1Anti-inflammatory activity of curcumin-loaded tetrahedral framework nucleic acids on acute gouty arthritis显示文摘Gouty arthritis is a very familiar inflammatory arthritis.Controlling inflammation is the key to preventing gouty arthritis.However,colchicine,the most highly represented drug used in clinical practice,has strict contraindications owing to some severe side effects.Curcumin(Cur),a natural anti-inflammatory drug,has demonstrated good safety and efficacy.However,the rapid degradation,poor aqueous solubility,and low bioavailability of Cur limit its therapeutic effect.To strengthen the effectiveness and bioavailability of Cur.Cur loaded tetrahedral framework nucleic acids(Cur-TFNAs)were synthesized to deliver Cur.Compared with free Cur,Cur-TFNAs exhibit a preferable drug stability,good biocompatibility(CCK-8 assay),ease of uptake(immunofluorescence),and higher tissue utilization(in vivo biodistribution).Most importantly,Cur-TFNAs present better anti-inflammatory effect than free Cur both in vivo and in vitro experiments through the determination of inflammation-related cytokines expression.Therefore,we believe that Cur-TFNAs have great prospects for the prevention of gout and similar inflammatory diseases.Mei Zhang Xiaolin Zhang Taoran Tian Qi Zhang Yuting Wen Junyao Zhu Dexuan Xiao Weitong Cui Yunfeng Lin 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:10

3A Genome Sequence of Novel SARS-CoV Isolates: the Genotype, GD-Ins29, Leads to a Hypothesis of Viral Transmission in South China显示文摘We report a complete genomic sequence of rare isolates (minor genotype) of theSARS-CoV from SARS patients in Guangdong, China, where the first few casesemerged. The most striking discovery from the isolate is an extra 29-nucleotidesequence located at the nucleotide positions between 27,863 and 27,864 (referredto the complete sequence of B J01) within an overlapped region composed of BGI-PUP5 (BGI-postulated uncharacterized protein 5) and BGI-PUP6 upstream ofthe N (nucleocapsid) protein. The discovery of this minor genotype, GD-Ins29,suggests a significant genetic event and differentiates it from the previously re-ported genotype, the dominant form among all sequenced SARS-CoV isolates. A17-nt segment of this extra sequence is identical to a segment of the same size intwo human mRNA sequences that may interfere with viral genome replication andtranscription in the cytosol of the infected cells. 4A Simulation System and Speed Guidance Algorithms for Intersection Traffic Control Using Connected Vehicle Technology显示文摘In the connected vehicle environment, real-time vehicle-state data can be obtained through vehicle-toinfrastructure communication, and the prediction accuracy of urban traffic conditions can significantly increase.This study uses the C++/Qt programming language and framework to build a simulation platform. A two-way six-lane intersection is set up on the simulation platform. In addition, two speed guidance algorithms based on optimizing the travel time of a single vehicle or multiple vehicles are proposed. The goal of optimization is to minimize the travel time, with common indicators such as average delay of vehicles, average number of stops, and average stop time chosen as indexes of traffic efficiency. When the traffic flow is not saturated, compared with the case of no speed guidance, single-vehicle speed guidance can improve the traffic efficiency by 20%, whereas multi-vehicle speed guidance can improve the traffic efficiency by 50%. When the traffic flow is saturated, the speed guidance algorithms show outstanding performance. The effect of speed guidance gradually enhances with increasing penetration rate, and the most obvious gains are obtained when the penetration rate increases from 10% to 40%. 5The Structural Characterization and Antigenicity of the S Protein of SARS-CoV显示文摘The corona-like spikes or peplomers on the surface of the virion under electronicmicroscope are the most striking features of coronaviruses. The S (spike) proteinis the largest structural protein, with 1,255 amino acids, in the viral genome. Itsstructure can be divided into three regions: a long N-terminal region in the exte-rior, a characteristic transmembrane (TM) region, and a short C-terminus in theinterior of a virion. We detected fifteen substitutions of nucleotides by comparisonswith the seventeen published SARS-CoV genome sequences, eight (53.3%) of whichare non-synonymous mutations leading to amino acid alternations with predictedphysiochemical changes. The possible antigenic determinants of the S protein arepredicted, and the result is confirmed by ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbentassay) with synthesized peptides. Another profound finding is that three disulfidebonds are defined at the C-terminus with the N-terminus of the E (envelope) pro-tein, based on the typical sequence and positions, thus establishing the structuralconnection with these two important structural proteins, if confirmed. 6Study on the application of reinforcement learning in the operation optimization of HVAC system显示文摘Supervisory control can be used to optimize the HVAC system operation and achieve building energy conservation,while reinforcement learning(RL)is considered as a promising model-free supervisory control method.In this paper,we apply RL algorithm to the operation optimization of air-conditioning(AC)system and propose an innovative RL-based model-free control strategy combining rule-based and RL-based control algorithm as well as complete application process.We use a variable air volume(VAV)air-conditioning system for a single-storey office building as a case study to validate the optimization performance of the RL-based controller.We select control strategies with the rule-based control controller(RBC)and proportional-integral-derivative(PID)controller respectively as the reference cases.The results show that,for the air supply of single zone,the RL controller performs the best in terms of both non-comfortable time and energy costs of AC system after one-year exploration learning.The total energy consumption of AC system reduced by 7.7%and 4.7%,respectively compared with RBC and PID strategies.For the air supply of multi-zone,the performance of RL controller begins to outperform the reference strategies after two-year exploration learning and two-year buffer stage.From the seventh year on,RL controller performs much better in terms of both non-comfortable time and operating costs of AC system,while the operating cost of AC system is reduced by 2.7%to 4.6%compared with the reference strategies.In addition,RL controller is more suitable for small-scale operation optimization problems.Xiaolei Yuan Yiqun Pan Jianrong Yang Weitong Wang Zhizhong Huang 2021Building Simulation2021,14,1:5
7MII:A Novel Text Classification Model Combining Deep Active Learning with BERT显示文摘Active learning has been widely utilized to reduce the labeling cost of supervised learning.By selecting specific instances to train the model,the performance of the model was improved within limited steps.However,rare work paid attention to the effectiveness of active learning on it.In this paper,we proposed a deep active learning model with bidirectional encoder representations from transformers(BERT)for text classification.BERT takes advantage of the self-attention mechanism to integrate contextual information,which is beneficial to accelerate the convergence of training.As for the process of active learning,we design an instance selection strategy based on posterior probabilities Margin,Intra-correlation and Inter-correlation(MII).Selected instances are characterized by small margin,low intra-cohesion and high inter-cohesion.We conduct extensive experiments and analytics with our methods.The effect of learner is compared while the effect of sampling strategy and text classification is assessed from three real datasets.The results show that our method outperforms the baselines in terms of accuracy.Anman Zhang Bohan Li Wenhuan Wang Shuo Wan Weitong Chen 2020Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,6:4

