Layered double hydroxide coatings on magnesium alloys: A review显示文摘Layered double hydroxides(LDHs) as a class of anionic clays have extensive applications due to their unique structures. Nowadays, the emphasis is laid on the development of LDH coatings for corrosion resistance and medical applications. Thus, this review highlights synthetic methods of LDH coatings and LDH-based composite coatings on magnesium alloys. Special attention is focused on self-healing,biocompatible and self-cleaning LDH-based composite coatings on magnesium alloys.Lian Guo Wei Wu Yongfeng Zhou Fen Zhang Rongchang Zeng Jianmin Zeng 2018Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,9:28
Silurian integrative stratigraphy and timescale of China显示文摘Silurian is a period with the shortest duration in Phanerozoic except for the Neogene and Quaternary. It represents an important and unique interval when the biotic diversity recovered quickly after the end-Ordovician mass extinction, different paleoplates or terranes conjoined, big oceans disappeared or narrowed, climate and sea level changed frequently, global biotic provincialism became weaker, some primitive plants started to occupy the land. Silurian is also the first system of which all the chronostratigraphic stratotypes(i.e. the GSSPs) including four series and seven stages were established by the International Subcommission on Silurian Stratigraphy(ISSS). Nonetheless, during the post-GSSP studies conducted by ISSS in the middle1980 s, some Silurian GSSPs were found to have some congenital defects such as no index fossils available that hinder the high resolution subdivision and correlation on a regional or global scale. In this paper, based on the latest development of Silurian study in China, the progress in biostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy, event stratigraphy(such as facies differentiation, heterochrony of black shales, marine red beds, carbonate rocks and reefs), chemostratigraphy, and tectonic stratigraphy(e.g., widespread of the late Silurian rocks in South China and its tectonic implication) are systematically summarized. Some existing problems and the areas to be focused in future work are also discussed. It is suitable for chronostratigraphic study to concentrate not only on the boundary but also doing multidisciplinary analysis on the biotic, chemical, magnetic, environmental, and chronologic aspects, in order to enhance the reliability and the potential for regional and global correlation of a certain GSSP.Some important achievements are expected in these areas in the Silurian study in China:(1) ecostratigraphy and basin analysis of the Llandovery, and the correlation of integrative stratigraphy with a high resolution;(2) establishment of the Wenlock to Pridoli chronostratigraphic framework;(3) the chemo-and magnetic stratigraphy and the age of some key intervals and horizons;(4)further investigation on paleogeography and plate tectonics; and(5) origin and early evolution of the terrestrial ecosystem. Some new breakthroughs might occur in the restudy on some of those problematic GSSPs of some particular series and stages.Jiayu RONG Yi WANG Renbin ZHAN Junxuan FAN Bing HUANG Peng TANG Yue LI Xiaole ZHANG Rongchang WU Guangxu WANG Xin WEI 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,1:2
Conodont diversification during the Ordovician:A perspective from North China and Tarim(Northwestern China)显示文摘Review of the literature on Ordovician conodont diversification in palaeoplates of North and Western China reveals that four diversity peaks are present in North China, occurring in the middle Tremadocian, early Floian, late Floian, and late Darriwilian, with three of these peaks(excepting that in the late Floian)also being recorded in Tarim.Three diversification intervals are present in North China, during the Tremadocian, late Floian, early and middle Darriwilian;comparable intervals are observed in the early and late Tremadocian, early Floian, and the Middle Ordovician in Tarim. The main conodont diversification episode in both palaeoplates took place in the Darriwilian,at the time of the Great Ordovician Biodiversification Event.A comparison of conodont diversity patterns in different palaeoplates(North China,Tarim, and South China)demonstrates that conodont radiation events mainly occurred within the Tremadocian,Floian, and Darriwilian.Conodont diversifications in these paleoplates also display some differences. In contrasting with Tarim and South China,North China witnessed a rapid conodont diversification during late Floian time.Conodont diversity in North China and Tarim increased continually and reached a peak in the late Darriwilian, concurrent with a prominent decreasing trend in South China.Differences of conodont diversification in these three palaeoplates may be related to