1Rapid Optimization of Tension Distribution for Cable-Driven Parallel Manipulators with Redundant Cables显示文摘The solution of tension distributions is infinite for cable-driven parallel manipulators(CDPMs) with redundant cables. A rapid optimization method for determining the optimal tension distribution is presented. The new optimization method is primarily based on the geometry properties of a polyhedron and convex analysis. The computational efficiency of the optimization method is improved by the designed projection algorithm, and a fast algorithm is proposed to determine which two of the lines are intersected at the optimal point. Moreover, a method for avoiding the operating point on the lower tension limit is developed. Simulation experiments are implemented on a six degree-of-freedom(6-DOF) CDPM with eight cables, and the results indicate that the new method is one order of magnitude faster than the standard simplex method. 3Structuring Nonlinear Wavefront Emitted from Monolayer Transition-Metal Dichalcogenides显示文摘The growing demand for tailored nonlinearity calls for a structure with unusual phase discontinuity that allows the realization of nonlinear optical chirality,holographic imaging,and nonlinear wavefront control.Transition-metal dichalcogenide(TMDC)monolayers offer giant optical nonlinearity within a few-angstrom thickness,but limitations in optical absorption and domain size impose restriction on wavefront control of nonlinear emissions using classical light sources.In contrast,noble metal-based plasmonic nanosieves support giant field enhancements and precise nonlinear phase control,with hundred-nanometer pixellevel resolution;however,they suffer from intrinsically weak nonlinear susceptibility.Here,we report a multifunctional nonlinear interface by integrating TMDC monolayers with plasmonic nanosieves,yielding drastically different nonlinear functionalities that cannot be accessed by either constituent.Such a hybrid nonlinear interface allows second-harmonic(SH)orbital angular momentum(OAM)generation,beam steering,versatile polarization control,and holograms,with an effective SH nonlinearityχ^((2))of~25 nm/V.This designer platform synergizes the TMDC monolayer and plasmonic nanosieves to empower tunable geometric phases and large field enhancement,paving the way toward multifunctional and ultracompact nonlinear optical devices.Xuanmiao Hong Guangwei Hu Wenchao Zhao Kai Wang Shang Sun Rui Zhu Jing Wu Weiwei Liu Kian Ping Loh Andrew Thye Shen Wee Bing Wang Andrea Alù Cheng-Wei Qiu Peixiang Lu 2020Research2020,,1:5
4Integrated Virtual Assembly Process Planning System显示文摘Assembly process planning(APP) for complicated products is a time-consuming and difficult work with conventional method.Virtual assembly process planning(VAPP) provides engineers a new and efficiency way.Previous studies in VAPP are almost isolated and dispersive,and have not established a whole understanding and discussed key realization techniques of VAPP from a systemic and integrated view.The integrated virtual assembly process planning(IVAPP) system is a new virtual reality based engineering application,which offers engineers an efficient,intuitive,immersive and integrated method for assembly process planning in a virtual environment.Based on analysis the information integration requirement of VAPP,the architecture of IVAPP is proposed.Through the integrated structure,IVAPP system can realize information integration and workflow controlling.In order to model the assembly process in IVAPP,a hierarchical assembly task list(HATL) is presented,in which different assembly tasks for assembling different components are organized into a hierarchical list.A process-oriented automatic geometrical constraint recognition algorithm(AGCR) is proposed,so that geometrical constraints between components can be automatically recognized during the process of interactive assembling.At the same time,a progressive hierarchical reasoning(PHR) model is discussed.AGCR and PHR will greatly reduce the interactive workload.A discrete control node model(DCNM) for cable harness assembly planning in IVAPP is detailed.DCNM converts a cable harness into continuous flexed line segments connected by a series of section center points,and designs can realize cable harness planning through controlling those control nodes.Mechanical assemblies(such as transmission case and engine of automobile) are used to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method and algorithms.The application of IVAPP system reveals advantages over the traditional assembly process planning method in shortening the time-consumed in assembly planning and in minimizing the handling difficulty,excessive reorientation and dissimilarity of assembly operations.LIU Jianhua HOU Weiwei SHANG Wei NING Ruxin 2009Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,5:5
