A comparison of the Medieval Warm Period, Little Ice Age and 20th century warming simulated by the FGOALS climate system model显示文摘To compare differences among the Medieval Warm Period (MWP), Little Ice Age (LIA), and 20th century global warming (20CW), six sets of transient and equilibrium simulations were generated using the climate system model FGOALS_gl. This model was developed by the State Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The results indicate that MWP warming is evident on a global scale, except for at mid-latitudes of the North Pacific. However, the magnitude of the warming is weaker than that in the 20th century. The warming in the high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere is stronger than that in the Southern Hemisphere. The LIA cooling is also evident on a global scale, with a strong cooling over the high Eurasian continent, while the cooling center is over the Arctic domain. Both the MWP and the 20CW experiments exhibit the strongest warming anomalies in the middle troposphere around 200-300 hPa, but the cooling center of the LIA experiment is seen in the polar surface of the Northern Hemisphere. A comparison of model simulation against the reconstruction indicates that model's performance in simulating the surface air temperature changes during the warm periods is better than that during the cold periods. The consistencies between model and reconstruction in lower latitudes are better than those in high latitudes. Comparison of the inter-annual variability mode of East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) rainfall during the MWP, LIA and 20CW reveals a similar rainfall anomalies pattern. However, the time spectra of the principal component during the three typical periods of the last millennium are different, and the quasi-biannual oscillation is more evident during the two warm periods. At a centennial time scale, the external mode of the EASM variability driven by the changes of effective solar radiation is determined by the changes of large scale land-sea thermal contrast. The rainfall anomalies over the east of 110°E exhibit a meridional homogeneous change pattern, which is different from the meridional out-of-phase change of rainfall anomalies associated with the internal mode.ZHOU TianJun LI Bo MAN WenMin ZHANG LiXia ZHANG Jie 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,28:32
Theories on Formation of an Anomalous Anticyclone in Western North Pacific during El Nino:A Review显示文摘The western North Pacific anomalous anticyclone(WNPAC) is an important atmospheric circulation system that conveys El Ni?o impact on East Asian climate. In this review paper, various theories on the formation and maintenance of the WNPAC, including warm pool atmosphere–ocean interaction, Indian Ocean capacitor, a combination mode that emphasizes nonlinear interaction between ENSO and annual cycle, moist enthalpy advection/Rossby wave modulation, and central Pacific SST forcing, are discussed. It is concluded that local atmosphere–ocean interaction and moist enthalpy advection/Rossby wave modulation mechanisms are essential for the initial development and maintenance of the WNPAC during El Ni?o mature winter and subsequent spring. The Indian Ocean capacitor mechanism does not contribute to the earlier development but helps maintain the WNPAC in El Ni?o decaying summer. The cold SST anomaly in the western North Pacific, although damped in the summer, also plays a role. An interbasin atmosphere–ocean interaction across the Indo-Pacific warm pool emerges as a new mechanism in summer. In addition, the central Pacific cold SST anomaly may induce the WNPAC during rapid El Ni?o decaying/La Ni?a developing or La Ni?a persisting summer. The near-annual periods predicted by the combination mode theory are hardly detected from observations and thus do not contribute to the formation of the WNPAC. The tropical Atlantic may have a capacitor effect similar to the tropical Indian Ocean.Tim LI Bin WANG Bo WU Tianjun ZHOU Chih-Pei CHANG Renhe ZHANG 2017Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,6:23
Advances in studying interactions between aerosols and monsoon in China显示文摘Scientific issues relevant to interactions between aerosols and the Asian monsoon climate were discussed and evaluated at the 33 rd 'Forum of Science and Technology Frontiers' sponsored by the Department of Earth Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Major results are summarized in this paper. The East Asian monsoon directly affects aerosol transport and provides a favorable background circulation for the occurrence and development of persistent fog-haze weather. Spatial features of aerosol transport and distribution are also influenced by the East Asian monsoon on seasonal, inter-annual, and decadal scales. High moisture levels in monsoon regions also affect aerosol optical and radiative properties. Observation analyses indicate that cloud physical properties and precipitation are significantly affected by aerosols in China with aerosols likely suppressing local light and moderate rainfall, and intensifying heavy rainfall in southeast coastal