The P-wave velocity structure of the lithosphere of the North China Craton——Results from the Wendeng-Alxa Left Banner deep seismic sounding profile显示文摘For the first time on the Chinese mainland, long-range wide-angle seismic reflection/refraction profiling technology has been applied to seismic wave phases from different depths and with different attributes within the various blocks of the North China Craton to characterize the structure of the crust and upper mantle lithosphere. By comparative analysis of the seismic wave phase characteristics in each block across a 1500-km-long east-west profile, we have identified conventional Pg, Pci, PmP and Pn phases in the crust, made a clear contrast between PL1 and PL2 waves belonging to two groups of lithospheric-scale phases, and produced a model of crust-mantle velocity structures and tectonic characteristics after one- and two-dimensional calculations and processing. The results show that the thickness of the crust and lithosphere gradually deepens from east to west along the profile. However, at the reflection/refraction interface, seismic waves in each group show obvious localized changes in each block. Also, the depth to the crystalline basement changes greatly, from as much as 7.8 km in the North China fault basin to only about 2 km beneath the Jiaodong Peninsula and Taihang-Lüliang area. The Moho morphology as a whole ranges from shallow in the east to deep in the west, with the deepest point in the Ordos Block at 47 km; in contrast, the North China Plain Block is uplifting. The L1 interface of the lithosphere is observed only to the west of Taihang Mountains, at a relatively slowly changing depth of about 80 km. The L2 interface varies from 75 to 160 km and shows a sharp deepening to the west of Taihang Mountains, forming a mutation belt. | WANG ShuaiJun WANG FuYun ZHANG JianShi JIA ShiXu ZHANG ChengKe ZHAO JinRen LIU BaoFeng | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,9: | 26
Study on the velocity structure of the crust in Southwest Yunnan of the north-south seismic belt—Results from the Menghai-Gengma-Lushui deep seismic sounding profile显示文摘Southwest Yunnan, located in the southern segment of the north-south seismic belt, is one of the regions with strong tectonic movement and seismic activity in China. Study on the characteristics of tectonic setting and deep geophysical field in the region is an important issue in basic science. In 2013, we conducted a 600-km-long Menghai-Gengma-Lushui profile of deep seismic wide-angle reflection/refraction and high-resolution seismic refraction in Southwest Yunnan. In this paper, we use 6 groups of clear intracrustal P-wave phases picked from the seismic record sections of 11 shots to build a velocity structure model of basement and 2D crustal P-wave of the region by using finite difference inversion and ray travel time forward fitting technology. The results show that, from south to north, the crust gradually thickens along the profile and its basement shows a significant lateral heterogeneity. In the vicinity of the Nanting River fault, the basement structure shows the character of alternate depressions and uplifts, and the shallowest basement is about 1.0 km. In the vicinity of Tengchong and Lancang, the basement is about 5.0 km deep. The velocity of the middle and lower crust in the region generally increases with the increasing of depth. At the block boundary and beneath the fault tectonic belt, the velocity contours show apparent irregularity and the P-wave velocity changes sharply. In this region, the Moho gradually deepens from south to north with relatively large lateral undulations. The shallowest point of the Moho is located near Menghai at a depth of about 32.0 km. The deepest point of the Moho is located near Tengchong at a depth of about 40.5 km. Between Gengma and Yongde, the Moho shows significantly fast uplifting and depressing with an amplitude of about 4.0 km. Beneath the Nanting River fault, Longling-Ruili fault, Dayingjiang fault and Tengchong volcano, the basement velocity structure, 2D crustal P-wave velocity structure, distribution of average profile velocity and intracrustal interface spreading also show significant changes from the basement to the top of the Moho, indicating that the crustal velocity and medium physical properties beneath the fault tectonic belt are apparently different from the crustal materials on its both sides, which suggests that these faults should be in a certain scale and may extend to the lower crust or the top of the upper mantle. The earthquakes in the region mainly occurred at a depth of 10–20 km, and the seismic activity is related to the intracrustal medium velocity difference and fault belt distribution. The results can serve as the important data of the crust-mantle structure for the analysis of the deep tectonic setting, earthquake precise positioning, seismogenic structure modeling of the seismic activities in Southwest Yunnan, as well as the important reference for the evaluation of seismic hazard and the planning of earthquake disaster mitigation of this region. | WANG ShuaiJun LIU BaoJin ZHANG JianShi LIU BaoFeng DUAN YuLing SONG XiangHui DENG XiaoGuo MA CeJun ZANG YiRan | 2015 | Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,12: | 13
