Liver cancer incidence and mortality in China: Temporal trends and projections to 2030显示文摘Objective: Liver cancer is one of the most common cancers and major cause of cancer deaths in China, which accounts for over 50% of new cases and deaths worldwide. The systematic liver cancer statistics including of projection through 2030 could provide valuable information for prevention and control strategies in China, and experience for other countries. Methods: The burden of liver cancer in China in 2014 was estimated using 339 cancer registries' data selected from Chinese National Cancer Center(NCC).Incident cases of 22 cancer registries were applied for temporal trends from 2000 to 2014.The burden of liver cancer through 2030 was projected using age-period-cohort model. Results: About 364,800 new cases of liver cancer(268,900 males and 95,900 females) occurred in China, and about 318,800 liver cancer deaths(233,500 males and 85,300 females) in 2014.Western regions of China had the highest incidence and mortality rates.Incidence and mortality rates decreased by about 2.3% and 2.6% per year during the period of 2000-2014,respectively,and would decrease by more than 44% between 2014 and 2030 in China. The young generation, particularly for those aged under 40 years, showed a faster down trend. Conclusions: Based on the analysis, incidence and mortality rates of liver cancer are expected to decrease through 2030,but the burden of liver cancer is still serious in China, especially in rural and western areas. Most cases of liver cancer in China can be prevented through vaccination and more prevention efforts should be focused on high risk groups.Rongshou Zheng Chunfeng Qu Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Kexin Sun Xiuying Gu Changfa Xia Zhixun Yang He Li Wenqiang Wei Wanqing Chen Jie He 2018Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,6:132
Breast cancer incidence and mortality in women in China: temporal trends and projections to 2030显示文摘Objective:Breast cancer was the most common cancer and the fifth cause of cancer deaths among women in China in 2015.The evaluation of the long-term incidence and mortality trends and the prediction of the future burden of breast cancer could provide valuable information for developing prevention and control strategies. Methods:The burden of breast cancer in China in 2015 was estimated by using qualified data from 368 cancer registries from the National Central Cancer Registry.Incident cases and deaths in 22 cancer registries were used to assess the time trends from 2000 to 2015.A Bayesian age-period-cohort model was used to project the burden of breast cancer to 2030.Results:Approximately 303,600 new cases of breast cancer(205,100 from urban areas and 98,500 from rural areas)and 70,400 breast cancer deaths(45,100 from urban areas and 24,500 from rural areas)occurred in China in 2015.Urban regions of China had the highest incidence and mortality rates. The most common histological subtype of breast cancer was invasive ductal carcinoma, followed by invasive lobular carcinoma. The age-standardized incidence and mortality rates increased by 3.3%and 1.0%per year during 2000–2015,and were projected to increase by more than 11%until 2030.Changes in risk and demographic factors between 2015 and 2030 in cases are predicted to increase by approximately 13.3%and 22.9%,whereas deaths are predicted to increase by 13.1%and 40.9%,respectively.Conclusions:The incidence and mortality of breast cancer continue to increase in China. There are no signs that this trend will stop by 2030,particularly in rural areas.Effective breast cancer prevention strategies are therefore urgently needed in China.Shaoyuan Lei Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Ru Chen Shaoming Wang Kexin Sun Hongmei Zeng Wenqiang Wei Jie He 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3:53
Global patterns of breast cancer incidence and mortality:A population-based cancer registry data analysis from 2000 to 2020显示文摘Background:Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and leading cause of cancer death among women worldwide but has patterns and trends which vary in different countries. This study aimed to evaluate the global patterns of breast cancer incidence and mortality and analyze its temporal trends for breast cancer prevention and control. Methods:Breast cancer incidence and mortality data in 2020 were obtained from the GLOBOCAN online database.Continued data from the Cancer Incidence in Five Continents Time Trends, the International Agency for Research on cancer mortality and China National Central Cancer Registry were used to analyze the time trends from 2000 to 2015 through Joinpoint regression, and annual average percent changes of breast cancer incidence and mortality were