1Long Chain Acyl-Coenzyme A Synthetase 4(BnLACS4) Gene from Brassica napus Enhances the Yeast Lipid Contents显示文摘Long-chain acyl-Coenzyme A(CoA) synthetases(LACSs) catalyze the formation of long-chain acyl-CoA,and play important roles in fatty acid metabolism including phospholipids,triacylglycerol(TAG) biosynthesis and fatty acid β-oxidation.Here,we report the characterization of a LACS gene from Brassica napus.It is highly homologous to Arabidopsis LACS4 and thus designated as BnLACS4.The cloned gene BnLACS4 could complement a LACS-deficient yeast strain YB525.It is mainly expressed in flowers and developing seeds where lipid biosynthesis is at high rate in Brassica napus.When transiently expressed in tobacco leaves,BnLACS4 is localized in endoplasmic reticulum(ER),the common site for eukaryotic pathway of lipid biosynthesis.Expression of BnLACS4 in the yeast strain pep4 increased its lipid content.Taken together,our results suggest that BnLACS4 may be involved in lipid biosynthesis in B.napus.TAN Xiao-li ZHENG Xiang-feng ZHANG Zhi-yan WANG Zheng XIA Heng-chuan LU Changming GU Shou-lai 2014Journal of Integrative Agriculture2014,13,1:4
2Indoor imitation experimental study on driving factors of rainfall-runoff process显示文摘The driving actions of rainfall-runoff process can be attributed to two aspects. The first is the influence of precipitation process, and the second is that of the ground pad. The re- search results of 179 indoor experiments conducted to imitate rainfall-runoff process indicate that both precipitation duration and intensity play important roles in affecting confluence lag time, which is obviously inconsistent with the traditional hypotheses. The nonlinear relationship is of great significance to the confluence curve especially when the precipitation duration is less than the total confluence time or the precipitation intensity is small. Therefore it can be concluded that the unit hydrograph (UH) can be applied to rainfall-runoff process imitation in the humid areas in the south China region. However, the UH application should be strictly modified in accordance with precipitation conditions in the arid and semiarid region of north China where the precipitation duration is short and the intensity is unstable. It will be hard to get ideal imitation results if the UH is applied blindly without considering specific conditions in the north China region. This also explains the unsatisfactory imitation results caused by using various hydrological models in the north China region. When the precipitation duration is short, and the watershed has not reached total watershed concentration, the characteristics of confluence change greatly, which reflects the actual situation in the north China region. Therefore necessary nonlinear corrections should be made when UH is applied. If the duration is longer than the total confluence time and the balance between pondage and discharge is stricken, the imitation research results will be applicable to both rainfall-runoff relation with longer duration in the south China region and the basic theoreti- cal research on runoff generation and concentration. On conditions of adequate rainfall, peak discharge is in linear relationship with intensity, but has nothing to do with the ground pad. There is a negative linear relationship between intensity and time to peak . 3Estimating the minimum in-stream flow requirements via wetted perimeter method based on curvature and slope techniques显示文摘Under the assumptions of triangular cross section channel and uniform stable flow, an analytical solution of the minimum ecological in-stream flow requirement (MEIFR) is deduced. Based on the analytical solution, the uncertainty of the wetted perimeter method is analyzed by comparing the two techniques for the determination of the critical point on the relationship curve between wetted perimeter, P and discharge, Q. It is clearly shown that the results of MEIFR based on curvature technique (corresponding to the maximum curvature) and slope technique (slope being 1) are significantly different. On the P-Q curve, the slope of the critical point with the maximum curvature is 0.39 and the MEIFR varied prominently with the change of the slope threshold. This indicates that if a certain value of the slope threshold is not available for slope technique, curvature technique may be a better choice. By applying the analytical solution of MEIFR in the losing rivers of the Western Route South-to-North Water Transfer Project in China, the MEIFR value via curvature technique is 2.5%-23.7% of the multi-year average annual discharge, while that for slope technique is 11%-105.7%. 