5Magnetic-field enhanced high-thermoelectric performance in topological Dirac semimetal Cd3As2 crystal显示文摘Thermoelectric materials can be used to convert heat to electric power through the Seebeck effect. We study magneto-thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT) in three-dimensional Dirac semimetal Cd_3As_2 crystal.It is found that enhancement of power factor and reduction of thermal conductivity can be realized at the same time through magnetic field although magnetoresistivity is greatly increased. ZT can be highly enhanced from 0.17 to 1.1 by more than six times around 350 K under a perpendicular magnetic field of 7 T. The huge enhancement of ZT by magnetic field arises from the linear Dirac band with large Fermi velocity and the large electric thermal conductivity in Cd_3As_2. 6Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 7Heterogeneous oxidation of SO_2 by O_3-aged black carbon and its dithiothreitol oxidative potential显示文摘Ozone(O3) is an important atmospheric oxidant. Black carbon(BC) particles released into the atmosphere undergo an aging process via O3 oxidation. O3-aged BC particles may change their uptake ability toward trace reducing gases such as SO2 in the atmosphere,leading to different environmental and health effects. In this paper, the heterogeneous reaction process between O3-aged BC and SO2 was explored via in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS). Combined with ion chromatography(IC),DRIFTS was used to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the sulfate product. The results showed that O3-aged BC had stronger SO2 oxidation ability than fresh BC, and the reactive species/sites generated on the surface had an important role in the oxidation of SO2.Relative humidity or 254 nm UV(ultraviolet) light illumination enhanced the oxidation uptake of SO2 on O3-aged BC. The oxidation potentials of the BC particles were detected via dithiothreitol(DTT) assay. 8DTHMM based delay modeling and prediction for networked control systems显示文摘In the forward channel of a networked control system (NCS), by defining the network states as a hidden Markov chain and quantizing the network-induced delays to a discrete sequence distributing over a finite time interval, the relation between the network states and the network-induced delays is modelled as a discrete-time hidden Markov model (DTHMM). The expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is introduced to derive the maximumlikelihood estimation (MLE) of the parameters of the DTHMM. Based on the derived DTHMM, the Viterbi algorithm is introduced to predict the controller-to-actuator (C-A) delay during the current sampling period. 9Maximum power point tracking of PV system under partial shading conditions through flower pollination algorithm显示文摘For maximum utilization of solar energy,photovoltaic(PV)power systems should be operated at the maximum power point(MPP)which can be achieved using maximum power point tracking(MPPT)methods.However,the occurrence of multi-peak on P-V curve of a PV array due to the changing environmental conditions such as being partially shaded increases the complexity of the tracking process.The global MPP cannot always be achieved by the conventional MPPT methods.Therefore a novel MPPT method for PV systems using flower pollination(FP)algorithm is proposed in this paper and the Levy flight is used to improve the convergence of FP algorithm.MPPT model of the PV system is established in MATLAB to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,and the proposed method is compared with two well established MPPT methods.The simulation results indicate that the proposed MPPT method can quickly track the changes in external environment and effectively handle the partially shaded condition.Liqun Shang Weiwei Zhu Pengwei Li Hangchen Guo 2018Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems2018,3,1:1

13An improved MPPT control strategy based on incremental conductance algorithm显示文摘PV power production is highly dependent on environmental and weather conditions,such as solar irradiance and ambient temperature.Because of the single control condition and any change in the external environment,the first step response of the converter duty cycle of the traditional MPPT incremental conductance algorithm is not accurate,resulting in misjudgment.To improve the efficiency and economy of PV systems,an improved incremental conductance algorithm of MPPT control strategy is proposed.From the traditional incremental conductance algorithm,this algorithm is simple in structure and can discriminate the instantaneous increment of current,voltage and power when the external environment changes,and so can improve tracking efficiency.MATLAB simulations are carried out under rapidly changing solar radiation level,and the results of the improved and conventional incremental conductance algorithm are compared.The results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively identify the misjudgment and avoid its occurrence.It not only optimizes the system,but also improves the efficiency,response speed and tracking efficiency of the PV system,thus ensuring the stable operation of the power grid.Liqun Shang Hangchen Guo Weiwei Zhu 2020Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems2020,5,1:1
