12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2Geochemical Characteristics of Selenium and Its Correlation to Other Elements and Minerals in Selenium-Enriched Rocks in Ziyang County,Shaanxi Province,China显示文摘Ziyang County, Shaanxi Province, China is a world known selenium(Se)-enriched area, and a severe selenosis incident was reported in Naore Village during the 1990 s. This study investigated the geochemical characteristics of Se and its fractions in Se-enriched rocks from Ziyang. Se distribution is uneven, ranging from 0.23 to 57.00 μg/g(17.29±15.52 μg/g). Se content is higher in slate than chert, and even lower in carbonate rocks. Cd, As and V are enriched but Pb is depleted in Se-enriched strata. Se has different correlations both with TS(total sulfur)(R^2=0.59 for chert) and TC(total carbon)(R^2=0.77 for slate, R^2=0.87 for carbonate). Se has significant positive correlations with V(r=0.65), As(r=0.485), Cd(r=0.459) and Pb(r=0.405). The Se level correlates with mineral content, positively with pyrite, chlorite and illite, negatively with albite. Se associated with sulfide/selenide and elemental Se are the predominant fractions of total recovered Se, suggesting that a reducing environment and the formation of sulfides were significant to Se deposition during its geochemical cycle. 3Distribution pattern of Caragana species under the influence of climate gradient in the Inner Mongolia region, China显示文摘There is a strong climate gradient in the Inner Mongolia region, China, with solar radiation and air temperature increasing but precipitation decreasing gradually from the northeast to the southwest. Sixteen Cara- gana species exist in the Inner Mongolia region. These Caragana species exhibit a distribution pattern across moisture zones and form a geographical replacement series. In order to examine the mechanisms responsible for Caragana species distribution pattern, we selected 12 Caragana species that exhibit a distinct distribution pattern across multiple moisture zones in the Inner Mongolia region, and determined the relationships between the leaf ecological and physiological traits of these Caragana species and the aridity index and solar radiation. Along with the climatic drought gradient and the solar radiation intensification from the northeast to the southwest, leaf eco- logical characteristics of Caragana species changed drastically, i.e. the leaf shape gradually turned from flat into tegular or tubbish; the leaf hair became denser, longer and lighter in color; the leaf area, leaf biomass and specific leaf area(SLA) decreased significantly; the leaf thickness and the ratio of leaf thickness to leaf area increased sig- nificantly; and the leaf chlorophyll content decreased significantly. As the climatic drought stress increased, osmotic potentials of the main osmotic adjustment substances and the cytoplasmic ion concentration of Caragana species increased significantly. Meanwhile, the total and free water contents and water potential of leaves decreased sig- nificantly; the ratio of bound to free water increased significantly; the stomatal conductance and transpiration rate reduced significantly; and the water use efficiency(WUE) increased significantly. In addition, with the intensification of climatic drought stress, peroxidase(POD) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activities in leaves increased sig- nificantly. As a result, the malondialdehyde(MDA) content increased while the oxygen free radical content decreased. Our results showed that most of the leaf ecological and physiological traits of the 12 Caragana species varied in ac- cordance with the climatic drought gradient in the Inner Mongolia region, which reflected the adaptation of the Cara- gana species to the local climate conditions. With relatively more active metabolism and faster growth, the Caragana species in the northeast had strong competitive abilities; on the other hand, with stronger resistance to climatic drought stress, the Caragana species in the southwest could survive in harsh environments. 5Effects of grazing intensity on seed production of Caragana stenophylla along a climatic aridity gradient in the Inner Mongolia Steppe,China显示文摘As the increases of climatic aridity and grazing intensity,shrubs play an increasingly important role in grassland ecosystem in arid and semi-arid regions,and its abundance also generally increases.However,the effects of climatic aridity and grazing intensity on sexual reproduction of shrubs in grassland remain largely unclear.In order to understand the effects of grazing intensity and climatic drought stress,and their interaction on seed production of shrub species,we examined the seed number,seed weight and seed yield of Caragana stenophylla under three grazing intensities(fenced,mild grazing and severe grazing) across a climatic aridity gradient(semi-arid,arid,very arid and intensively arid zones) in the Inner Mongolia Steppe,northern China during 2012–2013.The seed number,seed weight and seed yield gradually increased from the semi-arid to the very arid zones,but decreased from the very arid to the intensively arid zones in fenced plots.The seed number and seed yield decreased from the semi-arid to the intensively arid zones in mild and severe grazing