1Machine learning in nuclear physics at low and intermediate energies显示文摘Machine learning(ML)is becoming a new paradigm for scientific research in various research fields due to its exciting and powerful capability of modeling tools used for big-data processing tasks.In this review,we first briefly introduce the different methodologies used in ML algorithms and techniques.As a snapshot of many applications by ML,some selected applications are presented,especially for low-and intermediate-energy nuclear physics,which include topics on theoretical applications in nuclear structure,nuclear reactions,properties of nuclear matter,and experimental applications in event identification/reconstruction,complex system control,and firmware performance.Finally,we present a summary and outlook on the possible directions of ML use in low-intermediate energy nuclear physics and possible improvements in ML algorithms.Wanbing He Qingfeng Li Yugang Ma Zhongming Niu Junchen Pei Yingxun Zhang 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,8:3
2Geochemical and Nd-Hf Isotopic Constraints on the Petrogenesis of an Archean Granitoid in the Erguna Massif, NE China显示文摘Crystalline basement and Precambrian crustal growth of the continental massifs within the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB) are still pending problems. Our geological and geochemical investigations identified an Archean(2606 Ma) granitic pluton in the Biliya area of the Erguna Massif. The Neoarchean granitoids show high and positive in-situ zircon ε_(Ht)(t)(+0.3 to +10.0), whole-rock ε_(Nd)(t)(+4.8) and whole-rock ε_(Ht)(t) values(+2.1). They are characterized by high Y + Ce + Zr + Nb(> 220 ppm) and Zr contents and could be classified as A-type granites. These granitoids are characterized by high Zr saturation temperatures(T;)(796–836°C). They were derived from partial re-melting of juvenile mafic lower crust in an intracontinental back-arc extensional environment. 3Precambrian Captured Zircon Ages in the Daheigou Formation, Xing’an Block显示文摘The Xing'an Block (XB) is located between the Erguna Block (EB) and the Songnen Block (SB), which topographically occupies the northeastern half of the Great Xing'an Range (Liu et al., 2017). The XB was traditionally considered to be composed of a Precambrian metamorphic basement and post-Cambrian cover. 4Fabricating Cationic Lignin Hydrogels for Dye Adsorption显示文摘Due to the low content of adsorption-active groups in lignin,its application in the field of adsorption is limited.Herein,we first prepared cationic kraft lignin acrylate,from which a cationic lignin(CKLA)hydrogel was further prepared by cationic kraft lignin acrylate,acrylamide,and N,N’-methylenebisacrylamide.The morphology,compression properties and swelling properties of CKLA hydrogels were investigated.The prepared CKLA hydrogel was applied as an adsorbent for Congo red.The effect of CKLA hydrogel dosages,initial concentration of Congo red,and pH on adsorption efficiency was investigated.The maximum Congo red removal efficiency was obtained at the initial concentration of Congo red of 50 mg/L,pH 7,and 5 mg dosage of CKLA hydrogel with 20%cationic lignin content.After five cycles of adsorption,the adsorption efficiency of the hydrogel for Congo red still reached more than 80%.The CKLA hydrogel showed pseudo-second-order adsorption kinetics for Congo red adsorption.These results demonstrate the potential of the CKLA hydrogel as an adsorbent for water treatment.Chao Wang Xuezhen Feng Wanbing Li Shibin Shang Haibo Zhang 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,4:1
5Conductivity and Oxidation Behavior of Fe-16Cr Alloy as Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Interconnect Under Long-Stability and Thermal Cycles显示文摘Conductivity and oxidation behavior of Fe-16Cr alloy were investigated under long-term stability operation at 750℃and thermal cycles from room temperature to 750℃.The results showed that the area specific resistance(ASR)of Fe-16Cr alloy increased over time and reached about 56.29 mΩcm~(2)after 40,000 h of long-term stability operation at 750℃by theoretical calculation.The ASR of Fe-16Cr remained about 11 mΩcm~(2)after 52 thermal cycles from room temperature to750℃.The analysis of structure showed that the oxidized phase on the surface of Fe-16Cr was mainly composed of Cr_(2)O_3and Fe Cr_(2)O_(4)spinel phase under long-term stability operation at 750℃.While the Cr_(2)O_(3)phase was mainly observed on the surface