calculated.Association between Human Development Index and breast cancer incidence and mortality were estimated by linear regression. Results:There were approximately 2.3 million new breast cancer cases and 685,000 breast cancer deaths worldwide in 2020.Its incidence and mortality varied among countries, with the age-standardized incidence ranging from the highest of 112.3 per 100,000 population in Belgium to the lowest of 35.8 per 100,000 population in Iran, and the age-standardized mortality from the highest of 41.0 per 100,000 population in Fiji to the lowest of 6.4 per 100,000 population in South Korea. The peak age of breast cancer in some Asian and African countries were over 10 years earlier than in European or American countries. As for the trends of breast cancer, the age-standardized incidence rates significantly increased in China and South Korea but decreased in the United States of America(USA)during 2000-2012.Meanwhile,the age-standardized mortality rates significantly increased in China and South Korea but decreased in the United Kingdom, the USA,and Australia during 2000 and 2015.Conclusions:The global burden of breast cancer is rising fast and varies greatly among countries. The incidence and mortality rates of breast cancer increased rapidly in China and South Korea but decreased in the USA.Increased health awareness, effective prevention strategies, and improved access to medical treatment are extremely important to curb the snowballing breast cancer burden, especially in the most affected countries.Shaoyuan Lei Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Shaoming Wang Ru Chen Kexin Sun Hongmei Zeng Jiachen Zhou Wenqiang Wei 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,11:55
Annual cost of illness of stomach and esophageal cancer patientsin urban and rural areas in China: A multi-center study显示文摘Objective: Stomach and esophageal cancer are imposing huge threats to the health of Chinese people whereas there were few studies on the financial burden of the two cancers. Methods: Costs per hospitalization of all patients with stomach or esophageal cancer discharged between September 2015 and August 2016 in seven cities/counties in China were collected, together with their demographic information and clinical details. Former patients in the same hospitals were sampled to collect information on annual direct non-medical cost, indirect costs and annual number of hospitalization. Annual direct medical cost was obtained by multiplying cost per hospitalization by annual number of hospitalization. Annual cost of illness(ACI)was obtained by adding the average value of annual direct medical cost, direct non-medical cost and indirect cost, stratified by sex, age, clinical stage, therapy and pathologic type in urban and rural areas. Costs per hospitalization were itemized into eight parts to calculate the proportion of each part. All costs were converted to 2016 US dollars(1 USD=6.6423 RMB).Results: Totally 19,986 cases were included, predominately male. Mean ages of stomach cancer and urban patients were lower than that of esophageal cancer and rural patients. ACI of stomach and esophageal cancer patients were $10,449 and $13,029 in urban areas, and $2,927 and $3,504 in rural areas, respectively. Greater ACI was associated with male, non-elderly patients as well as those who were in stage I and underwent surgeries.Western medicine fee took the largest proportion of cost per hospitalization. Conclusions: The ACI of stomach and esophageal cancer was tremendous and varied substantially among the population in China. Preferential policies of medical insurance should be designed to tackle with this burden and further reduce the health care inequalities.Zhixun Yang Hongmei Zeng Ruyi Xia Qian Liu Kexin Sun Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Changfa Xia He Li Shuzheng Liu Zhiyi Zhang Yuqin Liu Guizhou Guo Guohui Song Yigong Zhu Xianghong Wu Bingbing Song Xianzhen Liao Yanfang Chen Wenqiang Wei Guihua Zhuang Wanqing Chen 2018Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,4:22
Colorectal cancer burden and trends:Comparison between China and major burden countries in the world显示文摘Objective:To summarize the colorectal cancer(CRC)burden and trend in the world, and compare the difference of CRC burden between other countries and China. Methods:Incidence and mortality data were extracted from the GLOBOCAN2018 and Cancer Incidence in Five Continents.Age-specific incidence trend was conducted by Joinpoint analysis and average annual percent changes were calculated. Results:About 1.85 million new cases and 0.88 million deaths were expected in 2018 worldwide, including 0.52 million(28.20%)new cases and 0.25 million(28.11%)deaths in China.Hungary had the highest age-standardized incidence and