1Sequence Stratigraphy of the Jurassic Coal Measures in Northwestern China显示文摘The sequence stratigraphy of the Jurassic coal measures of northwestern China has been studied based on data from outcrop and borehole sections. Because of the geological background and the diversity of basin types, such as isochronisms of coal seams and recognition of key sequence boundaries, it is rare to summarize and correlate sequence structure and framework. The types and recognition characteristics of the sequence boundaries of the Jurassic coal measures are revealed by comparing climatic characteristics, structural styles and the base level cycle. A total of five third-order sequences and 15 systems tracts have been subdivided and the sequence stratigraphic framework has been reconstructed confirming that the thick coals accumulated in the late stage of transgression system tracts of sequence I (SQ I) and sequence III (SQ III). This idea is of important academic significance for instructing coal resources exploration, and enhancing geological effects of prospecting engineering. 2Impacts of artificially planted vegetation on the ecological restoration of movable sand dunes in the Mugetan Desert,northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Controlling desertification is an important ecological target for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China,where studies on impacts of vegetation restoration measures on sandy soil improvement are still lacking.The Mugetan Desert in Guinan County,Qinghai Province,northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is a representative ecological restoration area.The impacts of artificial vegetation on the ecological restoration and its properties are studied by using field investigation and sample testing including contents of the surface layer and the vegetation composition of movable,semi-fixed,and fixed sand dunes.Results demonstrate that the moss crust has formed on the surface of a sand dune which has become fixed after 30 years under the impact of artificial vegetation(i.e.Cathay poplar).Meanwhile,the clay minerals,organic matter,and other soil available nutrients have markedly increased.A correlation has been found between these materials,i.e.,clay minerals and organic matter content increasing with silt and clay increases with reduction in sand content.In addition,soil nutrient were positively correlated with the increase of plant diversity.Under the current meteorological conditions,the artificial vegetation is helpful for the stabilization of sand dune and the ecological restoration in the Mugetan Desert.Yanfu Li Zhiwei Li Zhaoyin Wang Wenlong Wang Yanhong Jia Shimin Tian 2017International Journal of Sediment Research2017,32,2:8
3Diode-pumped power scalable Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:CYA laser显示文摘Stable 68 fs pulses with the average power of 1.5 W is directly generated from a multimode diode-pumped Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:CYA laser by separating the gain medium and Kerr medium. The repetition rate is about 50 MHz, resulting in a single pulse energy of 30 n J and a peak power of 0.44 MW. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest single pulse energy ever produced from a mode-locked Yb:CYA oscillator. Our experimental results show that Yb:CYA crystal is an excellent candidate for multiwatt, sub-100 fs pulse generation in diode-pumped all-solid-state lasers. 4Application of defin让ive screening design to quantify the effects of process parameters on key granule characteristics and optimize operating parameters in pulsed-spray fluid-bed granulation显示文摘The pulsed-spray fluid-bed granulation (PSFBG) process was investigated and optimized using definitive scree ning design, a recently proposed new class of three-level desig n of experiment method. Such a design enabled quadratic models to be established that described the effect of six in put process parameters - inlet air temperature, inlet air humidity, binder spray rate, atomization pressure, pulse period, and pulse width - on the granule quality in a PSFBG process. Mathematical models of the mean particle size, relative size distribution width, production yield, and porosity were developed to quantify the relationships between the in flue ncing factors and critical quality attributes. On the basis of con strai nts on the desired granule properties, a design space for PSFBG was determined and ranges of the operating parameters were defined. An acceptable degree of prediction was confirmed by validation experiments, demonstrating the reliability and effectiveness of using definitive screening design to study the PSFBG process. 8Mineral composition and particle size distribution of river sediment and loess in the middle and lower Yellow River显示文摘Hyperconcentrated flows often occur in the middle and lower Yellow River(MLYR)and its tributaries,within which the main sediment source originates from the Loess Plateau of China due to serious water erosion.Little is known about the properties of river sediment that is transported by hyperconcentrated flows,particularly with respect to the mineral composition and size distribution.Samples of sediment and loess were collected in the northern,middle,and southern Loess Plateau and the mainstream and tributaries of the MLYR.A total of 18 loess samples and 24 river sediment samples were analyzed to determine their sediment size distribution and mineral composition.The bottom loess samples reflected the original sedimentary features of the Loess Plateau,and the median particle size reduced,and the clay content increased from the north to the south of the study region.The surface loess has been weathered under the action of wind and rainfall,and the clay particle content in the surface loess samples was higher than that in the undisturbed bottom loess.Erosion of the surface soil due to rainfall and surface runoff means that fine particles(mostly clay)have been washed away.The median diameter of surface loess particles was a little larger than that of the bottom loess particles where water erosion dominates.The particle size became coarser with increasing distance from the estuary in the MLYR,which reflects depositional sorting in the river channel.Significant logarithmic relations were found between the median diameter of the sediment particles and the i)non-clay mineral content and ii)clay mineral content.Thus,clay and non-clay mineral compositions can be conveniently estimated from the particle size distribution.Shimin Tian Zhiwei Li Zhaoyin Wang Enhui Jiang Wenlong Wang Meng Sun 2021International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,3:3