9A potential stratotype for the regional lowermost stage of the continental Paleocene in China显示文摘Phanerozoic chronostratigraphic units can only be defined through their lower boundary stratotypes.The lowermost stage of the Paleocene of China,which mainly consists of terrestrial deposits,can only be defined through its lower boundary stratotype,i.e.the continental Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary stratotype.There is no section yet found which contains continuous terrestrial deposits and biostratigraphic records of the Cretaceous-Paleogene transition in Nanxiong,Guangdong and Jiayin,Heilongjiang,there is no evidence for establishing the continental stratotype of the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary in either area.Therefore,both the'Shanghuan stage'and'Furaoan stage'are not good candidates for the lowermost stage of the Paleocene of China.From the viewpoint of charophytes,the outcrop section of the Dangyang,Hubei Province(Central China)contains the most continuous,abundant and diverse terrestrial biostratigraphic records of the Cretaceous-Paleogene transition,in particular the early Paleocene,known so far in the world.The biostratigraphic records of ostracods in the transition are also continuous,rich,and diverse.The Dangyang outcrop section is the only section known so far in China that is a possible candidate for a continental stratotype of the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary in China and the section is the only potential section identified to date for establishing the regional lowermost stage of the Paleocene,Paleogene and Cenozoic in China or stratotype section for the stage.LI WeiTong LIU GengWu Dennis R.BRAMAN LI YiBin CAO WeiSheng Don BRINKMAN SHEN Jiao CHEN QingBao 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,5:3

11Autophagy,ferroptosis,pyroptosis,and necroptosis in tumor immunotherapy显示文摘In recent years,immunotherapy represented by immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)has led to unprecedented breakthroughs in cancer treatment.However,the fact that many tumors respond poorly or even not to ICIs,partly caused by the absence of tumorinfiltrating lymphocytes(TILs),significantly limits the application of ICIs.Converting these immune“cold”tumors into“hot”tumors that may respond to ICIs is an unsolved question in cancer immunotherapy.Since it is a general characteristic of cancers to resist apoptosis,induction of non-apoptotic regulated cell death(RCD)is emerging as a new cancer treatment strategy.Recently,several studies have revealed the interaction between non-apoptotic RCD and antitumor immunity.Specifically,autophagy,ferroptosis,pyroptosis,and necroptosis exhibit synergistic antitumor immune responses while possibly exerting inhibitory effects on antitumor immune responses.Thus,targeted therapies(inducers or inhibitors)against autophagy,ferroptosis,pyroptosis,and necroptosis in combination with immunotherapy may exert potent antitumor activity,even in tumors resistant to ICIs.This review summarizes the multilevel relationship between antitumor immunity and non-apoptotic RCD,including autophagy,ferroptosis,pyroptosis,and necroptosis,and the potential targeting application of non-apoptotic RCD to improve the efficacy of immunotherapy in malignancy.Weitong Gao Xueying Wang Yang Zhou Xueqian Wang Yan Yu 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,7:3
12Influences of the Paddy Rices with Different Moistures on the Head Rice Recovery显示文摘A major component rice varietv of Xiangwanxian 9 (a late Indica variety) with 13.1%, 15.6% and 18.3% of the moisture was respectively mixed with three ad-ditive varieties in 13% of moisture at ration of 7:3 for processing assorted rices. Head rice recovery of the treatments was determined 24 hours later.
