| 1 | Tribological behaviors of Ni-modified citric acid carbon quantum dot particles as a green additive in polyethylene glycol显示文摘A novel green lubricating oil additive(carbon quantum dot(CQD)particle‐doped nickel(Ni‐CQD))was synthesized from citric acid and nickel acetate.The effects of CQD and Ni‐CQD nanoparticles on the tribological behaviors of polyethylene glycol(PEG200)were investigated under different loads and reciprocation speeds.The results indicate that CQD and Ni‐CQD particles can both enhance the lubrication properties of PEG200.However,the Ni‐CQD nanoparticles enhanced the lubrication properties more than the plain CQD particles did.The average friction coefficient and wear rate of PEG200 containing 2 wt%Ni‐CQDs were reduced by 35.5%and 36.4%,respectively,compared to PEG200 containing pure CQDs under a load of 8 N and reciprocation speed of 25 mm/s over 60 min.The friction and wear mechanisms are attributed to the fact that friction induces the Ni‐CQDs to participate in the formation of a tribofilm,resulting in a low friction coefficient and wear rate. | Zhiqiang TU Enzhu HU Bangbang WANG Karl D DAVID Philipp SEEGER Martin MONEKE Ralph STENGLER Kunhong HU Xianguo HU | 2020 | Friction2020,8,1: | 5 |
| 2 | Aboveground biomass and its spatial distribution pattern of herbaceous marsh vegetation in China显示文摘Herbaceous marsh is the most widely distributed type of marsh wetland ecosystem,and has important ecological functions such as water conservation,climate regulation,carbon storage and fixation,and sheltering rare species.The carbon sequestration function of herbaceous marsh plays a key role in slowing climate warming and maintaining regional environmental stability.Vegetation biomass is an important index reflecting the carbon sequestration capacity of wetlands.Investigating the biomass of marsh vegetation can provide a scientific basis for estimating the carbon storage and carbon sequestration capacity of marshes.Based on field survey data of aboveground biomass of herbaceous marsh vegetation and the distribution data set of marsh in China,we analyzed the aboveground biomass and its spatial distribution pattern of herbaceous marsh on a national scale for the first time.The results showed that in China the total area of herbaceous marsh was 9.7×10^(4) km^(2),the average density of aboveground biomass of herbaceous marsh vegetation was 227.5±23.0 g C m-2(95%confidence interval,the same below),and the total aboveground biomass was 22.2±2.2 Tg C(1 Tg=1012 g).The aboveground biomass density of herbaceous marsh vegetation is generally low in Northeast China and the Tibetan Plateau,and high in central North China and coastal regions in China.In different marsh distribution regions of China,the average biomass density of herbaceous marsh vegetation from small to large was as follows:temperate humid and semi-humid marsh region(182.3±49.3 g C m^(-2)) | Xiangjin SHEN Ming JIANG Xianguo LU Xingtu LIU Bo LIU Jiaqi ZHANG Xianwei WANG Shouzheng TONG Guangchun LEI Shengzhong WANG Chuan TONG Hangqing FAN Kun TIAN Xiaolong WANG Yuanman HU Yonghong XIE Muyuan MA Shuwen ZHANG Chunxiang CAO Zhichen WANG | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,7: | 4 |
| 3 | Novel Approach for Improved Tribological Behavior of Biodiesel Soot in Liquid Paraffin显示文摘To improve the tribological behavior of biodiesel soot(BDS) in liquid paraffin(LP), the order of biodiesel soot was increased through thermally oxidized treatment at 500 ℃, and the oil solubility was then improved through a modification using oleylamine(OLA). The BDS and thermally oxidized oleylamine-modified BDS(T-BDS-OLA)were characterized through various methods including the use of TG, FETEM, Raman spectroscopy, FTIR, and a zeta potentiometer. The tribological properties and mechanisms of the BDS before and after the thermally oxidized treatment modification were investigated using a ball-on-disc reciprocating tribometer, FESEM, 3 D laser-scanning microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. The results showed that T-BDS-OLA has a higher degree of order than the BDS, with an onion-like microstructure. BDS and T-BDS-OLA can both improve the antifriction and antiwear properties of LP at a soot content of 0.1%-0.4%, while T-BDS-OLA in LP shows better antifriction and antiwear properties than BDS. The tribological mechanisms can be attributed to both types of soot acting as spacing and roll bearing between the friction surfaces. | 6 | Effect of Biodiesel Soot on Tribological Behavior of Liquid Paraffin显示文摘Biodiesel soot(BDS) was collected from the combustion of biodiesel using a self-made soot trap. The effect of BDS on the tribological behavior of liquid paraffin(LP) was investigated using a four-ball tribometer. A rotating viscometer was used to investigate the effect of BDS on the viscosity of LP. The morphology, composition, and tribological mechanism of BDS were studied by means of FETEM, XRD, XPS, SEM/EDS, and the 3D laser scanning microscopy. Test results showed that the BDS aggregates were chain-like, and the average diameter of BDS was 35 nm. The BDS existed in the form of graphitic layers and amorphous carbon. The oxygen-containing functional groups in BDS consisted of the(C-O-C) and(C-O-H). With an increasing BDS content, the dynamic viscosity of LP increased and the maximum non-seizure load increased initially and became stable later. In addition, the average wear scar diameter(AWSD) of LP increased and the average friction coefficient of LP decreased at first and then increased later. The tribological mechanisms could be ascribed to the variation in content of BDS: BDS could act as a friction modifier for a lower friction coefficient in case of low BDS content.