Lithospheric structure and faulting characteristics of the Helan Mountains and Yinchuan Basin: Results of deep seismic reflection profiling显示文摘The Helan Mountains and Yinchuan Basin(HM-YB) are located at the northern end of the North-South tectonic belt, and form an intraplate tectonic deformation zone in the western margin of the North China Craton(NCC).The HM-YB has a complicated history of formation and evolution, and is tectonically active at the present day.It has played a dominant role in the complex geological structure and modern earthquake activities of the region.A 135-km-long deep seismic reflection profile across the HM-YB was acquired in early 2014,which provides detailed information of the lithospheric structure and faulting characteristics from near-surface to various depths in the region. The results show that the Moho gradually deepens from east to west in the depth range of 40-48 km along the profile.Significant differences are present in the crustal structure of different tectonic units, including in the distribution of seismic velocities, depths of intra-crustal discontinuities and undulation pattern of the Moho. The deep seismic reflection profile further reveals distinct structural characteristics on the opposite sides of the Helan Mountains. To the east,The Yellow River fault, the eastern piedmont fault of the Helan Mountains,as well as multiple buried faults within the Yinchuan Basin are all normal faults and still active since the Quaternary. These faults have controlled the Cenozoic sedimentation of the basin, and display a 'negative-flower' structure in the profile. To the west, the Bayanhaote fault and the western piedmont fault of the Helan Mountains are east-dipping thrust faults, which caused folding, thrusting, and structural deformation in the Mesozoic stratum of the Helan Mountains uplift zone.A deep-penetrating fault is identified in the western side of the Yinchuan Basin. It has a steep inclination cutting through the middle-lower crust and the Moho, and may be connected to the two groups of faults in the upper crust. This set of deep and shallow fault system consists of both strike-slip,thrust,and normal faults formed over different eras, and provides the key tectonic conditions for the basin-mountains coupling, crustal deformation and crust-mantle interactions in the region. The other important phenomenon revealed from the results of deep seismic reflection profiling is the presence of a strong upper mantle reflection(UMR) at a depth of 82-92 km beneath the HM-YB,indicating the existence of a rapid velocity variation or a velocity discontinuity in that depth range. This is possibly a sign of vertical structural inhomogeneity in the upper mantle of the region. The seismic results presented here provide new clues and observational bases for further study of the deep structure, structural differences among various blocks and the tectonic relationship between deep and shallow processes in the western NCC. | LIU BaoJin FENG ShaoYing JI JiFa WANG ShuaiJun ZHANG JianShi YUAN HongKe YANG GuoJun | 2017 | Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,3: | 11
Dynamic Uplink Transmission Scheduling for Satellite Internet of Things Applications显示文摘Satellite communication systems provide a cost-effective solution for global internet of things(IoT)applications due to its large coverage and easy deployment. This paper mainly focuses on Satellite networks system,in which low earth orbit(LEO)satellites network collect sensing data from the user terminals(UTs)and then forward the data to ground station through geostationary earth orbit(GEO)satellites network.Considering the limited uplink transmission resources, this paper optimizes the uplink transmission scheduling scheme over LEO satellites.A novel transmission scheduling algorithm, which combined Algorithms of Simulated Annealing and Monte Carlo(SA-MC),is proposed to achieve the dynamic optimal scheduling scheme.Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed SA-MC algorithm in terms of cost value reduction and fast convergence. | Li Wang Shuaijun Liu Weidong Wang Zhiyan Fan | 2020 | China Communications2020,17,10: | 6
Crustal P-wave velocity structure in the northeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and insights into crustal deformation显示文摘The transitional area between the northeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, Ordos Block and Alxa Block, also being the northern segment of the North-South Seismic Belt, is characterized by considerably high seismicity level and high risk of strong earthquakes. In view of the special tectonic environment and deep tectonic setting in this area, this study used two seismic wide-angle reflection/refraction cross profiles for double constraining, so as to more reliably obtain the fine-scale velocity structure characteristics in both the shallow and deep crust of individual blocks and their boundaries in the study area, and further discuss the seismogenic environment in seismic zones with strong