| 1 | Expression of neurocan mRNA and ultrastructure of brain tissue after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in stroke-prone renovascular hypertensive rats treated by electroacupuncture显示文摘We established a stroke-prone renovascular hypertensive rat model by bilateral constriction of the renal artery with sliver loop clips. After ten weeks, middle cerebral artery occlusion was induced for 2 hours. The rats then received electro-acupuncture at Baihui (DU 20) and Dazhui (DU 14) after onset of ischemia for 30 days. In situ hybridization study showed that electroacupuncture significantly reduced the number of neurocan mRNA-positive cells in the ischemic penumbra and hippocampal tissues of rats. Electron microscopy results demonstrated that the structure of neurons and blood vessels in the ischemic tissues were restored with electroacupuncture. | 2 | Unloading performances and stabilizing practices for columnar jointed basalt:A case study of Baihetan hydropower station显示文摘The columnar jointed rock mass(CJR), composed of polygonal cross-sectional columns cut by several groups of joints in various directions, was exposed during the excavations of the Baihetan hydropower station, China. In order to investigate the unloading performances and the stability conditions during excavation of the columns, an experimental field study was performed. Firstly, on-site investigations indicated that the geotechnical problems, including rock relaxation, cracking and collapse, were the most prominent for the CJR Class I that contains intensive joint network and the smallest column sizes.Comprehensive field tests, including deformation measurement by multi-point extensometers, ultrasonic wave testing, borehole television observation and stress monitoring of rock anchors, revealed that the time-dependent relaxation of the CJRs was marked. The practical excavation experiences for the Baihetan columnar jointed rock masses, such as blasting scheme, supporting time of shotcrete and rock bolts, were presented in the excavations of the diversion tunnels. | 16 | IRC analysis of methanol carbonylation reaction catalyzed by rhodium complex显示文摘In the reaction cycle for methanol carbonylation catalyzed by Rh complex, the structure geometries of the reactant, intermediates, transition states and product of each elemental reaction have been studied by using the energy gradient method at HF/LANL2DZ level, and the changes of their potential profiles have also been calculated. Through IRC analyses of the transition states for each elemental reaction, it is confirmed that the various structure geometries obtained are stationary points on the cycle reaction pathway of methanol carbonylation catalyzed by Rh complex, and the changes are given in energies and structure geometries of the reactant molecules along the reaction pathway of lowest energy. It has been proposed that the geometrical conversions of intermediates play an important role during the cycle reaction. Through analyses of structure geometries, it has been suggested that, in addition to cis- and trans- structure exchange linkage of catalysis reactive species, the two pathways, cis- and trans-cata- lyzed cycle reactions, can also be linked through geometrical conversion of intermediates, of which the activation energy is 49.79 kJ/mol. Moreover, the reductive elimination elemental reaction may be neither cis-cycle nor trans- one, showing that the cycle reaction can be achieved through various pathways.
