| 1 | Late Quaternary ice-rafted detritus events in the Chukchi Basin, western Arctic Ocean显示文摘The late Quaternary ice rafted detritus (IRD) events in the Chukchi Basin, western Arctic Ocean are indications of the provenance of the coarser detritus and ice export events, and also document the evolutionary histories of Beaufort Gyre and the North American Ice Sheet (NAIS). The sediment of core M03 from the Chukchi Basin was selected to study the regional response to the ice export events and the NAIS variability. The stratigraphic framework of M03 was established by a combination of lithological features and downcore color change cycles, AMS14C dating with foraminifera abundance and IRD events. The core was also compared with the adjacent core NWR 5 from the Northwind Ridge area. The core extends back to Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 7. A sedimentary hiatus of 10―20 ka might occur between 16 to 20 cm core depth. Seven IRD events are distinguished from the studied core and are presented during the early MIS 1, MIS 3, MIS 5 and late MIS 7. | 2 | Ice rafting history and paleoceanographic reconstructions of Core 08P23 from southern Chukchi Plateau, western Arctic Ocean since Marine Isotope Stage 3显示文摘Multiproxy investigations have been performed on Core 08P23 collected from the Chukchi Plateau, the western Arctic Ocean, during the Third Chinese National Arctic Expedition. The core was dated back to Marine Isotope Stage(MIS) 3 by a combination of Accelerator Mass Spectrometric(AMS) carbon-14 dating and regional core correlation. A total of five prominent ice-rafted detritus(IRD) events were recognized in MIS 2 and MIS 3. The IRD sources in MIS 3 are originated from vast carbonate rock outcrops of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago and clastic quartz in MIS 2 may have a Eurasian origin. Most δ18O and δ13C values of Neogloboquadrina pachyderma(sinistral)(Nps) in Core 08P23 are lighter than the average values of surface sediments. The lighter δ18O and δ13C values of Nps in the two brown layers in MIS 1 and MIS 3 were resulted from meltwater events; and those in the gray layers in MIS 3 were caused by the enhanced sea ice formation. The δ18O values varied inversely with δ13C in MIS 2 indicate that the study area was covered by thick sea ice or ice sheet with low temperature and little meltwater, which prevented the biological productivity and sea-atmosphere exchange, as well as water mass ventilation. | 6 | Robust Co_(3)O_(4)nanocatalysts supported on biomass-derived porous N-doped carbon toward low-pressure hydrogenation of furfural显示文摘The catalytic conversion of biomass platform chemicals using abundant non-noble metal nanocatalysts is a challenging topic.Here,high-density cobalt oxide nanoparticles loaded on biomass-derived porous N-doped carbon(NC)was fabricated by a tandem hydrothermal pyrolysis and mild nitrate decomposition process,which is a green and cheap preparation method.The Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles with the average size of 12 nm were uniformly distributed on the porous NC.The nanocomposites also possessed large surface area,high N content,good dispersibility in isopropanol,and furfural absorbability.Due to these characteristics,the novel cobalt nanocatalyst exhibited high catalytic activity for producing furfuryl alcohol,yielding 98.7%of the conversion and 97.1%of the selectivity at 160℃ for 6 h under 1 bar H2.The control experiments implied that both direct hydrogenation and transfer hydrogenation pathways co-existed in the hydrogenation reaction.The excellent catalytic activity of Co_(3)O_(4)@NC was attributed to the cooperative effects of porous NC and Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles.This approach provides a new idea to design effective high-density nonnoble metal oxide nanocatalysts for hydrogenation reactions,which can make full use of sustainable natural biomass. | Lin Zhang Lanlan Cheng Yechen Hu Qingguang Xiao Xiufang Chen Wangyang Lu | 2023 | Frontiers of Materials Science2023,17,2: | 0 |
| 7 | Isolation and identification of phosphorylated lysine peptides by retention time difference combining dimethyl labeling strategy显示文摘Protein phosphorylation plays essential roles in various biological procedures. Despite the well-established enrichment strategies for O-phosphoproteomics, the intrinsic acid lability of N–P phosphoramidate bond(phosphorylation of histidine, arginine and lysine) has impaired the progress of N-phosphoproteomics. Herein, we reported a retention time difference combining dimethyl labeling(ReDD) strategy for the isolation and identification of phosphorylated lysine(pLys) peptides. By such a method, pLys peptide could be isolated under 100000-fold interference of non-phosphorylated peptides. Furthermore, ReDD strategy was applied to map pLys sites from E. coli samples, leading to the identification of 11 pLys sites, among which K26p that originating from autonomous glycyl radical cofactor was validated both in mass spectrometry and HPLC co-elution experiments. Furthermore, 112 pLys sites from 100 proteins were identified in HeLa cells.