14In situ resource utilization of lunar soil for highly efficient extraterrestrial fuel and oxygen supply显示文摘Building up a lunar settlement is the ultimate aim of lunar exploitation.Yet,limited fuel and oxygen supplies restrict human survival on the Moon.Herein,we demonstrate the in situ resource utilization of lunar soil for extraterrestrial fuel and oxygen production,which may power up our solely natural satellite and supply respiratory gas.Specifically,the lunar soil is loaded with Cu species and employed for electro catalytic CO_(2)conversion,demonstrating significant production of methane.In addition,the selected component in lunar soil(i.e.MgSiO_(3))loaded with Cu can reach a CH_(4)F aradaic efficiency of 72.05% with a CH_(4)production rate of 0.8 mL/min at 600 mA/cm^(2).Simultaneously,an O_(2)production rate of 2.3 mL/min can be achieved.Furthermore,we demonstrate that our developed process starting from catalyst preparation to electrocatalytic CO_(2)conversion is so accessible that it can be operated in an unmmaned manner via a robotic system.Such a highly efficient extraterrestrial fuel and oxygen production system is expected to push forward the development of mankind’s civilization toward an extraterrestrial settlement.Yuan Zhong Jingxiang Low Qing Zhu Yawen Jiang Xiwen Yu Xinyu Wang Fei Zhang Weiwei Shang Ran Long Yingfang Yao Wei Yao Jun Jiang Yi Luo Weihua Wang Jinlong Yang Zhigang Zou Yujie Xiong 2023National Science Review2023,10,2:1

16Adaptive Secure Transmission for Wireless Powered Communication Networks显示文摘This paper investigates secure transmission in a wireless powered communication network(WPCN)with an energy harvesting(EH)source configured with multiple antennas.In the WPCN,the EH source harvests energy from the radio frequency(RF)signals broadcasted by a power beacon(PB),and purely relies on the harvested energy to communicate with the destination in the presence of passive eavesdroppers.It is noteworthy that the RF-EH source is equipped with a finite energy storage to accumulate the harvested energy for the future usage.Moreover,due to energy-constraint and complexitylimitation,the multi-antenna source is only configured with a single RF-chain.To enhance the security for the WPCN,we propose two adaptive transmission schemes,i.e.,energy-aware transmit antenna selection(EATAS)and energy-aware differential spatial modulation(EADSM).According to the energy status and the channel quality,the source adaptively decides whether to transmit confidential information or harvest RF energy.To evaluate the secrecy performance of the proposed schemes,we first study the evolution of the energy storage,and then derive the analytical expressions of connection outage probability(COP),secrecy outage probability(SOP)and efficient secrecy throughput(EST).Numerical results demonstrate that our proposed schemes outperform the existing schemes,i.e.,time-switching based TAS(TS-TAS)Received:May 19,2020 Revised:Sep.13,2020 Editor:Deli Qiao and accumulate-then-transmit(ATT).And,increasing the transmit power of the PB or the capacity of the source’s energy storage is helpful to improve the secrecy performance.Moreover,there exists an optimal transmission rate for each proposed scheme to achieve best secrecy performance.Yong Wang Weiwei Yang Tao Zhang Yong Chen Xiaohui Shang Quan Wang 2021China Communications2021,18,3:1

20Knockdown of insulin-like growth factor 2 gene disrupts mitochondrial functions in the liver显示文摘Even though insulin-like growth factor 2(IGF2)has been reported to be overexpressed in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),its role in the progression of NAFLD and the potential mechanism remain largely unclear.Using in vitro models,we found that IGF2 was the key overexpressed gene in steatosis,suggesting a possible association between IGF2 and NAFLD.Interestingly,loss-of-function experiments revealed that inhibition of IGF2 protein impaired mitochondrial biogenesis and respiration.It additionally disrupted the expression changes of mitochondrial fusion and fission-related proteins necessary in maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis.Consistently,IGF2 knockdown reduced the mitochondrial membrane potential and increased the production of reactive oxygen species.Mechanistically,IGF2 regulates mitochondrial functions by modulating the expression of SIRT1 and its downstream gene PGCla.This research opens a new frontier on the role of IGF2 in energy metabolism,which potentially participates in the development of NAFLD.As such,IGF2 is a potential therapeutic target against NAFLD.Weiwei Gui Yiyi Zhu Shuiya Sun Weifen Zhu Bowen Tan Hanxin Zhao Chengxin Shang Fenping Zheng Xihua Lin Hong Li 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,8:1