treatment plots,therefore,grazing enhanced the suppression effect of climatic aridity on seed production of C.stenophylla.The seed number and seed yield gradually decreased as grazing intensity increased.The seed weight was highest in severe grazing plots,followed by the mild grazing plots and then the fenced plots.Precipitation varied interannually during the study period.We observed that the seed number,seed weight and seed yield were lower in the low precipitation year(2013) than in the high precipitation year(2012).As climatic drought stress increased,the negative effects of grazing on seed production of C.stenophylla also gradually increased.Our results indicated that climatic drought stress may contribute to the encroachment of C.stenophylla shrub in arid zones by promoting its seed production.However,grazing had negative effects on sexual reproduction of C.stenophylla,and the combined effects of drought stress and grazing seriously suppressed sexual reproduction of C.stenophylla in the intensively arid zone.XIE Lina CHEN Weizhong Christopher A GABLER HAN Lei GUO Hongyu CHEN Qing MA Chengcang GU Song 2016Journal of Arid Land2016,8,6:5

7Generation and imaging of a tunable ultrafast intensity-rotating optical field with a cycle down to femtosecond region显示文摘A tunable ultrafast intensity-rotating optical field is generated by overlapping a pair of 20Hz,800 nm chirped pulses with a Michelson interferometer(MI).Its rotating rate can be up to 10 trillion radians per second(Trad/s),which can be flexibly tuned with a mirror in the MI.Besides,its fold rotational symmetry structure is also changeable by controlling the difference from the topological charges of the pulse pair.Experimentally,we have successfully developed a twopetal lattice with a tunable rotating speed from 3.9 Trad/s up to 11.9 Trad/s,which is confirmed by our single-shot ultrafast frame imager based on noncollinear optical-parametric amplification with its highest frame rate of 15 trillion frames per second(Tfps).This work is carried out at a low repetition rate.Therefore,it can be applied at relativistic,even ultrarelativistic,intensities,which usually operate in low repetition rate ultrashort and ultraintense laser systems.We believe that it may have application in laser-plasma-based accelerators,strong terahertz radiations and celestial phenomena.Xuanke Zeng Shuiqin Zheng Yi Cai Hongyu Wang Xiaowei Lu Honggeng Wang Jingzhen Li Weixin Xie Shixiang Xu 2020High Power Laser Science and Engineering2020,8,1:2
8Interfacial reaction between zirconium alloy and graphite mold/yttrium oxide ceramic mold显示文摘Zirconium alloys are active in the molten state and tend to react with the mold during casting. The casting technology of zirconium is not yet well established; especially in selecting the mold materials, which are diffi cult to determine. In the present work, the interfacial reactions between zirconium casting and casting mold were studied. The zirconium alloy was melted in a vacuum arc skull furnace and then cast into the graphite mold and ceramic mold, respectively. The zirconium casting samples were characterized using SEM, EDS and XRD with an emphasis on the chemical diffusion of elements. A reaction layer was observed at the casting surface. Chemical analysis shows that chemical elements C, O and Y from the mold are diffused into the molten zirconium, and new phases, such as ZrC, Zr3O, YO1.335 and Y6ZrO11, are formed at the surface. 9Delivery of pOXR1 through an injectable liposomal nanoparticle enhances spinal cord injury regeneration by alleviating oxidative stress显示文摘Oxidation resistance 1(OXR1)is regarded as a critical regulator of cellular homeostasis in response to oxidative stress.However,the role of OXR1 in the neuronal response to spinal cord injury(SCI)remains undefined.On the other hand,gene therapy for SCI has shown limited success to date due in part to the poor utility of conventional gene vectors.In this study,we evaluated the function of OXR1 in SCI and developed an available carrier for delivering the OXR1 plasmid(pOXR1).We found that OXR1 expression is remarkably increased after SCI and that this regulation is protective after SCI.Meanwhile,we assembled cationic nanoparticles with vitamin E succinate-graftedε-polylysine(VES-g-PLL)(Nps).The pOXR1 was precompressed with Nps and then encapsulated into cationic liposomes.The particle size of pOXR1 was compressed to 58 nm,which suggests that pOXR1 can be encapsulated inside liposomes with high encapsulation efficiency and stability to enhance the transfection efficiency.The agarose gel results indicated that Nps-pOXR1-Lip eliminated the degradation of DNA by DNase I and maintained its activity,and the cytotoxicity results indicated that pOXR1 was successfully transported into cells and exhibited lower cytotoxicity.Finally,Nps-pOXR1-Lip promoted functional recovery by alleviating neuronal apoptosis,attenuating oxidative stress and inhibiting inflammation.Therefore,our study provides considerable evidence that OXR1 is a beneficial factor in resistance to SCI and that Nps-Lip-pOXR1 exerts therapeutic effects in acute traumatic SCI.Jing Zhang Yao Li Jun Xiong Helin Xu Guanghen Xiang Mingqiao Fan Kailiang Zhou Yutian Lin Xiangxiang Chen Lin Xie Hongyu Zhang Jian Wang Jian Xiao 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:2

