| 2 | Mantle Source Components and Magmatic Evolution for the Comei Large Igneous Province:Evidence from the Early Cretaceous Niangzhong Mafic Magmatism in Tethyan Himalaya显示文摘The Niangzhong diabase dikes,dated at 138.1±0.4 Ma,are located within the outcrop area of the Comei large igneous province(LIP).These diabase samples can be divided into two groups:samples in Group 1 show varying MgO(1.50 wt.%-10.25 wt.%)and TiO_(2)(0.85 wt.%-4.63 wt.%)contents,and enriched initial isotope compositions(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr(t)=0.7056-0.7112,ε_(Nd)(t)=-0.3-+3.8),with OIB-like REEs and trace elements patterns,resulting from low degree melting of garnet-bearing lherzolite mantle sources;in contrast,samples in Group 2 show limited MgO(4.14 wt.%-7.75 wt.%)and TiO_(2)(0.98 wt.%-1.69 wt.%)contents,and depleted initial isotope compositions(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr(t)=0.7075-0.7112,ε_(Nd)(t)=+5.5-+6.2),with N-MORB-like REEs and trace elements patterns,resulting from relatively high degree melting of spinel-bearing lherzolite mantle source.Combined with the published representative data about Comei LIP,we summarize that the source components for Comei LIP products include OIB end-member,enriched OIB end-member,and N-MORB end-member,respectively.Melts modeling suggests that magmas in the Comei LIP evolve in a relatively high oxygen fugacity condition,which influenced their fractionation sequences and led to systematic changes of TiO_(2)contents,Ti/Y and Ti/Ti*ratios.From the spatial and temporal distribution of above three end-member samples,deep process of Kerguelen plume during the Comei LIP formation can be interpreted as the interaction among the Kerguelen plume,the overlying lithospheric mantle,and the upwelling asthenosphere.The magmatism of Comei LIP began at~140 Ma and then lasted and peaked at~132 Ma with the progressively lithospheric thinning of eastern Gondwana upon the impact of Kerguelen plume. | Yaying Wang Lingsen Zeng Kejun Hou Li'e Gao Qian Wang Linghao Zhao Jiahao Gao Guangxu Li | 2022 | Journal of Earth Science2022,33,1: | 3 |

| 5 | Shadow–highlight feature matching automatic small crater recognition using high-resolution digital orthophoto map from Chang’E Missions显示文摘This paper introduces a new method of small lunar craters’ automatic identification, using digital orthophoto map(DOM) data. The core of the approach is the fact that the lunar exploration DOM data reveal contrasting highlight and shadow characteristics of small craters under sunlight irradiation. This research effort combines image processing and mathematical modeling. Overall it proposes a new planetary data processing approach, to segment and extract the highlight and shadow regions of small craters,using the image gray frequency(IGF) statistical method.IGF can also be applied to identify the coupling relationships between small craters’ shape and their relative features. This paper presents the highlight and shadow pair matching(HSPM) model which manages to perform highprecision automatic recognition of small lunar craters.Testing was performed using the DOM data of Chang’E-2(CE-2). The results have shown that the proposed method has a high level of successful detection rate. The proposed methodology that uses DOM data can complement the drawbacks of the digital elevation model(DEM) that has a relatively high false detection rate. A hybrid fusion model(FUM) that combines both DOM and DEM data, was carried out to simultaneously identify small, medium, and large-sized craters. | 11 | Plasma from healthy donors protects blood-brain barrier integrity via FGF21 and improves the recovery in a mouse model of cerebral ischaemia显示文摘Background Healthy plasma therapy reverses cognitive deficits and promotes neuroplasticity in ageing brain disease.However,whether healthy plasma therapy improve blood-brain barrier integrity after stroke remains unknown.Methods Here,we intravenously injected healthy female mouse plasma into adult female ischaemic stroke C57BL/6 mouse induced by 90 min transient middle cerebral artery occlusion for eight consecutive days.Infarct volume,brain atrophy and neurobehavioural tests were examined to assess the outcomes of plasma treatment.Cell apoptosis,blood-brain barrier integrity and fibroblast growth factor 21 knockout mice were used to explore the underlying mechanism.Results Plasma injection improved neurobehavioural recovery and decreased infarct volume,brain oedema and atrophy after stroke.Immunostaining showed that the number of transferase dUTP nick end labelling+/NeuN+cells decreased in the plasma-injected group.Meanwhile,plasma injection reduced ZO-1,occluding and claudin-5 tight junction gap formation and IgG extravasation at 3 days after ischaemic stroke.Western blot results showed that the FGF21 expression increased in the plasma-injected mice.However,using FGF21 knockout mouse plasma injecting to the ischaemic wild-type mice diminished the neuroprotective effects.Conclusions Our study demonstrated that healthy adult plasma treatment protected the structural and functional integrity of blood-brain barrier,reduced neuronal apoptosis and improved functional recovery via FGF21,opening a new avenue for ischaemic stroke therapy. | Muyassar Mamtilahun Lu Jiang Yaying Song Xiaojing Shi Chang Liu Yixu Jiang Lidong Deng Haoran Zheng Hui Shen Yongfang Li Zhijun Zhang Yongting Wang Yaohui Tang Guo-Yuan Yang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,4: | 1 |

| 20 | Prediction of Lifespan of Tropical Cyclones Landing at China in Spring:A Case Study of Northward-moving-cluster Tracks显示文摘The recurving cluster of tropical cyclones(TCs)landing at China in spring has the characteristics of high frequency,strong intensity,severe influence and long lifespan,a better understanding of tropical cyclone tracks and their underlying mechanisms and more accurate prediction are thus of great value for the prevention and mitigation of TC-related disasters.Based on the best track dataset of typhoon during 1951-2018 from Shanghai Typhoon Institute(STI)of Chinese Meteorological Administration,the tracks of tropical cyclones landfalling over the Chinese coast during 1951-2018 are grouped into three clusters through finite mixture model.The ENSO index,PDO index and the 74 circulation indices of the National Climate Center are analyzed by the classification and regression tree(CART)algorithm for the first TC cluster(the northward-moving cluster).The prediction model based on the results of CART for spring track lifespan is built by a random sampling of the data during the 50 years(about 75%)as a model of the training set,and the training accuracy is 82.46%.The 17-year(about 25%)remaining data are used for testing,with a prediction accuracy of 75%.This study suggests that the finite mixture model algorithm produces a better classification of the northward-going-cluster tracks of TC landfalling over China.In addition,the CART algorithm,which is used for the classification of track lifespan prediction model,not only shows high accuracy,but also the results are easily explained and understood.It provides a novel idea for forecasting the lifespan of tropical cyclones landing at China. | Junhui LI Dawei SHI Yaying PAN Wei WANG | 2020 | Meteorological and Environmental Research2020,11,2: | 0 |