their palaeogeography and tectonic history. When conodont diversifications in North China and Tarim are analysed on the background of palaeoenvironments, the main episodes are seen to be partly coincident with second order sea-level changes, particularly in North China. In general, conodont radiation correlates with large scale transgressions.WU RongChang Ian G. 5Control of an Intermittent Outbreak Caused by an Emerging Pandrug-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii Clone ST457 in a Tertiary Hospital显示文摘Acinetobacter baumannii is a frequent cause of nosocomial infections. Here we report an intermittent outbreak caused by the emerging carbapenem-resistant A.baumannii(CRAB)clone ST457 and assess the effectiveness of patient screening for outbreak control.CRAB isolates were collected from 74 patients admitted to the respiratory intensive care unit of a tertiary hospital between May 2018 and March 2019.Fourteen CRAB isolates were assigned to ST457,and 13 belonged to an outbreak clone,as determined by phylogenomic analysis.Strict patient screening was started at the respiratory intensive care unit on May 2019,through which a ST457-positive patient transferred from the intensive care unit was detected. No positive patients were detected within 3months onwards. The results of this study highlight the importance of rigorous infection prevention and control measures, combined with patient screening,in controlling the CRAB outbreak.Chuqiu Zhang Tingting Xu Yang Ji Wenping Zheng Jingsong Wu Yuemei Lu Huiping Li Rongchang Chen Chen Qiu Kai Zhou 2021Infectious Microbes & Diseases2021,3,4:1
Reconstruction of the Yangtze Ramp during Floian to Darriwilian(Ordovician)in South China:Its Morphology,Controlling Factors and Significances显示文摘A robust stratigraphic framework and a coherent depositional ramp model for the Zitai,Dawan,Meitan and Ningkuo formations of Floian–Darriwilian age(Early–Middle Ordovician)in the Yangtze(Daoba,Xiangshuidong,Daling,Gudongkou and Honghuayuan sections)and Jiangnan regions(Nanba section)was created based on lithofacies and major element analysis.Three siliciclastic(LF1–3)and six carbonate(LF4–9)lithofacies are recognized representing sediments that were deposited in mixed siliciclastic and carbonate ramp environment. The intensity of mixed sedimentation and terrigenous input were evaluated using the elemental proxies Intensity of Mixed sedimentation(IM)and Aluminum Accumulation Rate(Al AR),as well as their mean values during certain time intervals.Mixed sediments are most well-developed along the marginal Yangtze region, strongly impacted by recurrent influx of westerly derived terrigenous materials in response to global eustatic changes and regional tectonic movements, shaping the gently southeast-dipping morphology.Regular terrigenous influx resulted in periods of enhanced primary productivity on the Yangtze Ramp as evidenced by matching biodiversity peaks in planktonic organisms,i.e.,chitinozoans and acritarchs.Brachiopods and other shelly fauna were also able to proliferate as new niches developed along the gently dipping ramp floor with substrate changes. The biodiversification patterns suggest that terrigenous influx controlled in part by regional tectonics played a more important role than previously thought in the development of Great Ordovician Biodiversification Event in South China.LUAN Xiaocong Andre DESROCHERS WU Rongchang LIU Jianbo WANG Guangxu LIANG Yan ZHANG Yuchen WEI Xin LI Lixia ZHAN Renbin 2023Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,6:0
The Feature of Segmentation Activity on the Northern Segment of the Anninghe Fault Zone Since Late Pleistocene显示文摘Based on fault geometric features, composite pattern, faulting land-forms and seismic data, this paper discussed the activity behavior along the northern segment of the Anninghe fault(from Xichang to Shimian)since the Late Pleistocene. The fault can be divided into three active segments by discrepancies of their activity:the segment from Xichang to Mianning, the segment from Mianning to Zimakua, and the segment from Zimakua to Tianwan. The southern segment has the background of occurrence of great earthquakes, but the middle and the northern segments can generate strong and moderate events respectively.According to the features of quartz from fault gouges by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),this paper discussed the movement features along the fault and indicated the stick-slipping feature on the segment from Xichang to Zimakua, the creeping feature on the segment from Jiziping to Tianwan and the transitional feature on the segment in between.Tang Rongchang,Qian Hong,Huang Zuzhi,Wen Dehua,Wu Xianguo,Cai Changxing and Tian Hong Seismological Bureau of Sichuan Province,Chengdu 610041,China 1994Earthquake Research in China1994,8,4:0