historical earthquakes. In this paper, the P-wave data from the two profiles are processed and interpreted, and two-dimensional crustal velocity structure models along the two profiles are constructed by travel time forward modeling. The results show that there are great differences in velocity structure, shape of intra-crustal interfaces and crustal thickness among different blocks sampled by the two seismic profiles. The crustal thickness along the Lanzhou-Huianbu-Yulin seismic sounding profile(L1) increases from ~43 km in the western margin of Ordos Block to ~56 km in the Qilian Block to the west. In the Ordos Block, the velocity contours vary gently, and the average velocity of the crust is about 6.30 km s-1; On the other hand, the velocity structures in the crust of the Qilian Block and the arclike tectonic zone vary dramatically, and the average crustal velocities in these areas are about 0.10 km s-1 lower than that of the Ordos Block. In addition, discontinuous low-velocity bodies(LVZ1 and LVZ2) are identified in the crust of the Qilian Block and the arc-like tectonic zone, the velocity of which is 0.10–0.20 km s-1 lower than that of the surroundings. The average crustal thickness of the Ordos Block is consistently estimated to be around 43 km along both Profile L2(Tongchuan-Huianbu-Alashan left banner seismic sounding profile) and Profile L1. In contrast to the gently varying intra-crustal interfaces and velocity contours in the Ordos Block along Profile L1, which is a typical structure characteristic of stable cratons, the crustal structure in the Ordos Block along Profile L2 exhibits rather complex variations. This indicates the presence of significant structural differences in the crust within the Ordos Block. The crustal structure of the Helan Mountain Qilian Block and the Yinchuan Basin is featured by 'uplift and depression' undulations, showing the characteristics of localized compressional deformation. Moreover, there are low-velocity zones with alternative high and low velocities in the middle and lower crust beneath the Helan Mountain, where the velocity is about 0.15–0.25 km s-1 lower than that of the surrounding areas. The crustal thickness of the Alxa Block is about 49 km, and the velocity contours in the upper and middle-lower crust of the block vary significantly. The complex crustal velocity structure images along the two seismic sounding profiles L1 and L2 reveal considerable structural differences among different tectonic blocks, their coupling relationships and velocity structural features in the seismic zones where strong historical earthquakes occurred. The imaging result of this study provides fine-scale crustal structure information for further understanding the seismogenic environment and mechanism in the study area. | Shuaijun WANG Baojin LIU Xiaofeng TIAN Baofeng LIU Xianghui SONG Xiaoguo DENG Yinan SUN Cejun MA Yudong YANG | 2018 | Science China Earth Sciences2018,61,9: | 3
| Xiaojun WANG Yong SONG Baoli BIAN Junmeng ZHAO Heng ZHANG Maodu YAN Shunping PEI Qiang XU Shuaijun WANG Hongbing LIU Changhui JU | 2021 | 地学前缘2021,28,6: | 2

Acidification and bubble template derived porous g-C_(3)N_(4) for efficient photodegradation and hydrogen evolution显示文摘Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))as a metal-free candidate of photocatalyst has received worldwide attention because of its great potentials in solar light-induced degradation and hydrogen evolution, yet the industrial application is seriously hindered by the small specific surface area and rapid recombination rate of carriers.Herein,we demonstrate that porous g-C_(3)N_(4)(HCl-CNU-X)can be prepared via the copolymerization of acidified melamine and a green bubble template(urea).Transmission electron microscopy and nitrogen sorption characterization results show that the prepared HCl-CNU-X possesses an in-plane porous structure and large specific surface area, enabling the exposure of more accessible active sites. As a result,HCl-CNU-X exhibits both enhanced photocatalytic tetracycline hydrochloride degradation and higher hydrogen evolution than bulk g-C_(3)N_(4).The boosted photocatalytic performance was ascribed to the formation of the porous structure, which dramatically promotes the separation of charge-carriers and facilitates the electron transfer. This work demonstrates that the acidification of nitrogen-rich precursors combined with a bubble-template can develop a new paradigm of highly porous photocatalysts for environmental remediation and water splitting. | Yixuan Wang Fengting He Lin Chen Jie Shang Jiajia Wang Shuaijun Wang Huimin Song Jinqiang Zhang Chaocheng Zhao Shaobin Wang Hongqi Sun | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10: | 1