regions. However, the detailed mechanisms behind this pattern still need further exploration. The decadal variation in the East Asian monsoon strongly affects aerosol concentrations and their spatial patterns. The weakening monsoon circulation in recent decades has likely helped to increase regional aerosol concentrations. The substantial increase in Chinese air pollutants has likely decreased the temperature difference between land and sea, which favors intensification of the weakening monsoon circulation. Constructive suggestions regarding future studies on aerosols and monsoons were proposed in this forum and key uncertain issues were also discussed.WU GuoXiong LI ZhanQing FU CongBin ZHANG XiaoYe ZHANG RenYi ZHANG RenHe ZHOU TianJun LI JianPing LI JianDong ZHOU DeGang WU Liang ZHOU LianTong HE Bian HUANG RongHui 2016Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,1:16
Human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy in patients with COVID-19:a phase 1 clinical trial显示文摘No effective drug treatments are available for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Host-directed therapies targeting the underlying aberrant immune responses leading to pulmonary tissue damage, death,or long-term functional disability in survivors require clinical evaluation. We performed a parallel assigned controlled,non-randomized,phase 1 clinical trial to evaluate the safety of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells(UC-MSCs)infusions in the treatment of patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 pulmonary disease. The study enrolled 18 hospitalized patients with COVID-19(n=9 for each group). The treatment group received three cycles of intravenous infusion of UC-MSCs(3×107 cells per infusion)on days 0,3,and 6.Both groups received standard COVID-treatment regimens.Adverse events, duration of clinical symptoms, laboratory parameters, length of hospitalization, serial chest computed tomography(CT)images, the PaO2/FiO2 ratio, dynamics of cytokines, and IgG and IgM anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were analyzed. No serious UC-MSCs infusion-associated adverse events were observed. Two patients receiving UC-MSCs developed transient facial flushing and fever, and one patient developed transient hypoxia at 12 h post UC-MSCs transfusion.Mechanical ventilation was required in one patient in the treatment group compared with four in the control group. All patients recovered and were discharged. Our data show that intravenous UC-MSCs infusion in patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 is safe and well tolerated.Phase 2/3 randomized,controlled,double-blinded trials with long-term follow-up are needed to evaluate the therapeutic use of UC-MSCs to reduce deaths and improve long-term treatment outcomes in patients with serious COVID-19.Fanping Meng Ruonan Xu Siyu Wang Zhe Xu Chao Zhang Yuanyuan Li Tao Yang Lei Shi Junliang Fu Tianjun Jiang Lei Huang Peng Zhao Xin Yuan Xing Fan Ji-Yuan Zhang Jinwen Song Dawei Zhang Yanmei Jiao Limin Liu Chunbao Zhou Markus Maeurer Alimuddin Zumla Ming Shi Fu-Sheng Wang 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:16
The CAMS Climate System Model and a Basic Evaluation of Its Climatology and Climate Variability Simulation显示文摘A new coupled climate system model(CSM) has been developed at the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS) by employing several state-of-the-art component models. The coupled CAMS-CSM consists of the modified atmospheric model [ECmwf-HAMburg(ECHAM5)], ocean model [Modular Ocean Model(MOM4)], sea ice model [Sea Ice Simulator(SIS)], and land surface model [Common Land Model(CoLM)]. A detailed model description is presented and both the pre-industrial and 'historical' simulations are preliminarily evaluated in this study. The model can reproduce the climatological mean states and seasonal cycles of the major climate system quantities, including the sea surface temperature, precipitation, sea ice extent, and the equatorial thermocline. The major climate variability modes are also reasonably captured by the CAMS-CSM, such as the Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO), El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO), East Asian Summer Monsoon(EASM), and Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO).The model shows a promising ability to simulate the EASM variability and the ENSO–EASM relationship. Some biases still exist, such as the false double-intertropical convergence zone(ITCZ) in the annual mean precipitation field, the overestimated ENSO amplitude, and the weakened Bjerknes feedback associated with ENSO; and thus the CAMS-CSM needs further improvements.Xinyao RONG Jian LI Haoming CHEN Yufei XIN Jingzhi SU Lijuan HUA Tianjun ZHOU Yanjun QI Zhengqiu ZHANG Guo ZHANG Jianduo LI 2018Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,6:15
