| 2 | Xa7, a new executor R gene that confers durable and broad-spectrum resistance to bacterial blight disease in rice显示文摘Bacterial blight(BB)is a globally devastating rice disease caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae(Xoo).The use of disease resistance(R)genes in rice breeding is an effective and economical strategy for the control of this disease.Nevertheless,a majority of R genes lack durable resistance for long-term use under global warming conditions.Here,we report the isolation of a novel executor R gene,Xa7,that confers extremely durable,broad-spectrum,and heat-tolerant resistance to Xoo.The expression of Xa7 was induced by incompatible Xoo strains that secreted the transcription activator-like effector(TALE)AvrXa7 or PthXo3,which recognized effector binding elements(EBEs)in the Xa7 promoter.Furthermore,Xa7 induction was faster and stronger under high temperatures.Overexpression of Xa7 or co-transformation of Xa7 with avrXa7 triggered a hypersensitive response in plants.Constitutive expression of Xa7 activated a defense response in the absence of Xoo but inhibited the growth of transgenic rice plants.In addition,analysis of over 3000 rice varieties showed that the Xa7 locuswas found primarily in the indica and aus subgroups.A variation consisting of an 11-bp insertion and a base substitution(G to T)was found in EBEAvrXa7 in the tested varieties,resulting in a loss of Xa7 BB resistance.Through a decade of effort,we have identified an important BB resistance gene and characterized its distinctive interaction with Xoo strains;these findings will greatly facilitate research on the molecular mechanism of Xa7-mediated resistance and promote the use of this valuable gene in breeding. | Xifeng Chen Pengcheng Liu Le Mei Xiaoling He Long Chen Hui Liu Shurong Shen Zhandong Ji Xixi Zheng Yuchen Zhang Zhenyu Gao Dali Zeng Qian Qian Bojun Ma | 2021 | Plant Communications2021,2,3: | 9 |
| 3 | An investigation on application potentiality of microstructure heat sinks with different flow topological morphology显示文摘Microstructure heat sinks have great potential for high heat flux cooling.In this paper,we compared microchannel(MC),micro-pin-fin(MPF),manifold microchannel(MMC),and manifold micro-pin-fin(MMPF)heat sinks to figure out the pros and cons.Fluid flow and manifold unit models are used to study thermal and hydrodynamic performance.The heat sinks with different channel/fin sizes,manifold numbers,and porosities are discussed according to the pressure drop,temperature,thermal resistance,and coefficient of performance.Results show that MMC and MMPF heat sinks are superior to MC and MPF heat sinks,and there are also differences between MMC and MMPF heat sinks.Typically,the MMPF heat sink has lower maximum temperature,temperature non-uniformity,and total thermal resistance R_(tot).In contrast,the MMC heat sink has a lower pressure drop and higher COP.For the MMPF heat sink,at the nozzle width of 6.75μm and the MPF width of 70.71μm(porosity=0.167),it achieves the lowest total thermal resistance of R_(tot)=2.97×10^(-6)K m^(2)/W.Under 10^(3)W/cm^(2)heat flux,the maximum surface temperature rise is 29.74 K,and the maximum temperature difference of the heating surface is 3.15 K.This research initially provides a clear reference on the selection of single-phase cooling microstructures for ultra-high heat flux dissipation. | YAO XiaoLe SHI QianLei LIU Qian QIN Le JU Xing XU Chao | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,12: | 2 |

| 5 | HRCT Scans of Peripheral Non-Small Cell Lung Cancers and their Relationship with Cyclin D1 Expression:a Longitudinal Study显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate cyclin D1 expression in peripheral lung cancers and its relationship with CT signs and prognosis. METHODS Cyclin D1 expression in peripheral lung cancers and its relationship with the CT imaging and prognosis were analyzed retrospectively by means of SP immunohistochemistry and spiral CT scanning in 92 patients with peripheral lung cancer verified by pathology. RESULTS Cyclin D1 expression was related to deep lobulation,spiculate protuberance,short thin spinules sign and mediastina lymph node metastasis.Cyclin D1 expression was not related to tumor size,cavity,pleural indentation,histological type,differentiation,tumor TNM stage,age or sex.Cyclin D1 was a negative prognostic factor whose over-expression indicated a poor prognosis. | 9 | Study on Design Rainstorm Profile in Liuzhou City:Chicago Method显示文摘The design rainstorm profile is the basis of scientifically and rationally planning and designing urban drainage system,which can provide scientific theoretical basis and accurate design parameters for municipal construction,water and planning departments. In this paper,the minute-minute rainfall process data at Liuzhou National Meteorological Observation Station from 1975 to 2014 were used. Chicago method was used to analyze and study design rainstorm profile in urban district of Liuzhou,and the profiles of the rainfalls lasting for 30,60,90,120,150,and 180 min were obtained. The results showed that the design rainstorm profile with the same duration in each reappearance period was consistent in Liuzhou,and short-time rainfall profile roughly showed single-peak shape. The peak of each short-time design rainstorm profile was almost in 1/3 part of the whole rainfall process,and the intensity of rainfall increased with the prolonging of the recurrence period. | 10 | Boosting CO_(2) electroreduction to formate via bismuth oxide clusters显示文摘Supported metal(oxide)clusters,with both rich surface sites and high atom utilization efficiency,have shown improved activity and selectivity for many catalytic reactions over nanoparticle and single atom catalysts.Yet,the role of cluster catalysts has been rarely reported in CO_(2)electroreduction reaction(CO_(2)RR),which is a promising route for converting CO_(2)to liquid fuels like formic acid with renewable electricity.Here we develop a bismuth oxide(BiOn)cluster catalyst for highly efficient CO_(2)RR to formate.The BiOn cluster catalyst exhibits excellent activity,selectivity,and stability towards formate production,with a formate Faradaic efficiency of over 90%at a current density up to 500 mA·cm^(−2)in an alkaline membrane electrode assembly electrolyzer,corresponding to a mass activity as high as 3,750 A·gBi−1.The electrolyzer with the BiOn cluster catalyst delivers a remarkable formate production rate of 0.56 mmol·min−1 at a high single-pass CO_(2)conversion of 44%.Density functional theory calculations indicate that Bi4O_(3)cluster is more favorable for stabilizing the HCOO^(*)intermediate than Bi(001)surface and single site BiC_(4)motif,rationalizing the improved formate production over the BiOn cluster catalyst.This work highlights the great importance of cluster catalysts in activity and selectivity control in electrocatalytic CO_(2)conversion. | Xiaole Jiang Le Lin Youwen Rong Rongtan Li Qike Jiang Yaoyue Yang Dunfeng Gao | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,10: | 0 |
