3Phosphorite generative processes around the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary in South China: An integrated study of Mo and phosphate O isotopic compositions显示文摘Large phosphorite deposits in Central Guizhou,China,were formed around the Precambrian/Cambrian boundary(PC/C),including the Ediacaran(Doushantuo stage)and early Cambrian(Gezhongwu stage).Among them,Gezhongwu phosphorite from Zhijin are enriched in rare earth elements(REE)plus yttrium(REY),reaching 3.503 million tons.Although phosphorites have attracted great attention,the specific sources P and REY remained unclear.To determine the P and REY sources and establish a phosphogenic model of PC/C phosphorite,we present an integrated dataset of Mo and phosphate O isotopes for the first time,along with carbonate C and O isotopes,geology,petrology,and geochemistry.In all samples,d18Op,Y/Ho,and Zr/Hf decreased from the Ediacaran to the early Cambrian,indicating increased terrigenous weathering fluxes while decreased upwelling water input.Furthermore,terrigenous weathering delivery significantly elevated marine REY concentrations in the Cambrian in Zhijin.The Ceanom and d98/95Mo suggest that seawater was oxidized in the later Ediacaran and became entirely oxic in the early Cambrian.The positive feedback between oxygen levels in atmosphere and primary productivity caused progressive oxygenation in ocean-atmosphere system and enable phosphorites to be formed by different mechanisms.Results show that the Lower Doushantuo consist of abiotic intraclasts and exhibited“seawaterlike”REY types,indicating abiological and mechanical reworking phosphogenesis.The Upper Doushantuo and Gezhongwu Formation contained mainly microbial debris and abiogenic intraclasts,and exhibit “hat-shaped”REY plots,suggesting microbially mediated phosphogenesis.Based on this data set,we developed a phosphogenic model illustrating formation of these two phosphorite deposits,wherein the Lower Doushantuo phosphorite formed through the reworking of pre-existing phosphatic sediments in anoxic and abiotic ocean,whereas the Upper Doushantuo and Gezhongwu phosphorite formed via microbial metabolisms in oxic and biotic conditions.Our study has implications on the PC/C phosphorite generative processes,as well as paleoenvironmental conditions.Haiying Yang Jiafei Xiao Yong Xia Zhuojun Xie Qinping Tan Jianbin Xu Shan He Shengwei Wu Xiqiang Liu Xingxiang Gong 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,5:5

5Transient stability and emergency control显示文摘Comparability of emergency control strategies with different instability modes is the key issue to decide which control strategy to be implemented. This paper considers that the essential factor causing instability should be used to form a unified standard to assess the effectiveness of control strategies with different instability modes. Thus a switching control stabilization principle was proposed based on elimination of the unbalanced energy between mechanical and electrical energies of generator sets. Along this way, the difficulty of seeking a Lyapunov function was circumvented. According to the principle, an emergency control algorithm framework was established to handle transient stability assessment, control location selection and control amount evaluation. Within the framework, this paper studied instability mode transition, then proposed an algorithm based on prediction function and a new approach to normalized stability margin stemmed from static EEAC method, which can increase comparability of various control locations. 6Optical properties of carbon materials filled HDPE composites in THz region显示文摘The optical and electrical properties of several composites, formed by filling the high density polyethylene (HDPE) with similar amount of carbon black (CB), multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) and fullerene (C60), respectively, were characterized using a THz-TDS setup. It was found that the optical parameters and the details of their variation with frequency differ significantly for different kinds of carbon materials. The results are analyzed by using Cole-Cole formula of dipole relaxation under the assumption that carbon particles dispersed in the matrix behave like dipoles and contribute mainly to the dielectric loss in the THz frequency range. Fitting results indicate that MWNT and CB filled composites have a broader distribution of the relaxation time compared with C60 which possesses a nearly single relaxation time. Compared with CB and C60, MWNT filled composite possesses the larger relaxation strength due to its higher electron density and larger conductive clusters. The real part of conductivity for three kinds of composites all follows power law behavior with respect to frequency but the exponents are quite different. 9Transcriptome analysis suggests mechanisms for a novel flowering type: Cleistogamous wheat显示文摘Wheat is one of the most important staple crops worldwide.Fusarium head blight severely reduces wheat yield and quality.Cultivation of a novel type of cleistogamous wheat mutant,ZK001,which was created by static magnetic field treatment,is a new strategy for controlling Fusarium head blight.However,little is known about the mechanism of cleistogamy in wheat.The present study demonstrated that anthers of ZK001 were retained on the glumes at all flowering stages,whereas those of YM18 were extruded from the paleae and lemmae.There was a clear difference in the morphological characteristics of lodicules between YM18 and ZK001.Lodicule calcium and potassium contents were significantly higher in YM18 than in ZK001 from white to yellow anther stages.In Fusarium head blight resistance,the diseased kernel rate and deoxynivalenol content of ZK001 were markedly lower than those of YM18 and QM725.Comparative transcriptome analysis of YM18 and ZK001 was performed to identify regulatory mechanisms of cleistogamy.The main