Serial stimulated thyroglobulin measurements are more specific for detecting distant metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer before radioiodine therapy显示文摘Objective: Preablative stimulated thyroglobulin(ps-Tg) has the potential to be used in identifying distant metastatic differentiated thyroid carcinoma(DM-DTC), but its single level can be affected by remnant thyroid tissue and thyrotropin(TSH). The objective of this retrospective study was to evaluate the value of serial ps-Tg measurements in identifying DM-DTC specifically. Methods: A total of 317 DTC patients with serial measurements of ps-Tg, TSH and anti-Tg antibody were divided into M1(n=72) and M0(n=245) according to the presence of distant metastasis(DM) or not. The initial psTg measurement, with a corresponding TSH exceeding 30 μIU/m L, was marked as Tg1, and ps-Tg measured right before radioactive iodine(RAI) therapy was defined as Tg2, with a median interval of 8 days. ΔTg denotes Tg2–Tg1, and ΔTSH denotes TSH2–TSH1. Tg1, Tg2, ΔTg, and ΔTg/ΔTSH were tested for efficacy in identifying DM-DTC using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis, and further compared with chest computed tomography(CT) and posttreatment whole-body RAI scan(Rx WBS).Results: Compared with single ps-Tg measurement(Tg1 or Tg2), both ΔTg and ΔTg/ΔTSH were more narrowly distributed around zero in the M0 group, which made their distribution in the M1 group more distinguished in a relatively dispersed way. ΔTg/ΔTSH manifested a higher accuracy(88.64%) and specificity(90.20%) in identifying DM-DTC than Tg1 or Tg2 measurements, with a much higher specificity than chest CT(90.20% vs. 66.00%) and a much higher sensitivity than Rx WBS(83.33% vs. 61.11%).Conclusions: Serial ps-Tg measurements even over as short an interval as 8 days hold incremental value in identifying DM-DTC. ΔTg/ΔTSH is a specific early biochemical marker for DM-DTC.Teng Zhao Jun Liang Tianjun Li Wen Gao Yansong Lin 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,3:15
Impacts of external forcing on the 20th century global warming显示文摘The impacts of external forcing, including natural and anthropogenic,on the 20th century global warming were assessed with the use of the Grid Atmospheric Model of IAP/LASG Version 1.1.0,fol-lowing the standard coordinated experiment design of the Climate Variability and Predictability(CLIVAR) International Climate of the Twentieth Century Project(C20C) ,Phase II. The results indicate that external forcing plays an important role in the evolution of the land surface air temperature on in-terannual,decadal,and interdecadal time scales, and contributes greatly to the global warming in the following two periods:the early twentieth century between the 1910s and the 1940s and the late twen-tieth century after the 1970s. External forcing also has strong impact on the regional temperature change during the two warming periods except for parts of the Eurasia and the North America conti-nents. In the cooling period, however, the impact of internal variability is dominant.LI LiJuan WANG Bin ZHOU TianJun 2007Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,22:12
Paleoclimate Modeling in China: A Review显示文摘This paper provides a review of paleoclimate modeling activities in China. Rather than attempt to cover all topics, we have chosen a few climatic intervals and events judged to be particularly informative to the international community. In historical climate simulations, changes in solar radiation and volcanic activity explain most parts of reconstructions over the last millennium prior to the industrial era, while atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations play the most important role in the20 th century warming over China. There is a considerable model–data mismatch in the annual and boreal winter temperature change over China during the mid-Holocene [6000 years before present(ka BP)], while coupled models with an interactive ocean generally perform better than atmospheric models. For the Last Glacial Maximum(21 ka BP), climate models successfully reproduce the surface cooling trend over China but fail to reproduce its magnitude, with a better performance for coupled models. At that time, reconstructed vegetation and western Pacific sea surface temperatures could have significantly affected the East Asian climate, and environmental conditions on the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau were most likely very different to the present day. During the late Marine Isotope Stage 3(30–40 ka BP), orbital forcing and Northern Hemisphere glaciation, as well as vegetation change in China, were likely responsible for East Asian climate change. On the tectonic scale, the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau uplift, the Tethys Sea retreat, and the South China Sea expansion played important roles in the formation of the East Asian monsoon-dominant environment pattern during the late Cenozoic.JIANG Dabang YU Ge ZHAO Ping CHEN Xing LIU Jian LIU Xiaodong WANG Shaowu ZHANG Zhongshi YU Yongqiang LI Yuefeng JIN Liya XU Ying JU Lixia ZHOU Tianjun YAN Xiaodong 2015Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2015,32,2:12
