| 3 | Sepiolite/Cu_2O/Cu photocatalyst: Preparation and high performance for degradation of organic dye显示文摘A novel ternary sepiolite/Cu_2O/Cu(SCC) nanocomposite was successfully synthesized by a facile one-pot method. The Cu_2O/Cu nanoparticles in the SCC nanocomposite are well dispersed on the sepiolite surface. It exhibited enhanced photocatalytic performance in the degradation of congo red(CR), remarkably superior to that of Cu_2O or Cu_2O/Cu nanoparticles. Elemental copper in the SCC serves as a good electron acceptor to promote the transfer of photo-generated electrons in Cu_2O and suppress the recombination of the photo-generated electrons and holes of the composite. The enhanced photocatalytic efficiency is attributed to the synergistic effect of sepiolite and Cu_2O/Cu. | 4 | Clinical curative effect of fuzi-cake-separated moxibustion for preventing dysuria after operation for lower limb fracture显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the clinical curative effect of fuzi-cake-separated moxibustion at Zhongji(CV 3)and Guanyuan(CV 4) for preventing dysuria after internal fixation of lower limb fractures.METHODS: Sixty patients conforming to the inclusion standards were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=30) and a control group(n=30).Fuzi-cake-separated moxibustion was performed at Guanyuan(CV 4) and Zhongji(CV 3), 20 min at a time, twice a day, for 3 days before operation in the treatment group. No fuzi-cake-separated moxibustion was performed in the control group. After treatment, the score for symptoms of first urination, urinary time, urinary volume, 24 h remaining urinary volume, incidence of uroschesis, and rate of controlling dysuria were compared to evaluate the curative effect of preventing post-operative dysuria.RESULTS: The score for symptoms of first urination,24 h remaining urinary volume(maximum 120 m L vs 250 m L, and less than 10 m L in 24 cases vs 15 cases), and the rate of controlling dysuria(83.34% vs30%) were significantly better(P<0.05, P<0.05, and P<0.001, respectively) in the treatment compared with the control group. With the development of complex networks, how to evaluate the effectiveness and invulnerability of these networks becomes an important research topic. The relationship among many influencing factors is very complicated, so it is essential to confirm the weighting coefficient of these influencing factors. Principal component analysis(PCA) is proposed to evaluate the performance of complex networks. It can improve one-sidedness of the single evaluation index and select different evaluation models according to different complex networks, which make the evaluation result more accurate. Performance of complex networks can be predicted according to comprehensive evaluation model. To verify the rationality and validity of this method, several small-world networks with different probability values and scale-free network are chosen to evaluate the network performance. | 17 | Seasonality and Sex-Biased Fluctuation of Birth Weight in Tibetan Populations显示文摘Birth weight(BW)is a key determinant of infant mortality.Previous studies have reported seasonal fluctuation of BW.However,the responsible environmental factors remain disputable.High-altitude environment provides a great opportunity to test the current hypotheses due to its distinctive climate conditions.We collected BW data of~9000 Tibetan singletons born at Lhasa(elevation:3660 m)from 2014 to 2018.Using regression models,we analyzed BW seasonality of highland Tibetans.Multivariate models with meteorological factors as independent variables were employed to examine responsible environmental factors accounting for seasonal variation.We compared BW,low-BW prevalence and sex ratio between high-land and lowland populations,and we observed a significant seasonal pattern of BW in Tibetans,with a peak in winter and a trough in summer.Notably,there is a marked sex-biased pattern of BW seasonality(more striking in males than in females).Sunlight exposure in the 3rd trimester and barometric pressure exposure in the 2nd trimester are significantly correlated with BW,and the latter can be explained by seasonal change of oxygen partial pressure.In particular,due to the male-biased BW seasonality,we found a more serious BW reduction and higher prevalence of low-BW in males,and a skewed sex ratio in highlanders.The infant BW of highland Tibetans has a clear pattern of seasonality.The winter BW is larger than the summer BW,due to the longer sunlight exposure during the late-trimester.Male infants are more sensitive to hypoxia than female infants during the 2nd trimester,leading to more BW reduction and higher mortality. | Yaoxi He Jun Li Tian Yue Wangshan Zheng Yongbo Guo Hui Zhang Li Chen Chunxia Li Hongyan Li Chaoying Cui Ouzhuluobu Xuebin Qi Bing Su | 2022 | Phenomics2022,2,1: | 0 |
| 18 | FMO3-TMAO axis modulates the clinical outcome in chronic heart-failure patients with reduced ejection fraction:evidence from an Asian population显示文摘The association among plasma trimethylamine-N-oxide(TMAO),FMO3 polymorphisms,and chronic heart failure(CHF)remains to be elucidated.TMAO is a microbiota-dependent metabolite from dietary choline and carnitine.A prospective study was performed including 955 consecutively diagnosed CHF patients with reduced ejection fraction,with the longest follow-up of 7 years.The concentrations of plasma TMAO and its precursors,namely,choline and carnitine,were determined by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry,and the FMO3 E158K polymorphisms(rs2266782)were genotyped.The top tertile of plasma TMAO was associated with a significant increment in hazard ratio(HR)for the composite outcome of cardiovascular death or heart transplantation(HR=1.47,95%CI=1.13-1.91,P=0.004)compared with the lowest tertile.After adjustments of the potential confounders,higher TMAO could still be used to predict the risk of the primary endpoint(adjusted HR=1.33,95%CI=1.01-1.74,P=0.039).This result was also obtained after further adjustment for carnitine(adjusted HR=1.33,95%CI=1.01-1.74,P=0.039).The FM03 rs2266782 polymorphism was associated with the plasma TMAO concentrations in our cohort,and lower TMAO levels were found in the AA-genotype.Thus,higher plasma TMAO levels indicated increased risk of the composite outcome of cardiovascular death or heart transplantation independent of potential confounders,and the FMO3 AA-genotype in rs2266782 was related to lower plasma TMAO levels. | Haoran Wei Mingming Zhao Man Huang Chenze Li Jianing Gao Ting Yu Qi Zhang Xiaoqing Shen Liang Ji Li Ni Chunxia Zhao Zeneng Wang Erdan Dong Lemin Zheng Dao Wen Wang | 2022 | Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,2: | 0 |
