| 1 | Nerve growth factor and injured peripheral nerve regeneration显示文摘Nerve growth factor (NGF) exhibits many biological activities,such as supply of nutrients,neuroprotection,and the generation and rehabilitation of injured nerves. The neuroprotective and neurotrophic qualities of NGF are generally recognized. NGF may enhance axonal regeneration and myelination of peripheral nerves,as well as cooperatively promote functional recovery of injured nerves and limbs. The clinical efficacy of NGF and its therapeutic potentials are reviewed here. | 4 | Analysis of Oblique Wave Interaction with a Comb-Type Caisson Breakwater显示文摘This study develops an analytical solution for oblique wave interaction with a comb-type caisson breakwater based on linear potential theory. The fluid domain is divided into inner and outer regions according to the geometrical shape of breakwater. By using periodic boundary condition and separation of variables, series solutions of velocity potentials in inner and outer regions are developed. Unknown expansion coefficients in series solutions are determined by matching velocity and pressure of continuous conditions on the interface between two regions. Then, hydrodynamic quantities involving reflection coefficients and wave forces acting on breakwater are estimated. Analytical solution is validated by a multi-domain boundary element method solution for the present problem. Diffusion reflection due to periodic variations in breakwater shape and corresponding surface elevations around the breakwater are analyzed. Numerical examples are also presented to examine effects of caisson parameters on total wave forces acting on caissons and total wave forces acting on side plates. Compared with a traditional vertical wall breakwater, the wave force acting on a suitably designed comb-type caisson breakwater can be significantly reduced. | 5 | Microstructural evolution and energetic characteristics of TiZrHfTa_(0.7)W_(0.3)high-entropy alloy under high strain rates and its application in high-velocity penetration显示文摘Energetic structural materials(ESMs)integrated a high energy density and rapid energy release with the ability to serve as structural materials.Here,a novel triple-phase TiZrHfTa_(0.7)W_(0.3)high-entropy alloy(HEA)was fabricated and investigated as a potential ESM.A hierarchical microstructure was obtained with a main metastable body-centered-cubic(BCC)matrix with distributed Ta-W-rich BCC precipitates of various sizes and interwoven hexagonal close-packed(HCP)lamellar nano-plates.The compressive me-chanical properties were tested across a range of strain rates and demonstrated a brittle-to-ductile tran-sition as the strain rate increased while maintaining a high ultimate strength of approximately 2.5 GPa.This was due to the phase transformation from metastable matrix BCC to HCP structures.In addition,during the dynamic deformation,metal combustion originating from the failure surface was observed.Furthermore,the composition of the fragments was studied,and the results indicated that the addition of tungsten promoted combustion.Finally,the potential application of this HEA was evaluated by high-velocity penetration tests,and the results were compared to other typical structural materials for pene-trators and bullets.A comparison was conducted by assessing the geometries of the penetration channel employing two dimensionless parameters normalized by the projectile size,representing longitudinal and lateral damage,respectively.The normalized depth of the TiZrHfTa_(0.7)W_(0.3)HEA projectile was comparable to those of the other investigated materials,but the normalized diameter was the largest,showing an excellent ability to deliver lateral damage. | Weiqi Tang Kun Zhang Tianyu Chen Qiu Wang Bingchen Wei | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,1: | 3 |

| 8 | Domain structure of hard magnetic NdAlFeCo bulk metallic glass显示文摘Magnetic domain structure of hard magnetic Nd60Al10Fe20Co10 bulk metallic glass (BMG) has been studied by using magnetic force microscopy. In the magnetic force images it is shown that the exchange interaction type magnetic domains with a period of about 360 nm do exist in the BMG, which is believed to be associated with the appearance of hard-magnetic properties in this system. As the scale of the magnetic domain is much larger than the size of the short-range ordered atomic clusters existing in the BMG, it is believed that the large areas of magnetic contrast are actually a collection of a group of clusters aligned in parallel by strong exchange coupling interaction. After fully crystallization, the BMG exhibits paramagnetism. | 19 | Self-oxygenated co-assembled biomimetic nanoplatform for enhanced photodynamic therapy in hypoxic tumor显示文摘Photodynamic therapy(PDT)has shown great application potential in cancer treatment and the important manifestation of PDT in the inhibition of tumors is the activation of immunogenic cell death(ICD)effects.However,the strategy is limited in the innate hypoxic tumor microenvironment.There are two key elements for the realization of enhanced PDT:specific cellular uptake and release of the photosensitizer in the tumor,and a sufficient amount of oxygen to ensure photodynamic efficiency.Herein,self-oxygenated biomimetic nanoparticles(CS@M NPs)co-assembled by photosensitizer prodrug(Ce6-S-S-LA)and squalene(SQ)were engineered.In the treatment of triple negative breast cancer(TNBC),the oxygen carried by SQ can be converted to reactive oxygen species(ROS).Meanwhile,glutathione(GSH)consumption during transformation from Ce6-S-S-LA to chlorin e6(Ce6)avoided the depletion of ROS.The co-assembled(CS NPs)were encapsulated by homologous tumor cell membrane to improve the tumor targeting.The results showed that the ICD effect of CS@M NPs was confirmed by the significant release of calreticulin(CRT)and high mobility group protein B1(HMGB1),and it significantly activated the immune system by inhibiting the hypoxia inducible factor-1alpha(HIF-1α)-CD39-CD73-adenosine a2a receptor(A2AR)pathway,which not only promoted the maturation of dendritic cells(DC)and the presentation of tumor specific antigens,but also induced effective immune infiltration of tumors.Overall,the integrated nanoplatform implements the concept of multiple advantages of tumor targeting,reactive drug release,and synergistic photodynamic therapy-immunotherapy,which can achieve nearly 90%tumor suppression rate in orthotopic TNBC models. | Bingchen Zhang Ling Lin Jizong Mao Weisheng Mo Zibo Li Shengtao Wang Yan Tang Chunhui Cui Yifen Wu Zhiqiang Yu | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,10: | 0 |
| 20 | Experimental Study of Submergence Ratio on Local Scour Around a Square Pile in Steady Flow显示文摘Scour around a submerged square pile was realized experimentally in a steady flow to study the effects of flow depth on local scour.Flow depth to pile height ratios ranging from 1.5 to 5 in uniform sand and 2 to 5 in non-uniform sand were tested in the approaching flow velocity to critical velocity(larger than which the sediment particle is motivated)ratios of 0.56 and 1.03,respectively.The influences of flow depth were investigated on the basis of analysis of the three-dimensional topography,temporal maximum scour depth,bed profile development,and equilibrium scour depth.Results showed that the maximum scour depth was at the upstream corners of the pile other than at the stagnation point.The evolutions of the maximum scour depth data in non-uniform sand were well fitted with a recent exponential function,which characterized the initial,developing,and equilibrium stages of scour depth.The scour hole slopes upstream of the pile were found to be parallel to each other in the process of each test and were mainly governed by the sediment repose underwater.The equilibrium scour depth varied slightly with flow depth when the submergence ratio was larger than 1 in uniform sand while it was 2 in non-uniform sand.The armoring effects of coarse sediment particles markedly reduced the sediment transport in non-uniform sand despite the 0.34 increment in non-uniformity. | DU Shengtao WU Guoxiang LIANG Bingchen ZHU David Z WANG Risheng | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,5: | 0 |