mortality rates in the world, while for China, the incidence and mortality rates were only half of that.CRC incidence and mortality were highly correlated with human development index(HDI).Unlike the rapid increase in Republic of Korea and the downward trend in Canada and Australia, the age-standardized incidence rates by world standard population in China and Norway were rising gradually. The age-specific incidence rate in the age group of 50-59 years in China was increasing rapidly, while in Republic of Korea and Canada, the fastest growing age group was 30-39 years. Conclusions:The variations of CRC burden reflect the difference of risk factors,as well as levels of HDI and screening(early detection activities). The burden of CRC in China is high, and the incidence of CRC continues to increase, which may lead to a sustained increase in the burden of CRC in China in the future.Screening should be expanded to control CRC,and focused on young people in China.Jiachen Zhou Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Shaoming Wang Ru Chen Kexin Sun Minjuan Li Jianhua Gu Guihua Zhuang Wenqiang Wei 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,1:16
Cancer statistics in Chinese older people,2022:current burden, time trends, and comparisons with the US,Japan, and the Republic of Korea显示文摘Largely due to population ageing, the cancer burden from older people has been rising, which imposed considerable pressure on current Chinese healthcare system. We provide comprehensive information about cancer burden of Chinese older people based on the most recent data from National Central Cancer Registry of China. The logarithmic linear regression was used to project the current cancer burden in 2022,and Joinpoint regression was used for temporal trend analysis from 2000 to 2017.We also estimated cancer statistics of older people in the US,Japan and the Republic of Korea for comparisons. It is estimated that 2.79 million cases and 1.94 million deaths occur for Chinese older people, representing 55.8%and 68.2%of cases and deaths in all population in 2022.The overall cancer incidence rate gradually increased among older women, while the mortality rates declined for both sexes.Notably, approximately 10.0%of all cases and 17.7%of all deaths are from people aged over 80 years, and cancer incidence and mortality in this age group showed upward trends for women.Lung cancer and digestive cancers are the leading cancer types for Chinese older people.Compared with other countries,China has lower incidence rates but higher mortality rates for older people. The rapidly growing burden of prostate cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and declines in esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, and liver cancer among older people indicate the cancer pattern in China is being in a transition stage to that in developed countries. Our findings imply that it should be the national health priority to meet the growing demands for cancer diagnosis, treatment and care services from the older people as the rapid population ageing in next few decades.Wen Ju Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Kexin Sun Shaoming Wang Ru Chen Li Li Wenqiang Wei Jie He 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5:15
Prostate cancer in Asia:A collaborative report显示文摘The incidence of prostate cancer(PCa)within Asian population used to be much lower than in the Western population;however,in recent years the incidence and mortality rate of PCa in some Asian countries have grown rapidly. This collaborative report summarized the latest epidemiology information, risk factors, and racial differences in PCa diagnosis, current status and new trends in surgery management and novel agents for castration-resistant prostate cancer. We believe such information would be helpful in clinical decision making for urologists and oncologists,health-care ministries and medical researchers.Rui Chen Shancheng Ren Ming Kwong Yiu Ng Chi Fai Wai Sam Cheng Lap Hong Ian Seiji Naito Tadashi Matsuda Elijah Kehinde Ali Kural Jason Yichun Chiu Rainy Umbas Qiang Wei Xiaolei Shi Liqun Zhou Jian Huang Yiran Huang Liping Xie Lulin Ma Changjun Yin Danfeng Xu Kexin Xu Zhangqun Ye Chunxiao Liu Dingwei Ye Xin Gao Qiang Fu Jianquan Hou Jianlin Yuan Dalin He Tiejun Pan Qiang Ding Fengshuo Jin Benkang Shi Gongxian Wang Xiuheng Liu Dongwen Wang Zhoujun Shen Xiangbo Kong Wanhai Xu Yaoliang Deng Haibo Xia Alexa NCohen Xu Gao Chuanliang Xu Yinghao Sun 2014Asian Journal of Urology2014,1,1:13
