| 1 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 2 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 3 | The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components.The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. | 5 | The addition of microbes for treating textile wastewater显示文摘Some strains and culture of bacteria which are able to decolorize dyes and degrade polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) were isolated and selected. A pilot scale facultative anaerobic-aerobic biological process was applied for treatment of textile wastewater containing dyes and PVA. Activated carbon adsorption was used as a tertiary treatment stage, and residual sludge from clarifier returned to the anaerobic reactor again. The pilot test were carried out with two systems. One was inoculated by acclimated sludge, and the another was adding the mixed culture of dye-decoloring and PVA-degrading bacteria for forming biological films, the latter was observed to be more effective than the former. The test has run normally for ten months with a COD loading of 2.13 kg/m3/day, a BOD5 loading of 0.34 kg/m3/day in anaerobic reactor; a COD loading of 1.71 kg/m3/day, a BOD5 loading 0.44 kg/m3/day in aerobic reactor. | 6 | Utility of Droplet Digital PCR Assay for Quantitative Detection of Norovirus in Shellfish, from Production to Consumption in Guangxi, China显示文摘Objective Shellfish are recognized as important vehicles of norovirus-associated gastroenteritis. The present study aimed to monitor norovirus contamination in oysters along the farm-to-fork continuum in Guangxi, a major oyster production area in Southwestern China. Methods Oyster samples were collected monthly from farms, markets, and restaurants, from January to December 2016. Norovirus was detected and quantified by one-step reverse transcription-droplet digital polymerase chain reaction(RT-ddPCR). Results A total of 480 oyster samples were collected and tested for norovirus genogroups I and II. Norovirus was detected in 20.7% of samples, with genogroup II predominating. No significant difference was observed in norovirus prevalence among different sampling sites. The norovirus levels varied widely, with a geometric mean of 19,300 copies/g in digestive glands. Both norovirus prevalence and viral loads showed obvious seasonality, with a strong winter bias. Conclusion This study provides a systematic analysis of norovirus contamination ‘from the farm to the fork' in Guangxi. RT-ddPCR can be a useful tool for detection and quantification of low amounts of norovirus in the presence of inhibitors found particularly in foodstuffs. | 8 | Deficient Rnf43 potentiates hyperactive Kras-mediated pancreatic preneoplasia initiation and malignant transformation显示文摘Background:Largely due to incidental detection,asymptomatic pancreatic cystic le-sions(PCLs)have become prevalent in recent years.Among them,intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm(IPMN)infrequently advances to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC).Conservative surveillance versus surgical intervention is a difficult clinical decision for both caregivers and PCL patients.Because RNF43 loss-of-function mutations and KRAS gain-of-function mutations concur in a subset of IPMN and PDAC,their biological significance and therapeutic potential should be elucidated.Methods:Pancreatic Rnf43 knockout and Kras activated mice(Rnf43^(−/−);Kras^(G12D))were generated to evaluate their clinical significance in pancreatic pre-neoplastic initiation and malignant transformation.Results:Loss of Rnf43 potentiated the occurrence and severity of IPMN and PDAC in oncogenic Kras mice.The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway was activated in pan-creatic Kras^(G12D)and Rnf43 knockout mice and the PORCN inhibitor LGK974 blocked pancreatic IPMN initiation and progression to PDAC accordingly.Conclusions:Rnf43 is a tumor suppressor in the prevention of pancreatic malignant transformation.This genetically reconstituted autochthonous pancreatic Rnf43^(−/−);Kras^(G12D)preclinical cancer model recapitulates the pathological process from pancreatic cyst to cancer in humans and can be treated with inhibitors of Wnt/β-catenin signaling.Since the presence of RNF43 and KRAS mutations in IPMNs predicts future development of advanced neoplasia from PCLs,patients with these genetic anomalies warrant surveillance,surgery,and/or targeted therapeutics such as Wnt/β-catenin inhibitors. | Xian Zhou Zhichao Sun Mengdi Zhang Xiaoyu Qu Shuhui Yang Lianmei Wang Yanling Jing Li Li Weiwei Deng Fangming Liu Jin Di Jie Chen Jian Wu Hongbing Zhang | 2022 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,1: | 3 |

| 16 | Error concealment in pixel based Wyner-Ziv video coding显示文摘In the Wyner-Ziv(WZ) video coding paradigm, a virtual correlation channel is assumed between the quantized source and the side information(SI) at the decoder, and channel coding is applied to achieve compression. In this paper, errors caused by the virtual correlation channel are addressed and an error concealment approach is proposed for pixel-based WZ video coding. In the approach, errors after decoding are classified into two types. Type 1 errors are caused by residual bit errors after channel decoding, while type 2 errors are due to low quality of SI in part of a frame which causes SI not lying within the quantization bin of a decoded quantized pixel value. Two separate strategies are respectively designed to detect and conceal the two types of errors.
