology can eliminate the blind spots of terrestrial ADS-B systems because of its global coverage capability.However,the space-based ADS-B system faces new problems such as extremely low Signal-toNoise Ratio(SNR)and serious co-channel interference,which result in long update intervals.To minimize the position message update interval at an update probability of 95%with full coverage constraint,this paper presents an optimization model of digital multi-beamforming for space-based ADS-B.Then,a coevolution method DECCG_A&A is proposed to enhance the optimization efficiency by using an improved adaptive grouping strategy.The strategy is based on the locations of uncovered areas and the aircraft density under the coverage of each beam.Simulation results show that the update interval can be effectively controlled to be below 8 seconds compared with other existing methods,and DECCG_A&A is superior in convergence to the Genetic Algorithm(GA)as well as the coevolution algorithms using other grouping strategies.Overall,the proposed optimization model and method can significantly reduce the update interval,thus improving the surveillance performance of space-based ADS-B for air traffic control.Xueyuan LI Xuejun ZHANG Yuanhao TAN Jianxiang MA 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,10:1

12Surveillance and Analysis of SARS-CoV-2 Variant Importation—China,January–June 2022显示文摘Introduction:The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron variant is the dominant circulating strain worldwide.To assess the importation of SARS-CoV-2 variants in the mainland of China during the Omicron epidemic,the genomic surveillance data of SARS-CoV-2 from imported coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)cases in the mainland of China during the first half of 2022 were analyzed.Methods:Sequences submitted from January to July 2022,with a collection date before June 30,2022,were incorporated.The proportions of SARS-CoV-2 variants as well as the relationships between the origin and destination of each Omicron imported case were analyzed.Results:4,946 sequences of imported cases were submitted from 27 provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs),and the median submission interval was within 1 month after collection.In 3,851 Omicron sequences with good quality,1 recombinant(XU)and 4 subvariants under monitoring(BA.4,BA.5,BA.2.12.1,and BA.2.13)were recorded,and 3 of them(BA.4,BA.5,and BA.2.12.1)caused local transmissions in the mainland of China later than that recorded in the surveillance.Omicron subvariants dominated in the first half of 2022 and shifted from BA.1 to BA.2 then to BA.4 and BA.5.The percentage of BA.2 in the imported SARS-CoV-2 surveillance data was far higher than that in the Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza Data(GISAID).The imported cases from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region,China,accounted for 32.30%of Omicron cases sampled,and 98.71%of them were BA.2.Conclusions:The Omicron variant showed the intra-Omicron evolution in the first half of 2022,and all of the Omicron subvariants were introduced into the mainland of China multiple times from multiple different locations.Yenan Feng Xiang Zhao Zeyuan Yin Changcheng Wu Zhixiao Chen Kai Nie Ruhan A Lili Li Peihua Niu Ji Wang Yuchao Wu Shiwen Wang Dayan Wang Wenjie Tan Huanyu Wang Xuejun Ma George FGao Cao Chen Wenbo Xu 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,50:1
13Measuring ground deformations caused by 2015 Mw7.8 Nepal earthquake using high-rate GPS data显示文摘The April 25,2015 Mw7.8 Nepal earthquake was successfully recorded by Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC) and Nepal Geodetic Array(NGA).We processed the high-rate GPS data(1 Hz and 5 Hz) by using relative kinematic positioning and derived dynamic ground motions caused by this large earthquake.The dynamic displacements time series clearly indicated the displacement amplitude of each station was related to the rupture directivity.The stations which located in the direction of rupture propagation had larger displacement amplitudes than others.Also dynamic ground displacement exceeding 5 cm was detected by the GPS station that was 2000 km away from the epicenter.Permanent coseismic displacements were resolved from the near-field high-rate GPS stations with wavelet decomposition-reconstruction method and P-wave arrivals were also detected with S transform method.The results of this study can be used for earthquake rupture process and Earthquake Early Warning studies.Yong Huang Shaomin Yang Xuejun Qiao Mu Lin Bin Zhao Kai Tan 2017Geodesy and Geodynamics2017,8,4:1
14Methane conversion in the presence of oxygen under low-temperature radio frequency plasma显示文摘Methane conversion in the presence of oxygen under low-temperature radio frequency (RF) plasma was investigated.The experiment results indicated that the following four factors,i.e.,discharge voltage,discharge area,O2/CH4 molar ratio and total gas flowrate,affected remarkably the reaction performance.The optimum reaction conditions of methane conversion in the presence of O2 under RF plasma are as follows:discharge voltage 1050 V,discharge area 989.1mm 2,O2/CH4 molar ratio 1/10 and total gas flowrate 200 ml/min.A methane conversion of 91% could be reached under the optimum conditions.Oxygen is good for the breaking of C-H bonds and also acts as a sort of thinner.According to the low-temperature plasma characteristics,the macroscopic kinetics model of methane conversion in the presence of O2 under radio frequency plasma was studied.Jinhai Yuan Xuejun Zhong Shiyu Tan 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,6:1

