| 1 | Lushan M_S7.0 earthquake:A blind reserve-fault event显示文摘In the epicenter of the Lushan MS7.0 earthquake there are several imbricate active reverse faults lying from northwest to southeast,namely the Gengda-Longdong,Yanjing-Wulong,Shuangshi-Dachuan and Dayi faults.Emergency field investigations have indicated that no apparent earthquake surface rupture zones were located along these active faults or their adjacent areas.Only brittle compressive ruptures in the cement-covered pavements can be seen in Shuangshi,Taiping,Longxing and Longmen Townships,and these ruptures show that a local crustal shortening occurred in the region during the earthquake.Combining spatial distribution of the relocated aftershocks and focal mechanism solutions,it is inferred that the Lushan earthquake is classified as a typical blind reverse-fault earthquake,and it is advised that the relevant departments should pay great attention to other historically un-ruptured segments along the Longmenshan thrust belt and throughout its adjacent areas. | XU XiWei WEN XueZe HAN ZhuJun CHEN GuiHua LI ChuanYou ZHENG WenJun ZHNAG ShiMin REN ZhiQun XU Chong TAN XiBin WEI ZhanYu WANG MingMing REN JunJie HE ZhongTai LIANG MingJian | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28: | 35 |
| 2 | Energy-efficient power allocation for non-regenerative OFDM relay links显示文摘We consider a two-hop non-regenerative (amplify-and-forward) relay link with one source, one destination and one relay, in which orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is used. The power allocation (PA) to maximize the energy efficiency for the whole link is investigated under quality of service (Qos) require- ment and separate power constraints. An approximation method with low complexity is first proposed to convert the PA problem into a quasi-concave problem, which can obtain a tight lower bound in high SNR region. Furthermore, a more accurate approximation method with higher complexity is raised, which can approach the actual performance both in the low SNR and high SNR regions. We also introduce subcarrier pairing scheme to further enhance the energy efficiency for the link. | 3 | Synthesis and Luminescence of SrZnO_2∶Eu^(3+), Li^+ Phosphor by Long Wavelength UV Excitation显示文摘SrZnO2∶Eu 3+, Li+ phosphor powder by long wavelength UV excitation was synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction method. XRD and PL were employed to characterize their properties. The results show that Eu 3+ ions preferentially occupy Sr 2+ asymmetry cationic sites, thus emitting 612 nm red light originated from 5D0 to 7F2 transition. The luminescent intensity can be greatly enhanced with incorporation of Li+ ions. The excitation efficiency in range of 350~400 nm also increases greatly due to incorporating Li+ ions. | 4 | Three-dimensional conformal intensity-modulated radiation therapy of left femur foci does not damage the sciatic nerve显示文摘During radiotherapy to kill femoral hydatid tapeworms,the sciatic nerve surrounding the focus can be easily damaged by the treatment.Thus,it is very important to evaluate the effects of radiotherapy on the surrounding nervous tissue.In the present study,we used three-dimensional,conformal,intensity-modulated radiation therapy to treat bilateral femoral hydatid disease in Meriones meridiani.The focus of the hydatid disease on the left femur was subjected to radiotherapy(40 Gy) for 14 days,and the right femur received sham irradiation.Hematoxylin-eosin staining,electron microscopy,and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-d UTP nick end labeling assays on the left femurs showed that the left sciatic nerve cell structure was normal,with no obvious apoptosis after radiation.Trypan blue staining demonstrated that the overall protoscolex structure in bone parasitized with Echinococcus granulosus disappeared in the left femur of the animals after treatment.The mortality of the protoscolex was higher in the left side than in the right side.The succinate dehydrogenase activity in the protoscolex in bone parasitized with Echinococcus granulosus was lower in the left femur than in the right femur.These results suggest that three-dimensional conformal intensity-modulated radiation therapy achieves good therapeutic effects on the secondary bone in hydatid disease in Meriones meridiani without damaging the morphology or function of the sciatic nerve. | Wanlong Xu Xibin Zhao Qing Wang Jungang Sun Jiangbo Xu Wenzheng Zhou Hao Wang Shigui Yan Hong Yuan | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,20: | 6 |

