| 1 | GABAergic Abnormalities Associated with Sensorimotor Corticostriatal Community Structural Deficits in ErbB4 Knockout Mice and First-Episode Treatment-Naive Patients with Schizophrenia显示文摘The current study was designed to explore how disruption of specific molecular circuits in the cerebral cortex may cause sensorimotor cortico-striatal community structure deficits in both a mouse model and patients with schizophrenia.We used prepulse inhibition(PPI)and brain structural and diffusion MRI scans in 23 mice with conditional ErbB4 knockout in parvalbumin interneurons and 27 matched controls.Quantitative real-time PCR was used to assess the differential levels of GABA-related transcripts in brain regions.Concurrently,we measured structural and diffusion MRI and the cumulative contribution of risk alleles in the GABA pathway genes in firstepisode treatment-naı¨ve schizophrenic patients(n=117)and in age-and sex-matched healthy controls(n=86).We present the first evidence of gray and white matter impairment of right sensorimotor cortico-striatal networks and reproduced the sensorimotor gating deficit in a mouse model of schizophrenia.Significant correlations between gray matter volumes(GMVs)in the somatosensory cortex and PPI as well as glutamate decarboxylase 1 mRNA expression were found in controls but not in knockout mice.Furthermore,these findings were confirmed in a human sample in which we found significantly decreased gray and white matter in sensorimotor cortico-striatal networks in schizophrenic patients.The psychiatric risk alleles of the GABA pathway also displayed a significant negative correlation with the GMVs of the somatosensory cortex in patients.Our study identified that ErbB4 ablation in parvalbumin interneurons induced GABAergic dysregulation,providing valuable mechanistic insights into the sensorimotor cortico-striatal community structure deficits associated with schizophrenia. | Chengcheng Zhang Peiyan Ni Yikang Liu Yang Tian Jinxue Wei Bo Xiang Liansheng Zhao Xiaojing Li Xiaohong Ma Wei Deng Wanjun Guo Rongjun Ni Yamin Zhang Qiang Wang Hailiang Huang Nanyin Zhang Tao Li | 2020 | Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,2: | 9 |
| 2 | Co-Seismic Surface Rupture and Recurrence Interval of Large Earthquakes along Damaoyaba-Litang Segment of the Litang Fault on the Eastern Margin of the Tibetan Plateau in China显示文摘The Litang fault is a left-lateral secondary shear zone in the Sichuan-Yunnan active block that accommodates the tectonic deformation associated with the eastward extrusion of the upper crust of the Tibetan Plateau. Based on 1 : 50 000 geological mapping of active faults, the Litang fault consists of three geometric segments, the Cuopuhu, Damaoyaba, and Litang segments, in the west of Litang, which are divided by the of Haizi Mountain uplift and the wide-angle bending and branching of the fault near Jinchanggou. This study also identifies the surface rupture of the A.D. 1890 earthquake, which is distributed intermittently along the ~28 km long Damaoyaba segments and ~25 km long Litang segments. The maximum horizontal displacement is 4.1 m along Damaoyaba segments, and 4 m along Litang segments. The rupture involves typical left-lateral shear movement. The two ruptures are divided by discontinuous segments or gaps that are ~18 km long;thus, the total surface rupture is approximately 71 km long. The estimated moment magnitude was M_(w)7.3±0.1. A comprehensive analysis of data obtained from 5 trenches excavated along the Damaoyaba and Litang segments and the trench data by Xu et al.(2005) identifies age constraints of the 4 most recent paleoseimic events occurred B.C. 1468±54–1340±25, B.C. 52±25–A.D. 76±47, A.D. 1115±90, and A.D. 1890, respectively. The recurrence intervals are 1 415±80, 1 104±104, and 775±90 a, which are consistent with quasi-periodic earthquake recurrence behavior. | 3 | The Coupling Relationship between the Uplift of Longmen Shan and the Subsidence of Foreland Basin,Sichuan,China显示文摘Depending on the analysis of the coeval sedimentary geometry and subsidence mechanism in the Longmen Shan foreland basin, three models about the coupling relationship between Longmen Shan uplift and foreland basin subsidence since the Indosinian have been proposed:(1) crustal shortening and its related wide wedge-shaped foreland basin,(2) crustal isostatic rebound and its related tabular foreland basin, and(3) lower crustal flow and its related narrow wedge-shaped foreland basin. | 4 | Impact of technology advances on China's CO_2 emission reduction显示文摘Global warming tends to be the major characteristics of the dramatic global climate change.To deal with these changes,the impact of reducing greenhouse gas(GHG) emission on Chinese future economic and social development has to be assessed.In this paper,a Regional Integrated model of Climate and the Economy(RICE),which is well known and accepted widely,has been used for Chinese economic assessment of climate change after introduction,assimilation and verification.Based on a sensitivity analysis of technical parameters in the RICE model and constrained targets proposed for energy saving and emissions reduction technological advance programs of China from 2000 to 2050,the economic impact of the programs is examined.The results indicate that when technology advances,Chinese CO2 emission,climate loss,and the growth rate of atmospheric CO2 concentration and temperature will all decrease.It is assumed that in 2010,the CO2 emission is 20% lower than in 2005,CO2 emission in 2050 would only double the level in 2000,the accumulative CO2 emission would be decreased by 12.4 GtC,and the atmospheric CO2 concentration and temperature in 2050 would reduce by 35 GtC and 0.04°C respectively from 2000 to 2050.The accumulative climate loss from 2000 to 2050 will drop down by 4.6 billion dollar,which only accounts for 6% of the global total benefits.However,the economic benefit the developed countries will obtain is 10 times that for China under such a technological advance scenario.The decrease of the CO2 emission control rate is 1% in cooperation policy while 4.6% in non-cooperation policy,which would relieve China's burden in the control of CO2 total emission and thereby benefit China in participation of the international cooperation for CO2 emission reduction. | ZHENG YouFei LI HaiTao WU RongJun WANG LianXi | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,19: | 4 |

| 17 | Versatile band structure and electron-phonon coupling in layered PtSe_(2) with strong interlayer interaction显示文摘The large tunability in the band structure is ubiquitous in two-dimensional(2D)materials,and PtSe_(2) is not an exception,which has attracted considerable attention in electronic and optoelectronic applications due to its high carrier mobility and long-term airstability.Such dimensional dependent properties are closely related to the evolution of electronic band structures.Critical points(CPs),the extrema or saddle points of electronic bands,are the cornerstone of condensed-matter physics and fundamentally determine the optical and transport phenomena of the layered PtSe_(2).Here,we have experimentally revealed the detailed electronic structures in layered PtSe_(2),including the CPs in the Brillouin zones(BZs),by means of reflection contrast spectroscopy and spectroscopic ellipsometry(SE).There are three critical points in the BZs attributed to the excitonic transition,quasi-particle band gap,and the band nesting effect related transition,respectively.Three CPs show red-shifting trends with increasing layer number under the mechanism of strong interlayer coupling.We have further revealed the electron–phonon(e–ph)interaction in such layered material,utilizing temperature-dependent absorbance spectroscopy.The strength of e–ph interaction and the average phonon energy also decline with the increasement of layer number.Our findings give a deep understanding to the physics of the layer-dependent evolution of the electronic structure of PtSe_(2),potentially leading to applications in optoelectronics and electronic devices. | Junbo He Xudan Zhu Weiming Liu Ertao Hu Jianlu Wang Rongjun Zhang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,7: | 1 |
