Tectonic Evolution of the Meso-Tethys in the Western Segment of Bangonghu-Nujiang Suture Zone: Insights from Geochemistry and Geochronology of the Lagkor Tso Ophiolite显示文摘The subduction of the Bangonghu-Nujiang Meso-Tethys and the collision between the Lhasa and Qiangtang blocks were important events in the growth of the Tibetan crust. However, the timing of collision initiation and closure timing,as well as nature and structure of the Bangonghu ocean basin, are still poorly constrained. The Lagkor Tso ophiolite, located in the south of Gerze County,Tibet,is one of the most completed ophiolites preserved in the southern side of the BangonghuNujiang suture zone. This study discussed the tectonic evolution of the Bangonghu-Nujiang suture zone as revealed by the Lagkor Tso ophiolite investigated by field investigations, petrology, geochemistry, geochronology and tectonic analysis methods. We present new LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb and 39Ar/40 Ar ages for the Lagkor Tso ophiolite,in addition to geochemical and platinum-group element(PGE) data presented for the Lagkor Tso ophiolite in Tibet. It is suggested that the ancient Lagkor Tso oceanic basin split in Middle Jurassic(161.2 ± 2.7 Ma – 165.4 ± 3.5 Ma),and experienced a second tectonic emplacement during the Early Cretaceous(137.90 ± 6.39 Ma). The Lagkor Tso ophiolite likely developed in an independent suture zone. The Bangonghu-Nujiang ocean subducted southwards, and the dehydration of the subducting oceanic crust materials caused partial melting of the continental mantle wedge, which formed the second-order expanding center of the obduction dish. This led to inter-arc expansion, followed by the formation of inter-arc and back-arc basins with island arc features, which are represented by ophiolites around the Shiquanhe-Lagkor Tso-Yongzhu region. The tectonic environment presently can be considered to be similar to that of the current Western Pacific,in which a large number of island arc-ocean basin systems are developed.YUAN Yajuan YIN Zhengxin LIU Weiliang HUANG Qiangtai LI Jianfeng LIU Hongfei WAN Zhifeng CAI Zhourong XIA Bin 2015Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,2:17
Development features of volcanic rocks of the Yingcheng Formation and their relationship with fault structure in the Xujiaweizi Fault Depression,Songliao Basin,China显示文摘The Xujiaweizi Fault Depression is located in the northern Songliao Basin,Northeast China. The exploration results show that the most favorable natural gas reservoirs are in the volcanic rocks of the Yingcheng Formation(K 1 yc).Based on seismic interpretation, drill cores and the results of previous research,we analyzed the distribution of faults and the thickness of volcanic rocks in different periods of K 1 yc,and studied the relationship of volcanic activities and main faults.Volcanic rocks were formed in the Yingcheng period when the magma erupted along pre-existing fault zones. The volcanic activities strongly eroded the faults during the eruption process, which resulted in the structural traces in the seismic section being diffuse and unclear. The tectonic activities weakened in the study area in the depression stage. The analysis of seismic interpretation, thin section microscopy and drill cores revealed that a large number of fractures generated in the volcanic rocks were affected by later continued weak tectonic activities, which greatly improved the physical properties of volcanic reservoirs, and made the volcanic rocks of K 1 yc be favorable natural gas reservoirs. The above conclusions provide the basis to better understand the relationship of the volcanic rock distribution and faults, the mechanism of volcanic eruption and the formation of natural gas reservoirs in volcanic rocks.Cai Zhourong Huang Qiangtai Xia Bin Lii Baofeng Liu Weiliang Wan Zhifeng 2012Petroleum Science2012,9,4:5