19Spiro-conjugated indenodiarylethenes: enabling steric-induced electronic tuning of photochromic and photoluminescent properties by spiro-conjugation显示文摘Light-operated excited-state photochemical reactions and the resulting photochromic materials have gained significant attention for their promising technological applications in molecular electronic and photonic devices.To obtain photochromic materials(e.g.,diarylethenes)with desired properties,the way to tune energy processes of the excited state is essentially important,from both fundamental and practical viewpoints.The modified diarylethenes mostly focused on structural improvements to achieve efficient photochromism.We report here two new spiro-conjugated indenodiarylethenes(named,SFI-Th and SFI-Sul)with an orthogonally arranged spiroπ-scaffold.The spiro fluorene sterically constrains the free volume of photoactive side aromatic rings,while the spiro-conjugation points toward modulation of the decaying channels of excited-state energy,thus allowing for tuning photochromic performances.These spirodiarylethenes SFI-Th and SFI-Sul are readily accessible with low cost and show distinct photochromic and photoluminescent properties.On one hand,the SFI-Th bearing bisthienyl side rings,is an excellent photochromic switch showing high thermal stability and high fatigue resistance in both solution and amorphous state,likely benefited from steric-induced excited-state energy transfer into reversible photochemical reactions,owing to higherπ-orbital spiro-conjugation between the two molecular halves.On the other hand,the SFI-Sul with bissulfonyl side rings,most notably,displays quantitative photocyclization to yield SFI-Sulc upon excitation.However,the ring-closed SFI-Sulc has an extremely slow photocycloreversion,and meanwhile immediately switches on emissive state with a strong fluorescence(Φf=0.57 in amorphous powder state).We study the modulated roles of spiroπ-scaffold in both cases computationally and experimentally,and attribute the facilitated photochemical reaction to the positively electronic effects of spiro-conjugation,and the photo-responsive radiative transition to the negatively electronic effects of spiro-conjugation,respectively.In all,this work demonstrates that the spiro-conjugation is a new and efficient strategy to deliver excitation energy transfer(EET)for featured photochromic properties,due to its advantage in steric-induced electronic modulation.Tingting Huang Hongyu Liu Yawen Bang Yanpei Wang Yuan Liang Xinhao Wang Yang Zhang Sheng Xie Zebing Zeng Ben Zhong Tang 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,11:1
20Diagenesis of shale and its control on pore structure, a case study from typical marine, transitional and continental shales显示文摘Due to discrepancies in pore structure,the productivity of shale gas reservoirs under different diagenesis stages varies greatly.This study discussed the controlling of sedimentation and diagenesis on shale pore structure in typical marine,transitional,and continental shales,respectively.Continental shale samples from the Shuinan Formation,Jiaolai Basin,transitional shale samples from the Taiyuan,Shanxi and Xiashihezi Formations,Ordos Basin,and marine shale samples from the Longmaxi Formation,Sichuan Basin,were collected.Scanning electron microscope with argon ion polishing,high-pressure mercury injection,and low-temperature nitrogen adsorption experiments were conducted to acquire pore structure parameters.And the diagenetic stage of the reservoir was classified according to thermal maturity,organic geochemical parameters,and mineral composition.Our results exhibit that continental,transitional,and marine shales are period A,period B of the middle diagenetic stage,and the late diagenetic stage,respectively.For pore structure,micropore(0–2 nm)and mesopore(2–50 nm)controlled pore volume and specific surface area of transitional and marine shales,and specific surface area of continental shale have similar results,while micropore,mesopore,and macropore(>50 nm)all have a significant proportion of pore volume in continental shale.The pore structure characteristics and controlling factors exhibit a pronounced difference in different diagenesis stages,the compaction and cementation in period A of the middle diagenesis stage is relatively weak,intergranular pore and interlayer pore of clay minerals are well preserved,and moldic pore and dissolved pore developed as well;organic matter is in high maturity in period B of the middle diagenesis stage,organic matter pore developed correspondingly,while the intergranular pore developed poorly affected by compaction,notably,the carbonate is negligible in transitional shale,and the interlayer pore of clay minerals are well preserved with weak cementation;while dissolution and metasomatism controlled the pore structure in the late diagenesis stage in marine shale,the primary pores were poorly preserved,and the organic matter pore and carbonate dissolved pore developed.Results from this work are of a specific reference for shale gas development under different diagenesis stages.Weidong XIE Meng WANG Hua WANG Ruying MA Hongyue DUAN 2021Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,2:1
