| 1 | Growth and metal uptake of energy sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) in different metal mine tailings with soil amendments显示文摘A pot experiment was conducted to investigate the feasibility of growing energy sugarcane(Saccharum spp.) in three different metal mine tailings(Cu, Sn and Pb/Zn tailings) amended with uncontaminated soil at different mixing ratios. The results indicated that sugarcane was highly tolerant to tailing environments. Amendments of 20% soil to Sn tailings and 30% soil to Cu tailings could increase the biomass of cane-stem for use as the raw material for bioethanol production. Heavy metals were mostly retained in roots, which indicated that sugarcane was useful for the stabilization of the tailings. Bagasse and juice, as the most valuable parts to produce bioethanol, only accounted for 0.6%– 3% and 0.6%–7% of the total metal content. | 2 | Serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor as a potential biomarker to evaluate therapeutic response in patients with allergic asthma:an exploratory study显示文摘Background:Previous studies have shown that macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MIF)is involved in the pathogenesis of asthma.This study aimed to investigate whether serum MIF reflects a therapeutic response in allergic asthma.Methods:We enrolled 30 asthmatic patients with mild-to-moderate exacerbations and 20 healthy controls,analyzing the parameter levels of serum MIF,serum total immunoglobulin E(tIgE),peripheral blood eosinophil percentage(EOS%),and fractional exhaled nitric oxide(FeNO).Lung function indices were used to identify disease severity and therapeutic response.Results:Our study showed that all measured parameters in patients were at higher levels than those of controls.After one week of treatment,most parameter levels decreased significantly except for serum tIgE.Furthermore,we found that serum MIF positively correlated with EOS%as well as FeNO,but negatively correlated with lung function indices.Receiver operator characteristic(ROC)curve analysis indicated that among the parameters,serum MIF exhibited a higher capacity to evaluate therapeutic response.The area under the curve(AUC)of MIF was 0.931,with a sensitivity of 0.967 and a specificity of 0.800.Conclusions:Our results suggested that serum MIF may serve as a potential biomarker for evaluating therapeutic response in allergic asthma with mild-to-moderate exacerbations. | Huiyuan ZHU Shaochun YAN Jingshuo WU Zhong ZHANG Xiaolin LI Zheng LIU Xing MA Lina ZHOU Lin ZHANG Mingming FENG Yiwei GENG Aixin ZHANG Sabina JANCIAUSKIENE Aiguo XU | 2021 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,6: | 3 |

| 4 | Efects of diferent casting mould cooling rates on microstructure and properties of sand-cast Al-7.5Si-4Cu alloy显示文摘In this work, Al-7.5Si-4Cu alloy melt modified by Al-10Sr, RE and Al-5Ti-B master alloys was poured into multi-step moulds made from three moulding sands, including quartz, alumina and chromite, to investigate comparatively the effects of different cooling rates of the casting mould on the alloy's microstructures and mechanical properties. The results show that with an increase in wall thickness, the cooling rate decreases, the dendrite arm spacing(DAS) increases significantly and the mechanical properties decrease steadily. The elongation is more sensitive to the cooling rate than the tensile strength. No obvious trend of the effect of wall thickness on hardness of the alloy was found. When the cooling rate is at its greatest, the microstructures and mechanical properties are the best when using chromite sand. The improvement of the properties is mainly attributed to the decrease of the DAS, the grain refinement and the metamorphic effect. Each of the three has a strong impact on the microstructures. | 6 | Obesity-induced inflammatory miR-133a mediates apoptosis of granulosa cells and causes abnormal folliculogenesis显示文摘Obesity has been reported to promote disordered folliculogenesis,but the exact molecular mechanisms are still not fully understood.In this study,we find that miR-133a is involved in obesity-induced follicular development disorder.After feeding with a high-fat diet(HFD)and fructose water for nine weeks,the mouse body weight is significantly increased,accompanied by an inflammatory state and increased expression of miR-133a in the adipose tissues and ovaries as well as accelerated follicle depletion.Although miR-133a is increased in the fat and ovaries of HFD mice,the increased miR-133a in the HFD ovaries is not derived from exosome transferred from obese adipose tissues but is synthesized by ovarian follicular cells in response to HFD-induced inflammation.In vivo experiments show that intrabursal injection of miR-133a agomir induces a decrease in primordial follicles and an increase in antral follicles and atretic follicles,which is similar to HFD-induced abnormal folliculogenesis.Overexpression of miR-133a modestly promotes granulosa cell apoptosis by balancing the expression of anti-apoptotic proteins such as C1QL1 and XIAP and pro-apoptotic proteins such as PTEN.Overall,this study reveals the function of miR-133a in obesityinduced ovarian folliculogenesis dysfunction and sheds light on the etiology of female reproductive disorders. | Ruizhi Chen Xueqing Wu Han Qiu Baiming Yang Yao Chen Xiang Chen Yingshan Li Shaochun Yuan Dan Liu Luanjuan Xiao Yanhong Yu | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,8: | 0 |

| 10 | A comprehensive construction of the domain ontology for stratigraphy显示文摘Stratigraphic knowledge,the cornerstone of geoscience,needs to be represented by the Knowledge Graph based upon ontology,in order to apply the state-of-the-art big-data techniques.This study aims to comprehensively construct the ontologies for the stratigraphic domain.This has been achieved by a federated,crowd intelligence-based collaboration among domain experts of major stratigraphic subdisciplines.The initial step is to enumerate key terms from authoritative references and incorporate them into the Geoscience Professional Knowledge Graphs(GPKGs)of Deep-time Digital Earth Project.During this process,semantic heterogeneities were meticulously addressed by professional judgement aided by an automatic detection of Homonyms at the GPKGs platform.Afterwards,these terms were further differentiated as either classes or properties and arranged in a hierarchical framework in a top-down process.Consequently,seven ontologies are constructed for major stratigraphic branches,i.e.,Lithostratigraphy,Biostratigraphy,Chronostratigraphy,Chemostratigraphy,Magnetostratigraphy,Cyclostratigraphy and Sequence Stratigraphy.The ontology of Biostratigraphy,among them,is elaborated here,as no biostratigraphic ontology has been attempted before to our knowledge.The constructed biostratigraphic ontology comprises following major root classes:Fossil,Biostratigraphic unit,Biostratigraphic horizon.Altogether,they contribute to the eventual dating and correlating of strata in another root class:Biostratigraphic correlation.In summary,the achievements of this study are probably heretofore the most comprehensive ontologies for the stratigraphic domain.Moreover,a proto model of semantic search engine was conceived to discuss potential application of our work for better querying stratigraphic references,utilizing the semantic liaison of the classes in the constructed ontologies. | Huiqing Xu Yingying Zhao Hao Huang Shaochun Dong Yukun Shi Chunju Huang Huaichun Wu Zhiqi Qian Qiang Fang Huaguo Wen Zhongtang Su Shuang Dai Ronghua Wang Chao Li Chao Sun Junxuan Fan | 2023 | Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,5: | 0 |
| 11 | Research on data pre-deployment in information service flow of digital ocean cloud computing显示文摘Data pre-deployment in the HDFS(Hadoop distributed file systems) is more complicated than that in traditional file systems. There are many key issues need to be addressed, such as determining the target location of the data prefetching, the amount of data to be prefetched, the balance between data prefetching services and normal data accesses. Aiming to solve these problems, we employ the characteristics of digital ocean information service flows and propose a deployment scheme which combines input data prefetching with output data oriented storage strategies. The method achieves the parallelism of data preparation and data processing, thereby massively reducing I/O time cost of digital ocean cloud computing platforms when processing multi-source information synergistic tasks.