16Distribution of aromatic amines,phenols,chlorobenzenes,and naphthalenes in the surface sediment of the Dianchi Lake,China显示文摘Organic pollutants are widespread environmental pollutants with high toxicity,persistence,and bioaccumulation.Our aim was to investigate the distribution of aromatic amines,phenols,chlorobenzenes,and naphthalenes in the surface sediment of the Dianchi Lake,China.Nineteen surface sediment samples were collected from the Dianchi Lake,and 40 types of organic pollutants were analyzed via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.The total organic pollutant concentrations in the surface sediment of the Dianchi Lake varied from 27.4 to 1.62×10^3 ng/g.The concentrations of phenols were much higher than those in other water bodies but still within a controllable range,whereas the concentrations of the other organic pollutant classes were similar or even lower.The detection ratio of 3-or 4-methylphenol was the highest(100.00%)among the pollutants.The average total organic pollutant concentrations decreased in the following order:Caohai(540 ng/g)>the middle of Waihai(488 ng/g)>the edge of Waihai(351 ng/g)>Haigeng Dam(90.4 ng/g).Pearson analysis showed a strong correlation among 1-methylnaphthalene,2-methylnaphthalene,1,3-dinitronaphthalene,and 1,4-dinitronaphthalene(P<0.01).Caohai,the north lakeshore of Waihai and the south of Waihai showed higher risk because of high concentration;meanwhile,1,4-dichlorobenzene,3-or 4-methylphenol and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene were mor e likely to cause risks.Xinyi Hu Ting Yang Chen Liu Jun Jin Bingli Gao Xuejun Wang Min Qi Baokai Wei Yuyu Zhan Tan Chen Hongtao Wang Yanting Liu Dongrui Bai Zhu Rao Nan Zhan 2020Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,4:1

18槲皮素对人肺癌细胞株A549化疗药物增敏作用的实验研究(英文)显示文摘Objective: The present study was designed to investigate whether quercetin exerts increasing chemosensitivity on human lung adenocarcinoma cells when quercetin combined with cisplatin (DDP) and vincristine (VCR) in vitro respectively and its possible antitumor mechanism. To provide experimental proof for clinical combination application. Methods: Using intermittent administration of high dose VCR, human lung adenocarcinoma sensitive cell line (A549/S) was induced to VCR-resistant human lung adenocarcinoma cell line (A549/VCR). MTT assay was adapted for examing the 50% inhibition (IC50) value of DDP and VCR on A549/S and A549/VCR when quercetin combined with DDP and VCR respectively. Results: IC50 of DDP on A549/S and A549/VCR was 10.18 and 12.35 mg/L, and the IC50 of VCR on the two cell lines was 1.21 and 12.77 mg/L, respectively. The resistance fold of A549/VCR on VCR and DDP was 10.55 and 1.21, respectively. When quercetin at concentration of 50, 100 and 200 μmol/L in combination with DDP and VCR respectively, the IC50 of DDP and VCR on A549/S and A549/VCR were obvious decreased (P < 0.05 - P < 0.01). 19Co-seismic deformation of the 2010 Mw6. 9 Yushu earthquake from InSAR images显示文摘Co-seismic ground-surface deformation of the Yushu earthquake on April 14,2010 is studied on the basis of interferometry principle by using InSAR images from ALOS PALSAR and ENVISAT ASAR pairs. The observed maximum line-of-sight displacement is 54 cm,which is equivalent to a sinistral strike slip of 180 cm on the surface. 20Effects of Soil Improver on Wheat in Saline-Alkali Lands in the Yellow River Delta显示文摘Field experiment carried out to test the effects of soil improver on wheat yield and soil physical-chemical properties. The results indicated that soil improver could optimize soil aggregates structure, decrease soil bulk density, soil pH and soil salt content, increase soil organic matter and 1 000-grain weight, thereby enhancing wheat yield. With the increase of soil improver application amount, soil physical-chemical properties became better and wheat yield increased. However, there was no significant difference in the treatments with the application amounts of 3%, 4% and 5%.