Effect of spinal manipulation on degenerative scoliosis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of spinal manipulation(SM)on degenerative scoliosis by evaluating patients’visual analog scale(VAS)scores,Cobb angles, sagittal vertical axis(SVA),and apical vertebral rotation(AVR)and to explore factors that influence treatment effect.METHODS:A total of 55 patients with degenerative scoliosis received 4 weeks of SM.After treatment, patients were divided into two groups:the remission group(VAS score<40 mm)and the non-remission group(VAS score≥40 mm).Pre-versus post-treatment VAS scores,Cobb angles,SVA,and AVR were compared in each group and in the total population.Baseline data(sex, age, symptom characteristics, duration of symptoms,VAS score,Cobb angle,SVA,and AVR)were compared between groups.Factors influencing the post-treatment VAS score were explored with multiple linear regression analysis.RESULTS:No changes were found in the Cobb angle(P=0.722)or AVR(P=0.424)after intervention in the overall population. However, the SVA(P<0.001)and VAS score(P=0.000)changed significantly after treatment.Similar changes were observed in the remission group(n=29).Multiple linear regression revealed that the only factors influencing treatment effect were symptom characteristics,SVA,and VAS score.CONCLUSION:SM relieved pain and improved sagittal imbalance in patients with degenerative scoliosis. It did not lessen the severity of coronal curvature or vertebral rotation.Factors influencing the effect of SM included symptom characteristics,VAS score, and SVA.A larger randomized trial is needed to further confirm our results.Sun Wu Gao Jinghua Zhu Liguo Wang Baojian Xiao Wei Wang Zhenzhong Yang Kexin 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:8
Highly sensitive detection of melamine based on reversed phase liquid chromatography mass spectrometry显示文摘In this work, we developed a highly sensitive method to detect melamine based on reversed phase liquid chromatography mass spectrometry. A mass spectrometry compatible ion pair, heptafluorobu-tyric acid(HFBA), was used to separate melamine by reversed phase liquid chromatography prior to electrospray mass spectrometry. The incorporation of isotope internal standard and multiple reaction monitoring improved the accuracy and linearity of quantification. Based on this strategy, the method limit of quantification was 0.1 ng/g. The limits of quantification were 8 ng/g for liquid milk and 15 ng/g for dry milk powder. This method provided a reproducible and stable approach to sensitive detection and quantification of melamine.WU QingQing FAN KeXin SHA Wei RUAN HongQiang ZENG Rong SHIEH ChiaHui 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,5:7
Crystalline boron nitride nanosheets by sonication-assisted hydrothermal exfoliation显示文摘A simple method to prepare two-dimensional hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN) scalably is essential for practical applications. Despite intense research in this area, high-yield production of two-dimensional h-BN with large size and high crystallinity is still a key challenge. In the present work, we propose a simple exfoliation process for boron nitride nanosheets(BNNSs) with high crystallinity by sonication-assisted hydrothermal method, via the synergistic effect of the high pressure, and cavitation of the sonication. Compared with the method only by sonication, the sonication-assisted hydrothermal method can get the fewer-layer BNNSs with high crystallinity.Meanwhile, it can reach higher yield of nearly 1.68%, as the hydrothermal method with the yield of only 0.12%. The simple sonication-assisted hydrothermal method has potential applications in exfoliating other layered materials, thus opening new ways to produce other layered materials in high yield and high crystallinity.Zhaobo TIAN Kexin CHEN Siyuan SUN Jie ZHANG Wei CUI Zhipeng XIE Guanghua LIU 2019Journal of Advanced Ceramics2019,8,1:7
Prediction of the conducted EMI in PWM converter system with parasitic parameters considered显示文摘This paper presents a new approach for modeling of the conducted electromagnetic interference(EMI) prediction for widely used converter systems.Coupling paths and mechanism of differential mode(DM) interference and common mode(CM) interference have been analyzed.Models to predict the high-frequency noise of PWM converter system are created.A direct calculation method in frequency domain is proposed for the deduction of frequency spectrum.A method is given for obtaining the parasitic parameters and topological structure of the model. An experimental investigation of the conducted emission from an actual high-power rectifier system is described. The validity of the models is confirmed by comparison to laboratory measurements.LIANG Bin WEI KeXin YUE YouJun 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,10:6
