| 4 | Onshore-offshore wind energy resource evaluation based on synergetic use of multiple satellite data and meteorological stations in Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘The demand for efficient and cost-effective renewable energy is increasing as traditional sources of energy such as oil,coal,and natural gas,can no longer satisfy growing global energy demands.Among renewable energies,wind energy is the most prominent due to its low, manageable impacts on the local environment.Based on meteorological data from 2006 to 2014 and multi-source satellite data (i.e.,Advanced Scatterometer,Quick Scatterometer,and Windsat)from 1999 to 2015,an assessment of the onshore and offshore wind energy potential in Jiangsu Province was performed by calculating the average wind speed,average wind direction,wind power density, and annual energy production (AEP).Results show that Jiangsu has abundant wind energy resources,which increase from inland to coastal areas.In-onshore areas, wind power density is predominantly less than 200 W/m^2, while in offshore areas,wind power density is concentrates in the range of 328-500 W/m^2.Onshore areas comprise more than 13,573.24 km^2,mainly located in eastern coastal regions with good wind farm potential The total wind power capacity in onshore areas could be as much as 2.06×10^5 GWh.Meanwhile,offshore wind power generation in Jiangsu Province is calculated to reach 2×10^6 GWh, which is approximately four times the electricity demand of the entire Jiangsu Province.This study validates the effective application of Advanced Scatterometer,Quick Scatterometer,and Windsat data to coastal wind energy monitoring in Jiangsu.Moreover,the methodology used in this study can be effectively applied to other similar coastal zones. | Xianglin WEI Yuewei DUAN Yongxue LIU Song JIN Chao SUN | 2019 | Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,1: | 4 |
| 5 | Weakened interlayer coupling in two-dimensional MoSe2 flakes with screw dislocations显示文摘The screw dislocations are intriguing defects that are often observed in natural and artificial materials. The dislocation spirals break the reflection and inversion symmetries of the lattices and modify the interlayer coupling in layer-structured materials, inducing additional complexity in layer stacking and thus novel properties in materials. Here, we report on the interlayer coupling of two-dimensional (2D) MoSe2 flakes with screw dislocations by atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman spectra and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. By controlling the supersaturation conditions, 2D MoSe2 flakes with screw dislocations are grown on amorphous SiO2 substrates by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). AFM measurements reveal that the interlayer spacing in such 2D MoSe2 flakes with screw dislocation is slightly widened with respect to the normal AA- or AB-stacked ones due to the presence of the screw dislocations. Raman and PL spectra show that the interlayer coupling is weaker and thus the band gap is wider than that in the normal AA- or AB-stacked ones. | 10 | Sodium glutamate and gamma-aminobutyric acid affect iron metabolism in the rat caudate putamen显示文摘Glutamic acid and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) influence iron content in the substantia nigra and globus pallidus, although the mechanisms of action remain unclear. The present study measured iron content and changes in divalent metal transporter 1 (DMT1) and hephaestin expression in the substantia nigra and caudate putamen, and explored the effects of GABA and glutamic acid on iron metabolism. Results demonstrated that iron content and DMT1 non iron response element [DMT1(-IRE)] expression were significantly greater but hephaestin expression was significantly lower in the caudate putamen of the monosodium glutamate group compared with the control group. No significant difference in iron content was detected between the GABA and control groups. DMT1(-IRE) expression was significantly reduced, but hephaestin expression was significantly increased in the GABA group compared with the control group. In addition, there was no significant difference in tyrosine hydroxylase expression between monosodium glutamate and GABA groups and the control group. These results suggested that glutamate affected iron metabolism in the caudate putamen by increasing DMT1(-IRE) and decreasing hephaestin expression.