differentially expressed genes identified in the spikelets of YM18 and ZK001 at the green anther stage were associated with cell walls,carbohydrates,phytohormones,water channel,and ion binding,transport,and homeostasis.These differentially expressed genes may play an important role in regulating cellular homeostasis,osmotic pressure,and lodicule development.The results indicate that ZK001 lost the ability to push the lemmae and paleae apart during the flowering stage because of the thin lodicules.ZK001 was speculated to provide structural barriers for Fusarium head blight during the flowering stage.The thin lodicule of ZK001 results from low levels of soluble sugar,calcium ions,and potassium ions in the lodicules.These levels are regulated by differentially expressed genes.Caiguo Tang Minghao Li Minghui Cao Ruiju Lu Huilan Zhang Chenghong Liu Shengwei Huang Pingping Zhang Hao Hu Weiwei Zhao Lifang Wu 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,2:1

11An Efficient Decomposition Method for Bilevel Energy Storage Arbitrage Problem显示文摘With the reduction of cost,large-capacity energy storage unit is playing an increasingly important role in modern power systems.When a merchant energy storage unit participates in the power market,its arbitrage problem can be modeled via a bilevel program.The lower-level problem simulates power market clearing and gives the nodal price,based on which the upperlevel problem maximizes the arbitrage profit of energy storage.To solve this bilevel problem,the conventional method replaces the lower level problem with its KKT optimality conditions and further performs linearization.However,because the size of the market clearing problem grows with the scale of the power system and the number of periods,the resulting MILP(mixed-integer linear program)is very challenging to solve.This paper proposes a decomposition method to address the bilevel energy storage arbitrage problem.First,the locational marginal price at the storage connection node is expressed as a piecewise constant function in the storage bidding strategy,so the market clearing problem can be omitted.Then,the storage bidding problem is formulated as a mixed-integer linear program,which contains only a few binary variables.Numeric experiments validate the proposed method is exact and highly efficient.Danman Wu Tengyun Qi Wei Wei Jianping Liu Laijun Chen Shengwei Mei 2022CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,2:1
12Enrichment characteristics and sources of the critical metal yttrium in Zhijin rare earth-containing phosphorites, Guizhou Province, China显示文摘Yttrium(Y)is a critical metallic element that is used widely in modern scientific,technological,and industrial applications.Phosphorites in the Zhijin area of Guizhou Province,China,are famous for Y enrichment,but the enrichment characteristics and sources remain unclear.Previous studies suggested that the sources of rare earth elements(REEs,La-Lu)and Y(REYs,La-Lu+Y)were related to hydrothermal deposition.However,this study presents evidence refuting that hypothesis,with major and trace elemental data collected with quadrupoleinductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(Q-ICPMS)analysis.These data show that Y in Zhijin REYscontaining phosphorites has a normal distribution and is particularly enriched relative to other REYs.The Y enrichment degree is different at different∑REY intervals.Specifically,the Y enrichment degree is higher at lower∑REY values and lower at higher∑REY values.The REYs-containing phosphorites show features of primary phosphorites.Both REEs and Y have good correlations with P2 O5 in the phosphorites with low REYs contents(total REYs<535 ppm),whereas at high REYs contents(total REYs>535 ppm),REEs have a good correlation with P2 O5 but Y does not.Inconsistent enrichment processes of REYs are suggestive of complex sources of Y.Thus,seafloor hydrothermal fluids were not the direct source of Y.Normal seawater mixed with terrestrial sources might have contributed to the origin of Y here.This study could lead to improvements in Y mineral resource explorations and the situation involving the global REYs supply crisis.Xingxiang Gong Shengwei Wu Yong Xia Zhengwei Zhang Shan He Zhuojun Xie Jiafei Xiao Haiying Yang Qingping Tan Yi Huang Yuhong Yang 2021Acta Geochimica2021,40,3:1

14Pyrolysis of vulcanized styrene-butadiene rubber via ReaxFF molecular dynamics simulation显示文摘Styrene-butadiene rubber(SBR)is widely used in tires in the automotive segment and vulcanization using sulfur is a common process to enhance its mechanical properties.However,the addition of sulfur as the cross-linking agent usually results in impurities in pyrolysis products during rubber recycling,and thus the desulfurization during tire pyrolysis attracts much attention.In this work,the pyrolysis of vulcanized SBR is studied in detail with the help of Reax FF molecular dynamics simulation.A series of crosslinked SBR models were built with different sulfur contents and densities.The following Reax FF MD simulations were performed to show products distributions at different pyrolysis conditions.The simulation results show that sulfur products distribution is mainly controlled by sulfur contents and temperatures.The reaction mechanism is proposed based on the analysis of sulfur products conversion pathway,where most sulfur atoms are bonded with hydrocarbon radicals and the rest transfer to H_(2)S.High sulfur contents tend to the formation of elemental sulfur intermediate,and temperature increase facilitates the release of H_(2)S.Yinbin Wang Senjun Yao Wei Wang Chenglong Qiu Jing Zhang Shengwei Deng Hong Dong Chuan Wu Jianguo Wang 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,3:1