Trends in Incidence Rates,Mortality Rates, and Age-Period-Cohort Effects of Cervical Cancer—China,2003–2017显示文摘Introduction:This study reported the trends and analyzed the age-period-cohort effects on the incidence and mortality rates of cervical cancer in China. Methods:The age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR)and mortality rate(ASMR)by Segi’s world standard population were calculated using qualified consecutive data from 22 cancer registries from 2003 to 2017 in China. We performed joinpoint analysis to describe the trends and age-period-cohort analysis to estimate the independent effects of age, period and cohort on trends in incidence and mortality rates of cervical cancer. Results:The ASIR and ASMR for cervical cancer in females over 20 years old increased during 2003−2017.For females<50 years,a decreasing trend in ASIR and a stable trend in ASMR were observed in urban areas after 2009.But the ASIR and ASMR kept increasing in rural areas during the whole period. For females>50 years, the ASIR and ASMR increased both in urban and rural areas.Age-period-cohort analysis showed increasing period effects on cervical cancer incidence and mortality during the whole period. The cohort effects exhibited a downward-upwarddownward pattern for the incidence(1918–1938,1938–1963,1963–1993)and mortality rates(1918–1943,1943–1963,1963–1993)in urban areas,a fluctuating pattern for incidence rate and a continuing downward pattern for mortality rate(1918–1993)in rural areas. Conclusions:The increases in cervical cancer incidence and mortality rates can be mostly explained by period effects. We observed decreases in risk for cervical cancer incidence and mortality in young female generations, which were more obvious in urban areas.Kexin Sun Rongshou Zheng Lin Lei Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Shaoming Wang Li Li Ru Chen Bingfeng Han Ji Peng Wenqiang Wei Jie He 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,48:4
Hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma incidence between 2006 and 2015 in China: estimates based on data from 188 population-based cancer registries显示文摘Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC)are the most common subtypes of primary liver cancer, but nationwide incidence of both liver cancer subtypes have never been reported in China. We aimed to estimate the most recent incidence of HCC and ICC and temporal trends in China based on the most updated data from high qualified population-based cancer registries(covering 13.1%of the national population),in comparison to those in the United States at the same period. Methods:We used data from 188 Chinese population-based cancer registries covering 180.6 million population of China to estimate the nationwide incidence of HCC and ICC in 2015.And 22 population-based cancer registries’data were used to estimate the trends of HCC and ICC incidence from 2006 to 2015.Multiple imputation by chained equations method was used to impute liver cancer cases with unknown subtype(50.8%).We used data from 18 population-based registries from the Surveillance,Epidemiology, and End Results program to analyze incidence of HCC and ICC in the United States. Results:In China,an estimated 301,500 and 61,900 newly diagnosed HCC and ICC occurred in 2015.The overall age-standardized rates(ASRs)of HCC incidence decreased by 3.9%per year. For ICC incidence, the overall ASR was relatively stable, but increased in the population of over 65 years old.Subgroup analysis by age showed that the ASR of HCC incidence had the sharpest decline in population who were less than 14 years old and received neonatally hepatitis B virus(HBV)vaccination. In the United States, though the incidence of HCC and ICC were lower than those in China, the overall HCC and ICC incidence increased by 3.3%and 9.2%per year. Conclusions:China still faces with a heavy burden of liver cancer incidence. Our results may further support the beneficial effect of Hepatitis B vaccination on reduction of HCC incidence. Both healthy lifestyle promotion and infection control are needed for future liver cancer control and prevention for China and the United States.Lan An Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Ru Chen Shaoming Wang Kexin Sun Lingeng Lu Xuehong Zhang Hong Zhao Hongmei Zeng Wenqiang Wei Jie He 2023Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2023,12,1:4