of Fe-16Cr alloy after 52 thermal cycles,the oxidation rates of Fe-16Cr alloy were 0.0142μm h~(-1)and 0.06μm cycle~(-1)under long-term stability operation and under thermal cycle,respectively.The property of Fe-16Cr alloy with 2.6 mm thickness met the lifespan requirement of interconnect for solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)stacks.The Cr element all diff used onto oxidation surface,indicating that it was necessary to spray a coating on the surface to avoid poisoning cell cathode of SOFCs.Two 2-cell stacks were assembled and tested to verify the properties of Fe-16Cr alloy as SOFC interconnect under long-term stability operation and thermal cycle condition.Jianwu Zhou Qiangfeng Chen Junkang Sang Rongmin Wu Zhuobin Li Wanbing Guan 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,5:1

7Pulsed electrolysis of carbon dioxide by large-scale solid oxide electrolytic cells for intermittent renewable energy storage显示文摘CO_(2) electrolysis with solid oxide electrolytic cells(SOECs)using intermittently available renewable energy has potential applications for carbon neutrality and energy storage.In this study,a pulsed current strategy is used to replicate intermittent energy availability,and the stability and conversion rate of the cyclic operation by a large-scale flat-tube SOEC are studied.One hundred cycles under pulsed current ranging from -100 to -300 mA/cm^(2) with a total operating time of about 800 h were carried out.The results show that after 100 cycles,the cell voltage attenuates by 0.041%/cycle in the high current stage of−300 mA/cm^(2),indicating that the lifetime of the cell can reach up to about 500 cycles.The total CO_(2) conversion rate reached 52%,which is close to the theoretical value of 54.3% at -300 mA/cm^(2),and the calculated efficiency approached 98.2%,assuming heat recycling.This study illustrates the significant advantages of SOEC in efficient electrochemical energy conversion,carbon emission mitigation,and seasonal energy storage.Anqi Wu Chaolei Li Beibei Han Wu Liu Yang Zhang Svenja Hanson Wanbing Guan Subhash C.Singhal 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,4:1
8Survey on Pre-pregnancy Health Knowledge and Service Demands among Un-pregnant Married Women显示文摘Objective To understand the pre-pregnancy health knowledge and service needs among un-pregnant married women in Shanghai. Methods A total of 968 newly-married un-pregnant women in Changqiao, Lingyun sub-districts and Huajing town of Xuhui district, Shanghai, were recruited and inter- viewed by structured questionnaire to collect the information on pre-pregnancy health knowledge and service demands. Results 1) Newly-married women thought the contraceptive methods suitable for them was male condom(84.4%), followed by oral contraceptives(54%), emergent con- traceptive(52.5%) and contraceptive suppository (48.3%). 2) The score of pre-preg- nancy health knowledge was 54.7±14.5 among the subjects. The participants with junior college or a bachelor had more knowledge than those with junior or senior high school, and those who were engaged in medicine /education/science field had higher score. 3) They had higher knowing rate on the common knowledge, and the rate was above 80%. But the knowing rate on the knowledge of birth defect was low, and all below 50%. 4)A proportion of 52.7% of the respondents knew that there was a station for reproductive health service in their communities, but only 45.5% received the service from the station, 87.0% thought they had insufficient or scarce knowledge, 73.6% planned to consult before pregnancy and 63.6% were willing to attend the training courses on preparing pregnancy. 9Highly Efficient Photocatalytic CO_(2) Methanation over Ru-Doped TiO_(2) with Tunable Oxygen Vacancies显示文摘Solar-driven CO_(2) methanation is an imperative and promising approach to relieve the global warming and environmental crisis,yet remains a great challenge due to the low reaction efficiency,unsatisfactory selectivity and poor stability.In this work,we demonstrate a facile and efficient strategy to prepare Ru-doped TiO_(2) photocatalyst with tunable oxygen vacancies using the ascorbic acid as a reducing agent for the CO_(2) methanation reaction.The optimal Ru-TiO_(2)-OV-50 exhibits a remarkable CH4production rate of 81.7 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1)with a 100%CH4selectivity under a 1.5 W cm^(-2)light illumination,which is significantly higher than commercial