Climate Sensitivity and Feedbacks of a New Coupled Model CAMS-CSM to Idealized CO_2 Forcing: A Comparison with CMIP5 Models显示文摘Climate sensitivity and feedbacks are basic and important metrics to a climate system. They determine how large surface air temperature will increase under CO_2 forcing ultimately, which is essential for carbon reduction policies to achieve a specific warming target. In this study, these metrics are analyzed in a climate system model newly developed by the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS-CSM) and compared with multi-model results from the Coupled Model Comparison Project phase 5(CMIP5). Based on two idealized CO_2 forcing scenarios, i.e.,abruptly quadrupled CO_2 and CO_2 increasing 1% per year, the equilibrium climate sensitivity(ECS) and transient climate response(TCR) in CAMS-CSM are estimated to be about 2.27 and 1.88 K, respectively. The ECS is near the lower bound of CMIP5 models whereas the TCR is closer to the multi-model ensemble mean(MME) of CMIP5 due to compensation of a relatively low ocean heat uptake(OHU) efficiency. The low ECS is caused by an unusually negative climate feedback in CAMS-CSM, which is attributed to cloud shortwave feedback(λSWCL) over the tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean. The CMIP5 ensemble shows that more negative λSWCL is related to larger increase in low-level(925–700 hPa)cloud over the tropical Indo-Pacific under warming, which can explain about 90% of λSWCL in CAMS-CSM. Static stability of planetary boundary layer in the pre-industrial simulation is a critical factor controlling the low-cloud response and λSWCL across the CMIP5 models and CAMS-CSM. Evidently, weak stability in CAMS-CSM favors lowcloud formation under warming due to increased low-level convergence and relative humidity, with the help of enhanced evaporation from the warming tropical Pacific. Consequently, cloud liquid water increases, amplifying cloud albedo, and eventually contributing to the unusually negative λSWCL and low ECS in CAMS-CSM. Moreover, the OHU may influence climate feedbacks and then the ECS by modulating regional sea surface temperature responses.Xiaolong CHEN Zhun GUO Tianjun ZHOU Jian LI Xinyao RONG Yufei XIN Haoming CHEN Jingzhi SU 2019Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,1:11
Catastrophic mechanism of coal and gas outbursts and their prevention and control显示文摘Based on the engineering observations of coal and gas outbursts during mining processes and the experimental results,we built a thin plate mechanical model for layered and spalled coal bodies. We studied the mechanical mechanism of outbursts, due to instability,of thin plates of coal rocks under the action of in-plane load and normal load,by using the catastrophe theory. The total potential function is derived for the layered rock system, the cusp catastrophe model for the system is established, the bifurcation set that makes the system unstable is given, the process in which gradual change of action forces leads to catastrophic change of state is analyzed, and the effect of movement path of point(P,q) in the control space on the stability of rock plate is analyzed. The study results show that during the process of coal mining, the stability of the layered coal bodies depends not only on its physical properties and dimensions but also on the magnitudes and changing paths of the in-plane load and the normal load. When the gas in the coal bodies ahead of the mining face is pre-drained,the gas pressure can be reduced and the normal load q can be lowered.Consequently, disasters such as coal and gas outbursts can be effectively prevented.LI, Shugang ZHANG, Tianjun 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,2:10

Recent Advances in Monsoon Studies in China显示文摘This review provides a synopsis of the major progress that has been made in monsoon studies in China and to further bridge the gap between the Chinese and international meteorological community. It consists of seven major sections. After the introduction, the second section begins with the global monsoon systems and their seasonal variation, based on some new methods proposed in recent years. Besides, some major intraseasonal features of East Asian monsoon, including the onset of South China Sea summer monsoon are discussed. In the third section, we review the interactions between ENSO and the East Asian monsoon, focusing in particular on the results of Chinese meteorologists that indicate the influence of ENSO on the East Asian summer monsoon(EASM) is obviously different from that on the tropical monsoon. Besides the tropical Pacific, other ocean basins, such as the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean, are also important to the East Asian monsoon, and this topic is discussed in the fourth section. In the fifth section, we address the role of land surface processes in East Asian monsoon. For example, we describe work that has shown more snow cover in spring on the Tibetan Plateau is followed by a weakened EASM and more summer rainfall in the Yangtze River valleys. The sixth section focuses on the influence of atmospheric circulation in the Southern Hemisphere(SH) on EASM, demonstrating how the signal from the SH is likely to provide new clues for the seasonal forecasting of summer rainfall in China. Finally, in the seventh section, we concentrate on the interdecadal variations of EASM. In particular, we look at a significant interdecadal variation that occurred at the end of the 1970 s, and how our understanding of this feature could affect forecasting ability.XUE Feng ZENG Qingcun HUANG Ronghui LI Chongyin LU Riyu ZHOU Tianjun 2015Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2015,32,2:7