Features and dynamic mechanisms of Cenozoic tectonic migration and its impact on the hydrocarbon accumulation in the northern South China Sea显示文摘The northern continental margin of the South China Sea(SCS) is located within the tectonic system of Southeast Asia, an area with a great deal of tectonic migration due to the regional tectonic movements. The available geological and geophysical data of the area are comprehensively analyzed in order to demonstrate the typical migration patterns of the Cenozoic tectonics in the northern SCS caused by the episodes of the Cenozoic tectonic movement. Furthermore, the lateral variation characteristics of the strata and the different evolution patterns of the main basins' features are assessed. It primarily focus on:(1) the Cenozoic episodic rifting from north to south in the continental margin of the northern SCS;(2) the rifting and depression time of the main basins progressively become younger as one goes from north to south, signifying that the migration of both the tectonics and the sediments within the northern SCS travelled from north to south during the Cenozoic; and(3) the lateral tectonic migration on the direction of EW is not regular in total, but in some local areas the trending of the tectonic migration is from west to east. The analysis of the tectonic migration features of the northern SCS, in combination with the regional tectonic evolution background, indicates that the observed remote lagging effect, resulted from the India-Eurasia plate collision, is the main dynamic mechanism involved in the tectonic migration within the northern SCS. The tectonic migration has significant influence on both the organization of petroleum deposits and on the hydrocarbon accumulation within the basins in the northern SCS; comprehensive understanding of this dynamic system is of great reference value in predicting the hydrocarbon accumulation and has the potential to have an enormous impact in discovering new deep reservoirs for the future oil-gas exploration.YIN Zhengxin CAI Zhourong WAN Zhifeng LYU Baofeng 2015Acta Oceanologica Sinica2015,34,1:4
The tectonic differences between the east and the west in the deep-water area of the northern South China Sea显示文摘The deep-water area of the northern South China Sea, which has active and complicated tectonics, is rich in natural gas and gas hydrate. While the tectonic characteristics is different obviously between the east and the west because of the special tectonic position and tectonic evolution process. In terms of submarine geomorphology, the eastern shelf-slope structure in Pearl River Mouth Basin is characterized by having wide sub-basins and narrow intervening highs, whereas the western(Qiongdongnan Basin) structure is characterized by narrow subbasins and wide uplift. As to the structural features, the deep-water sags in the east are all structurally halfgrabens, controlled by a series of south-dipping normal faults. While the west sags are mainly characterised by graben structures with faulting in both the south and north. With regards to the tectonic evolution, the east began neotectonic activity when the post-rifting stage had completed at the end of the Middle Miocene. In the Baiyun Sag, tectonic activity became strong and was characterised by rapid subsidence and obvious faulting. Whereas in the west, neotectonic activity began at the end of the Late Miocene with rapid deposition and weak fault activity.XIA Zhongyu WAN Zhifeng WANG Xianqing SHI Qiuhua CAI Song XIA Bin 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,1:4
Solubility of ammonium paratungstate in the system NH_3·H_2O·H_2O显示文摘The equilibrium solubilities of 5(NH4)O@ 12WO3 @ 5H2O (APT@ 5H2O) were determined at the terminal ammoniaconcentration of 2 mol/L at 87-95℃. Experimental data were regressed. The linear functional relation between the solubilityof APT@ 5H2O and the temperature (t / ℃) is given as y = - 588.08 + 7.28t. The solubility of the species as a function of theterminal ammonia concentration (x / mol@ L-1) is also achieved: y = 36.76 + 18.86x. The solubility of APT@ 5H2O producedby ion-exchange method in China is much lower, which is due to much lower silica, much higher NH4C1, and a smallamount of APT@ 7H2O with low solubility in the APT crystals. APT@ 7H2O forms because of a large amount of NH4Cl andthe low activity of water in the crystallization.WAN Linsheng, XU Zhifeng, and SHI ZhonglingFaculty of Materials and Chemical Engineering, Southern Institute of Metallurgy, Ganzhou 341000, China 2003Rare Metals2003,22,1:3
