1Mapping three-dimensional co-seismic surface deformations associated with the 2015 MW7.2 Murghab earthquake based on InSAR and characteristics of crustal strain显示文摘Three-dimensional(3 D) co-seismic surface deformations are of great importance to interpret the characteristics of coseismic deformations and to understand the geometries and dynamics of seismogenic faults. In this paper, we propose a method for mapping 3 D co-seismic deformations based on InSAR observations and crustal strain characteristics. In addition, the search strategy of correlation points is optimized by adaptive correlation distance, which greatly improves the applicability of the proposed method in restoring deformations in decorrelation areas. Results of the simulation experiment reveal that the proposed method is superior to conventional methods in both the accuracy and completeness. The proposed method is then applied to map the 3 D co-seismic surface deformations associated with the 2015 MW7.2 Murghab earthquake using ascending and descending ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 images. The results show that the seismogenic fault is the Sarez-Karakul fault(SKF), which is dominated by NE-SW strike slips with an almost vertical dip angle. The north section and the south segment near the epicentre have obvious subsidence along with a southwestward motion in the northwest wall, and the southeast wall has northeast movement and surface uplift trend along the fault zone. The strain field of the earthquake is also obtained by the proposed method. 3Influence of nano-mechanical evolution of Ti_(3)AlC_(2) ceramic on the arc erosion resistance of Ag-based composite electrical contact material显示文摘Al-containing MAX phase ceramic has demonstrated great potential in the field of high-performance low-voltage electrical contact material.Elucidating the anti-arc erosion mechanism of the MAX phase is crucial for further improving performance,but it is not well-understood.In this study,Ag/Ti_(3)AlC_(2) electrical contact material was synthesized by powder metallurgy and examined by nanoindentation techniques such as constant loading rate indentation,creep testing,and continuous stiffness measurements.Our results indicated a gradual degradation in the nano-mechanical properties of the Ti_(3)AlC_(2) reinforcing phase with increasing arc erosion times,although the rate of this degradation appeared to decelerate over arc erosion times.Specifically,continuous stiffness measurements highlighted the uneven mechanical properties within Ti_(3)AlC_(2),attributing this heterogeneity to the phase’s decomposition.During the early(1-100 times)and intermediate(100-1000 times)stages of arc erosion,the decline in the nano-mechanical properties of Ti_(3)AlC_(2) was primarily ascribed to the decomposition of Ti_(3)AlC_(2) and limited surface oxidation.During the later stage of arc erosion(1000-6200 times),the inner region of Ti_(3)AlC_(2) also sustained arc damage,but a thick oxide layer formed on its surface,enhancing the mechanical properties and overall arc erosion resistance of the Ag/Ti_(3)AlC_(2).Xuelian Wu Chengzhe Wu Xinpeng Wei Wanjie Sun Chengjian Ma Yundeng Zhang Gege Li Liming Chen Dandan Wang Peigen Zhang Zhengming Sun Jianxiang Ding 2024Journal of Advanced Ceramics2024,13,2:0
4High-Performance Natural Melanin/Poly(vinyl Alcohol-co-ethylene) Nanofibers/PA6 Fiber for Twisted and Coiled Fiber-Based Actuator显示文摘Twisted and coiled fiber-based actuators have drawn a great attention because their unique structure can provide mechanical response with the external thermal stimulus.Herein,an ultra-fast and light-weight twisted and coiled fiber-based actuator was designed based on a nature melanin/poly(vinyl alcohol-co-ethylene)(PVA-co-PE)nanofibers/PA6 composite fiber.In brief,PA6 was firstly coated by melanin/PVA-co-PE nanofibers using a spraying method,followed by the twisting and coat-ing the composite fiber to obtain the actuator.The excellent photothermal property of melanin contributed to the superior performance of the actuator,whereas the PVA-co-PE nanofibers was responsible for the uniform distribution of melanin and the enhanced mechanical property of the prepared-actuator.This unique design has led to the high performance of the melanin/NFs/PA6 fiber-based actuator,whose torsion actuation can reach to 14,000 rpm,and maximum tensile actuation was−6.36%at temperature difference of 40℃.In addition,the tensile stress of PA6/NFs/melanin fiber was about four times higher than PA6 filaments.Owing to the simple and environmental-benign preparation method,as well as the excellent effi-ciency of twisted and coiled melanin/NFs/PA6 fiber-based actuator,this study highlights the facile design of the composite fiber for high-performance fiber-based actuators.This fiber-based actuator is promising for application in energy generator.Jiahui Chen Esfandiar Pakdel Wanjie Xie Lu Sun Mengyuan Xu Qiongzhen Liu Dong Wang 2020Advanced Fiber Materials2020,2,2:0
5Effects of drought on non-structural carbohydrates and C,N,and P stoichiometric characteristics of Pinus yunnanensis seedlings显示文摘To study non-structural carbohydrate character-istics and nutrient utilization strategies of Pinus yunnanen-sis under continuous drought conditions,2-year-old seed-lings were planted in pots with appropriate water,light and moderate and severe drought treatments[(80±5),(65±5),(50±5),and(35±5)%of field water-holding capacity].Non-structural carbohydrates,carbon(C),nitrogen(N),and phosphorus(P)concentrations were measured in each plant component.The results show that:(1)With increasing drought,non-structural carbohydrates gradually increased in leaves,stems,and coarse roots,while gradually decreased in fine roots;(2)C concentrations of all were relatively stable under different stress levels.Phosphorous utilization of each component increased under light and moderate drought conditions,while N and P utilization efficiency of each plant component decreased under severe drought.Growth was mainly restricted by N,first decreasing and then increasing with increased drought;(3)There was a correlation between the levels of non-structural carbohydrates and C,N,and P in each component.Changes in N concentration affected the interconversion between soluble sugar and starch,which play a regulatory role in the fluctuation of the concentration of non-structural carbohydrates;and,(4)Plasticity analysis showed that P.yunnanensis seedlings responded to drought mainly by altering starch concentration,the ratio of soluble sugar to starch in leaves and stems,and further by alter-ing N and P utilization efficiencies.Overall,these results suggest that the physiological activities of all organs of P.yunnanensis seedlings are restricted under drought and that trade-offs exist between different physiological indicators and organs.Our findings are helpful in understanding non-structural carbohydrate and nutrient adaptation mechanisms under drought in P.yunnanensis seedlings.Zhijuan Zhao Lina Wang Yuanxi Liu Jianli Sun Jiandong Xiao Qiong Dong Lianfang Li Wanjie Zhang Chao Wang Junwen Wu 2024Journal of Forestry Research2024,35,1:0