| 6 | Root distribution of three dominant desert shrubs and their water uptake dynamics显示文摘Aims Root architecture is a crucial determinant in the water use of desert shrubs.However,lack of integrated research on the root functional type and water uptake dynamic hinders our current understanding of the water-use strategies of desert species.Methods A field experiment was conducted to investigate the root functional type of three dominant desert species,Haloxylon ammodendron,Nitraria tangutorum and Calligonum mongolicum,and the dynam-ics of their root water uptake.the stem sap flow and microclimate were monitored,and the intact root systems of these shrubs were excavated in their native habitats on the oasis-desert ecotone of northwestern china during the summer of 2014.Important Findings Based on root functional type,H.ammodendron is phreatophytic,while N.tangutorum and C.mongolicum are non-phreatophytic species,which means H.ammodendron can utilize multiple potential water sources,N.tangutorum and C.mongolicum mainly utilize shallow and middle soil water.the average root water uptake rates(RWU)of H.ammodendron,N.tangutorum and C.mongolicum were 0.56(±0.12),1.18(±0.19)and 1.31(±0.30)kg m^(−2)h^(−1),respectively,during the experimental period;the contributions of night-time RWU to total water uptake amount for the corresponding species were 12.7,2.9 and 10.6%,respec-tively.the diurnal and seasonal dynamics of RWU in the three species were significantly different(P<0.05),and closely related to environmental variables,especially to photosynthetically active radiation and vapor pressure deficit.Our results suggested that the three species have distinct water-use patterns in combination with the patterns of root distribution,which may alleviate water competition during long-term water shortages.H.ammodendron appears to be more drought tolerant than the other species due to its use of multiple water sources and stable water uptake rates during growing season. | Shiqin Xu Xibin Ji Bowen Jin Jinglin Zhang | 2017 | Journal of Plant Ecology2017,10,5: | 2 |

| 11 | Low-Complexity Soft-Output Detection for Massive MIMO Using SCBiCG and Lanczos Methods显示文摘Massive MIMO is a promising technology to improve spectral efficiency, cell coverage, and system capacity for 5G. However, these benefits take place at great cost of computational complexity, especially in systems with hundreds of antennas at the base station. This paper aims to address the minimum mean square error(MMSE) detection in uplink massive MIMO systems utilizing the symmetric complex bi-conjugate gradients(SCBiCG) and the Lanczos method. Both the proposed methods can avoid the large scale matrix inversion which is necessary for MMSE, thus, reducing the computational complexity by an order of magnitude with respect to the number of user equipment. To enable the proposed methods for soft-output detection, we also derive an approximating calculation scheme for the log-likelihood ratios(LLRs), which further reduces the complexity. We compare the proposed methods with existing exact and approximate detection methods. | 13 | Resequencing of sweetpotato germplasm resources reveals key loci associated with multiple agronomic traits显示文摘Sweetpotato is an important crop that exhibits hexaploidy and high heterozygosity,which limits gene mining for important agronomic traits.Here,314 sweetpotato germplasm resources were deeply resequenced,and 4599509 SNPs and 846654 InDels were generated,among which 196124 SNPs were nonsynonymous and 9690 InDels were frameshifted.Based on the Indels,genome-wide marker primers were designed,and 3219 of 40366 primer pairs were selected to construct the core InDel marker set.The molecular ID of 104 sweetpotato samples verified the availability of these primers.The sweetpotato population structures were then assessed through multiple approaches using SNPs,and diverse approaches demonstrated that population stratification was not obvious for most Chinese germplasm resources.As many as 20 important agronomic traits were evaluated,and a genome-wide association study was conducted on these traits.A total of 19 high-confidence loci were detected in both models.These loci included several candidate genes,such as IbMYB1,IbZEP1,and IbYABBY1,which might be involved in anthocyanin metabolism,carotenoid metabolism,and leaf morphogenesis,respectively.Among them,IbZEP1 and IbYABBY1 were first reported in sweetpotato.The variants in the promoter and the expression levels of IbZEP1 were significantly correlated with f lesh color(orange or not orange)in sweetpotato.The expression levels of IbYABBY1 were also correlated with leaf shape.These results will assist in genetic and breeding studies in sweetpotato. | Shizhuo Xiao Xibin Dai Lingxiao Zhao Zhilin Zhou Lukuan Zhao Pan Xu Bingqian Gao An Zhang Donglan Zhao Rui Yuan Yao Wang Jie Wang Qinglian Li Qinghe Cao | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,1: | 1 |

| 19 | Sectorization based pilot reuse for improving net spectral efficiency in the multicell massive MIMO system显示文摘A sectorization method using the uniform circular array(UCA) is proposed to improve the net spectral efficiency(SE) of the multicell massive MIMO system, which is an important index for evaluating the performance of a communication system. We derive the ergodic achievable uplink net SE per cell of a general sectorized system and obtain its deterministic approximation based on the large random matrix theory.Different weight matrices are considered for the sectorized system and the one with the best performance is utilized for further analysis. The consistency of the deterministic approximation with the result of Monte-Carlo simulation is proved at the same time. At last, numerical results indicate that the net SE per cell can be greatly improved compared to the conventional multicell massive MIMO system, which validates the effectiveness of the sectorization method.