The FGOALS climate system model as a modeling tool for supporting climate sciences:An overview显示文摘Climate system models are useful tools for understanding the interactions among the components of the climate system and predicting/projecting future climate change. The development of climate models has been a central focus of the State Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences(LASG/IAP) since the establishment of the laboratory in 1985. In China, many pioneering component models and fully coupled models of the climate system have been developed by LASG/IAP. The fully coupled climate system developed in the recent decade is named FGOALS(Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System Model). In this paper, an application-oriented review of the LASG/IAP FGOALS model is presented. The improved model performances are demonstrated in the context of cloud-radiation processes, Asian monsoon, ENSO phenomena, Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC) and sea ice. The FGOALS model has contributed to both CMIP5(Coupled Model Intercomparison Project-phase 5) and IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) AR5(the Fifth Assessment Report). The release of FGOALS data has supported the publication of nearly 500 papers around the world. The results of FGOALS are cited ~106 times in the IPCC WG1(Working Group 1) AR5. In addition to the traditional long-term simulations and projections, near-term decadal climate prediction is a new set of CMIP experiment, progress of LAGS/IAP in the development of nearterm decadal prediction system is reviewed. The FGOALS model has supported many Chinese national-level research projects and contributed to the national climate change assessment report. The crucial role of FGOALS as a modeling tool for supporting climate sciences is highlighted by demonstrating the model's performances in the simulation of the evolution of Earth's climate from the past to the future.TianJun Zhou Bin Wang YongQiang Yu YiMin Liu WeiPeng Zheng LiJuan Li Bo Wu PengFei Lin Zhun Guo WenMin Man Qing Bao AnMin Duan HaiLong Liu XiaoLong Chen Bian He JianDong Li LiWei Zou XiaoCong Wang LiXia Zhang Yong Sun WenXia Zhang 2018Earth and Planetary Physics2018,2,4:6
High levels of circulating GM-CSF^(+) CD4^(+) T cells are predictive of poor outcomes in sepsis patients: a prospective cohort study显示文摘Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF),produced by CD4^(+)T cells, has recently been implicated in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and juvenile arthritis. However, the role of GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells in sepsis remains unknown. This study reports peripheral changes in GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells in septic patients and the possible underlying mechanism by which GM-CSF influences the outcome of sepsis.Forty-three septic patients,20 SIRS patients, and 20 healthy controls were enrolled in this study and followed for 28 days to assess mortality. We measured the peripheral frequency of GM-CSF^(+)CD4^(+)T cells and recorded their associated relationship with disease progression. Our data demonstrated that peripheral GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells were significantly higher in septic patients than in both SIRS patients and healthy controls. These cells exhibit a memory phenotype and impaired IFN-γ-secreting capacity in sepsis patients.Using a receiver operating curve analysis with 8.01%as a cut-off point, the percentage of GM-CSF^(+)CD4^(+)T cells could predict the outcome of septic patients.Combined with the increase in GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells, inflammatory cytokines IL-1βand IL-6 were also upregulated.Using an in vitro neutrophil model,we found that GM-CSF inhibited C3aR expression, while inducing IL-8 production.Furthermore, this effect was transferrable in plasma from sepsis patients and was attenuated by inhibition of GM-CSF using an anti-GM-CSF antibody. These results indicate that GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells may serve as a marker of sepsis severity. Thus, targeting GM-CSF overproduction may benefit sepsis patients.Huihuang Huang Siyu Wang Tianjun Jiang Rong Fan Zheng Zhang Jinsong Mu Ke Li Yonggang Wang Lei Jin Fang Lin Jie Xia Lijian Sun Biao Xu Chengcheng Ji Jing Chen Juan Chang Bo Tu Bing Song Chao Zhang Fu-Sheng Wang Ruonan Xu 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,6:6