High-throughput sequencing analysis of the regulation of intestinal flora in giant pandas with indigestion using a probiotic agent LyPB显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the eff ect of LyPB on the intestinal microfl ora of giant pandas with indigestion, using high-throughput sequencing(HTS)technology. The species distribution and microfl oral density and diversity before and after administration of the LyPB probiotic agent were analyzed.LyPB evidently has the ability to adjust the fl oral imbalance in the panda’s intestine. To test the eff ects of LyPB on the microfl ora of the panda gut, fecal samples were taken from a healthy giant panda(Anan)without administration of LyPB and from a dyspeptic giant panda Yangyang before and after LyPB administration.Compared with the sample obtained from healthy Anan(anan-c)and that obtained from dyspeptic Yangyang before LyPB administration(yangyang1),the sample taken from Yangyang(yangyang2)after LyPB administration displayed a signifi cant increase in the operational taxonomic unit index. An increase in the Chao index indicated an increase in the microfl oral richness, while an increase in the Shannon index indicated an increase in microfl oral diversity. At phylum and genus levels,a signifi cant increase was observed in the density of probiotic bacteria of phylum fi rmicutes, genus Streptococcus, while a drastic reduction in the density of Escherichia coli/Escherichia coli Shigella/bacteria of genus Shigella was observed.Data obtained in this study shows that LyPB preparations successfully improve the microbial structure within the panda’s intestinal canal by signifi cantly increasing the eff ective microbial community and decreasing the number of pathogenic microbes.Yu Zhang Zhi Zhang Jianzhang Ma Bo Luo Guiquan Zhang Guocai Zhang Kexin Yang Gang Wei 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,6:3
MOFs fertilized transition-metallic single-atom electrocatalysts for highly-efficient oxygen reduction: Spreading the synthesis strategies and advanced identification显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have been widely used in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) of fuel cells and metal-air batteries, attributed to their unique structures and compositions. Recently, the preparation of transition-metallic single-atom electrocatalysts(TM-SACs) using MOFs as precursors or templates has made great progress. Herein, the development history of SACs prepared based on MOFs and their characterization are overviewed firstly, and then several strategies are summarized for preparing TM-SACs using MOFs and further modification. Finally, the challenges and opportunities confronted by TM-SACs are fully discussed. Consequently, our work can guide the realization of TM-SACs abundant with high activity, high loading and high stability.Kexin Song Yu Feng Wei Zhang Weitao Zheng 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,4:2
Apparent ages of suspended sediment and soil erosion of the Pearl River (Zhujiang) drainage basin显示文摘The carbon isotopic composition (Δ 14 C,δ 13 C) and apparent ages of suspended sediment were determined in the Pearl River in the years 1998,2000 and 2005.These results indicate that suspended POC consists mostly of young carbon and some 'old carbon'.Apparent ages of suspended POC range from 540 to 2050 a BP.The apparent ages are older in the Xijiang and Beijiang Rivers, while these values are variable in the Dongjiang River, including old and young samples. The suspended POCδ 13 C values increase with increasing Δ 14 C in the Pearl River, indicating that its source is soil and bedrock from depths under 15 30 cm.Since the organic carbon of the surface soil is quickly decomposed when it enters the rivers, its carbon isotopic characteristics are insignificant in suspended sediment. In the Pearl River drainage basin, there are areas with more severe soil erosion than others. For example, erosion is much more severe in the Xijiang River drainage basin when compared to the light soil erosion in the Dongjiang River drainage basin.WEI XiuGuo SHEN ChengDe LI NingLi WANG FuShun DING Ping WANG Ning GUO ZhiXing LIU KeXin 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,15:2
From Micropores to Ultra-micropores inside Hard Carbon: Toward Enhanced Capacity in Room-/ Low-Temperature Sodium-Ion Storage显示文摘Pore structure of hard carbon has a fundamental influence on the electrochemical properties in sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).Ultra-micropores(<0.5 nm)of hard carbon can function as ionic sieves to reduce the diffusion of slovated Na+but allow the entrance of naked Na^(+) into the pores, which can reduce the interficial contact between the electrolyte and the inner pores without sacrificing the fast diffusion kinetics.Herein,a molten diffusion-carbonization method is proposed to transform the micropores(>1 nm)inside carbon into ultra-micropores(<0.5 nm).Consequently, the designed carbon anode displays an enhanced capacity of 346 mAh g^(−1) at 30 mA g^(−1) with a high ICE value of~80.6%and most of the capacity(~90%)is below 1 V.Moreover, the high-loading electrode(~19 mg cm^(−2))exhibits a good temperature endurance with a high areal capacity of 6.14 mAh cm^(−2) at 25℃ and 5.32 mAh cm^(−2) at −20℃.Based on the in situ X-ray diffraction and ex situ solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance results, the designed ultra-micropores provide the extra Na+storage sites, which mainly contributes to the enhanced capacity. This proposed strategy shows a good potential for the development of high-performance SIBs.Jinlin Yang Xiaowei Wang Wenrui Dai Xu Lian Xinhang Cui Weichao Zhang Kexin Zhang Ming Lin Ruqiang Zou Kian Ping Loh Quan-Hong Yang Wei Chen 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,6:2