4CNN-BiLSTM-Attention Model in Forecasting Wave Height over South-East China Seas显示文摘Though numerical wave models have been applied widely to significant wave height prediction,they consume massive computing memory and their accuracy needs to be further improved.In this paper,a two-dimensional(2D)significant wave height(SWH)prediction model is established for the South and East China Seas.The proposed model is trained by Wave Watch III(WW3)reanalysis data based on a convolutional neural network,the bidirectional long short-term memory and the attention mechanism(CNNBiLSTM-Attention).It adopts the convolutional neural network to extract spatial features of original wave height to reduce the redundant information input into the BiLSTM network.Meanwhile,the BiLSTM model is applied to fully extract the features of the associated information of time series data.Besides,the attention mechanism is used to assign probability weight to the output information of the BiLSTM layer units,and finally,a training model is constructed.Up to 24-h prediction experiments are conducted under normal and extreme conditions,respectively.Under the normal wave condition,for 3-,6-,12-and 24-h forecasting,the mean values of the correlation coefficients on the test set are 0.996,0.991,0.980,and 0.945,respectively.The corresponding mean values of the root mean square errors are measured at 0.063 m,0.105 m,0.172 m,and 0.281 m,respectively.Under the typhoon-forced extreme condition,the model based on CNN-BiLSTM-Attention is trained by typhooninduced SWH extracted from the WW3 reanalysis data.For 3-,6-,12-and 24-h forecasting,the mean values of correlation coefficients on the test set are respectively 0.993,0.983,0.958,and 0.921,and the averaged root mean square errors are 0.159 m,0.257 m,0.437 m,and 0.555 m,respectively.The model performs better than that trained by all the WW3 reanalysis data.The result suggests that the proposed algorithm can be applied to the 2D wave forecast with higher accuracy and efficiency.Lina Wang Xilin Deng Peng Ge Changming Dong Brandon J.Bethel Leqing Yang Jinyue Xia 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,10:2

7The polarization-dependent supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal fibers with high birefringence and two-zero dispersion显示文摘A polarization-dependent supercontinuum spectrum source of light from the UV to infrared region has been generated in our photonic crystal fiber with birefringence B=2.23×10 3.By tuning the polarization direction of the input pulse,it is found that the width of the supercontinuum spectrum changes dramatically with the input polarization directions.At the same time,we qualitatively explain the blue-shift peak and the red-shift peak in the experimental spectrum using phase matching conditions on dispersive waves,stoke waves and the pump wave.In addition,we also found that supercontinuum spectrum generation,to some extent,is dependent on the pump wavelength and average power of the pump.The spectrum is broadened with the increase of average power,but unchanged after average power reaches a certain value;when the pump wavelength is located in the anomalous dispersion and further away from the zero-dispersion wavelength,the spectrum of the supercontinuum is wider.WANG XiaoYan LI ShuGuang HAN Ying DU Ying XIA ChangMing HOU LanTian 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,2:1

13Submesoscale eddies in the East China Sea detected from SAR images显示文摘Seven-year(2005-2011)Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)images are applied to study oceanic eddies in the East China Sea.It is found that most of these eddies detected from the SAR images are less than 10 km,which are submesoscale eddies.Seasonal differences are evident in the distribution of eddies,with the highest and the lowest number of eddies noted in summer and winter,respectively.Since slick streaks in SAR images look dark,an eddy identified due to the slicks is referred to as“black eddy”.As a result of wave-current interactions in the zones of current shear,it can be seen that an eddy exhibits a bright curve,the eddy is called“white eddy”.During the seven years,95 black eddies and 50 white eddies are identified in the study area.Black eddies are found in the whole study area while white eddies are mainly distributed in the vicinity of the Kuroshio Current.This study suggests that the distribution of the white eddy is denser around the Kuroshio because of the strong shear in the Kuroshio region.In terms of the eddy sizes,white eddies are generally smaller than black eddies.Yuxiang Ji Guangjun Xu Changming Dong Jingsong Yang Changshui Xia 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,3:0
14An approach to determine coeffi cients of logarithmic velocity vertical profile in the bottom boundary layer显示文摘Velocity vertical profiles in the bottom boundary layer are important to understand the oceanic circulation.The logarithmic vertical profile,u=A ln z+B,is the universal profile for the horizontal velocity in the boundary layer,in which two coefficients(A and B)need to be determined.The two coefficients are the functions of the friction velocity(u_(*))and the roughness length(z_(0)),and they are calculated using u_(*)and z_(0).However,the measurement of u_(*)and z_(0) is a challenge.In the present study,an approach is developed to estimate the two coefficients(A and B)by using a series of fl ume laboratory experiments with fl at boundary and regularly distributed cylinders as the rough boundaries.An acoustic doppler velocimeter(ADV)is used to measure the velocity vertical profiles of the steady flow.Using the measured velocity data,the regressed logarithmic profiles are obtained.Based on the series of the A and B values,the mathematical formula for A and B are statistically established as the function of the cylinder height,inflow velocity,and the water depth,which avoids the measurement of the friction velocity and the roughness length.Xiaowei WEI Yiming ZHANG Changming DONG Meibing JIN Changshui XIA 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,6:0