15NSUN2-mediated mRNA m^(5)C Modification Regulates the Progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘RNA modifications affect many biological processes and physiological diseases.The 5-methylcytosine(m^(5)C)modification regulates the progression of multiple tumors.However,its characteristics and functions in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain largely unknown.Here,we found that HCC tissues had a higher m^(5)C methylation level than the adjacent normal tissues.Transcriptome analysis revealed that the hypermethylated genes mainly participated in the phosphokinase signaling pathways,such as the Ras and PI3K-Akt pathways.The m^(5)C methyltransferase NSUN2 was highly expressed in HCC tissues.Interestingly,the expression of many genes was positively correlated with the expression of NSUN2,including GRB2,RNF115,AATF,ADAM15,RTN3,and HDGF.Real-time PCR assays further revealed that the expression of the mRNAs of GRB2,RNF115,and AATF decreased significantly with the down-regulation of NSUN2 expression in HCC cells.Furthermore,NSUN2 could regulate the cellular sensitivity of HCC cells to sorafenib via modulating the Ras signaling pathway.Moreover,knocking down NSUN2 caused cell cycle arrest.Taken together,our study demonstrates the vital role of NSUN2 in the progression of HCC.Dan Song Ke An Wenlong Zhai Luyao Feng Yingjie Xu Ran Sun Yueqin Wang Yun-Gui Yang Quancheng Kan Xin Tian 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,4:1

17Real-time monitoring and fault detection of pulsed-spray fluid-bed granulation using near-infrared spectroscopy and multivariate process trajectories显示文摘Pulsed spray is a useful tool forgranule size control in fluid bed granulation.To improve the quality control of pulsed-spray fluid bed granulation,a combination of in-line near-infrared(NIR)spectroscopy and p「incipal component analysis was used to develop multivariate statistical process control(MSPC)charts.Different types of MSPC charts were developed,including principal component score charts,Hotelling's T2 control charts,and distance to model X control charts,to monitor the batch evolution throughout the granulation process.Correlation optimized warping was used as an alignment method to deal with the time variation in batches caused by the granulation mechanism in MSPC modeling.The control charts developed in this study were validated on normal batches and tested on four batches that deviated from normal processing conditions to achieve real-time fault analysis.The results indicated that the NIR spectroscopy-based MSPC model included the variability in the sample set constituting the model and could withstand external variability.This research demonstrated the application of synchronized NIR spectra in conjunction w让h multivariate batch modeling as an attractive tool for process monitoring and a fault diagnosis method for effective process control in pulsed-spray fluid bed granulation.Jie Zhao Wenlong Li Haibin Qu Geng Tian Yanding Wei 2020Particuology2020,,6:1
18Using a Modified GOI Index(Effective Grid Containing Oil Inclusions)to Indicate Oil Zones in Carbonate Reservoirs显示文摘The GOI(grains containing oil inclusions) index is used to distinguish oil zones,oil-water zones and water zones in sandstone oil reservoirs.However,this method cannot be directly applied to carbonate rocks that may not have clear granular textures.In this paper we propose the Effective Grid Containing Oil Inclusions(EGOI) method for carbonate reservoirs.A microscopic view under10× ocular and 10 x objective is divided into 10×10 grids,each with an area of 0.0625 mm×0.0625 mm.An effective grid is defined as one that is cut(touched) by a stylolite,a healed fracture,a vein,or a pore-filling material.EGOI is defined as the number of effective grids containing oil inclusions divided by the total number of effective grids multiplied by 100%.Based on data from the Tarim Basin,the EGOI values indicative of the paleo-oil zones,oil-water zones,and water zones are >5%,l%-5%,and <1%,respectively.However,the oil zones in young reservoirs(charged in the Himalayan) generally have lower EGOI values,typically 3%-5%.ZHANG Nai PAN Wenlong TIAN Long YU Xiaoqing JIANG Jing JIN Xu 2015Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,3:1

20Influences of rock fragments on the hydraulics and erosion of concentrated runoff in steep spoil heaps on the Loess Plateau of China显示文摘The soil-rock mixed spoil heaps are prone to severe soil erosion during heavy rain,causing severe land degradation and ecological and environmental damage.Nevertheless,past research on the erosion on spoil heaps has focused on soil particles that were readily eroded and disregarded the rock fragments(RF)that were not readily eroded.To explore the effect of the RF embedded in spoil heaps on the hydraulics of and erosion caused by concentrated runoff,scour-erosion experiments were implemented on three types of spoil heaps:RF=7%,RF=45%,and RF=69%.The RF clearly reduced runoff and erosion on steep spoil heaps.As the RF increased from 7%to 69%,the runoff intensity and runoff coefficient decreased by 72.9%-79.1%and 83.2%-84.1%respectively,and the sediment concentration,soil denudation rate,and total soil loss decreased by 36.0%-47.8%,83.7%-87.1%,and 87.0%-92.3%,respectively.Narrow rills were generated during the experiments,and the RF distinctly influenced the rill characteristics.High contents of RF restrained rill retreating and undercutting,and promoted rill widening.With an increase in RF,the flow shear stress and stream power gradually decreased,and the Darcy-Weisbach roughness coefficient increased.These findings imply that the RF dissipated the flow energy and reduced soil detachment capacity and sediment transport capacity.Soil detachment is strongly related to the Darcy-Weisbach roughness coefficient,Reynolds number,and runoff intensity,which may be the preferred descriptors of soil detachment.The current findings indicate that embedded rock fragments could effectively reduce soil loss on steep spoil heaps.Wenzhao Guo Hongliang Kang Xiao Yu Wenlong Wang Pei Tian 2022International Journal of Sediment Research2022,37,5:0