Ru/TiO_(2)and other reported catalysts.We reveal that the superior photocatalytic CO_(2) methanation performance is mainly due to the synergistic effect of Ru doping and TiO_(2) with tunable oxygen vacancies.Impressively,the light rather than thermal effect is confirmed as the main influencing factor by experimental studies.In addition,in situ spectroscopic technology is performed to investigate the CO_(2) methanation reaction pathway.This work will open an avenue to design and prepare highly efficient photocatalyst with tunable oxygen vacancies for CO_(2) conversion and other related applications.Zheyue Li Di Wu Wanbing Gong Jiayi Li Shuaikang Sang Hengjie Liu Ran Long Yujie Xiong 2022Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry2022,41,12:0
10Engineering active Ni-doped Co_(2)P catalyst for efficient electrooxidation coupled with hydrogen evolution显示文摘The thermodynamically favorable electrocatalytic oxidation coupled with hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is considered as a sustainable and promising technique.Nonetheless,it remains a great challenge due to the lack of simple,cheap,highefficient electrocatalysts.Here,we successfully develop a simple and scalable electro-deposition and subsequent phosphorization route to fabricate Ni-doped Co_(2)P(Ni-Co_(2)P)nanosheets catalyst using the in-situ released Ni species from defective Ni foam as metal source.Impressively,the as-synthesized Ni-Co_(2)P catalyst exhibits excellent electrochemical 5-hydroxymethylfurfural oxidation reaction(HOR)performance with>99%2,5-furandicarboxylic acid yield and>97%Faradaic efficiency at an ultralow potential of 1.29 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).Experimental characterization and theoretical calculation reveal that the atomically doped Ni species can enhance the adsorption of reactant and thus lower the reaction energy barriers.By coupling the electrocatalytic HOR with HER,the employed two-electrode system using Ni-Co_(2)P and commercial Ni foam as anode and cathode,respectively,exhibits a low cell voltage of 1.53 V to drive a current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2),which is 90 mV lower than that of pure water splitting.This work provides a facile and efficient approach for the preparation of high-performance earth-abundant electrocatalysts toward the concurrent production of H_(2)and value-added chemicals.Jiayi Li Xin Mao Wanbing Gong Xinyu Wang Yawen Jiang Ran Long Aijun Du Yujie Xiong 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
11E674Q(Shanghai APP mutant),a novel amyloid precursor protein mutation,in familial late-onset Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Identified as the pathogenic genes of Alzheimer's disease(AD),APP,PSEN1,and PSEN2 mainly lead to early-onset AD,whose course is more aggressive,and atypical symptoms are more common than sporadic AD.Here,a novel missense mutation,APP E674Q(also named“Shanghai APP”),was detected in a Chinese index patient with typical late-onset AD(LOAD)who developed memory decline in his mid-70s.The results from neuroimaging were consistent with AD,where widespread amyloidβdeposition was demonstrated in 18 F-florbetapir Positron Emission Tomography(PET).APP E674Q is close to theβ-secretase cleavage site and the well-studied Swedish APP mutation(KM670/671NL),which was predicted to be pathogenic in silico.Molecular dynamics simulation indicated that the E674Q mutation resulted in a rearrangement of the interaction mode between APP and BACE1 and that the E674Q mutation was more prone to cleavage by BACE1.The in vitro results suggested that the E674Q mutation was pathogenic by facilitating the BACE1-mediated processing of APP and the production of Aβ.Furthermore,we applied an adeno-associated virus(AAV)-mediated transfer of the human E674Q mutant APP gene to the hippocampi of two-month-old C57Bl/6 J mice.AAV-E674Q-injected mice exhibited impaired learning behavior and increased pathological burden in the brain,implying that the E674Q mutation had a pathogenicity that bore a comparison with the classical Swedish mutation.Collectively,we report a strong amyloidogenic effect of the E674Q substitution in AD.To our knowledge,E674Q is the only pathogenic mutation within the amyloid processing sequence causing LOAD.Yongfang Zhang Xinyi Xie Boyu Chen Lina Pan Jianping Li Wanbing Wang Jintao Wang Ran Tang Qiang Huang Xiaofen Chen Rujing Ren Zhentao Zhang Wei Fu Gang Wang 2024Genes & Diseases2024,11,2:0
