2Sepiolite/Cu_2O/Cu photocatalyst: Preparation and high performance for degradation of organic dye显示文摘A novel ternary sepiolite/Cu_2O/Cu(SCC) nanocomposite was successfully synthesized by a facile one-pot method. The Cu_2O/Cu nanoparticles in the SCC nanocomposite are well dispersed on the sepiolite surface. It exhibited enhanced photocatalytic performance in the degradation of congo red(CR), remarkably superior to that of Cu_2O or Cu_2O/Cu nanoparticles. Elemental copper in the SCC serves as a good electron acceptor to promote the transfer of photo-generated electrons in Cu_2O and suppress the recombination of the photo-generated electrons and holes of the composite. The enhanced photocatalytic efficiency is attributed to the synergistic effect of sepiolite and Cu_2O/Cu. 3Evaluation of the Global and Regional Assimilation and Prediction System for Predicting Sea Fog over the South China Sea显示文摘In the South China Sea, sea fog brings severe disasters every year, but forecasters have yet to implement an effective seafog forecast. To address this issue, we test a liquid-water-content-only(LWC-only) operational sea-fog prediction method based on a regional mesoscale numerical model with a horizontal resolution of about 3 km, the Global and Regional Assimilation and Prediction System(GRAPES), hereafter GRAPES-3 km. GRAPES-3 km models the LWC over the sea, from which we infer the visibility that is then used to identify fog. We test the GRAPES-3 km here against measurements in 2016 and 2017 from coastal-station observations, as well as from buoy data, data from the Integrated Observation Platform for Marine Meteorology, and retrieved fog and cloud patterns from Himawari-8 satellite data. For two cases that we examine in detail, the forecast region of sea fog overlaps well with the multi-observational data within 72 h. Considering forecasting for0–24 h, GRAPES-3 km has a 2-year-average equitable threat score(ETS) of 0.20 and a Heidke skill score(HSS) of 0.335,which is about 5.6%(ETS) and 6.4%(HSS) better than our previous method(GRAPES-MOS). 7NudCL2 is an autophagy receptor that mediates selective autophagic degradation of CP110 at mother centrioles to promote ciliogenesis显示文摘Primary cilia extending from mother centrioles are essential for vertebrate development and homeostasis maintenance.Centriolar coiled-coil protein 110(CP110)has been reported to suppress ciliogenesis Initiation by capping the distal ends of mother centrioles.However,the mechanism underlying the specific degradation of mother centriole-capping CP110 to promote cilia initiation remains unknown.Here,we find that autophagy is crucial for CP110 degradation at mother centrioles after serum starvation in MEF cells.We further identify NudC-like protein 2(NudCL2)as a novel selective autophagy receptor at mother centrioles,which contains an LC3-interacting region(UR)motif mediating the association of CP110 and the autophagosome marker LC3.Knockout of NudCL2 induces defects in the removal of CP110 from mother centrioles and ciliogenesis,which are rescued by wild-type NudCL2 but not its UR motif mutant.Knockdown of CP110 significantly attenuates ciliogenesis defects in NudCL2-deficient cells.In addition,NudCL2 morphants exhibit ciliation-related phenotypes in zebrafish,which are reversed by wild-type NudCL2,but not its UR motif mutant.Importantly,CP110 depletion significantly reverses these ciliary phenotypes in NudCL2 morphants.Taken together,our data suggest that NudCL2 functions as an autophagy receptor mediating the selective degradation of mother centriole-capping CP110 to promote ciliogenesis,which is indispensable for embryo development in vertebrates.Min Liu Wen Zhang Min Li Jiaxing Feng Wenjun Kuang Xiying Chen Feng Yang Qiang Sun Zhangqi Xu Jianfeng Hua Chunxia Yang Wei Liu Qiang Shu Yuehong Yang Tianhua Zhou Shanshan Xie 2021Cell Research2021,31,11:1
8Activating transcription factor 4 protects mice against sepsis-induced intestinal injury by regulating gut-resident macrophages differentiation显示文摘Background: Gut-resident macrophages (gMacs) supplemented by monocytes-to-gMacs differentiation play a critical role in maintaining intestinal homeostasis. Activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4) is involved in immune cell differentiation. We therefore set out to investigate the role of ATF4-regulated monocytes-to-gMacs differentiation in sepsis-induced intestinal injury.Methods: Sepsis was induced in C57BL/6 wild type (WT) mice andAtf4-knockdown (Atf4+/-) mice by cecal ligation and puncture or administration of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Colon, peripheral blood mononuclear cells, sera, lung, liver, and mesenteric lymph nodes were collected for flow cytometry, hematoxylin and eosin staining, immunohistochemistry, quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, respectively.Results: CD64, CD11b, Ly6C, major histocompatibility complex-II (MHC-II), CX3CR1, Ly6G, and SSC were identified as optimal primary markers for detecting the process of monocytes-to-gMacs differentiation in the colon of WT mice. Monocytes-to-gMacs differentiation was impaired in the colon during sepsis and was associated with decreased expression of ATF4 in P1 (Ly6Chi monocytes), the precursor cells of gMacs.Atf4 knockdown exacerbated the impairment of monocytes-to-gMacs differentiation in response to LPS, resulting in a significant reduction of gMacs in the colon. Furthermore, compared with WT mice,Atf4+/- mice exhibited higher pathology scores, increased expression of inflammatory factor genes (TNF-α, IL-1β), suppressed expression of CD31 and vascular endothelial-cadherin in the colon, and increased translocation of intestinal bacteria to lymph nodes and lungs following exposure to LPS. 9FMO3-TMAO