Associations between cancer family history and esophageal cancer and precancerous lesions in high-risk areas of China显示文摘Background:Family clustering of esophageal cancer(EC)has been found in high-risk areas of China. However, the relationships between cancer family history and esophageal cancer and precancerous lesions(ECPL)have not been comprehensively reported in recent years. This study aimed to provide evidence for identification of high-risk populations. Methods:This study was conducted in five high-risk areas in China from 2017 to 2019,based on the National Cohort of Esophageal Cancer. The permanent residents aged 40 to 69 years were examined by endoscopy, and pathological examination was performed for suspicious lesions.Information on demographic characteristics, environmental factors, and cancer family history was collected.Unconditional logistic regression was applied to evaluate odds ratios between family history related factors and ECPL.Results:Among 33,008 participants,6143(18.61%)reported positive family history of EC.The proportion of positive family history varied significantly among high-risk areas. After adjusting for risk factors, participants with a family history of positive cancer, gastric and esophageal cancer or EC had 1.49-fold(95%confidence interval[CI]:1.36-1.62),1.52-fold(95%CI:1.38-1.67),or 1.66-fold(95%CI:1.50-1.84)higher risks of ECPL,respectively.Participants with single or multiple first-degree relatives(FDR)of positive EC history had 1.65-fold(95%CI:1.47-1.84)or 1.93-fold(95%CI:1.46-2.54)higher risks of ECPL.Participants with FDRs who developed EC before 35,45,and 50 years of age had 4.05-fold(95%CI:1.30-12.65),2.11-fold(95%CI:1.37-3.25),and 1.91-fold(95%CI:1.44-2.54)higher risks of ECPL,respectively. Conclusions:Participants with positive family history of EC had significantly higher risk of ECPL.This risk increased with the number of EC positive FDRs and EC family history of early onset.Distinctive genetic risk factors of the population in high-risk areas of China require further investigation.Trial registration:ChiCTR-EOC-17010553.Jiachen Zhou Kexin Sun Shaoming Wang Ru Chen Minjuan Li Jianhua Gu Zhiyuan Fan Guihua Zhuang Wenqiang Wei 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,7:2

Trends in Incidence Rates,Mortality Rates, and Age-Period-Cohort Effects of Female Breast Cancer—China,2003-2017显示文摘Introduction:This study reported the trends in female breast cancer incidence and mortality rates in China, and analyzed the corresponding age-periodcohort effects. Methods:Data from 22 population-based cancer registries in China between 2003 and 2017 were analyzed.Age-standardized incidence rates(ASIR)and mortality rates(ASMR)were calculated using Segi’s world standard population.Joinpoint regression was employed to evaluate trends, and age-period-cohort effects were examined using the intrinsic estimator method. Results:The ASIR for female breast cancer exhibited a more rapid increase in rural areas compared to urban areas across all age groups. The most substantial increase was observed in the 20-34 age group in rural areas[annual percent change(APC)=9.0%,95%confidence interval(CI):7.0%-11.0%,P<0.001].The ASMR for females under 50 years old remained stable from 2003 to 2017 in both urban and rural areas. However, the ASMR for females over 50 in rural areas and those over 65 in urban areas demonstrated a significant increase, with the most pronounced increase observed among females over 65 in rural areas(APC=4.9%,95%CI:2.8%-7.0%,P<0.001).Age-period-cohort analysis revealed increasing period effects and decreasing cohort effects for female breast cancer incidence and mortality rates in both urban and rural settings.Notably, the cohort effect for incidence displayed a slight upward trend for females born between 1983 and 1992 in rural areas. Conclusions:Our study revealed a rapid increase in breast cancer incidence among younger generations and an accelerated mortality rate in older populations residing in rural areas. To effectively address the growing burden of female breast cancer in China,it is essential to develop and implement targeted intervention strategies.Kexin Sun Lin Lei Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Hongmei Zeng Shaoming Wang Li Li Ru Chen Bingfeng Han Ji Peng Wenqiang Wei Jie He 2023China CDC weekly2023,5,15:1
