| 1 | The potential of Clostridium autoethanogenum,a new single cell protein,in substituting fish meal in the diet of largemouth bass(Micropterus salmoides):Growth,feed utilization and intestinal histology显示文摘This study investigated the effects of replacing fishmeal with Clostridium autoethanogenum protein(CAP)on growth,feed utilization and intestinal histology of largemouth bass(Micropterus salmoides).The control diet contained 350 g/kg fishmeal,and then dietary fishmeal was decreased to 300 g/kg,250 g/kg,200 g/kg,150 g/kg and 100 g/kg by CAP inclusion,respectively(FM-30,FM-25,FM-20,FM-15,FM-10).The largemouth bass(110.0±1.0 g)were fed one of the six diets for 8 weeks.The groups of FM-30,FM-25 and FM-20 showed the similar weight gain(WG)and feed conversion ratio(FCR)to the control(P>0.05),while the WG of FM-10 group was decreased by 15.9%,and FCR increased by 0.12 when compared to the control(P<0.05).FM-15 and FM-10 groups had lower protein retention,lower villus height in intestine and higher serum malondialdehyde content than the control(P<0.05).The protease activity in FM-20,FM-15 and FM-10 groups was lower than that in the control(P<0.05),but no difference was observed in crude protein digestibility among groups(P>0.05).In conclusion,CAP could replace 150 g/kg fishmeal in diet(350 g/kg fishmeal)without adverse effects on growth,feed utilization and intestinal histology of largemouth bass. | Pinxian Yang Xiaoqin Li Bowen Song Ming He Chaoyi Wu Xiangjun Leng | 2023 | Aquaculture and Fisheries2023,8,1: | 6 |

| 5 | High-Performance 3-D Fiber Network Composite Electrolyte Enabled with Li-Ion Conducting Nanofibers and Amorphous PEO-Based Cross-Linked Polymer for Ambient All-Solid-State Lithium-Metal Batteries显示文摘Solid electrolytes have gained attention recently for the development of next-generation Li-ion batteries since they can fun-damentally improve the battery stability and safety.Among various types of solid electrolytes,composite solid electrolytes(CSEs)exhibit both high ionic conductivity and excellent interfacial contact with the electrodes.Incorporating active nanofib-ers into the polymer matrix demonstrates an effective method to fabricate CSEs.However,current CSEs based on traditional poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)polymer suffer from the poor ionic conductivity of PEO and agglomeration effect of inorganic fillers at high concentrations,which limit further improvements in Li+conductivity and electrochemical stability.Herein,we synthesize a novel PEO based cross-linked polymer(CLP)as the polymer matrix with naturally amorphous structure and high room-temperature ionic conductivity of 2.40×10^(−4)S cm^(−1).Li_(0.3)La_(0.557)TiO_(3)(LLTO)nanofibers are incorporated into the CLP matrix to form composite solid electrolytes,achieving enhanced ionic conductivity without showing filler agglomeration.The high content of Li-conductive nanofibers improves the mechanical strength,ensures the conductive network,and increases the total Li+conductivity to 3.31×10^(−4)S cm^(−1).The all-solid-state Li|LiFePO_(4)batteries with LLTO nanofiber-incorporated CSEs are able to deliver attractive specific capacity of 147 mAh g^(−1)at room temperature,and no evident dendrite is found at the anode/electrolyte interface after 100 cycles. | Chaoyi Yan Pei Zhu Hao Jia Jiadeng Zhu R.Kalai Selvan Ya Li Xia Dong Zhuang Du Indunil Angunawela Nianqiang Wu Mahmut Dirican Xiangwu Zhang | 2019 | Advanced Fiber Materials2019,1,1: | 2 |