Application of S-transform threshold filtering in Anhui experiment airgun sounding data de-noising显示文摘As a relatively new method of processing non-stationary signal with high time-frequency resolution, S transform can be used to analyze the time-frequency characteristics of seismic signals. It has the following characteristics: its time-frequency resolution corresponding to the signal frequency, reversible inverse transform, basic wavelet that does not have to meet the permit conditions. We combined the threshold method, proposed the S-transform threshold filtering on the basis of S transform timefrequency filtering, and processed airgun seismic records from temporary stations in 'Yangtze Program'(the Anhui experiment). Compared with the results of the bandpass filtering, the S transform threshold filtering can improve the signal to noise ratio(SNR) of seismic waves and provide effective help for first arrival pickup and accurate travel time. The first arrival wave seismic phase can be traced farther continuously, and the Pm seismic phase in the subsequent zone is also highlighted. | Chenglong Zheng Xiaofeng Tian Zhuoxin Yang Shuaijun Wang Zhenyu Fan | 2018 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2018,9,4: | 1
Response of soil respiration to environmental and photosynthetic factors in different subalpine forest-cover types in a loess alpine hilly region显示文摘Soil respiration(Rs)is important for transport-ing or fixing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and even diminutive variations can profoundly influence the carbon cycle. However, the R_(s) dynamics in a loess alpine hilly region with representative sensitivity to climate change and fragile ecology remains poorly understood. This study investigated the correlation and degree of control between R_(s) and its photosynthetic and environmental factors in five subalpine forest cover types. We examined the correlations between R_(s) and variables temperature(T_(10)) and soil moisture content at 10 cm depth(W_(10)),net photosynthetic rate(P_(n))and soil properties to establish multiple models, and the variables were measured for diurnal and monthly vari-ations from September 2018 to August 2019.The results showed that soil physical factors are not the main drivers of R_(s) dynamics at the diel scale;however, the trend in the monthly variation in R_(s) was consistent with that of T_(10)and P_(n).Further,R_(s) was significantly affected by pH,providing further evidence that coniferous forest leaves contribute to soil acidification, thus reducing R_(s).Significant exponential and linear correlations were established between R_(s) and T_(10)and W_(10),respectively,and R_(s) was positively correlated with P_(n).Accordingly,we established a two-factor model and a three-factor model, and the correlation coefficients(R_(2))was improved to different degrees compared with models based only on T_(10) and W_(10).Moreover,temperature sensitivity(Q_(10))was the highest in the secondary forest and lowest in the Larix principis-rupprechtii forest. Our findings suggest that the control of R_(s) by the environment(moisture and tempera-ture)and photosynthesis, which are interactive or comple-mentary effects, may influence spatial and temporal homeo-stasis in the region and showed that the models appropriately described the dynamic variation in R_(s) and the carbon cycle in different forest covers. In addition, total phosphorus(TP)and total potassium(TK)significantly affected the dynamic changes in R_(s).In summary, interannual and seasonal variations in forest R_(s) at multiple scales and the response forces of related ecophysiological factors, especially the interactive driving effects of soil temperature, soil moisture and photo-synthesis,were clarified, thus representing an important step in predicting the impact of climate change and formulating forest carbon management policies. | Yuanhang Li Sha Lin Qi Chen Xinyao Ma Shuaijun Wang Kangning He | 2022 | Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,2: | 1

Continuous activation of polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cells during pregnancy is critical for fetal development显示文摘The maternal immune system is vital in maintaining immunotolerance to the semiallogeneic fetus for a successful pregnancy.Although studies have shown that myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)play an important role in maintaining feto-maternal tolerance, little is known about the role of MDSCs in pregnancies with intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR).Here,we reported that the activation of polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cells(PMN-MDSCs)during pregnancy was closely associated with fetal growth. In humans, class E scavenger receptor 1(SR-E1),a distinct marker for human PMN-MDSCs,was used to investigate PMN-MDSC function during pregnancy.Continuous activation of SR-E1+PMN-MDSCs was observed in all stages of pregnancy, accompanied by high cellular levels of ROS and arginase-1 activity, mediated through STAT6 signaling.However,SR-E1+PMN-MDSCs in pregnancies with IUGR showed significantly lower suppressive activity, lower arginase-1 activity and ROS levels, and decreased STAT6 phosphorylation level, which were accompanied by an increase in inflammatory factors, compared with those in normal pregnancies. Moreover, the population of SR-E1+PMN-MDSCs was negatively correlated with the adverse outcomes of newborns from pregnancies with IUGR.In mice, decreases in cell population, suppressive activity, target expression levels, and STAT6 phosphorylation levels were also observed in the pregnancies with IUGR compared with the normal pregnancies, which were rescued by the adoptive transfer of PMN-MDSCs from pregnant mice.Interestingly, the growth-promoting factors(GPFs)secreted by placental PMN-MDSCs in both humans and mice play a vital role in fetal development. These findings collectively support that PMN-MDSCs have another new role in pregnancy, which can improve adverse neonatal outcomes. | Mengyu Shi Ziyang Chen Meiqi Chen Jingping Liu Jing Li Zhe Xing Xiaogang Zhang Shuaijun Lv Xinyao Li Shaowen Zuo Shi Feng Ying Lin Gang Xiao Liping Wang Yumei He | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,7: | 1