Mixing of Enriched Lithospheric Mantle-Derived and Crustal Magmas: Evidence from the Habo Cenozoic Porphyry in Western Yunnan显示文摘New zircon U–Pb ages, whole-rock geochemistry and zircon Hf isotopes from the Habo porphyry Western Yunnan, China, were determined to provide constraints on the timing of uplift of the Eastern Tibetan Plateau. The intrusive rocks consist of shoshonitic porphyry(syenite porphyry and monzonite porphyry). Zircon laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICPMS) U–Pb dating indicates coeval emplacement ages of ~35 Ma. The porphyries have alkaline affinities, enrichment in large ion lithophile elements(LILEs) and light rare earth elements(LREEs)(e.g., Rb, Th, U, Pb), with depletion of high field strength elements(HFSEs)(e.g., Nb, Ti, Ta) and weak Eu anomalies. They display uniform Lu–Hf isotopic compositions with negative zircon εHf(t) values ranging from-3.9 to-0.6. The chemical characteristics of the syenite porphyries indicated that they most likely originated from the lower crust, with mantle-derived material involved in their generation. Geochemically, the monzonite porphyries are similar to the syenite porphyries; however, the lower MgO contents suggest that they were produced by different degrees of partial melting of the same lower crust source. Combined with the geochemical and isotopic data in this paper, imply that the alkali-rich porphyries of the Habo polymetallic deposit were derived from the partial melting of lower crust, enriched by mantle magma, formed in a conversion stage from stress extrusion(a strike-slip shear process) to local stress relaxation(a strike-slip pull-apart process) at the Ailaoshao tectonic zone.XIA Bin LU Ye YUAN Yajuan CHEN Weiyan ZHANG Xiao XU Chi YU Shengrui WAN Zhifeng 2018Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2018,92,5:2
Association between Metabolic Dysfunction-associated Fatty Liver Disease and Cognitive Impairment显示文摘Background and Aims:Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is a newly proposed term based on modified criteria.Although nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has been well-documented as a multisystem dis-ease,research on the correlation of MAFLD and extra-hepatic diseases is limited. This study aimed to clarify the association of MAFLD,as well as NAFLD status with cognitive function. Methods:A total of 5,662 participants 20-59 years of age who underwent cognitive tests and liver ultrasonography in the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were included in the analysis.Cognitive function was evalu-ated using three computer-administered tests, the serial dig-it learning test(SDLT),the simple reaction time test(SRTT)and the symbol digit substitution test(SDST).Results:Par-ticipants with MAFLD had significantly poorer performance on the SRTT[odds ratio(OR)1.47,95%confidence interval(CI):1.14-1.89)].MAFLD with moderate-severe liver stea-tosis was associated with higher risks of scoring low in the SDLT(OR 1.37,95%CI:1.04-1.82)and SRTT(OR 1.55,95%CI:1.19-2.02).NAFLD combined with metabolic dys-function,instead of NAFLD without metabolic disorders, was associated an increased risk of a low SRTT score(OR 1.44,95%CI:1.10-1.82).MAFLD patients had a high probability of fibrosis, prediabetes, and diabetes and were also signifi-cantly associated with increased risks based on the SDST or SRTT score. Conclusions:MAFLD was significantly associ-ated with increased risk of cognitive impairment, especially among MAFLD patients with a high degree of liver fibrosis,moderate-severe steatosis,or hyperglycemia.Qiang Yu Ruixin He Haowen Jiang Ji Wu Zhifeng Xi Kang He Yongbo Liu Tao Zhou Mingxuan Feng Ping Wan Hexin Yan Qiang Xia 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,6:1
Compositional and geochronological signatures of metamafic dykes from the Sangsang peridotites, South Tibet: Evidence for magma-starved forearc rifting during Neo-Tethyan subduction re-initiation显示文摘In this study we present new mineral chemistry,whole-rock geochemical and zircon U-Pb geochronological data for 12 metamafic dykes in the mantle sequence of the Sangsang ophiolite in South Tibet(China).Modal analyses of these dykes gave averages of^40%-65%plagioclase and^35%-60%amphibole and small amounts of(igneous)clinopyroxene, epidote and opaque minerals. This mineral assemblage resembles that of typical orthoamphibolites.Nevertheless, due to the absence of foliation the investigated rocks are described as metamafic lithologies. These rocks have primitive mantle(PM)-normalized multi-element patterns with negative Nb and Ta anomalies as well as weak, negative Ti anomalies. In addition, they have initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios[(87Sr/86Sr)1]of0.702844-0.703581,initial 143Nd/144Nd ratios[(143Nd/144Nd)i]of 0.512891-0.512959 and high εNd(t)values(+7.9 to+9.3).Uranium-Pb ages of magmatic zircons separated