axis modulates the clinical outcome in chronic heart-failure patients with reduced ejection fraction:evidence from an Asian population显示文摘The association among plasma trimethylamine-N-oxide(TMAO),FMO3 polymorphisms,and chronic heart failure(CHF)remains to be elucidated.TMAO is a microbiota-dependent metabolite from dietary choline and carnitine.A prospective study was performed including 955 consecutively diagnosed CHF patients with reduced ejection fraction,with the longest follow-up of 7 years.The concentrations of plasma TMAO and its precursors,namely,choline and carnitine,were determined by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry,and the FMO3 E158K polymorphisms(rs2266782)were genotyped.The top tertile of plasma TMAO was associated with a significant increment in hazard ratio(HR)for the composite outcome of cardiovascular death or heart transplantation(HR=1.47,95%CI=1.13-1.91,P=0.004)compared with the lowest tertile.After adjustments of the potential confounders,higher TMAO could still be used to predict the risk of the primary endpoint(adjusted HR=1.33,95%CI=1.01-1.74,P=0.039).This result was also obtained after further adjustment for carnitine(adjusted HR=1.33,95%CI=1.01-1.74,P=0.039).The FM03 rs2266782 polymorphism was associated with the plasma TMAO concentrations in our cohort,and lower TMAO levels were found in the AA-genotype.Thus,higher plasma TMAO levels indicated increased risk of the composite outcome of cardiovascular death or heart transplantation independent of potential confounders,and the FMO3 AA-genotype in rs2266782 was related to lower plasma TMAO levels.Haoran Wei Mingming Zhao Man Huang Chenze Li Jianing Gao Ting Yu Qi Zhang Xiaoqing Shen Liang Ji Li Ni Chunxia Zhao Zeneng Wang Erdan Dong Lemin Zheng Dao Wen Wang 2022Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,2:0
10Identification of differential metabolites in liquid diet fermented with Bacillus subtilis using gas chromatography time of flight mass spectrometry显示文摘Growth and health responses of pigs fed fermented liquid diet are not always consistent and causes for this issue are still not very clear. Metabolites produced at different fermentation time points should be one of the most important contributors. However, currently no literatures about differential metabolites of fermented liquid diet are reported. The aim of this experiment was to explore the difference of metabolites in a fermented liquid diet between different fermentation time intervals. A total of eighteen samples that collected from Bacillus subtilis fermented liquid diet on days 7, 21 and 35 respectively were used for the identification of metabolites by gas chromatography time of flight mass spectrometry(GCTOF-MS). Fifteen differential metabolites including melibiose, sortitol, ribose, cellobiose, maltotriose,sorbose, iso maltose, maltose, fructose, D-glycerol-1-phosphate, 4-aminobutyric acid, beta-alanine, tyrosine, pyruvic acid and pantothenic acid were identified between 7-d samples and 21-d samples. The relative level of melibiose, ribose, maltotriose, D-glycerol-1-phosphate, tyrosine and pyruvic acid in samples collected on day 21 was significantly higher than that in samples collected on day 7(P < 0.01),respectively. Eight differential metabolites including ribose, sorbose, galactinol, cellobiose, pyruvic acid,galactonic acid, pantothenic acid and guanosine were found between 21-d samples and 35-d samples.Samples collected on day 35 had a higher relative level of ribose than that in samples collected on day 21(P < 0.01), In conclusion, many differential metabolites which have important effects on the growth and health of pigs are identified and findings contribute to explain the difference in feeding response of fermented liquid diet.Yuyong He Chunxia Mao Zhiyu Chen Hong Wen Wei Lu Huadong Wu 2016Animal Nutrition2016,,4:0
11Effects of Al and Co doping on the structural stability and high temperature cycling performance of LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4) spinel cathode materials显示文摘The poor structural stability and capacity retention of the high-voltage spinel-type LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)(LNMO)limits their further application.Herein,Al and Co were doped in LNMO materials for a more stable structure and capacity.The LNMO,LiNi_(0.45)Al_(0.05)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)(LNAMO)and LiNi_(0.45)Co_(0.05)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)(LNCMO)were synthesized by calcination at 900℃ for 8 h,which was called as solid-phase method and applied universally in industry.XRD,FT-IR and CV test results showed the synthesized samples have cation disordering Fd-3m space group structures.Moreover,the incorporation of Al and Co increased the cation disordering of LNMO,thereby increasing the transfer rate of Li+.The SEM results showed that the doped samples performed more regular and ortho-octahedral.The EDS elemental analysis confirmed the uniform distribution of each metal element in the samples.Moreover,the doped samples showed better electrochemical properties than undoped LNMO.The LNAMO and LNCMO samples were discharged with specific capacities of 116.3 mA·h·g^(-1)and 122.8 mA·h·g^(-1)at 1 C charge/discharge rate with good capacity retention of 95.8% and 94.8% after 200 cycles at room temperature,respectively.The capacity fading phenomenon of the doped samples at 50℃ and 1 C rate was significantly improved.Further,cations doping also enhanced the rate performance,especially for the LNCMO,the discharge specific capacity of 117.9 mA·h·g^(-1)can be obtained at a rate of 5 C.Jianfeng Cheng Meixuan Li Yutong Wang Jiexiang Li Jiawei Wen Chunxia Wang Guoyong Huang 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,61,9:0
