| 1 | Recruited CD68^(+)CD206^(+)macrophages orchestrate graft immune tolerance to prompt xenogeneic-dentin matrix-based tooth root regeneration显示文摘Successful regenerative medicine strategies of xenogeneic extracellular matrix need a synergistic balance among inflammation, fibrosis, and remodeling process.Adaptive macrophage subsets have been identified to modulate inflammation and orchestrate the repair of neighboring parenchymal tissues. This study fabricated PPARγ-primed CD68+CD206+M2 phenotype(M2γ),and firstly verified their anti-inflammatory and tissue-regenerating roles in xenogeneic bioengineered organ regeneration. Our results showed that Th1-type CD3^(+)CD8^(+)T cell response to xenogeneic-dentin matrix-based bioengineered root complex(xeno-complex)was significantly inhibited by M2γmacrophage in vitro.PPARγactivation also timely recruited CD68^(+)CD206^(+)tissue macrophage polarization to xeno-complex in vivo. These subsets alleviated proinflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IFN-γ)at the inflammation site and decreased CD3^(+)CD8^(+)T lymphocytes in the periphery system. When translated to an orthotopic nonhuman primate model,PPARγ-primed M2 macrophages immunosuppressed IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α,MMPs to enable xeno-complex to effectively escape immune-mediated rejection and initiate graft-host synergistic integrity. These collective activities promoted the differentiation of odontoblast-like and periodontal-like cells to guide pulp-dentin and cementum-PDLs-bone regeneration and rescued partially injured odontogenesis such as DSPP and periostin expression. Finally, the regenerated root showed structure-biomechanical and functional equivalency to the native tooth. The timely conversion of M1-to-M2 macrophage mainly orchestrated odontogenesis, fibrogenesis, and osteogenesis, which represents a potential modulator for intact parenchymal-stromal tissue regeneration of targeted organs. | Hui Li Jingjing Sun Hefeng Yang Xue Han Xiangyou Luo LiJun Liao Bo Yang Tian Zhu Fangjun Huo Weihua Guo Weidong Tian | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,4: | 2 |
| 2 | Effects of circular beam oscillation technique on formability and solidification behaviour of selective laser melted Inconel 718:From single tracks to cuboid samples显示文摘The inherent drawbacks of selective laser melting technique including serious micro-pore and element microsegregation problems destroy the mechanical property of the component. To overcome this problem,a new approach, circular beam oscillation, was successfully applied in the SLMed Inconel 718 samples including single tracks, thin walls and cuboid samples. On one hand, circular beam oscillation reduces the micro-pores in molten pools and cuboid samples, increasing the relative density of the cuboid sample to 99.95%.On the other hand, circular beam oscillation suppresses the element microsegregation, reducing the formation of Laves phases in SLMed Inconel 718 samples. Moreover, circular beam oscillation enhances the<001>texture of thin walls and the<101>texture of cuboid samples. The improvement of formability and microstructure of the SLMed samples with oscillation is closely related to cooling rate, thermal gradient and stirring effect during the solidification process. Therefore, circular beam oscillation shows the possibility to overcome the key bottlenecks of the traditional SLM technology and to realize a further industrial application of SLM technology. | Huihui Yang Guanyi Jing Piao Gao Zemin Wang Xiangyou Li | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,16: | 2 |
| 3 | Growth Pattern and Its Indication of Spheroidal Nano-Micro Crystal Aggregates of Pyrite in the Baiyunpu Pb-Zn Polymetallic Deposit, Central Hunan显示文摘The Baiyunpu deposit lies in the southwest plunging Dachengshan anticline in central Hunan, which is a large Pb-Zn polymetallic deposit. The orebodies were surrounded by the Qiziqiao Formation limestone in the Middle Devonian, and its geological occurrence is consistent with the wall rocks. A large number of spheroidal pyrite aggregates are found unevenly distributed in the ores. The spheroidal aggregates are made up of kernels and concentric rings. The kernels are composed of approximately epigranular pyrite nanocrystals, while the rings are composed of accumulated pyrite microcrystals growing along the radial direction. The spheroidal pyrite aggregate and its outer zones can be divided into five areas(A–E). The results of electron probe micro analysis(EPMA) show that from the zone A1 to B, Co/Ni <1, the sum of Co and Ni is 0.08%–0.26%, S/Fe increases from 2.06 to 2.15. While from the zone C to E, Ni cannot be detected and S/Fe decreases from 2.22 to 2.08. Powder X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis in the micro zone shows obvious crystalline characteristics in the aggregates. Moving from the inside outwards, the maximum diffraction peak intensity of the(111) and(220) crystal planes of pyrite increases, and the crystallinity improves. The degree of change in the(111) plane is the most prominent. Considering the theory of crystal growth along with the geologic features of the depositional environment where the spheroidal pyrite aggregates developed, we confirm that the spheroidal aggregates are the result of nano-micro crystalline gathering and growth occurring by the following sequence of processes:nano-crystalline nucleation and growth, gathering into a ball, oriented growth of microcrystals, continuous accumulation, and adjustment of grain boundaries. The formation of the spheroidal pyrite aggregates in the late Qiziqiao Formation of the Middle Devonian occurred in a neutral to weak alkaline and reductive sedimentary environment in the normal oxygen-rich shallowwater carbonate platform edge. The variations in the S/Fe ratio and crystallisation characteristics indicate that during pyrite crystal growth, the sulphur fugacity was high locally and rose constantly, the degree of supersaturation decreased locally and the growth environment was stable relatively. | GAO Shang HUANG Fei GU Xiangping LI Xiangyou MENG Lin LIU Rui SUN Li GAO Wenyuan YU Huantao | 2014 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2014,88,6: | 2 |

| 15 | Effect of rotation angle on surface morphology, microstructure, and mechanical properties of Inconel 718 alloy fabricated by high power laser powder bed fusion显示文摘Rotation angle of the laser scan direction between two adjacent layers is a key controlling parameter during the high-power (≥ 1 kW) laser powder bed fusion (HP-LPBF) process. This study investigates the influences of rotation angles (θ = 0°, 45°, 90°, 105°) on the surface morphology, microstructure, and mechanical properties of Inconel 718 (IN718) alloy produced by HP-LPBF. Results show that adopting low rotation angles (e.g., 0° and 45°) is prone to relatively poor surface finish and lack-of-fusion defects, whereas adopting high rotation angles (e.g., 90° and 105°) induces smaller surface roughness and better relative density. Each case reveals a noticeable edge effect but the maximal heights witness a downward trend with the increase of rotation angle. There are some minor differences in the primary dendrite arm spacing and grain morphology by varying the rotation angles. Moreover, the tensile property is slightly enhanced as the rotation angle increases. The present work suggests that high rotation angles like 90° and 105° would probably be more favorable for the 1 kW HP-LPBF process than rotation angles with relatively low values. | Qiao Zhong Kaiwen Wei Taoyuan Ouyang Xiangyou Li Xiaoyan Zeng | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,23: | 0 |