Intrinsic Mechanisms of Morphological Engineering and Carbon Doping for Improved Photocatalysis of 2D/2D Carbon Nitride Van Der Waals Heterojunction显示文摘Van der Waals(VDW)heterojunctions in a 2D/2D contact provide the highest area for the separation and transfer of charge carriers. In this work,a top-down strategy with a gas erosion process was employed to fabricate a 2D/2D carbon nitride VDW heterojunction in carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))with carbon-rich carbon nitride. The created 2D semiconducting channel in the VDW structure exhibits enhanced electric field exposure and radiation absorption, which facilitates the separation of the charge carriers and their mobility.Consequently, compared with bulk g-C_(3)N_(4)and its nanosheets, the photocatalytic performance of the fabricated carbon nitride VDW heterojunction in the water splitting reaction to hydrogen is improved by 8.6 and 3.3 times, respectively, while maintaining satisfactory photo-stability.Mechanistically,the finite element method(FEM)was employed to evaluate and clarify the contributions of the formation of VDW heterojunction to enhanced photocatalysis,in agreement quantitatively with experimental ones. This study provides a new and effective strategy for the modification and more insights to performance improvement on polymeric semiconductors in photocatalysis and energy conversion. | Jinqiang Zhang Xiaoli Zhao Lin Chen Shuli Li Haijun Chen Yuezhao Zhu Shuaijun Wang Yang Liu Huayang Zhang Xiaoguang Duan Mingbo Wu Shaobin Wang Hongqi Sun | 2023 | Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,3: | 0
Tuning electronic properties of cobalt phthalocyanines for oxygen reduction and evolution reactions显示文摘Metal–phthalocyanines are a class of catalytically active materials promising in energy conversion and storage fields(e.g.,electrocatalysis).However,understanding and controlling the electrochemical properties in metal-phthalocyanine systems is challenging.Herein,we elucidate the electrocatalytic origins of a series of cobalt-phthalocyanine molecular catalysts and finetune their electronic properties at the atomic level, both experimentally and computationally. The interactions between the cobalt center and the local coordination environment are regulated by introducing either electron-donating or electron-withdrawing groups on the phthalocyanine ligand, and the spin-orbit splitting of cobalt is increased by~0.15 eV compared with the nonsubstituted ligand.Specifically, the aminated cobalt phthalocyanine-based electrocatalysts exhibit low free energies in the ratedetermining steps of the oxygen reduction(-1.68 eV)and oxygen evolution reactions(0.37 eV).This contributes to the high electrocatalytic activity(e.g.,a halfwave potential of 0.84 V and an overpotential of 0.30 V at 10 mAcm^(-2)),featuring a high selectivity of a four-electron pathway(i.e.,a negligible by-product of hydrogen peroxide). These catalysts also exhibit exceptional kinetic current density(Tafel slope of 100 mV dec^(-1))in oxygen reduction reactions,in addition to a superior power density(158 mWcm^(-2))and a high cycling stability(>1,300 cycles)in Zn-air batteries, outperforming the commercial Pt/C and/or RuO2counterparts. | Jianlin Jiang Zhen Liu Shuaijun Pan Xinnian Xia Bing Qin Yang Hu Xuxu Wang Jiamin Lan Yu Gu Encai Ou Weijian Xu Joseph J.Richardson Rui Guo | 2024 | Science China Chemistry2024,67,1: | 0
Towards uniform point distribution in feature-preserving point cloud filtering显示文摘While a popular representation of 3D data, point clouds may contain noise and need filtering before use.Existing point cloud filtering methods either cannot preserve sharp features or result in uneven point distributions in the filtered output. To address this problem, this paper introduces a point cloud filtering method that considers both point distribution and feature preservation during filtering. The key idea is to incorporate a repulsion term with a data term in energy minimization. The repulsion term is responsible for the point distribution, while the data term aims to approximate the noisy surfaces while preserving geometric features. This method is capable of handling models with fine-scale features and sharp features.Extensive experiments show that our method quickly yields good results with relatively uniform point distribution. | Shuaijun Chen Jinxi Wang Wei Pan Shang Gao Meili Wang Xuequan Lu | 2023 | Computational Visual Media2023,9,2: | 0