Cloning, characterization of two female-specific AFLP markers and development of PCR-based sex identification method for the half-smooth tongue sole Cynoglossus semilaevis显示文摘Two female-specific AFLP(amplified fragment length polymorphism)markers(named CseF464 and CseF136)were isolated by using one selective primer combination(E-AGC/M-CTG)from the genomic DNA of 20 females and 20 males of the half-smooth tongue sole Cynoglossus semilaevis. Both the markers were re-amplified,recovered from the agarose gels, cloned and sequenced.Bioinformatics analysis indicated that the length of the two markers were 468 bp and 134 bp,respectively, and the sequences showed no similarity to each other,as well as to the known sequences deposited in the GenBank database using BLASTn.Two pairs of SCAR(sequence characterized amplified regions)primers were designed based on the sequences of the two female-specific markers.Furthermore,PCR-based genetic sex identification method was developed in Cynoglossus semilaevis.A specific fragment was amplified in all females but not in any males by using these SCAR primers on the initial 20 female and 20 male individuals of Cynoglossus semilaevis. The feasibility of the two SCAR primer pairs was confirmed in additional 100 individuals(50 females and 50 males). This allowed for reliable, rapid molecular identification of genetic sex of the species, genetic mapping on the sex chromosomes and better understanding of the sex determination and sex differentiation in the half-smooth tongue sole.Hongyu MA Songlin CHEN Jing LI Jin-Zhen BI Tianjun XU 2009Current Zoology2009,55,4:4

Advances and challenges on springback control for creep age forming of aluminum alloy显示文摘Creep age forming(CAF)is an advanced forming technology that combines creep deformation and age hardening processes. When compared with the conventional forming technologies including roll bending and shot-peen forming,CAF has many advantages of low residual stress, excellent dimensional stability, good service performance and short production cycle. It is an optimal technique for precise manufacturing for shape and properties of large-scale complicated thinwalled components of light-weight and high strength aluminum alloys in the aviation and aerospace industries.Nevertheless,CAF has an inevitable disadvantage that a large amount of springback occurs after unloading, which brings a challenge on the accurate shape forming and property tailoring of components. Therefore, how to achieve accurate prediction and control of springback has always been a bottleneck hindering the development of CAF to more industrial applications. After the factors of affecting springback and measures of reducing springback are summarized from the internal and external aspects, constitutive models for predicting springback and springback compensation methods for CAF of aluminum alloy panel components are reviewed. Then,a review of research progresses on tool design for CAF is presented. Finally,in view of the key issue that it is difficult to predict and control the shape and properties of components during CAF,the technical challenges are discussed and future development trends of CAF are prospected.Liwen ZHANG Heng LI Tianjun BIAN Changhui WU Yang GAO Chao LEI 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,10:3

Tocilizumab in patients with moderate or severe COVID-19: a randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter trial显示文摘Tocilizumab has been reported to attenuate the“cytokine storm”in COVID-19 patients. We attempted to verify the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab therapy in COVID-19 and identify patients most likely to benefit from this treatment. We conducted a randomized,controlled,open-label multicenter trial among COVID-19 patients. The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either tocilizumab in addition to standard care or standard care alone. The cure rate, changes of oxygen saturation and interference, and inflammation biomarkers were observed.Thirty-three patients were randomized to the tocilizumab group, and 32 patients to the control group. The cure rate in the tocilizumab group was higher than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(94.12%vs.87.10%,rate difference 95%CI−7.19%–21.23%,P=0.4133).The improvement in hypoxia for the tocilizumab group was higher from day 4 onward and statistically significant from day 12(P=0.0359).In moderate disease patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions, the hypoxia ameliorated earlier after tocilizumab treatment, and less patients(1/12,8.33%)needed an increase of inhaled oxygen concentration compared with the controls(4/6,66.67%;rate difference 95%CI−99.17%to−17.50%,P=0.0217).No severe adverse events occurred.More mild temporary adverse events were recorded in tocilizumab recipients(20/34,58.82%)than the controls(4/31,12.90%).Tocilizumab can improve hypoxia without unacceptable side effect profile and significant influences on the time virus load becomes negative. For patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions and elevated IL-6 levels, tocilizumab could be recommended to improve outcome.Dongsheng Wang Binqing Fu Zhen Peng Dongliang Yang Mingfeng Han Min Li Yun Yang Tianjun Yang Liangye Sun Wei Li Wei Shi Xin Yao Yan Ma Fei Xu Xiaojing Wang Jun Chen Daqing Xia Yubei Sun Lin Dong Jumei Wang Xiaoyu Zhu Min Zhang Yonggang Zhou Aijun Pan Xiaowen Hu Xiaodong Mei Haiming Wei Xiaoling Xu 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3:2
