| 3 | Differential gene expression in porcine SK6 cells infected with wild-type and SAP domain-mutant foot-and-mouth disease virus显示文摘Foot-and-mouth disease virus(FMDV) is the causative agent of a highly contagious disease in livestock. The viral proteinaseL^(rop) of FMDV is involved in pathogenicity, and mutation of theL^(rop) SAP domain reduces FMDV pathogenicity in pigs. To determine the gene expression profiles associated with decreased pathogenicity in porcine cells, we performed transcriptome analysis using next-generation sequencing technology and compared differentially expressed genes in SK6 cells infected with FMDV containingL^(rop) with either a wild-type or mutated version of the SAP domain. This analysis yielded 1,853 genes that exhibited a ≥ 2-fold change in expression and was validated by real-time quantitative PCR detection of several differentially expressed genes. Many of the differentially expressed genes correlated with antiviral responses corresponded to genes associated with transcription factors, immune regulation, cytokine production, inflammatory response, and apoptosis. Alterations in gene expression profiles may be responsible for the variations in pathogenicity observed between the two FMDV variants. | 7 | Direct writing-in and visualizing reading-out data storage with high capacity in low-cost plastics显示文摘The explosive growth of the global data volume demands new and advanced data storage methods.Here,we report that data storage with ultrahigh capacity(~1 TB per disc)can be realized in low-cost plastics,including polycarbonate(PC),precipitated calcium carbonate(PCC),polystyrene(PS),and polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA),via direct fs laser writing.The focused fs laser can modify the fluorescence of written regions on the surface and in the interior of PMMA,enabling threedimensional(3D)information storage.Through the 3D laser processing platform,a 50-layer data record with low bit error(0.96%)is archived.Visual reading of data is empowered by the fluorescence contrast.The broad variation of fluorescence intensity assigns 8 gray levels,corresponding to 3 bits on each spot.The gray levels of each layer present high stability after longterm aging cycles,confirming the robustness of data storage.Upon single pulse control via a high-frequency electro-optic modulator(EOM),a fast writing speed(~1 kB/s)is achieved,which is limited by the repetition frequency of the fs laser. | Xin Wei Weiwei Zhao Jintao Yang Yong Zhang Junming Song Zhenhua Ni Junpeng Lu Hongwei Liu | 2022 | Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,6: | 0 |

The influences of reaction conditions on polymerization behavior are investigated, and poly(n-octyloxyallene) has a weight average molecular weight (M w ) of 20.6 × 10 3 with MWD of 1.39 and 100% yield is obtained under the optimum conditions: [Al]/[Y] = 50 mol/mol, [A]/[Y] = 100 mol/mol, with polymerization at 80 ℃ for 16 h in bulk. The kinetic studies of n-octyloxyallene homopolymerization indicate that the polymerization rate is first-order with respect to the monomer concentration and shows some controlled polymerization characteristics. Random copolymer of n-octyloxyallene with styrene is obtained by using the same binary catalyst system; the reactivity ratios of the comonomer determined by Kelen Tüd s method are r A = 1.20 and r St = 0.35, respectively, the ratio of each segment and M w of the resulting copolymer could be controlled by varying the feed ratio of each monomer. | 10 | Characterization and spatial analysis of coseismic landslides triggered by the Luding Ms 6.8 earthquake in the Xianshuihe fault zone, Southwest China显示文摘On September 5, 2022, a magnitude Ms 6.8 earthquake occurred along the Moxi fault in the southern part of the Xianshuihe fault zone located in the southeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau,resulting in severe damage and substantial economic loss. In this study, we established a coseismic landslide database triggered by Luding Ms 6.8 earthquake, which includes 4794 landslides with a total area of 46.79 km^(2). The coseismic landslides primarily consisted of medium and small-sized landslides, characterized by shallow surface sliding. Some exhibited characteristics of high-position initiation resulted in the obstruction or partial obstruction of rivers, leading to the formation of dammed lakes. Our research found that the coseismic landslides were predominantly observed on slopes ranging from 30° to 50°, occurring at between 1000 m and 2500 m, with slope aspects varying from 90° to 180°. Landslides were also highly developed in granitic bodies that had experienced structural fracturing and strong-tomoderate weathering. Coseismic landslides concentrated within a 6 km range on both sides of the Xianshuihe and Daduhe fault zones. The area and number of coseismic landslides exhibited a negative correlation with the distance to fault lines, road networks, and river systems, as they were influenced by fault activity, road excavation, and river erosion. The coseismic landslides were mainly distributed in the southeastern region of the epicenter, exhibiting relatively concentrated patterns within the IX-degree zones such as Moxi Town, Wandong River basin, Detuo Town to Wanggangping Township. Our research findings provide important data on the coseismic landslides triggered by the Luding Ms 6.8 earthquake and reveal the spatial distribution patterns of these landslides. | 11 | Mid-infrared plasmonic silicon quantum dot/HgCdTe photodetector with ultrahigh specific detectivity显示文摘Highly sensitive photodetectors operating at mid-infrared(MIR)wavelengths are urgently required for the applications of astronomy,optical communication,security monitoring,and so forth.However,further promoting the sensitivity in conventional MIR devices for a higher detectivity is challenging.Among the potential strategies,integrating localized surface plasmon resonance with MIR semiconductors is a promising approach to developing high-performance optoelectronics.Here we demonstrate a high-sensitivity boron(B)-doped silicon quantum dot(Si-QD)/HgCdTe(MCT)MIR photodetector.Because of plasmon-induced hot-hole tunneling and enhanced light absorption,the hybrid photodetector exhibits a high specific detectivity of~1.6×10^(9)cm·Hz^(1/2)·W-1(Jones)and a high-speed response(~224 ns for the rise time and~580 ns for the fall time)at room temperature.Furthermore,the device achieves high-performance spectral blackbody detection with a peak detectivity of up to 1.6×10^(11)Jones at~5.8μm under a cryogenic environment of 77 K,higher than that of bare MCT.This prominent enhancement can be attributed to the further suppression of hot-hole cooling due to a reduced phonon population at low temperatures,which facilitates more efficient hot-carrier extraction and contributes to ultrahigh sensitivity.The plasmonic material-integrated MCT architecture can pave the way for developing high-performance MIR photodetection. | Yueying CUI Zhouyu TONG Xinlei ZHANG Wenhui WANG Weiwei ZHAO Yuanfang YU Xiaodong PI Jialin ZHANG Zhenhua NI | 2023 | Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,4: | 0 |
| 12 | Efficient charge transfer in WS_(2)/W_(x)Mo_(1-x)S_(2) heterostructure empowered by energy level hybridization显示文摘Photoinduced charge transfer(CT) is decisive to the efficiency and speed of photoelectric conversion in two-dimensional(2D) van der Waals(vd Ws) heterostructures. Generally, CT rate enhancement is realized by increasing the band offset(BO). In this study, we propose that a fast and efficient CT can be realized via strong hybridization of energy levels in 2D vd Ws heterostructures with minimal BO. Firstprinciples calculations reveal that the smallest energy difference between conduction-band edges and minimal BO in the WS_(2)/W_(x)Mo_(1-x)S_(2)(x = 0.78) heterostructure yields the strong hybridization of energy levels and then results in ultrafast CT(2.7 ps). Experimental results agree with theoretical calculations. The photoluminescence of WS_(2) is quenched in the WS_(2)/W_(x)Mo_(1-x)S_(2)(x = 0.78) heterostructure, attributable to the strong hybridization-induced fast and efficient CT.
