| 2 | Diffusion bonding of AlCoCrFeNi2.1 eutectic high entropy alloy to TiAl alloy显示文摘High entropy alloys have special microstructure and remarkable properties.To explore their potential engineering application in high temperature structures,the microstructure evolution of bonding interface,the elemental diffusion behavior and mechanical property of the diffusion bonded joint between AlCoCrFeNi2.1eutectic high entropy alloy(EHEA)and TiAl alloy were investigated.Four reaction layers(rodlike B2 phase,Al(Co,Ni)2Ti,τ3-Al3NiTi2+TiAl,τ3-Al3NiTi2+TiAl+Ti3Al)formed in the diffusion zone near FCC phase of EHEA,but three layers(Al(Co,Ni)2Ti,τ3-Al3Ni Ti2+Ti Al,τ3-Al3Ni Ti2+Ti Al+Ti3Al)formed near B2 phase.Al and Ni controlled the reaction diffusion of EHEA and TiAl alloy,coarsened the acicular precipitated B2 phase and turned Ti Al phase into Al(Co,Ni)2Ti andτ3-Al3NiTi2 phases.All these reaction layers grew in a parabolic manner as a function of bonding temperature.Rodlike B2 phase has the lowest growth activation energy of 125.2 kJ/mol,and the growth activation energy ofτ3-Al3Ni Ti2+TiAl layer near B2 phase is much lower than that near FCC phase.The penetration phenomenon and convex structure formed in the diffusion zone,which resulted in interlocking effect and enhanced the strength of resultant joints.The highest shear strength of 449 MPa was achieved at 950℃.And the brittle fracture generally initiated at the interface between Al(Co,Ni)2Ti andτ3-Al3NiTi2+TiAl layers. | Peng Li Shuai Wang Yueqing Xia Xiaohu Hao Honggang Dong | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,10: | 8 |

| 6 | Peroxidase-like properties of Ruthenium nanoframes显示文摘This work reports the inherent peroxidase-like properties of Ruthenium(Ru) nanoframes. After templating with Palladium(Pd) seeds, Ru nanoframes with an octahedral shape, average edge length of 6.2 nm, and thickness of 1.8 nm were synthesized in high purity([95 %) and good uniformity. Using the oxidation of 3,30,5,50-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB) by H2O2 as a model catalytic reaction, the Ru frames were demonstrated to be approximately three times more active than natural peroxidases in catalyzing the formation of colored products. As compared to their natural counterparts, Ru frames have a stronger binding affinity to TMB as well as a weaker binding affinity to hydrogen peroxide during the catalysis. The Ru frames as peroxidase mimics proved to be chemically and thermally stable. | 19 | How does working from home affect developer productivity?-A case study of Baidu during the COVID-19 pandemic显示文摘Nowadays,working from home(WFH)has become a popular work arrangement due to its many potential benefits for both companies and employees(e.g.,increasing job satisfaction and retention of employees).Many previous studies have investigated the impact of WFH on the productivity of employees.However,most of these studies usually use a qualitative analysis method such as surveys and interviews,and the studied participants do not work from home for a long continuing time.Due to the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),a large number of companies asked their employees to work from home,which provides us an opportunity to investigate whether WFH affects their productivity.In this study,to investigate the difference in developer productivity between WFH and working onsite,we conduct a quantitative analysis based on a dataset of developers’daily activities from Baidu Inc.,one of the largest IT companies in China.In total,we collected approximately four thousand records of 139 developers’activities of 138 working days.Out of these records,1103 records are submitted when developers work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.We find that WFH has both positive and negative impacts on developer productivity in terms of different metrics,e.g.,the number of builds/commits/code reviews.We also notice that WFH has different impacts on projects with different characteristics including programming language,project type/age/size.For example,WFH has a negative impact on developer productivity for large projects.Additionally,we find that productivity varies for different developers.Based on these findings,we get some feedback from developers of Baidu and understand some reasons why WFH has different impacts on developer productivity.We also conclude several implications for both companies and developers. | Lingfeng BAO Tao LI Xin XIA Kaiyu ZHU Hui LI Xiaohu YANG | 2022 | Science China(Information Sciences)2022,65,4: | 0 |