| 7 | Regulation of the macrophage-related inflammatory microenvironment for atherosclerosis treatment and angiogenesis via anti-cytokine agents显示文摘Macrophages-mediated atherosclerosis(AS)is an inflammatory disease and the most common cause of ischemia.With the progress of basic and clinical research,anti-cytokine therapy has garnered considerable attention of the research community for the regulation of the inflammatory microenvironment for AS treatment.Despite of their promising potential,primary clinical trials have revealed that anti-cytokine drugs exhibit poor selectivity and thus affect other parts of the immune system,especially during long-term management.To circumvent these limitations,herein we exploited mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs)with a pore size of 15.5 nm as carriers for the anti-interleukin-1β(anti-IL-1β)delivery to be the anti-cytokine agents.In vitro mechanistic studies indicated that the MSNs@anti-IL-1βcan regulate the macrophage-related inflammatory microenvironment,promote the viability of vascular endothelial cells(vECs),and reduce proliferation and phenotypic switching of vascular smooth muscle cells(vSMCs).In vivo evaluation further revealed that the MSNs@anti-IL-1βwere preferentially accumulated in macrophages,impeding the AS progress by maintaining the endothelium integrity and inhibiting the vSMCs proliferation.Besides,MSNs@antiIL-1βinduced neovascularization and improved hindlimb ischemia regeneration.Taken together,these MSNs affording the sustained release of anti-cytokine agents may have broad implications for the clinical management of the AS,including the reduction of the AS progression and alleviation of the ischemia. | Hongji Pu Minghua Yao Zhaoyu Wu Zhijue Xu Chaoyi Cui Renhua Huang Muhammad Shafiq Weimin Li Xinwu Lu Bo Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,8: | 1 |

| 12 | Xiaoyaosan decoction regulates food intake and body weight via the leptin-leptin receptor-proopiomelanocortin pathway in rats with chronic immobilization stress显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of the Xiaoyaosan(XYS) decoction on the food intake and body weight of rats with chronic immobilization stress(CIS), as well as the concentration of serum leptin and the expression of feeding-related neuropeptides [leptin receptor(Ob-R), proopiomelanocortin(POMC), and α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone(α-MSH)] in the hypothalamic arcuate nucleus(ARC).METHODS: We subjected rats to CIS for 3 h a day.The rats were randomly divided into the following groups: control group, 7-day stress group, 21-day stress group and XYS-treated group. The rats in the two stress groups were exposed to CIS for 7 or 21 d.The rats in the XYS-treated group were also exposed to CIS for 21 d and were intragastrically administered the XYS decoction before stress. The body weight and food intake of the rats were measured every day. The content of leptin in serum andα-MSH in the ARC were detected by ELISA, and the expression of neuropeptides in the ARC was assayed by immunofluorescence, Western blot and q RT-PCR.RESULTS: The food intake and body weight of rats exposed to CIS were lower than those of control rats. The serum leptin, and expression levels of ObR, POMC and α-MSH in the ARC were significantly higher than those in the control rats. | 19 | Impacts of climate change mitigation on agriculture water use:A provincial analysis in China显示文摘Agriculture consumes huge amounts of water in China and is profoundly affected by climate change.This study projects the agricultural water use towards 2030 under the climate change mitigation target at the provincial level in China by linking a computable general equilibrium(CGE)model and a regression model.By solving the endogeneities amongst agricultural water use,output and climate factors,we explore how these variables affect water use and further predict future trends through soft-link with the IMED|CGE model.It is found that sunshine duration has a slightly positive impact on water use.Furthermore,agricultural output will significantly drive agricultural water use based on historical data of the past 16 years.Results also show that carbon reduction would have a trade-offor co-benefit effect on water use due to regional disparity.Provinces with increasing agricultural exports,such as Xinjiang and Ningxia,would anticipate considerable growth in agricultural water use induced by carbon reduction.The soft-link method proposed by this study could be applied for future studies that aim to incorporate natural and geographical factors into human activities,and vice versa,for assessing sustainable development policies in an integrated way. | Chaoyi Guo Hancheng Dai Xiaorui Liu Yazhen Wu Xiaoyu Liu Yong Liu | 2020 | Geography and Sustainability2020,1,3: | 0 |