from the investigated metamafic dykes indicate that the parental melts of their protoliths intruded the Sangsang mantle at^119.0-118.5 Ma.The metamorphic mineral assemblages recognized in the investigated dykes are suggestive of a retrograde metamorphic process,from(epidote-)amphibolite facies(~470-610℃,-1.9-4.3 kbar)and to prehnitepumpellyite facies(≤280℃,<3 kbar),active within a rift-produced oceanic lithosphere.Microtextural and geochemical data suggest that the protoliths of the dykes were most likely massive gabbros.Compositional data show that the parental magmas of the gabbroic protoliths were generated by melting of a depleted mantle(DM)source that had been weakly modified by fluids emanating from a subducted oceanic lithospheric slab. The age of the gabbroic protoliths is slightly younger than the existing ages for ophiolites from the central Yarlung-Zangbo Suture Zone(YZSZ)in the literature(~129-123 Ma).We,therefore, suggest that the gabbroic protoliths of the Sangsang metamafic dykes were formed in an incipient forearc setting during Neo-Tethyan subduction reinitiation(Aptian). Our tectonomagmatic model provides insights into the igneous accretion and postsolidification evolution of the oceanic lithosphere in South Tibet.Chi Xu Hao Zheng Argyrios Kapsiotis Yang Xiao Zhifeng Wan 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,6:1

Investigation into the epidemiology, genetic characteristics, and clinical manifestations of the first monkeypox outbreak in Shenzhen,China显示文摘This paper comprehensively analyses the first-ever monkeypox outbreak in Shenzhen,China, encompassing clinical symptomatology, therapeutic approaches, epidemiological research, and comprehensive laboratory tests, aiming to establish a robust reference for future monkeypox mitigation and management strategies. The investigation involved a thorough investigation of all identified positive cases, including extensive molecular analysis by nucleic acid detection and whole-genome sequencing of the monkeypox virus.Contact tracing and containment of the infected individuals were also undertaken.Three distinct monkeypox cases were identified in this unique outbreak, exhibiting mild and atypical clinical manifestations, primarily fever and rash. All cases were associated with a single transmission chain, primarily facilitated through close contact and homosexual behavior, indicative of a high-risk factor for monkeypox transmission.Jia Wan Xiaomin Zhang Jing Qu Bo Peng Dongfeng Kong Jianhua Lu Qinghua Hu Zhifeng Zhou Haiduan Lin Xiangjie Yao Yulin Fu Qing Xu Ying Lin Yan Yang Jinzhen Tang Lin Lin Huimin Li Ziquan Lv Zhen Zhang Xuan Zou Xiaolu Shi 2023Biosafety and Health2023,5,5:0
Geochemical characteristics of cold-seep carbonates in Shenhu area,South China Sea显示文摘Cold seeps spread worldwide along the continental margins, which are closely related to the exploration of gas hydrates.Cold-seep carbonates have been reported to record the nature of seepage, including fluid source, sedimentary environment, and variation of seepage activity. We investigated the morphology, mineralogy, element compositions, and carbon and oxygen isotopes of 15 cold-seep carbonates collected from the Shenhu area, and compared them with 2 carbonates from the Haima cold seep, the South China Sea(SCS),to promote our knowledge of cold-seep system in SCS.Most of the Shenhu carbonates exhibit crust morphology, and some are in the form of chimneys and blocks.Their absolute(20%–65%)and relative carbonate mineral contents(mainly aragonite and calcite, with minor samples containing dolomite)vary significantly, indicating the multi-stage methane leakage in our study area. Some samples show a slight negative Ce anomaly, suggesting either the mixing of seawater or variation of the redox condition during the precipitation;the cooccurrence of strongly enriched U and Mo demonstrates anoxic condition during precipitation. The mixed genetic methane source was interpreted by δ^(13)C of the Shenhu carbonates to range from-22.34‰to-59.30‰Vienna PeeDee Belemnite(VPDB),and the slight ^(18)O-enrichment imprinted on the carbonates suggests the possible influence from hydrate dissociation. The Haima carbonates, with biogenic methane as the main gas source, were presumably formed in a stronger fluid flux by compared with our Shenhu samples.Chongmin CHEN Lifeng ZHONG Zhifeng WAN Chiyu CHENG Wei ZHOU Xing XU 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,3:0