17Effective Seed Distribution Pattern of an Upward Shift Species in Alpine Tundra of Changbai Mountains显示文摘The vegetation of alpine tundra in the Changbai Mountains has experienced great changes in recent decades. Narrowleaf small reed(Deyeuxia angustifolia), a perennial herb from the birch forest zone had crossed the tree line and invaded into the alpine tundra zone. To reveal the driven mechanism of D. angustifolia invasion, there is an urgent need to figure out the effective seed distribution pattern, which could tell us where the potential risk regions are and help us to interpret the invasion process. In this study, we focus on the locations of the seeds in the soil layer and mean to characterize the effective seed distribution pattern of D. angustifolia. The relationship between the environmental variables and the effective seed distribution pattern was also assessed by redundancy analysis. Results showed that seeds of D. angustifolia spread in the alpine tundra with a considerable number(mean value of 322 per m2). They were mainly distributed in the low elevation areas with no significant differences in different slope positions. Effective seed number(ESN) occurrences of D. angustifolia were different in various plant communities. Plant communities with lower canopy cover tended to have more seeds of D. angustifolia. 18Selenium nanoparticles derived from Proteus mirabilis YC801 alleviate oxidative stress and inflammatory response to promote nerve repair in rats with spinal cord injury显示文摘Microbial biotransformation and detoxification of biotoxic selenite into selenium nanoparticles(SeNPs)has emerged as an efficient technique for the utilization of selenium.SeNPs are characterized by high bioavailability and have several therapeutic effects owing to their antioxidant,anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective activities.However,their influence onmicroenvironment disturbances and neuroprotection after spinal cord injury(SCI)is yet to be elucidated.This study aimed to assess the influence of SeNPs on SCI and explore the underlying protective mechanisms.Overall,the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells were facilitated by SeNPs derived from Proteus mirabilis YC801 via the Wnt/b-catenin signaling pathway.The SeNPs increased the number of neurons to a greater extent than astrocytes after differentiation and improved nerve regeneration.A therapeutic dose of SeNPs remarkably protected the integrity of the spinal cord to improve the motor function of the hind limbs after SCI and decreased the expression of several inflammatory factors such as tumor necrosis factor-a and interleukin-6 in vivo and enhanced the production of M2-type macrophages by regulating their polarization,indicating the suppressed inflammatory response.Besides,SeNPs reversed the SCI-mediated production of reactive oxygen species.In conclusion,SeNPs treatment holds the potential to improve the disturbed microenvironment and promote nerve regeneration,representing a promising therapeutic approach for SCI.Xiangyu Liu Yingji Mao Shengwei Huang Weifeng Li Wei Zhang Jingzhou An Yongchao Jin Jianzhong Guan Lifang Wu Pinghui Zhou 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:0
19Reprocessing 12-yr Microwave Humidity Sounder Historical Data of Fengyun-3 Satellites显示文摘Atmospheric water vapor is an essential climate variable(ECV)with extensive spatial and temporal variations.Microwave humidity observations from meteorological satellites provide important information for climate system variables,including atmospheric water vapor and precipitable water,and assimilation in numerical weather prediction(NWP)and reanalysis.As one of the payloads onboard China’s second-generation polar-orbiting operational meteorological Fengyun-3(FY-3)satellites,the Microwave Humidity Sounder(MWHS)has been continuously observing the global humidity since 2008.The reprocessing of historical FY-3 MWHS data is documented in detail in this study.After calibrating and correcting the data,the quality of the reprocessed dataset is evaluated and the improvement is shown in this study.The results suggest that MWHS observations bias is reduced to approximately 0.8 K,compared with METOP-A Microwave Humidity Sounder(MHS).The temporal variability of MWHS is highly correlated with the instrument temperature.After reprocessing,the scene temperature dependency is mitigated for all 183 GHz channels,and the consistency and stability between FY-3A/B/C are also improved.Yang GUO Fangli DOU Qiong WU Jieying HE Shengwei ZHANG Zhenzhan WANG Songyan GU Peng ZHANG 2022Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,2:0
20HUSS:A Heuristic Method for Understanding the Semantic Structure of Spreadsheets显示文摘Spreadsheets contain a lot of valuable data and have many practical applications.The key technology of these practical applications is how to make machines understand the semantic structure of spreadsheets,e.g.,identifying cell function types and discovering relationships between cell pairs.Most existing methods for understanding the semantic structure of spreadsheets do not make use of the semantic information of cells.A few studies do,but they ignore the layout structure information of spreadsheets,which affects the performance of cell function classification and the discovery of different relationship types of cell pairs.In this paper,we propose a Heuristic algorithm for Understanding the Semantic Structure of spreadsheets(HUSS).Specifically,for improving the cell function classification,we propose an error correction mechanism(ECM)based on an existing cell function classification model[11]and the layout features of spreadsheets.For improving the table structure analysis,we propose five types of heuristic rules to extract four different types of cell pairs,based on the cell style and spatial location information.Our experimental results on five real-world datasets demonstrate that HUSS can effectively understand the semantic structure of spreadsheets and outperforms corresponding baselines.Xindong Wu Hao Chen Chenyang Bu Shengwei Ji Zan Zhang Victor S.Sheng 2023Data Intelligence2023,5,3:0
